The day my life went down hill (prologue)
Okay, how am I going to explain that my life took a turn for the insane asylum? Probably should start with the why. This whole mess started over a book. Yea, some stupid book ruined my life. Best part... it's blank.
I'm not making much sense here, so let me turn back the clock and start with how I even got this book to begin with.
I wake up to the sound of light rain splatting against my window. Today was supposed to be a fun day for my family. We always have this giant picnic in the back yard with all my relatives. Parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, great grandparents, that over affectionate aunt and annoying jerk of an uncle, even friends of the family. Point is every year, we all get together and have fun. At the end we dig up, and rebury a time capsule.
This year, yeah not happening.
Everyone has something that just popped up out of nowhere. Some adults have work to catch up on. Kids either are sick or have school. There was a lot of snow days this year, so there making up for it now. Then there are those idiots that graduate and think they can start drinking. Some might have gotten away with it if they didn't decide to drive home, or have some drunk girl lean out the window and scream at the police. I only know this because I saw my cousins car get pulled over by said cop. My cousin and his friends had to spend about a week in jail. The girl, I have no idea who she was, got longer cause she tried to bribe the officer into letter her go.
So no one is really coming this year, but that's not going to stop me from digging up the time capsule. It's an old tradition started by my great grandfather, bless his soul. I don't know why he started it, but he did have some weird habits and stories. He was a strange one. For the record, those are his words.
Grumble.
Now my stomach is yelling at me. Now I have to get up, but I'm comfortable right where I am.
GRUMBLE.
"I'm up, alright. give me a minute to grab something to eat." I make my way into the kitchen an make myself some food. Nothing fancy, just a bowl of cereal. I don't have enough energy or patience to cook anything, not even fry some eggs. After I finish, I proceed with getting dressed in every fashion designers worst nightmare. I grab the first thing out of my draws and put it on. I have never understood fashion, nor will I even try to pretend like I do.
After I'm fully clothed, I get on with the rest of my day. Doing chores, checking my email for anything that isn't junk mail. Today's my day off and my parents and sister out doing something that doesn't concern me. So I got the whole house to myself, yeah.
"let's see what I'm deleting today. Random dating sites, gone. Cheap insurance plans I don't need, no thank you. Threatening email from the people that kidnapped my family... damn it sis." For those of you wondering what that last one was, my sister likes to mess with me. It might have worked if not for her email address being right next to the subject title. I check her little (fake) panic attack and, surprise, she says she love to have seen my face when opened this. One day she's going to get in so much trouble for this. Moving on, they're going to be a couple days late getting home thanks to traffic.
"Guess that means I'm going to dig that thing out by myself." I don't care if there if a hundred family members here or just myself. It's coming out of the ground today one way or another. I'm just glad it doesn't weigh more than me. still going to be a pain to dig out though.
"Let's see, fed the birds, did the dishes, took out the trash, planted stink bomb under that parasites bed. Am I forgetting anything that isn't defacing the back yard?"
And right on Que, the bell hanging on the front door rings. Right, gotta take the dog out so she can deface the lawn. I go and take the family pet out. She's a rough collie with enough fur to make you look like big foot. We call her curtains, because when we went out to get her, dad didn't want a pet, so we told him we were going to pick up curtains. We brought her and dad said he thought we were getting curtains. Our response went something like this: "We did."
I take her out and let her run around. With the way she runs, you would think she was part rabbit, cause she looks like she hopes from her hind legs to her front ones. That and she likes to jump on people to get attention. The backyard is like having three right next to each other. On the left side is the garden, and the holds the old barn that is starting to come apart. Some boards bending outward, a hole or two in each side. It's more for storage space than actual use. There are also some trees here and there. I don't know the names of them, but there aren't any fruit trees. After the yard is nothing more than some woodlands. Nothing dangerous about it
Anyway the rain was no just a light sprinkle and the ground was a little damp. No big deal, like my mom would tell me, rain makes you beautiful. Which is why I would lock my sister out in the middle of a down pour. Now if only it made her less of a pain. I go down to the shed on the far side of the garden and bring out a shovel, a metal pole with a pointed end to help loosen the dirt, and a post hole digger. I make my way over to this large tree stump that's in between the center of the yard and the barn. On the way over I notice this black van that's parked on the road. This van belongs to the neighbor, so there has never been anything to worry about. Heck, I've seen take the thing and cover with all kinds of holiday junk. Still doesn't stop the feeling like someone is watching me in it, but that's more my mental illness. If you think that's bad, thanks to my disorder, I thought I could do the Jedi mind trick when I was in middle school.
