"Alright, bye everyone!" You shouted over your shoulder as you and your friends departed from a day at school. College was hard, it was new at least, but if you had your friends there by your side then it was okay. Your galaxy back pack was mounted upon you, being held up by its one strap, and carrying all of the homework you had to do. Math, Social Studies, even Japanese, which was only a nine-weeks subject, but it wasn't one of your greatest subjects. You were just barely passing; it was all you could do, really and having an average grade of a C plus wasn't so bad, in your opinion. At least you didn't have a D or an F.
On your walk back to your dorm, you thought about your friends' conversation: the new craze called, "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". What was so great about that show, anyway? I mean, all it was about was fluffy, multicolored ponies who try to figure out friendship. It was just a girl's show and nothing more. Your friends didn't think so, however, for they were obsessed with it. All they talked about was ponies, ponies, ponies and that was it.
Once walking into the building and walking 3 flights of stairs up to your dorm, you opened the door and saw something. It was insane: pony posters everywhere and it was that kids show again! Then you saw your roommate in a gray coated with yellow maned pony hoodie. Oh great, now he was one of these, "Bronies". Like you needed any more in your life. I mean, sure, he was your friend but how much of this could you even take? It was getting old and fast, but you realized this was just a faze and he would be over it in a few weeks, so you pushed your cursed filled thoughts aside and sat down at your desk, getting out your homework. You decided to work on Japanese first, since it was going to be hard enough if you did the Math and Social Studies.
"Hey, dude, what's up? How'd class go?" Your friend asked you, leaning against the old yet sturdy bunk bed that sat in the corner of your room.
"Great." You replied simply, writing down the few Japanese syllables you knew next to question one.
"Oh ho, why so silent today, Mr. Silento Pants?" He laughed at his own stupid joke, like every other day. In fact, like every day of his life.
"Dude, I'm trying to do my homework so could you shut up, please?" You turned to him, having a look of anger in your eyes and quickly turned your head back to your work, your brown-red hair slightly covering the left side of your face.
He laughed just briefly, flicking the back of your head with his fore-finger and you had enough. You slammed your pencil down, standing up and then spun around, standing right in front of him. "Dude, I told you to shut up and leave me alone! I am so ticked off right now, okay?! If I fail Japanese, I'll have to take it again and that's going to suck!" You lied, the real reason you were ticked off being him obsessing over a stupid kids show.
"Hey I was just trying to cheer you up, Mr. Grumpy McGrumpity. Come on and smile, why don't you?" He crossed his arms, showing he meant business, though he really didn't and you knew that.
"Wait, where'd you get that smile thing from?" You asked, suddenly recognizing it from a song your friend had sung on the way back to the dorm.
"Well, duh, 'My Little Pony: Friendship is-" He said, but then got pushed back into the wall, making one of his posters fall to the floor. Your fists were clenched and you didn't want anymore of this nonsensical stuff.
"Okay, stop, just stop! I am sick and tired of hearing or talking about that stupid, ignorameous kids show!" You screamed in his face, but then a rainbow colored portal appeared on the opposite side of the room, making the ground shake and all of his posters fall and the lamp crack, but not shatter to pieces. The drawer shook and so did the desk and the pencil you set down fell onto the floor, rolling under the bunk bed, but you didn't really care at the moment. After all, this bright colored vortex was in the middle of the room, sucking both you and your friend inside.
"Holy shittoki mushrooms, what the heck is that thing?!" Your friend screamed as he grabbed onto the sill of the window.
"I don't know, dude, but we're going in!" You shouted over the noise, your grip slipping and you and your friend got pulled into the portal, blacking out...
