I still had time to shower. After I made myself less disgusting, I got dressed and stumbled to the kitchen. I didn't wear anything flashy, just a grey long sleeved shirt and jeans with brown boots. The cereal was tasteless, but it was all I could afford. Feeling somewhat full, I grabbed the leather coat on the dresser and opened the door. The sky looked dark and bleak as I made my way to the bus stop. another day another penny I thought while looking to the atmosphere. "Some day, huh?" I turned to the direction of the voice next to me. The man I saw was... interesting, to say the least. He wore a beige tuxedo and a checkered fedora, while carrying a silver cane. "... Yeah, I guess so." I said warily. " so what brings you to such a boring stop like this? Shouldn't you be living life, getting wasted and all that?" The man inquired. I chuckled, " I wish, but I gotta job to keep." The man looked surprised. " Wow! I expected more from you, Al. wait, what? "How do you-" "Well, I better let you get back to your disappointment of a life... Unless, of course, you'd want to do something more... Adventurous." I eyed him skeptically. "Heh. I like the sound of that. Maybe we could have a drink and talk things through." "Ha! I'm gonna hold you to that." The bus came into view. "Well, I better go! Think about my offer. I'll probably see you again. Buh bye Al!" The man exclaimed before practically skipping away. that guy is definitely on drugs. Maybe he'll share. I thought darkly as I stepped onto the bus, starting my day. 6 hours later... That, was the worst day of my life. It started out well enough after that run in with the strange man, but I don't really want to talk about it. If you don't like it, read another story, dick. I slammed the front door and fell on the couch. As I contemplated today, I heard a knock at the door. "Guess who?!" The man said. "...The hell do you want?" He looked offended. "I just wanted to be a friend and take that drink you offered. I take it you had the best of days?" He asked with a smirk. I glared at him saying, "Even if I wanted to be more adventurous, what could you do for me? What's in it for you?" He simply smiled at me. " I only want to have a little fun! I saw that certain spark in your eyes, one that just begs for more. I want to help you, Alto. I can take you someplace where you just long for. Now! How about that drink?" With reluctance, I let him in. I walked to the kitchen and pulled out a bottle of scotch and two glasses. I poured the scotch saying, "We're having drinks, and I don't even know your name." The man smiled at me again. "Call me Discord." huh. How fitting. "So, what's this place I keep hearing about?" Suddenly, I felt nauseous. I fell on the floor, losing consciousness. I could hear his voice chuckling, "Oh, you'll see." He said before I could see black.
