On yet another space station... awesome! Truly the most... exciting place to be. That's uh... that's sarcasm, if whoever's listening couldn't tell.

Easy morning, rough night. This is the first actual 'duty' I've had since... I'm not really sure, but a couple months. Galaxy is silent now, and I'm not sure we'll have many other operations. I'm lucky I got to be in this one. Though I'm not sure how exciting it will be. From what I'm told, I'm just going to be waiting up onboard this ship for a very long time. My branch in the military might as well just be 'Stargazing Infantry' at this point, seriously. I can't express how many times I've fallen asleep just by counting stars out a really thick window. I'm not good at keeping track of the stars positions though, I'll tell you that. End up recounting some occasionally.

Anyways...

Supposedly, this 'test' has sort of run dry for the guys running this joint.

Is it a joint if it's in space? I'll have to look into that... I'm not good at audio-recordings, forgive me. Not like anyone will actually ever listen to these, but maybe I'll find them again in like... ten years, just to see what's changed. I don't think I'm going very far right now, but I've got my chin up. Got a few good job offers when I get outta duty, so I'm probably set.

*Yawn*

Back on the topic of the test: they've got some sort of planet they terraformed, and made creatures to put on it. As it turns out, they're not very creative, so they made a lot of things from mythology. Like... I guess cockatrices? Those are in mythology, I think. Point is, I don't know anything about mythology, except for the fact that most of these silly creatures are based off of things in mythology.

I'm not sure about the brightly-coloured horses, though. I've asked about that -- I keep getting corrected. "Ponies". I'd guess one of the doctors daughters suggested it. Or they're children in the bodies of adults. I can't blame them though, I guess it would be cool to see how they'd act. The ponies, I mean. Not the doctors. Seriously, candy-coloured ponies on a planet, with other species 'n whatnot...

They're not really like... 'Earth-Earth ponies', but the similarities are present, from what I've seen so far. I guess the whole... society part is new, because last time I checked, ponies back home couldn't form a society like these ones have. Though, the society might have been implemented before-hand, and maybe they already had intelligence. I'd have to ask around, or look at records to find out more.

The crew here is fairly open about the project, believe it or not. Friendly, too. I talked to Matthew about going down to actually explore, but they're not sure about it. They're sort of cut down the middle. Half of them think it's a horrible idea, because we can't know the consequences, or the results, but the other half thinks it'd be a good idea. Might help their 'problem', apparently.

I'm just curious about what it's like down there, though. They've got massive gaps in technology, but they're supposed to be on a 'similar' path to our technologies, but their theory is that they made it too easy to live down there. The ponies have a lot of natural abilities and benefits to live off of, so I'm not too surprised.

They tried side projects to see how they'd react to eachother too, and so there's zebras, griffons, and a lot of other sapient creatures to live alongside.

Their next theory, is that their differences DID affect them on levels that could be like how it affected our own species before, but the ponies are not doing anything about it. Most they do is run and hide, but even then, the problem is either resolved easily, or becomes null some other way.

I sound like one of the scientist guys now, but it's not hard to get. I'll sum it up to the best of my abilities: their lives are way too perfect and easy, they can't progress anymore, and something needs done, but noone knows what actually needs done to keep them going forward.

I've suggested we get new leadership for them, but it's too large scale to change now, we couldn't just replace their 'God-Princesses'. Ugh... Plus, the scientists got them thinking they control the sun and moon by accident. Their ability to control the weather and manipulate a bunch of other things might have sparked them to think they could control celestial bodies as well.

...They can't. That wouldn't make any sense, but they still think they do. Should give them restrictions, but we seriously can't interfere too much.

Oh, and I'm actually surprised they haven't used it as a way to claim dominance over other nations that have been formed. They're just living life like there aren't any problems. I mean, I get that the scientists don't like the idea of killing a ton of them by their own will. I mean, that would probably go against their moral compasses to the point of depression. Seriously. These people are so positive about everything. I don't blame them, they've got so many ways to do great things, but they've done so many great things, they've been way to hands on and supportive.

Shoot, I seriously gotta go. I've been talk-... rambling way too long, and I've got to watch over the main cafeteria in Block C today. More importantly, they're serving sprinkle-covered doughnuts, with a chocolate layer UNDER the sprinkles. I'll try to get back to recording these audio... audio logs tomorrow... Atleast I'm PRETTY sure they're called that. Just got another thing to ask the docto--

Right... so, I've looked into a bunch of what I was wondering about now, and talked to Matthew some more.

Matthew isn't a bad guy, and so far, I think I'm on his good side. He's considering the possibility of sending me down with a scientist. I'm all for that idea, but I'm not sure on exactly what he wants me to do. A little under half of the crew still don't think it's a good idea, and we need to get seventy-five percent on board with it to actually commit to it like that.
