It was dark in the hut, but you could still hear the piercing sound of timberwolves in the Everfree Forest. Inside the hut was a zebra, a amber alicorn, and a little newborn alicorn with light blue fur and a rainbow mane. The alicorn was muttering to her child who was in her wing, "Everything will be okay little one, you are strong hearted, but I must find a safer place for you, my little Crystal Prism don't cry all will be alright."
A spark of lighting frightened them both, as well as making Crystal cry in fear. Soon it started raining out in the Everfree Forest and the alicorn ran to the window peaking for danger.
"That's a relief, you can stop crying little one," the alicorn sighed "Thank you Zecora for letting us stay here!"
"You must leave, danger follows you and your newborn, you are the last of your kingdom now, your friends have fallen running from darkness," Zecora reminded her. The alicorn looked at her child who she loves and sighed.
"Are you sure, we are more of a target out there," the alicorn asked nervously. Zecora looked at the alicorn and back at the door.
"You came here to hide from shadows and you are in a forest they can hide in, I know someone who can help you in Ponyville, her name is Twilight Sparkle," Zecora told the alicorn," She can help you only if you go now!"
"But what if I don't make it..." the alicorn said before she was interrupted.
"Here is a scroll to send your child to a close friend far away," Zecora said," But beware Dawning Prism, some things are not as they appear!"
Dawning rushed out with her child in her wings, running through the thick trees of the Everfree forest looking back whenever she hears a sound and then starts running again after a short breath. One time she stopped she accidentally dropped her child and rushed off without her. She never realized that until she got to Ponyville. She started to freak out and went to the entrance to the Everfree and hoped for the best, that little Crystal was safe and well, she hoped she will just be staying in the light where shadows won't attack her.
"Oh no Crystal Prism, I must of dropped her on accident, I hope she can forgive me for that, I am such a scatterbrained mother to my Crystal," Dawning said panicked. She flew back into the Everfree not stopping when exhausted. She was too worried for her daughter and hoped she was alright and muttering to herself about she has to be fine. The sight she saw when she got there made her cry.
Crystal's horn was cut clean of and she was bleeding from a deep wound in her ear none stop. Her wings were bet backwards breaking the bones in her wings permanently, the wings were bleeding from the bones that cut through the skin like a twig sticking out of a bird's head. She was surprisingly still alive but her pulse was weak and faint. Crystal managed a cry and scream for her mother who was crying making the pool of crimson blood grow around Crystal to around Dawning.
Dawning screamed in grief for her little one who now is weaker than before and she loved her, but she knew no where was safe for them to be together, but she didn't want to leave Crystal there to die and so she didn't know what to do, never before has she ever felt so helpless and weak to save someone, she didn't know what to do. She just continued to cry for her child lying there without any defenses, Dawning was to weak to do a defense spell to help her, her strength was only enough to use a scroll to cast a spell instead.
After Dawning stopped crying she heard rustling in the bushes so loud that even the toughest Mandacore would run away and she casted a protection spell around her and her child. Soon a pony in black smoke with glowing crimson red eyes , piercing sharp wings able to cut steel, horn that was crooked ready to cast a dark spell to kill Dawning and her child.
"Thought you could run from us forever, just to save you precious child," the pony scoffed. Crystal started to cry again.
"It's alright Crystal, we are safe for now," Dawning comforted Crystal who still wouldn't stop crying," Lunar I know you are in there, fight the evil spirit possessing you, you can do it Lunar, for you twin sister Crystal here please!"
"Your spells no match my dark curses," the shadow echoed, " For I am the queen of the shadows, Eclipsed Sky, your daughter Lunar only has a portion of her head that she controls, sadly she is extremely annoying to put up with!"
"I will not let you hurt Crystal," Dawning yelled. Soon the shadow casted the spell and aimed it directly at helpless Crystal, Dawning than flew right in its path and took the blow and fell. She started to bleed from the wound and struggled to stand up to fight some more. She could only do one thing distract the shadow queen. She made a illusion copy of them running away to trick her to think they were headed that way. Eclipse fell for the trick and ran after them.
"I sent thee, Crystal Prism to the kingdom of the Crystal Heart to stay with their queen," Dawning chanted the spell Zecora gave her. Soon Crystal vanished leaving Dawning weakened by the curse. Screaming could be heard all the way to Canterlot from the alicorn's muzzle. At midnight all became silent, not a single sound from the timberwolves that night. The only thing that was heard was the rain falling in the Everfree.

This is a remake of Visions, I realized I can't write child friendly stories well, I am better at dark stories so I hope this is better than the last times. I don't recommend reading it if you cant stand very descriptive injuries or curses. Chapters will be posted after editing them, so please if a chapter doesn't come out for a while don't think I have given up. Chapter 1: The Unexpected Discovery
The Crystal Empire a place filled with joy and cheer you might think but to me it is a living Tartorus, everyday I am bullied by all the other ponies my age, my sister, Flurry Heart ,tells me to ignore them but it is to hard for me to since all they see is a crippled Pegasus who cant fly with her wings. They all still think Cadence is actually my mother but she is not, I am just her assistant who schedules time for her to relax, but when I am not helping her I am reading a good book in my room or the library to get some peace and quiet. Reading has been a joy to me ever since I was young, all the other fillies avoided me so I found ways to be happy, you may think I do not have any friends but I do have friends but they live far away and I only see them when Equestria is in trouble. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I am Crystal Prism royal assistant to Cadence at least until that day the day everything changed.
I was reading in the library that whole day without a care in the world, reading Daring Do, a series Rainbow and Twilight got me hooked on as a fillie, for the well I lost count by then. I loved how vivid the descriptions were int he story and...sorry back on topic now. I was reading and then soon a guard came in panicked, I rolled my eyes thinking how useless the guards can be when they do not really help when Equestria is in trouble, they must not have the stamina.
"What happened this time, let me guess you need something or does Cadence need me?" I asked annoyed, I hated when others disturbed me while I am reading.
"Cadence needs you in the throne room, it is an emergency!" the guard said then rushed off in a hurry.
I knew what I should do, run, which I did since I am unable to fly with these useless wings that I have, and why must castles be labyrinths that seem to change all the time. I took many wrong turns here and there during my run, I was feeling faint and weaker then usual and soon everything went black.
...
"Wake up Crystal, you should not were yourself out like that!" I heard a voice saying. I opened my eyes and saw that I was in the throne room and I got up, my head was pounding harder than a anvil, I groaned and saw Cadence looking worried, "Thank Celestia your awake, are you feeling okay?"
"No, my head is pounding, but I am here now so what did you want to tell me?"
"I think you are old enough to know now, who your mother is, her name was Dawning Prism and she died trying to save you, she left you with me to keep you safe, she was a princess of a missing kingdom, the Kingdom of Elements!"
"Wait, what?"
"It may be hard to believe but I think you will find more in this package she left me to give to you..." Cadence was cut of by a loud explosion outside,"Quickly you and the others are our only hope now, they have returned the umbrium has returned they are after you Crystal, go now!"
Against my will Cadence teleported all my belongings into my satchel bag along with the gift from my late mother and teloported me on the Friendship Express while I cried as I left the only family I knew behind.
