A Windigo's journey

Johns POV

Ugh where am I? I got up only to fall over. Whoa I'm really dizzy.  I looked around me and could immediately tell that I wasn't in Afghanistan any more. I was in a lush green forest and I could hear tons of birds and other animals around me. So  I tried to heave myself up again and looked at my legs. OMG im a blue wispy horse! What kinda drugs am I on.... All I can remember is a silent bullet and people around me and then a black void, what the heck?

It is ok John said a familiar voice. What you again? I said. Yes me. The voice replied. I have come to teach you about your new body and what you will have to do to survive in this new world. Uhh I have two questions voice. What the hell am I? And where the hell am I? Ah very good questions. The voice said.  You are in the magical land of equestria.  And you are a Windigo a type of magical being that feeds off of the life force of creatures or the negative energy of others. I'm a windi what now? I replied. You are a Windigo. The voice said. Ok.... So voice what do you want me to do, go find some humans and let them experiment on me? I asked.  There are no humans in this world. But there are ponies as the top species. The voice replied. HA! Your kidding me right, ponies can't talk or have any intelligence about them, their brains are too small! I stated. Maybe in your world, but here in equestria ponies rule. The voice replied. You're not kidding.... Well umm I guess I'll just try to get up.

(30 minutes later)

Well it took a good half a hour voice but we did it I can stand and walk around. I said. That is good the voice replied. But now comes a bigger challenge eating. O God I replied. For now you will have to feed off of the life force of small woodland creatures, there are no intelligent beings around to put off negative energy. Ok so let's go find a wabbit! I replied.

(A couple minutes later)

Yeah by the way voice I never did ask how you knew my name and why your even helping me? All your questions will be answered in time John. The voice replied. Hey look I see a duck! I said. Ah yes you may eat that duck if you wish. The voice replied. Will do. I smirked. I trotted up to the duck and he didn't even run away. Huh weird.  I said.  Well I won't question it time for a good meal. I slapped the duck with my hoof and knocked it out. Now what voice? I asked. Use your magic to drain the duck. The voice replied. Umm how does one drain another ones life force? I asked. Just concentrate on pulling him with your mind and let your magic do the rest. The voice replied. I did as the voice instructed and started pulling the duck with my mind. Suddenly I felt like I had eaten a whole duck and more and the duck turned pale. Ugh Im so full. I told the voice. Yes you have succeeded in pulling the life force out of the duck. It is just like eating a large meal the voice explained. Well what's next on the agenda? I asked the voice. Keep heading north I'm detecting an intelligent creature. The voice replied. Ok you're the boss. I said.

(1hour later)

I've been walking forever voice. I groaned. I know just a little longer and we will enter the clearing of the creatures home. The voice explained. If you say so. I replied. I kept trudging on until I found a small clearing with a house in it. Hey voice I made it. I said. Yes you did and this is where I will also take my leave. All you have to do is knock on the door and explain yourself to the creature inside. The voice said. Yeah thanks for the social lesson mom. I smirked. Then I heard nothing in my head.

Well guess I might as well knock on the door. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! Hello is anyone home. I yelled. The door creaked open and in the door way was a zebra and her mouth was wide open. Umm Hi my name is John. I said. I extended a hoof. She just stared at me and then finally came back to her senses and shook my hoof. How do you do John.  My name is Zecora. She said. Umm hi Zecora. I said. A voice woke me up in the middle of the forest and told me to come here. I see, very odd, please come in and tell me more maybe we can find out who this voice was. Zecora said. Ok I replied. And I walked into her house.

Nice house Zecora. Thank you John. She replied. So John do you remember anything before the voice awakened you? She said. Umm.. Yeah! I was in the military on Earth and was tracking down this guy when I got shot and everything went black. She just stared at me again. John what species were you before you awoke?  I was human. I replied.  Ah I see. She said. Only a few of us are left that know of the humans and you are lucky because I am one. My father told me when I was just a filly about humans and your wars. He told me that there was one man that came to equestria and made friends with the ponies and formed a relationship with the Windigo. He eventually went on to marry a Windigo and they had a son. But an evil came lurking in the night and sent the son back to the human world. If I were to guess John you are the descendent of that son. Really.... So when I died I was revived as a Windigo becuase my great grandfather was one? I asked. I would suppose so John. She replied. Have you eaten yet John? She said.  Yes the voice taught me how but it told me not to eat intelligent creatures. I replied. I see, that is good, in the morning we will go down to the local village. There is some pony there I wish you to meet. She said. Ok well I'm gonna hit the hay on the couch if ya don't mind. I said. Not at all go ahead. She replied. Goodnight John have pleasant dreams. Thanks Zecora you too. I replied.