Curtains is chasing after a jogger that's going by, she knows to stay in the ward so no problem there. Pulling out my I-pod I see the time is 10:27. Turning on some music, I get to work on digging up the capsule. This is going to take awhile.
After putting the dog back inside, getting some lunch, I finally uncovering the dang thing. It looks more like an old wooden trunk, with leather straps and a metal key hole. It's about half way up my thigh, somewhere between four and five feet long. At some point during my digging, it had stopped raining. Now I'm sitting here, in a hole, cold and wet, with an old trunk, at 3:48 pm.
"Okay let's get this thing inside and do... something with it? I really should have thought this through more." With my own stupidity acknowledged. I proceed to take the trunk out, cover the hole with a large piece of wood so nothing falls in, and finally take the trunk inside.
"Let's see what 'treasures' everyone left last year, and how many little kids just grabbed some rock off the ground."
Couple of medals from sports, a few toys, messages some people wrote, and the old album with a group picture of everyone present at each picnic. Also, 47 rocks of various shape, color, and size. Still better than finding a bunch of moldy food from the previous year. So glad we added that rule. Packing everything back in and tossing the rocks back into the yard, I take the trunk back to the hole place it in a start to bury it for another year long dirt nap. While shoveling dirt back where it belongs, my shovel hits something that isn't dirt or a rock.
"What the heck? Oh, please tell me this isn't anything illegal?" What? I said before there is something wrong with me. This is just the same paranoia from before. Stick the shovel into the dirt, I reach over and find a leather cover book with this weird symbol on it.
(Just think of this without the sticky notes or book mark.)

"Well, it's nothing I have to report, so whatever." Tossing the book off to the the side, I proceed to finish drowning the time capsule in freshly removed soil, and returning the tools to there ~~resting place (try again)~~ place of residence (better). After that, I grab the book and make my way inside. At this point the sun has set, and I'm getting the creeped out feeling again. Damn this paranoia of mine. I'm getting better, but it's still annoying.
"Let's see, what's for dinner?" I think there might be some leftovers in the fridge. Walked over to the redneck Air Conditioner, I pop it open and take a look at my options.
No. No. Never did like that stuff. No. N- Did That one just move? Oh God, I Think it sees me... FUCK IT, I'M OUT!
With that I slam the door shut on... whatever that thing was, and make sure it can't get out. I decide to just make a peanut butter sandwich. Normally, I would add jelly, but...
Yeah, not worth the risk.
After finishing of my sandwich, I decide to take crack open the book. I grab the thing from where I left it, take a seat, and crack the thing open. Inside is blank page after blank page, but there was something inside the front cover.
"What the heck is Huntik? Eh, I'll deal with it when mom and dad get back." With that out of the way, I decide to waste time watching TV, then go to bed.
During the middle of the night, my greatest enemy chooses to strike. In other words, curtains came running into my room like the scared three year old she is. Before you ask, she a scaredy cat, not an attack dog. Anyways she comes in, hides under bed and starts whimpering. I wake up to this and am cursing this dog to hell and back for what she has done. She only does this to me. My door can be closed and my sisters can be non-existent , but she'll just sit there scratching at the door to get it opened.
Looking under at my currently shacking dog, and in the half conscious tone, I ask. "What could have scarred you into running into my room this time." But she just looks at me like a kid who saw a monster in there closet. She looks at the door, then back to me, as if asking me to go chase off the boogeyman... or would it be boogeydog?
"You really expected me to get up to chase off somethi-"
Smash. Okay, the dog is under the bed, the birds are in the cage, and we don't own a cat. This can't be good.
"You idiot, I told you to be careful." That sounded like a guy.
"Well sorry if I can't see where I'm going." That one sounded female. What the heck are these two doing in my house?
"Oh shut up and find that damn book before the kid wakes up." The only book I could thing of was the journal, but would they want with that blank thing.
Since I'm a (semi-)normal person, I start freaking out. Oh, don't acted like you wouldn't if someone broke into your house in the middle of the night. I calm down after a couple of minutes, grab my bat and start sneaking out to see who's in my house. If you think I should call the cops first, then you're right. Only problem is that my cell is in the kitchen and the house phone is in the living room. As make my way around, I see one of the thief's searching through the couch cushions. Is he looking for that book or the remote? The weird part is that this guy isn't wearing a ski or any of the typical 'I'm going to rob a bank' attire. No this guy is just wearing a black suit and sunglasses. It's original, I'll give them that. With some way to identify them, I return to my quest to retrieve my salvation.
