Roughhousing at the BarView OnlineWub-a-Light Love SongRoughhousing at the BarNight time was a lively time in Ponyville these days. After Twilight's fierce time travel battle with Starlight Glimmer, the pink unicorn settled in town and built herself a cottage near Fluttershy's. Starlight was happy to be surrounded by friends, at the same time it was nice to be liked again. For so long now she had been alone and took her anger out on others. No more. Tonight was the first time she'd go into a bar. Being in her mid twenties Starlight wanted to get caught up with her inner child which never fully blossomed. To start she did all the things other ponies would normally do and complied them into one big check list, which Twilight was all too happy top help organize it. She was well into half of her list when she decided to skip a few things and go to a bar first. After all adventure was good for the soul, or so Granny Smith told her once. The pink mare trolled down the narrow streets of Ponyvilles equivalent to a 'red light district' looking for a good place to have a drink. In truth it was really just a street like any other in Ponyville. Sure it wasn't Manehatten with strip bars or anything like that but it was a street filled with lights and exotic dances of all shapes and sizes. Starlight wandered down the street, called Jumping Ave, and looked around at the various bars and themed cafes. She spotted a very ornate Euro-style one with Prench maid ponies attending to customers. She thought how cute it was seeing the young mares and fillies in those elaborately decorated skirts and dresses. She was sure Rarity had some hoof in their design at one point in time. Passing by she found what she had been looking for. It was a small bar that had no particular unique features. It was basically a black box with a light brown wooden frame around it and a few tinted windows and two sets of double doors, one for entry and one clearly marked for exiting. She saw a short line of ponies and a few griffins awaiting entry with two large stallions in black suit tops and dark glasses at the entryway. *How stereotypical.* she thought looking at the guards. She then walked over to the line and stood there among a crowd of twenty or so ponies. Most of them were young mares and a few stallions who were clearly young enough to get their ID's checked. A half an hour later she was finally at the entry way and showed her ID. The guard let her in without any trouble but she was sure he flinched after reading her ID. *Guess word still traveled of my previous exploits.* she sighed putting her ID back in her black coat. Normally she didn't wear anything but today was an exception. She wanted to look good and not just average like any old pony. She wore a simple black coat similar to an old private eye detectives coat and a cute little black cap to match. She herself was a mare of simple tastes, something she retained from her times as a town leader. She loved simple things and had a simple home. Ever since she reformed it had been a struggle to earn the trust of the mane Six. She herself did make it harder by shutting out Fluttershy. In her mind the yellow pegasus betrayed her trust and was the one who had to apologize to her, but the others didn't take it so well. After a brief fight Starlight stormed out of Twilight's Castle and wen't looking for a place to sit down and vent. Which brought her here to this bar. A spur of the moment thing. What a choice it was. The building was completely hollow being one massive room with two separate bars at either end a dance floor in the center and a large stage at the far end between the dance floor and the bars. The walls were black with red tiles and the stage had it's curtains open with a large set of speakers and buffers around a small set of machines they were wired to. There was a lot of ponies dancing on the floor to a loud country style song. Starlight saw that most of the ponies looked like they were in their twenties. It made her feel old. She sat at the bar far to the left taking her coat and placed it on her bar stool before sitting on it. \ The barekeep, a older mare in a stiff vest and tie looked at the pink mare and put a small glass in front of her. "What can I get ya, hon?" Starlight didn't even think about what she wanted, she knew what she needed. "I'll have Prussian Standard. Dry." "Ah, so you're a big shot drinker huh?" the mare asked. Starlight looked at her for the first time and saw a light grey earth pony mare with blue eyes and long silver and grey striped mane. She had a refined look and posture but her accent said otherwise. Starlight smiled at the mare and said, "Sure