Revenge. Something that everyone has felt, or is bound to feel someday. It's something you can't avoid. People in your lives will cheat you, hurt you, hurt people you love. Leave you too, right out of the blue. A foolish boy, Edmond Dashie, doesn't believe in revenge. He says that he's suffered so much, and has never felt it, and never will. Boy was he wrong. When his friend, Fernand Monsparkle, wants his fiancé, Shycedes, he wants him sent to prison. He teams up with Rarifort, who wants to protect himself, and Danglerjacks, who wants revenge on him for getting him fired. When they do so, Fernand becomes a Count, marrying Shycedes, Danglerjacks becomes captain, and Rarifort keeps himself protected. But they're foolish thinking that he's truly out of their way. He's coming back, and yes, now he REALLY believes in revenge, and wants it more than anything.