I'm almost to the phone when lights start shining through the window. Looking outside I see my family pulling into the driveway.
"Shit they're back. Come on moron, let's go before they find us."
"Man, the boss isn't going to like this. And with that, they leave through a broken window. How did I not hear that brake? With them gone I rush over to the phone and start calling the cops. Family walks in, sees me on the phone, ask questions, wadda wadda, bla bla bla. At this point I'm to tired to care. Long story short they didn't expect this kind of thing to happen, but were relieved that they didn't take anything. The cops showed up about half an hour later, and I tell them everything I know about what happened. Well, everything except the book, but something told me that they already knew about it. I'm probably just being paranoid, but it makes me feel better. After they leave, I finally go back to bed.
The next day, I pull out the book to see if I can find some kind of secret flap, or hidden message, or something. A bit of lemon juice and a little heat later, I find something written inside the front cover.
The Seekers Guide to Titans, Amulets, Powers, and Huntik.
"What the heck does all that mean?"
"What does what mean?"
"Holy!" And with that I end up being pulled backwards onto the floor. "Owww..." Looking up I see my sister starring at me, grinning like the demon she is. Being the pain she is, she loves watching me, and everyone else, suffer. "What do want Madea?"
"I want to know what you're doing."
"I'm doing none'ya."Do you ever learn? I've pulled this trick on her a couple of times before. I get back up reset my chair and drop back into it.
"None'ya?"Guess not. Close the book, look her straight in the eyes with the most serious face I can. And...
"None'ya business." Her left eye starts twitching as she glares at me, probably wishing she could turn me to stone with her eyes. Of course being the ~~jerk~~ older brother that I am, I have to start taunting her. "I forget sis, was this the forty seventh you've fallen for that, or the forty eighth?" With that she turns, stomps out of my room, and starts calling for the mother. Once she's out of the room I return to examining the book. "Now, what other secrets are you hiding?"
"None that you need to know." The second I hear that, I plant my feet on the floor and lean forward. Why, because fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, and I'm the idiot. That my not be how it goes, but in the end, you still look stupid.
I look back and find my mom with that same knowing smirk all women seem to have, only inches from my face. In response, I give the only glare a child can give there parents and get away with it. In other words I lower my eye brows at her. "Hi mom."
"Hi sweetie. Now what did you do to anger the spawn of unholy darkness?" She asked with a smile.
"Worse, I mocked my sister." Returning the smile with my own.
"Well if you wake up withe some missing parts, go cry to your father. Now what do you have here?" She looks over to the book and closes it to see the name. She seems confused for a second, then goes wide eyed at the symbol on the front. I guess she's seen something like this before. Let's see what she knows abo-
"Where did you find this." I might be hearing things, but she sounded shocked almost... scarred.
Find, not get? Does she know what this is, or what huntik is? This might be my chance to get some answers. "I found it while I was reburying the chest yesterday. Why? Do you know what it is?" Once I finish, I see hear tense for a second, but snaps out of it to answer me.
She puts on her 'perfect mother' act, which she only does when she wants to hide something, then answers. "I just think your great grandfather had a journal like that. He would take it everywhere. Maybe you found it, though I don't remember that symbol being on it."
I don't remember grandpa having any journal, but that still didn't answer my question. What are you hiding mom.
"I'm not hiding anything, honey." She say with a smirk. What the, ARE YOU PSYCHIC?!
"No, it's a mothers intuition." More like a women's one way telepathy. That is why they expect a guy to know what they actually mean when they talk. They forget that guy's can't hear there thoughts. It may not be real, but I'm a guy so I'm going to guess that it does. Easier than trying to understand there 'logic.'
"Ignoring the fact that you keep using your 'intuition' to read my mind, is there anything you can tell me that might explain why this thing was in buried with the chest in the first place?" At this she puts on her 'thinking face.' She looks up, puckers her lips, and taps her chin with a finger. After a couple of seconds, she walks out of my room. I'm expecting her to say something, but my patients are in vain.
"...Well thanks for the help mom." And another distraction has left. I, once again, return to trying to figure out this book. In the end I can't reveal any more invisible ink on the book. Maybe this is just some poor joke or something.
The rest of the day goes by with nothing of any importance happening. At dinner Madea was trying to get under my skin, dad was talking about work, and mom was... well she kept looking at me like she wanted to say something, but couldn't bring herself to. I was just in my own little world, so that irritated Madea to no end. Now back to back to my room to waste time doing whatever.