am. I'm old enough that this isn't my first rodeo." The mare grinned. "Well then, it's nice to have a mare of more refined tastes rather than the smut i have to deal with usually." she said back looking at the rest of the crowd in disgust. "These young ponies are too wild for their own good. Look." she said with a nod to the corner. Starlight looked over and indeed saw the source of the mare strife. Two ponies, a mare and stallion, were busy making a foal in teh corner of the establishment along with a few other ponies. It was like a massive gathering of smut all condensed in a small bar area. Starlight looked way in disgust herself but found herself slightly aroused by the sight. Some of those stallions looked very fit, even some of the mares caught her eye. But she herself was not into getting dirty in a bar. She had more social tact than that. She didn't feel sorry for these ponies who were o doubt on their way to an unhappy life for a few moments of physical pleasure. It made her sick to think that society had spiraled so far down, she was thankful she wasn't like that. She then heard the clanking of her shot glass and turned back to face the silver mare. Taking the glass in her hoof she raised it to her and in one gulp downed the shot hitting the glass hard enough to make it clink, on the bar top. "Oh, I needed that." she said shivering at the roughness of the liquid burning her throat. "Of course dear. Can I get you a hot meal to go with your drinks?" the silver mare asked. "Well now, what if I didn't want any food?" Starlight suggested with a wiggle of her brow. "Perhaps we can go, grazing in the fields?" The mare giggled placing her elbows on the bar top and rested her head on them with a sultry look. "Sweetie, I may be young but I'm not that young. I'm old enough to be your mother I'm sure. Besides," the mare turned and bent over revealing herself to Starlight who took the sight in of her exposed marehood in all its glory. "Jeez you can't possibly be that old. You're too good looking for to be." The pink mare asked, quickly looked away after a moment earning a smile from the mare. Getting up the mare readjusted her vest and adjusted her tie then set a bottle down on the counter top. "That's very sweet of you to say, miss?" "Glimmer. Starlight Glimmer." The silver mare nodded. "Well then, Miss Glimmer. I'm Platinum and I'll be you r server for this evening." she then looked over to see a stallion waving her down the bar some way. "Please let me know if there's anything I can get you." "Actually all joking aside I'd like two hay burgers and a side of hay fries please. Oh, and two more shots please." Starlight requested to the mare. "Of course." Platinum took a note and wrote the order down. "I'll get this in and your order will be out soon. I'll be back Miss Glimmer." And with that the mare was off and Starlight was left with her empty glass. A light chuckled from her left caught her attention. She turned to see a ivory white unicorn mare with the brightest neo blue mane she'd ever seen adjusting a set of deep magenta glasses sipping a cider of some sort sitting next to her. The mare took a large gulp of her cider and set the mug down on the counter top looking at her. "Nice work there." she said. "Not everypony gets their name used by Platinum. That means she likes you." Starlight blushed turning her glass in her hooves. Just then Platinum came back with a second glass taking the old one from her and placed a second one next to it. She even gave Starlight a wink, making her blush intensify much to the white mares amusement. "See? She likes you." she said chugging her mug until it was empty. "Oh and what makes you an expert?" Starlight said bemusedly. "She and I are old friends. Well she's old I'm not. She's like suuupper old-"Thwack! Starlight jumped in her seat when Platinum, as quick as lightning, came from one end of the bar to her side and smacked the mare aside the head. The force knocked her shades off sides from her eyes showing the deep red eyes beneath. "Quit lying you hooligan!" Platinum huffed indignantly. "But it's true you are ol-ahhahah! I mean you're a lovely mare and you should not feel ashamed by your age!" the white pony quickly changed her tune covering her head. "I Sorry!" she cried trying to sound cute which made the older mare groan. "You're lucky Octavia is your manager and a close friend of mine or I'd have thrown you out by now." She turned to Starlight and bowed politely. "I'm sorry for my friend Vinyl Scratch. She forgets social tact sometimes along with her mouths filter." "It's fine."Starlight said and the grey mare returned to serving drinks. The pony named Vinyl