But just like with the power of harmony, love too has an equally powerful counter. With Harmony comes Chaos, and with Love comes Death. And just like with chaos, death too has a spirit.

The Spirit of Death isn't literal. It does not kill those who love. Instead, it tries to destroy everything that they love, by tearing the relationship apart. This is why the entity is called Death. By the time Death is finished, the victims wish they were dead, as they've become a shell of what they once were, incapable of feeling. Incapable of loving.