On the way mom stops me and hand me a rock on a string. She tells me that it belonged to my great grandfather, as well as that he wanted me to have it. It doesn't have any fancy design, shape, or color. It's just a rock on a string.Well it must have been important to him if he wanted me to have it.
Later that night Madea comes in my room and wakes me up. I know something is going on since she didn't dump a bucket of ice water on my head. Apparently the guy's in suits came back, and they brought some friends. They seem to have brought a small army with them this time, as well as the same cops that we called before. That book is starting to cause more trouble than it's worth.
I grab my bag, throw the book, along with some other stuff that might be useful, in and meet my parents and sister in the basement. This may not seem like the smartest idea, but we have this little tunnel that lead to a cellar door at the edge of the forest. Once we are outside, we start making a break for it.
"Hey you, stop." I turn back for a second and see it's the same guy from before, I think. It's hard to tell when there it's the middle of the night. I guess this guy forgot that, in a chase, the word 'stop' translates into 'your phone is on 1%.' A few of his buddies start chasing after us, but we have a good head start on them.
"Augerfrost!"Auger-What now? from behind me comes this weird little blue light thing.
BOOM The second the laser hits the ground, it explodes, knocking a bit of dirt into the air. THEY HAVE LASERS NOW?! After that little light show, I can see my family starting to panic. Since my father is the type to plan for anything, seeing him freak out is never a good thing.
Come on, think. There has to- BOOM -be a way to get-BOOM BOOM-rid of these guys. BOOM! Getting really annoyed with that. What is so important about this book in the first- THE BOOK! Now having a plan, somewhat, I proceed to put into action. Running into the forest, I take out the book and start shouting. "I never thought the library would go this far over an overdue book!" That got their attention on me. You might consider that a stupid move, but maybe now my family will have a better chance at getting out of here and getting some help.
Running Through the forest is no problem for me, since it's one of those things I do to clear my head. I don't have the place memorized, but I still have the home field advantage. With all the roots, rocks, trees, and everything else to prevent a straight path, there is no way they can hit me with... whatever it is they're using.
"MINDRONE!" Thinking they are using another weapon I turn back to see what it will do. When I do I see this giant bug thing with one huge, red eye starring right at me.

Next thing I know, it's jumping from tree trunk to tree trunk, and closing the distance between us, fast. Turning back to the front, I see a low hanging branch a bit away from me. Let's see if cartoons really are full of it. Step by step: Duck under branch, grab branch, pull back, wait for giant monster bug to realize what is about to happen and...
SMACK
Right in the eyeball. With beetle boy trying to stop seeing splinters, I turn back and make my escape. I loose the suits and the bug thing a little later. Only problem now is that I have gone deeper then ever before.
It's the middle of the night, I've been runners from goons, and add in running from monster insects just for fun. Okay, you know what?Skip it. I'm to tired to care anymore. With that I clime up a tree, tie myself to a branch so I won't fall off, and finally get some sleep.
That's basically how my life went from average to insane. All because of a book. If you think this is bad, wait till you hear hat happens next.
Saving The ungrateful jerks
Why does my bed feel like it got switch with a log? I crack an eye somewhat open to see I'm tied to a tree trunk. Well that explains why I can't move. Now why am I tied up in a tree? I proceed to untie myself while I try to figure out what happened. I'm not the most aware person in the morning until after breakfast.
"If this is one of your pranks Madea, then this is pretty weak coming from the same girl who put a scorpion next to my face in the morning." Don't worry the stinger was removed, but doesn't change how high I ended up jumping out of bed. I find my bag. Knowing I always carry something to eat in it, I reach over and pull out something to sink my teeth into.
With something in my gut, I get myself down and take a look around. I have no idea where I am, maybe Madea did better than I thought. Might as well get going. I wonder if she left me my iPod? I look back in my bad and see my iPod... on top of the book. And just like that, I remember everything. "Guess this means I have to hide until I know what's going on. If that's the case, then where am I supposed to go?"
I start walking of in a random direction. With nothing better to do, I grab the book and see if I can find anything new. I'm not really expecting anything, just board and don't want to waste the battery if I can help it. Imagine my surprise when I find something new in the book.
Chapter 1: Seekers
Seekers are beings (Beings?) who can control Titans or utilize spells. (So they use magic?) Once a seeker has a Titan's Amulet/ring, that Titan can be summoned to fight at the Seeker's side. (Instead of for them? Good to know they aren't just some kind of slave.) Seekers who have collected Amulet's can also learn how to use magical powers that make them stronger than any regular beings. (Is that what those guys that attacked us were? Wait stronger than regular beings, Guess it was a good thing I ran instead of fought them head on.) When a Seeker bonds with a Titan, they are capable of summoning that Titan as long as they possess its Amulet. Although they can give the Titan's Amulet to another. Once the transfer has occurred, the new bond allows that Seeker to summon the Titan.