finally uncovered herself feeling a sense of relief having not been struck again. She then stuck her tongue out at the mare in a childish manner and quickly retracted it when she turned to face her as if expecting it. With a huff the grey mare returned to serving drinks but not before she mutter, 'hooligan' under her breath. Starlight chuckled at the scene as it unfolded before her. She then drank one of her shots and Vinyl sipped her cider. Starlight liked this mare. She was funny. Maybe it was the drinks talking but she liked how Vinyl held herself, her childish personality reminded her of her long lost friend Sunburst. He was a complete goof but she liked him none the less. Vinyl was so much like him it was like looking into a mirror. Her thought's were cut short when the unicorn glanced at her and got this silly grin before winking at her. Starlight blushed again and turned away, scolding herself for staring at her, but the white mare scooted closer and leaned onto Starlight's should resting her chin on it. Her breath was warm and breathe down her neck making the pink pony shiver. "You liked that huh?" Vinyl said taking her hooves and rubbed Starlight's thighs. The mare sighed feeling warm inside. She never felt such a desire for another mares touch but this pony, Vinyl, she had a magic touch, and all Starlight could do was nod dumbly at the mares words. "Heh, I knew you'd like it." She said whispering into her victims ear. "Why don't you finish eating and we can go tom my place and perhaps, go grazing in the fields?" Starlight's eyes went wide at the implication. She tried to say something but was stopped by Platinum's voice yelling across the bar as a empty mug collided with Vinyls face. "VINYL BRASS MELODY SCRATCH! You stop molesting my customers this instant!" "Oh would you look at the time! Well gotta run and do my thing!" the mare said replacing her shades. "Think about my offer, kay? Later doll!" And then just as quickly as she came she was gone in a flash leaving Starlight panting and feeling slightly embarrassed from her bodies response to Vinyls touch. She felt many things at the moment. Hot, sweaty, entranced, violated. Many things ran through her head at this moment and she couldn't make any sense of it. Why was she feeling this way? Perhaps she was under some spell cast by the mare? Perhaps it was the drinks? Was she under the influence? She was sure she wasn't, but at the same time she felt like she needed to see her again. A burning desire to see those red eyes again and that silly stupid grin. Even though Platinum was standing there apologizing to her, Starlight didn't hear a word she said. Instead she thought only about the white mare she just met, but the aroma off her food drew her in and like a zombie clinging to any source of nourishment she turned to eat and after a brief look at her hay fries she thought about Vinyl's offer, 'Perhaps we can go, grazing in the fields?' Once more she blush shoving the fries away and devoured her hayburger in three loud chomps, followed quickly by her final drink. She slapped the glass on the table and stood up getting Platinum's attention. "My bill please!" After paying her bill Starlight thanked the grey mare for her time and was out the door in ten seconds. She stormed past several ponies and marched briskly to the edge of town where the lake was. She went over the bridge that had a small river flowing under it that lead straight to the lake and followed the river up stream. Once she climbed over a large grass hill she found Ponyville Lake. It was a large lake with hills around every side of it. A small pagoda at one edge of the lake with lily pads and white bottle shaped flowers around it with a series of stones all around it. The moon shined over the lake reflecting its beauty over the calm crystal clear surface. There was no wind so the water lay still like glass. It was so serene that Starlight was sure it was a dream. That is until she saw a white spot in the water floating next to a group of rocks. She climbed down the hill and upon closer inspection of the white blob she saw it was actually a pony laying in there with her back in the water , floating around the flowers. It wasn't until she was close enough to touch the pony she realized it was Vinyl Scratch. The mare was lazily floating in the water in place with her shades on her dry chest and looked like she was sleeping. Starlight touched the water but shivered at the cold sensation that greeted her and quickly pulled it back out. The disturbance echoed in the water and rang in the white mares ears awaking her. She sighed leaning upright as the water dripped off her coat disrupting the serene peace of the lake that spanned outwards. She turned to find Starlight staring at her as the water dripped off her she gave the mare a suggestive look covering herself. "Hey doll. Like what you see?" Once again Starlight shook her head before passing out on the floor with a dull thud. Before she blacked out she saw Vinyl's white figure hurry towards her and felt warmth envelop her followed by the sensation of floating. Then darkness over came her as she slipped into unconsciousness.