It just stops again. I'm not feeling like I've more questions than answer. The only thing I'm feeling is a headache after all that. I swear, if this magic junk or what ever doesn't kill me, then I'll do it myself. Everyone has something that will make them contemplate smashing there face against a brick wall, headaches are mine. It's when over people act like they're better than everyone else that makes me want to smash a wall with their face.
Since I can't find anything else in the book, I stick it back in my bag and keep moving. The forest seems to get thicker, the farther in I go. With how thick the tree tops are getting, it's going to be getting dark a lot sooner than it should. At least with a there being so little room up there, they won't be able to just fly a copter over the area to find me.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
That sounded like a girl. Can't be Madea, she gets the mouth of a sailor when she's in trouble. It might be those guys from before trying to trick me, or someone might actual be in trouble. If I don't check it's going to bug me all day. With my heroic inner monologue out of the way, I make my way in the direction of the scream.
After a little bit of power walking, I start hearing what sounds like a fight. Considering what the book said about Seeker's being on steroids, my procrastination is aloud. There is a small clearing up a head, and from the sound of it, that's where the confrontation is taking place. I stay low and out of sight, since I don't want to get caught in the crossfire. When I get close enough to see what is going on, I almost turned and ran like the devil's mother was after me. No sudden moves, they might stop fighting each other and come after me. Still What the heck are those things!
What are currently getting the snot beat out of them, are three guys covered in gold armor and using spears. The first guy doesn't have anything fancy on him, but one seems to have a horn of a unicorn stuck on his helmet. Another guy has, what looks like, a pair of white wings sticking out of his back. Worst part is that they're moving around like he's trying to fly. If the amount of breaks, dents, and blood on their armor is anything to go by, then they are loosing this fight. The guy with wings looks especially bad. A lot of the feathers on his wings seem to have been yanked out, and the wing itself looks ready to fall off at the slightest breeze.
The guys they are fighting don't seem to be in as bad shape. Only problem is there are eight of them, and look like someone crossed a cat and a bird with a human. I guess they're some kind of griffin people. They don't seem to have much in the way of armor and weapons, but why use a sword when you have claws? Or would those be talons? They seem to have taken a bit of a beating themselves, but look ready for another couple rounds. From what I can tell there are three guy's and five girls.
There also seem to be two girl... things? I don't know, they look like someone added horse DNA to a human. They are both off to the side away from the fight, hugging each other. One has white fur and long pink... mane I guess? Two white wings sticking out of her back, and a long horn coming from her head. Does that mean the horn on the helmet of that other guy is actually connected? The other one seem to have dark blue fur, wings, and horn. Might be related. Blue mane and... tail. They have tails! They all have tails!
"... How did I not see that before? Forget the strangeness of the situation for now. What can I do to even the odds?"
Looking around for something one of these guys might have dropped, preferably a gun. A guy can hope, can't he? A bit off to my right, I see what looks like a campsite, or what's left of it. ... Is there anything else around here that I don't see, or is that it? On the ground, about three yards from me, is a cast iron skillet. Okay, found a "weapon," now I just need some kind of distrac- And something just popped into my head. "Bingo"
Third Person:
(First time I'm trying this, so forgive me if I suck. Also because it's a pain, the old English is going to be limited to the princesses.)
The griffins were Converging on the weakened guards to finish them off and take their prize. The guards had not been ready to be jumped by griffins, because of this the griffins had been able to slip magic inhibitors onto the princesses. Even if they did miss the one unicorn, it didn't make that much difference in the fight anyways.
With the princesses out of the way, the odds had quickly fallen in favor the griffins. The guards had fought as best they could, but once their Pegasus had her feathers ripped from her wings, the fight had became one sided. With their unicorn losing energy to cast spells, the fight was practically over at this point.
"If you surrender now, we promise not to prolong your suffering any longer." Said the lead griffin, with a confident smirk. In return, the guards just glared at the leader of the attack. "I guess you just want to do this the hard way, to bad. Well you know what the want, kill-"
Out of no where music starts playing.
Everyone turns to the edge of the clearing to see where that music is coming from. The only thing they see is the bushes and tree just sitting there. The lead griffin turns to one of her subordinates. "Hey, go check it out." With the order given, the griffin goes into the woods to look for what is making the noise.
BAM!
The griffins turn around to find one of there own having been knocked out. The griffin closest to her ally saw something moving toward her. When she looked up, her vision had gone black.
BAM!
Then she hit the ground unconscious with a slightly broken and bloody beak.
The other griffins noticed this and everyone looked over to see some kind of fur less... thing in strange clothing, hold a frying pan. It looked over to the griffin, then turned and made a break to the forest to get away.
"Don't just stand there, get him!" And with that, two griffins started chasing the new creature. The Weird being got to the forest, but was about to be tackled by the griffins. It stopped, took a step to the side, then turned and swung the frying pan right into the face of the closer griffin. Knocking him out and breaking his beak, sending blood scattering over the area. Unfortunately, he did not have any time to react when the forth griffin grabbed him and slammed him into a tree.
"You little freak, you're going to pay for what you did." With that said, the griffin proceeded to grab the things throat and start to crush it. Along with that, the griffin also started jamming its claws into its gut as well. The being grabbed onto the griffins arm and tried to pull it off, but couldn't get it to budge.
"Will you stop playing and kill it already. We have work to do, in case you forgot."
"Okay boss, but can you blame me for wanting to have a fu-" BAM! The creature had taken this as its chance to get in another hit. With unknown strength, the being managed to knock the griffin away. While everyone was shocked, the being grabbed something from around its neck lifted it toward the sky, and spoke.
"Bring the Frost! NORDRAKE!" As it spoke, the thing in his hand started to glow. From behind the being, wings had spread out and what looks a dragon made from ice and stone had flown up, then landed behind the being. It stood about three times the being's height.

"GRRAAAAAAAAAA!!" The dragon had just roared into the air, but fire had not came out. Instead fog had been blasted out, and the air had grown much colder. The dragon had looked back to the griffin, who were now cowering, and growled.
"I suggest you chicken faced freaks grab your friends and leave." The being said with a look that you would give a toddler throwing a tantrum.
"A-And w-what makes y-you think we w-w-will?" Stuttered the lead griffin trying to give off the impression that she wasn't scared. This only got them a growl from the dragon. After that the other griffins rushed over and grabbed their sleeping friends and started to leave. Just about any griffin can take on a two or three ponies each. A dragon that size, would take a at least twenty griffins to kill it.
"Hold it." The griffins stopped dead in their tracks, afraid of what was to come. "I'm saw a couple of metal collars on those two, would one of you like to hand me the keys to them?"
The lead griffin growled, but one look from the dragon is all it took to get them to hand over the key. "Now get out of here, my friend is hungry and I don't think chicken is good for him." The griffins were going to say something, but the dragon chose that moment to growl and lick its maw. With that the griffins forgot they can fly and run like the they chickens they are.
"Okay big guy, back you go." The being said as it held up its hand. When he did that, the dragon changed into a purple energy cloud that soon covered him, then vanished. Once it was gone, the being dropped to the ground.
First Person:
Dear God, that was exhausting! Is this what it's like to be a seeker. There better be something about this in that book, or I'm burning it. After all that, I was on my back, trying to get my lungs to inflate for more than half a second at a time.
After a minute of eating air. I sit up and take a look around and see those the two girls looking at me in both confusion and... actually just confusion. Weird how they don't seem to be afraid. I look at the rock necklace mom gave me and see that it changed.

"Guess this is an amulet. I wonder what the titan looks like? Eh, I'll worry about that later." I get up, only to find standing up a little difficult, but nothing I can't handle. I walk over to the girls, still can't believe I missed the collars as well, then the three, ~~totally not about to pass out,~~ get in between us. Now that I'm closer, I notice that all three of them are female. The one with wings looks ready to die fighting, the other two... not sure what to do. "What are you doing?"
"We will not allow you to harm the princesses, Beast." The middle one says. From left to right: neither, wings, horn.
I raise an eyebrow at this. I save them and they treat me like I just told their kids there is no Santa, whatever. "Think fast." Then toss the key over to the winged one, who almost fell over if it wasn't for the one with the horn. They look at key, then back at me almost asking 'Why?'
"..."

"..."
"...Are you going to take those collars off of them, or are we going to have a starring contest?" And all three blush at little my comment, the one with a horn grabs the key and leave the one with wings to her fate. Really need to learn what they're called.
Bam! "Gah!" I'm going to say that was karma for calling me a beast. Besides it was a little funny. "Dammit Silent, did you really have to drop me." The grounded bird whines.