Walk and Talk on the Road HomeView OnlineWub-a-Light Love SongWalk and Talk on the Road HomeTapping. Tap! Tap! Tap! Starlight could feel a tapping on her horn. It really annoyed her to no end. Tap! Tap! Tap! Ugh make its stop! Taptatatatatatap! "ARGH! What do you want with my life horn!?" she screamed sitting upright and fell off something and onto the ground. "I ah, what? Where am I?" She rubbed her eyes taking a look around to see where she was. She was surprised to find herself still in the park by he lake. She looked around and saw nopony. She then thought how she'd ended up here? That was when she noticed the bench and a white mare sitting on it with a worried look. "Miss Scratch?" "Hey." the white unicorn replied somberly. "Sorry about my behavior earlier. How's the head?" "Ugh, my head is fine for now." "Whew! Good! I was worried for a while there!" the mare grinned picking Starlight up and setting her down on the bench, resting the pink mares head on her lap. "So, did ya like the show?" "Oh shush. You barely showed anything." Starlight complained. She then wondered why she did. Was she really looking forward to the white mare showing herself off to her? Was She slowly turning into some sexual deviant?! No surely that was not the case.... Nope. Defiantly not a sexual deviant. This mare on the other hoof. "You have a lovely mane miss... actually I never did get your name?" she said looking into Starlight's eyes. Her crimson eyes were entrancing as if they were a portal to an absolute void of passion covered by her smug grin. Starlight gulped looking into the eyes. She just couldn't pry her gaze. "Glimmer. Starlight Glimmer." she said mindlessly as she gazed deep into the eyes. "Nice name." "Thanks. You have a nice name as well, Miss Scratch." The white mare chuckled lightly. "Call me Vinyl or V." "OK, Vinyl." Starlight said with a smile. *Achoo!* "Oh, somepony is cold." Vinyl said standing up and bringing Starlight with her. "Come on. Let's go to my place. You can meet Octy. You'll love her!" Starlight looked at the mare like she was crazy. "I'm sorry who?" "Oh her real names Octavia Philharmonica. She's a great friend!" Starlight thought back to the mare at the bar, Platinum, she recalled the mare offhandedly mentioned this mare Octavia. The pink unicorn shrugged walking along the road with the white mare. The two walked along the waterfront under the bright moonlit night. It would have been a lovely stroll, even romantic, had Starlight not been shivering cold. She looked over to Vinyl and her wet fur, and realized she was n't shivering at all. She pressed her body against the white mare feeling an unusual warmth. She normally wouldn't have initiated such contact with another, especially a mare she just met. The cold however was driving her body to seek warmth and the only source was the mare beside her. Vinyl blushed slightly from the contact and looked at the pink mare feeling her shiver from the cold. Her horn lit in a light blue aura and made it surround the pink pony like a light barrier. Starlight felt warm from the magical glow and looked up at the mare who was grinning smugly. 'Body warmth spell of my own design. Helps keep the body warm." she said, gently pushing her body into Starlight. The other unicorn felt her heat rise in her cheeks and lower body and it wasn't from the spell. She looked away from Vinyls eyes and down the road feeling warmer with each passing second. Once her body reached a certain point the spell seemed to stop keeping her in what felt like a warm summer day. "It's nice. Thanks." Starlight thanked the mare. "Don't worry. I should have done it sooner. Sorry." she replied blushing. "I really just do it to myself never really spend time with anypony." "Why not?" "Well, with my work and Octavia it leaves little time to seek friends and spend time with them." "Oh, sorry to hear that." Starlight felt bad for her. She knew what it was like to lose friends and it sucked. She thought about her friends over the years and thought of how foolish she'd been in her pursuit of equality. She messed up with her friends in her town she ran, she messed up letting Sunburst go. She wish she could do it all over again, but knew she couldn't. Instead she'd have to make up with what she had. Right now she had a potential friend in Vinyl and she wouldn't mess this one up. "I understand how you feel, Vinyl." The mare cocked her head as they continued down the road exiting the park to the empty streets of Ponyville. "What do you mean?" 