"Well you should have been more careful, if I wasn't here to catch you before then you would be dead from the fall. I mean really, you thought taking on eight griffins by yourself was a good idea?" For someone named silent, she sure wasn't. And just like that the collars were off. The second the princesses were standing, All three of them fell into a kneeling position and started asking if they were okay. They could die of blood lose any second now, and they're more concerned with if those two got grass stains on their dresses. I of course roll my eyes at this nonsense.
"Well, its bean fun, but I think I'll be going now." I turn and start walking off to retrieve my stuff. Then something happens, I'll give you three guess.
"HALT!" That got me grab to my ears to make sure they weren't bleeding. Good news, they aren't bleeding. Bad news, that gave me a headache. This isn't going to be my best first impression. I take the 'I'm going to kill you' face and put on my best 'High, I'm having the best day of my life! Please don't ruin it.'
"You need something?" Bad idea.
"How dare you speak to the princesses in such a way! Get on your-Gah!" Said the hot head with wings, walking up to me. She was about to try and force me onto the ground. needless to say, I didn't give her the chance.
"Will you shut up before I punch you in the face. You're giving me a headache."
"You know that works better when you wait to punch them." Said Silent. I think I see a grin forming on her.
"You're not helping Silent! And why are you standing there, this beast disrespected the prin-Gah!"
"That was for calling me a beast. Also, didn't I tell you to shut up?" At this point she looks ready to kill someone, namely me, and her nose (muzzle?) is bleeding a little
"Silence!" Once again, I need to check to make sure my ears aren't bleeding. Nope, just ringing. You know what, skip it." I start walking back over to my stuff. One of them goes to talk, but I beat them to it.
"I'm just getting my stuff, so if you could please not shout, that be great." There may have been a bit of venom, but my head is pounding, so I don't care. The hot head goes to ~~bitch~~ 'correct my treatment of royalty.' Once again I don't give her the chance. "You're shouting is giving me a headache, and I'm not the friendliest guy when I have a headache."
I go over, retrieve my things, and dig up my iPod. I make sure to turn it off first, don't want to waste the battery if I don't have to. Besides, you never know when a chicken will be coming for you. I go into my bag and pull of some chocolate covered espresso beans, they help with my headaches a lot better then aspirin. After downing a couple of those, I'm not going to get any sleep tonight, I make my way back over to the group. They seem to have recovered from their injuries. I raise an eye at this, but choose not to ask. I notice that Silent and the darker princess have a little smirk. The other princess and the guard that has been sitting there, no emotion what so ever. And then there's the hot head. Let's not give her the chance to start again.
"I have no problems answering your questions, however if she-" pointing to hot head. "-doesn't stay quit, then I'm out of here, okay... Also, keep your voices down, so I don't have to worry about my ears bleeding." Hot head goes to say something, but both myself and the pink haired princess stop her. Me, by pointing my finger at her. The princess, by raising her hand. Either way she shut up instantly. "Now that we got that out of the way, who wants to go first?"
(sorry if I butcher the old english.)
"Who art thou? Thou seem to be an earth pony, yet thou doeth not boweth to thy princesses." Says the pink head. Like red head but it's PINK! Anyway, the 'pony' comment gets my attention. I'm going to have to be careful with what I say about horses.
"My name is Alexander Beowulf. Also, I'm not a pony." They asked who I am, not for my real name. I still don't know if I can trust these guys, so better safe than sorry. The last part got me some weird looks.
"If thou isn't a pony, then what art thou?" This time it's the darker one.
"Human." My answer doesn't seem to help. If anything, hot head looks ready to attack me at the drop a dime.
"And what is a 'HOOMIN' exactly?" Thank you Silent for messing up the name of my species. This is going to take a while.
After talking back and forth for a while, I learned that I'm not in Kansans anymore. I had also learned that I'm in a place call Equestria, populated by unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies. Strange thing is they say "earth" pony, but are referring to the land, dirt, ground, etc.
They land is currently ruled by, a forth race, the alicorn royal family. King something, queen who cares, and their kids princess Celestia (pink head), and princess Luna (the dark one). There are other races out there like the chickens, dragons, Diamond dogs, and changelings. They asked a bit about my stuff, but from what I saw of their technology level, I decided to play it off as a trick I know. Don't want these guys finding out about guns, still don't know if I can trust them or not. They asked how I made a dragon appear out of no where. Told them everything I knew and should them the book. There was only one new thing in there.
Titan: Nordrake
Attack: 4
Defense: 4
Size: Average
Type: Litho-Titan Sharp-shooter
Special Abilities: Ice blast
They were a little freaked when it said Nordrake was average sized. I tried calling him out again, but couldn't. Hot Head tackled me to the ground saying how I couldn't be trusted, worst part is the princesses asked if I could bring him out. I swear they knew that would happen. Also learned the guards are Hot Head (that's her real name, Who knew?), Silent Spell, and Iron Guard.
After all the questioning had been done, we all made our way back to the castle. I wanted to just leave all together, but apparently if a pony has a horn, then they can just levitate you with them. Celestia decided to show me how it worked. Needless to say, I wasn't happy. The entire time, hot head had been glaring at me, Iron didn't seem to care, and Silent was watching the scenery go by. I was being held hostage by magic, talking, anthro ponies. Celestia was looking through the book using every spell she could think of on it. No effect what so every.
"How many times do I have to tell you that you're wasting you time? I lost count somewhere around twenty eight." I say to Celestia, as she continues to make my book glow gold. Yes, I am now claiming the thing that has caused me nothing but trouble, as my property.
From what I could tell she either didn't hear me, or didn't care. But of course one of them decides to take this chance to speak. "I thought I told you to respect the princesses, beast." Hot head will never learn, will she.
With a fake British accent, I reply. "My Apologies, my dear. Shall I start treating those have taken me hostage with the respect they deserve" Hot head smiles at my response, clearly thinking she has won. Please tell me you aren't that stupid.
"See to it that you do just that." This is going to be great. I can see Silent and Iron face palming. Luna seems to be smirking.
"Right now?" I can hear Silent mumble about how stupid her friend is. And Iron gives Hot Head a look that creams 'you poor naive dumb-ass, you brought this on your self.'
"Immediately." She growls a little. You asked for it.
"If you say so, Hot Head." I smile like I just cheated the devil and got away with it. The second I say that, three things happen. First, Luna cast a spell around herself and her sister. Second, Silent and Iron fold their ears back and cover them. And Third, Hot Head looks at me confused. I then suck in some air, then let it out, like so.
"HELP, THESE PSYCHOPATHS ARE KIDNAPPING ME AND ARE PLANNING ON USING ME AS A BLOOD SACRIFICE TO SUMMON CTHULHU! I keep screaming about death, killing, demons, and all other kinds of bad voodoo stuff I can think of, as well as thrash about in my none physical bindings, for a good five minutes. Once I'm done, Hot head looks like she just had a flash band go off near her. She was blinking, opening and closing her mouth, Rubbing her ears, and swaying on her feet, hooves, whatever they have.
Luna was nice enough to put the spell she cast on Iron and Silent after the first minute. They were glaring at us, mostly Hot Head for being stupid. I just give them an innocent smile, while Hot Head glares a hole into my head and growls like the animal she is. I think someones fangs are showing.
"That is enough out of the both of thou, now be quiteth before I placeth s silence spelleth onto the both of thou." Said Luna with a bit of irritation from my screaming bloody murder. Needless to say that shut Hot Head up and got her to leave me alone. Finally.
during this how event, celestia had not once taken her eyes of the book. I swear if there was a tree in her path, she would just walk into it, get knocked on her ass, and keep looking through it like nothing happened. She's as bad as a sixteen year old girl calling her boy friend and stuck in the 'No you hang up first' thing. Never understood that, probably never will.
"Hey Celestia, find anything new in the book yet?"
With a sigh, she response. "Nay-" Don't laugh, don't laugh, take this seriously, Dam it. "-We hast not been able to findeth aught anything new the charm cast on this booketh."
"Eh, don't worry about it, I sure the info in there will make itself known when it wants to."
"...Info?" All five ask at once. Here we go again.
After explaining 'slang' and 'It's not what you say, it's how you say it,' Celestia had gone back to blessing my book to ward off evil spirit. After a bit longer, the sun had started to go down. With the night setting we (and by that I mean everyone else) decided to stop and rest. The guards start working on getting food and Luna decides to take away Celesta's addiction, but nothing is ever that simple.
This leads the two to start fighting over it, which then escalates into other stuff I don't care about. At the moment, I'm more concerned with the fact that the book is floating with two different colored aura around it. "Uh... girls, is that supposed to be happening?" My efforts to gain the attention of the two princess was in vain.
"Girls?" Now I'm starting to see in two shades as well.
"Girls!" Bad move.
"WHAT!" And that was the last thing I saw before everything went white.
Author's Note
Before you start complaining how The princess aren't moving the sun and moon. They have yet to gain the strength to do that, so it's their parents who take care of it.
Okay you know the drill. like comment, correct me if I messed up.
If you want me to put a character in, have an idea for the story, or titan, let me know.
Other than that, thanks for ready