'I had friends once. Then I made a mistake and lied to them." she sighed looking at the moon. A feeling of envy and sorrow too hold of her heart threatening to tear her apart. "It was such a small thing to me, but I was foolish and didn't realize how big of a lie it was until, until somepony showed me. But I was too arrogant to see. Now I may have lost those friends forever." Vinyl didn't respond and Starlight took it as a sign to continue her story. "I was once in charge of a small town I helped create. As the, leader, I was in charge of... can I ask you something?" "Sure doll what is it?" Vinyl said in a loud cheery voice. "If I tell you this will you promise not to judge me?" she asked the white mare pleadingly. Vinyl grinned and leaned forward to kiss Starlight's forehead. Her soft lips connected at the base of her horn sending a jolt down the mares spine. After the kiss she looked dead straight into Starlight's eyes rubbing her cheek and said, "Starlight, I would never judge you on the past unless you did it again. I'll let you make your own impression." "Thanks." "Sure. Now what's wrong?" Vinyl asked reassuringly to her. "What you did can't be that bad." The pink unicorn sighed looking down and away from the mare beside her. "You won't say that after I tell you what happened." "What did you do then?" Vinyl asked not out of impatience but genuine curiosity. "I use to brainwash ponies into believing what I believed to be equality-" Starlight admitted but was cut short by Vinyl. "See? That's not sooo, bad-" "I also stole cutie marks believing they were the source of inequality and misery among friends." Starlight finished in a dark tone. For a brief moment, Vinyl was sure Starlight had become a different pony. Her voice was dripping with pure hate and bile at the mention of her deed and especially cutie marks. She felt a chilled run down her spine from the pink mares words and watched ash she looked down with, regret? Shame? The mare did a complete 180 on her in a moment. She looked utterly devastated at what she said and vinyl could tell it was eating away at her. So Vinyl did the thing she was best at. "So does that mean you can use other ponies talents?" Starlight glared a the mare who had the silliest grin on her face. It was the face of a child that eagerly awaited a new trick or a piece of candy. Starlight found it impossible to not crack a smile at her and chuckle. "You are so bad!" she laughed swatting the mare playfully over the head making the white pony laugh. "But seriously, to answer your question, no I can't use other ponies talents." "Aww, why not?" The pink unicorn scoffed brushing her mane to the side. They were now walking down an empty street heading towards Vinyl's home. She then followed the mare down a narrow alley and stuck close by her as she answered, "Cuite marks don't work like that. If I tried to use another ponies cutie mark it would have to be compatible with mine." "Compatible?" "Mmhmm. To put it simply my talent is magic of the mystic arts. So if I were to take a ponies cutie mark and use it, properly, it would have to be in a magical category of talents." she explained picking up a stone with her aura. The small stone floated up in her magical glow and was contorted into various shapes. "I couldn't use a cutie mark for smiting, being a doctor, or even a botanist. And that's because it isn't compatible with my talent. Sorry. Cutie marks are, difficult to explain but that's the best way I can explain it." "Hey don't apologies. I get the idea." Vinyl replied rubbing her nose against Starlight's cheek. She quickly pulled away, much to Starlight's dismay, and ran to a strange house on the side of a open road with very few houses around it. "Hey we're here!" It was a strange little home Starlight observed. It was split down the center into a brown half and a pink half. Every window had a musical note of some sort and piano keys for the holds where plants grew under the windows. The brown half on the left had either a chimney or pipes from what looked like a pipe organ, but Starlight wasn't sure which. Even the roofs two halves were slightly different from one another. It was tacky at best in her mind but she learned recently that everypony has different tastes. She watched as Vinyl hopped at the doors impatiently waiting for her. "Come on! Octy's home and I want you to meet her!" Starlight shook her head at the mare still holding onto her smile as she walked closer as the sound of elegant music reached her ear. Soft, precise, it was such a beautiful tune played off a stringed instrument, that much she could tell. She followed Vinyl into the house where she say a house split down center with a grey earth pony mare off to the brown side of the house playing a cello as large as she was. Her black mane and tails swayed as she did bending her elbow to strike with her bow. Vinyl went over to talk to the pony who stopped playing and spoke softly to her with a Manehattenite accent. Starlight found herself entranced by a second mare in the same night. Who would have thought two such lovely mares lived under the same roof? Starlight thought as she watched the two mares talk. She observed the grey mare and her perfectly curved body finding herself inspecting every angel she could past Vinyl. She was beautiful. She was graceful. She was- "Vinyl! I told you not to bring hooker ponies into the house! I mean really! I thought I told you, ugh, of all the irresponsible things I swear by my mothers grave Vinyl I'll get an ulcer from your antics!" the mare named Octavia screamed pointing at Starlight. "Honestly you never learn do you? You can play with her at the club, but not in our home." *Humph!* ... She was a bucking bitch! Oh, well. Live and learn as the saying goes. I'm still alive and this fic aint dead. I just can't prioritize well! Hope you all enjoy the update. Things will get really cool next time. A Meeting Gone Wrong The awkwardness of the situation Starlight found herself in was thick. Here she was in someone's home being accused of being a hooker. She wouldn't let this insult go by a long shot, but fate seemed to have other plans. Vinyl stepped forward to her roommate and bonked Octavia atop her head. The shocked expression on the grey mare's face was priceless to Starlight. The grey pony bit her tongue as the white hoof stuck down on her making her bite it. "What was that for Vinyl?!" Octavia cried in surprise rubbing her head. "That wasn't nice, Octy. She's not that kind of pony," the Vinyl said with some bite in her tone. "You always taught me not to judge ponies based on their social status now you should apply that to yourself as well." Octavia seemed to see the logic behind her friend's words. She took them to heart and approached Starlight with what dignity she could muster. She gave a polite bow keeping a rigid posture. "I'm sorry I called you such awful things miss." Octavia said in her bow, bringing herself up to look her in the eyes. "I hope you can find it in yourself to forgive me for beings so rude." Starlight sighed rubbing her shoulder. "It's fine. I've been called worse believe it or not. I don't think I got your name? Mine's Starlight. Starlight Glimmer." "Octavia M. Philharmonica, or just Octavia if you don't mind," She said offering her hoof. Starlight took the hoof shake with a smile. In return Octavia smiled back feeling at ease with the mare. "I'm sorry I called you a hooker pony. It was quite rude and unbecoming of a lady such as myself and beg your forgiveness." Octavia said modestly. "Oh, well it's nice to meet such a, refined mare." Starlight said dryly looking over at Vinyl. The mare in question was chugging a can of beer stopping to see the two mares looking right at her with deadpan expressions. It took her three seconds to realize they were looking at her and referring to her as the unrefined one. "Hey! I can be plenty refined too!" she snorted. Starlight and Octavia rolled their eyes at the same time. "Of course Vinyl." Starlight said sarcastically. "Whatever you say Vinyl. We totally believe you." Octavia added dryly. "Hey! Is this pick on Vinyl Day or something?" Vinyl whined, indignantly. Octavia laughed loudly sitting herself on a nearby chair. "Oh, Vinyl that's everyday of the waking year." Vinyl groaned crossing her arms with a pout as Starlight joined Octavia in a heartfelt laughter. Once the two mares calmed down they had the DJ pony join them at the dining table at the end of the house. It was centered where the two halves met and split the table between Vinyl and Octavia's preferred colors of blue and grey. Starlight glanced around which didn't go unnoticed by the two other mares at the table. "What's wrong dear?" Octavia asked trying to be more civil since her outburst. Starlight looked around to see the decor of both sides of the house which gave a distinct impression on her. She guessed that based off the order and structure of how everything was arranged on Octavia's half of the house. Starlight found it strange that the two ponies who seemed so different could live in harmony so well. It reminded her of the very reasons she founded Our Town. A place where nopony was better than anypony. A place where all could do their equal share and not have to live under an oppressive ruler. *Heh, funny how that turned out.* Starlight thought sadly. She turned to face Octavia who was staring at her with a concerned look. Even vinyl was watching her. "I have had a lot of trouble adjusting to life in Ponyville since my... days as town leader." Starlight said looking away fro the two mares. Vinyl nearly hopped out of her seat grinning at the pink unicorn. "You were a mayor of a town?" "Once long ago," Starlight replied in a somber tone. Vinyl looked like she was ready to ask more questions, but Octavia held up a hoof to her friend silencing her before a word got out. Vinyl sat back down on her chair and lowered her head. Octavia decided some refreshments were needed to help lighten the mood. "Well, I am parched!" Octavia said standing up from her seat. "Miss Glimmer, would you like some tea, or a water at the very least?" she offered politely. Starlight nodded with a smile. "Tea sounds nice. Thanks." "Oh think nothing of it dear," The earth pony said, walking away to the kitchen. Vinyl and Starlight stayed behind in silence until the mare came back with the drinks. After quickly distributing the drinks Octavia joined Starlight on her side of the table as she sipped her own tea. "So, dear, what do you do these days?" Octavia asked Starlight, sipping her tea. Starlight sipped her drink slowly. She waited for the tea to settle before she continued on, giving herself time to prepare. "I am actually Twilight's personal student these days." she said spinning the cup in her hooves. Both Vinyl and Octavia looked shocked at this news. One was in awe the other in disbelief. Octavia had to act quickly not to drop her cup of tea while Vinyl simply allowed hers to fall without any grace at all. “Y-you are the personal student?! Twilight Sparkle!?””Octavia managed to stutter out. Starlight blushed lowering her head in embarrassment. “Yeah….” Octavia shook as she lowered her cup of tea on the saucer plate. Her unsteady hooves made the cup clatter several times with the tiny plate before she dropped it, silencing the clanking noise. She had not only been rude to the student of twilight Sparkle, a hero and a princess now at that, but she also had the gall to accuse the mare of horrible doings. On top of all that she had openly accused Starlight being from an unsavory profession without knowing her first. *What a way to make a first impression!* Octavia felt sick to her stomach. What if Starlight told Twilight about this? Would she get in trouble? She didn’t want to think about the implications this could have on her reputation among the social elite. She couldn’t believe this. All for a misunderstanding. “Miss Octavia?” Octavia looked up to see both Vinyl and Starlight looking at her. She didn’t realize she had zoned out and was staring. “Um, what’s wrong? Is the tea not warm?” Octavia asked. “No that tea’s fine, you were just staring,” Vinyl said with an affirming nod from Starlight. “Sorry, I was just contemplating on how poorly I treated you earlier. I’m terribly sorry,” Octavia said trying not to sound desperate. To her surprise the pink unicorn smiled and waved it off. “Don’t worry about it. If I learned anything from the last few months is that it’s better to forgive and move on then hold onto a grudge. Trust me on that,” Starlight concluded sipping her tea with her hooves. Hearing this Octavia felt a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She was in the clear now and had no worries. She thought about what she said and truly felt sorry for making such an assumption. She felt like she owed Starlight for such a thing but was happy all the same to get off the hook so easily. “Besides<” Starlight’s voice interrupted her thoughts. “I don’t think Vinyl would like it if I got her friend and roommate in trouble. It’s a bad way to start a friendship.” Vinyl laughed loudly taking her shades and placed they just over her horn. “Heck yeah it would! That'd suck hard!” Vinyl said. Oh please, what do you know about sucking?” Octavia said feeling annoyed. “A lot actually. I suck lots a ‘junk’,” Vinyl said wiggling her eyebrows seductively. Octavia groaned rolling her eyes while Starlight seemed amused by this. Octavia always envied Vinyl. Ponies came to her raves all the time, and it was arguable that she was more popular than Octavia herself. Yet, she always complained when there were no gigs, no jobs, and always sought more work out. While Octavia remained envious of her, she did like that the mare was fiercely determined in her music, which spoke for itself. Unfortunately Vinyl also had a very dirty mind. Poor Octavia always feel for these word traps as she called them when Vinyl was around. How she never saw it coming annoyed her to no end, almost as much as Vinyl when she would mention something called, “The Game” every half an hour. Yet she still cared for the white unicorn. She was a childhood friend, even if Octavia was five years older. She would never trade Vinyl for all the fame and fortune in the world. Tea? Maybe. “Vinyl you are the worst…” Octavia hissed gulping her tea. As she did she felt the hot tea go down the wrong tube and let out a most unlady like snort as she choked on teh tea. Vinyl heard the sound Octavia made and chuckled, while patting the grey pony on the back. “You okay, Octy?” Vinyl asked while Starlight looked a little worried. “After clearing the throat Octavia waved Vinyl off. “I’m fine. I’m fine… I just had the tea in the wrong tube,” Octavia said. Vinyl grinned but Octavia booped her nose with her hoof silencing anything that would have come from the mare's mouth. “I swear Vinyl, if you say one more sexralated enuendo I will ‘really’ give you something to write home about,” Octavia said, her voice was dark and full of venom with every words and sent shivers down Vinyl’s spine. “Uh, sure thing, Octy! Hey Starlight! You like music?” Vinyl asked. “I love music,” Starlight chirped. “I love modern and classical. Though I find your line of music… interesting.” “Great! Hey Octy, we should do the thing!” Vinyl said hopping in her seat like a filly. “Oh, umm. Well not tonight Vinyl I just lost a contract to that Neolight fellow. I’m not in the mood,” She replied walking towards the kitchen. “Perhaps tomorrow?” “Sure, hey Starlight. You wanna let us do a private showing for ya?” Vinyl asked hopefully. Starlight smiled nodding. “I’d love that. Maybe you two can come to the castle and I’ll see if Twilight wants to attend too. That, ok?” “Oh, well heck yeah! That’d be cool of you!” Vinyl said hugging Starlight and nuzzling her. *Ahem.* Vinyl and Starlight both blushed when they realized Octavia was glaring at them. The grey earth pony was tapping her hoof on the floor looking more at Vinyl than Starlight. “Vinyl please remember that if you do any, explicit things tonight,” Octavia pointed to a flight of stairs that descended down. “Please use the ‘spare’ room.” Octavia then bid Starlight a good night and turned herself in for the night. Vinyl had recovered rather quickly but Starlight still felt embarrassed that Octavia thought she would want to do such a thing. True she wouldn’t mind, if it was Vinyl. She was pretty enough. Starlight looked over at the mare who was reaching under the counter to get some dish soap to wash them and saw the roundness of her butt. Her wide hips and her muscular toned legs. She realized that even Octavia had strong looking back legs. She wondered if it had to do with how they stood while they performed? Starlight walked over to a table and tried to stand on her two hind legs while Vinyl washed the dishes. The first thing she noticed was that vinyl wasn’t standing freely. She was using her stomach as a cushion to hold herself up with the counter. She also had her legs spread wider and seemed to use her tail for balance. Starlight tried to imitate the motions leaning up against the table and then spread her legs to help balance herself. Suddenly her legs felt more comfortable and she felt like she could actually stand on her legs for much longer than she thought. She looked between her legs to see how her tail moved as she leaned one way and how it helped her keep her balance. It was so easy, and now she understood why Lyra did it so well. She was so fixated on what she was doing that she didn’t realize Vinyl was standing behind her and was watching, having finished the dishes. ‘Hey, if you wanna lick it it doesn’t work like that. Trust me I tried,” Vinyl said behind Starrlight. Starlight nearly toppled over but was caught by Vinyls strong arms. She was now hanging in the mares arms feeling the heat rush to her cheeks. Starlight’s muzzle was only inches from Vinyls. It was as close as she ever got to another pony since she nuzzled Sunburst. Once more Starlight felt a rush and she slowly got woozy. Vinyl called out to her as the mare blacked out again. Starlight’s last thoughts feel back on the mare and made her wonder why? Why did she faint at her touch? At the very sight of her coming close? Why when she was wet? Starlight thought until darkness came over her thoughts as well.
