I woke up in a cold sweat as another nightmare had woke me up. This was the fifth one… tonight. They were all the exact same nightmare every time. It would be about me killing the same people over and over again until I had woken up and then I would fall back asleep and the process would replay over and over. I might as well give up on sleep and get moving while I still have moonlight. The sun is pretty much my enemy since Assassin's stay in the shadows. And I’ve been an Assassin ever since I could remember, which was about when I was five years old.

Flashback

I was on a dock crying from falling onto the ground and scraping my knee, I had wet long black hair with blue eyes. A man walked over to me seemingly out of nowhere, he had dark brown hair with green eyes with a short brown beard. He found me lost, alone, and confused and he said he saw something special in me and so he took me to an abandoned building and he told me it used to be an old hotel. But I didn’t know what he was talking about and so I just kept following behind him and he took me inside, dried me off, fed me, and said that this place was mine now.

The next day he had said that I would start training today. He said that “My name is Hex. If you want to survive in this world you would have to become fear. ” he had a dark and masculine voice. And at that time I didn’t know what he was talking about so I just did what I was told and Hex gave me a wooden sword and he taught me the basics of how to fight with a sword and after I had mastered swordfighting after almost the whole day he had started my training in hand to hand combat for if I ever had no weapon he had said. He had me hitting a punching bag, doing all kinds of gymnastics, I learned that from him, and I did strength training. I had gotten stronger every day and after a year of training he said “You’re ready to meet the family, and face The A Test.”

I was confused as to what he was referring to so I just followed him to a room where he put black armor on and grabbed a double sheath and two silver swords and put them on his back and then I followed him out of the hotel. About an hour of running to where ever he was taking me to we finally reached our destination. Well more of his destination, I still didn’t know what was going on. I asked what this place was and why are we here and he said “This is where you will be tested to become one of us. An Assassin. This is our guild, our headquarters. Once we get inside I will take you to where the test will be held and if you pass then you will be one of us.” he said as we walked to a very small shack. He pushed something on the side of the door and the doors slid to the side letting us in.

There were things along the side of the wall and he pushed random things on the wall and they lit up as he pushed them and after he had stopped pushing whatever those were the room started to move. It felt like something was pulling on my legs from the floor. The moving thing had stopped and the doors moved to the side revealing a huge room with many other people in the room that were wearing armor that was either glowing or shining in the light. Given that there were only sticks with fire on them along the walls were the only light in the large room.

Hex guided me through the room as I looked at the floor knowing others were staring at me. He led me to two large doors in the back of the room. He knocked on the door several times and after a few seconds a small window ting opened and two eyes stared out at him.

“Whatchya want fool?” a man behind the door asked in a high pitch voice.

“We have a visitor today.” Hex said as I looked at the man's eyes through the opening. He looked down at me and he squinted his eyes and studied me for a few seconds.

“Alright, fine. Hold on a sec’.” he said as he closed the opening and there were sounds behind the door and a few seconds later one of the large door swung open and the man behind the door stepped to the side. Hex started to walk and I followed and the man who opened the door was only a head taller than me and not as nearly as tall as Hex. Hex was about three feet taller than him.

We walked into the room and it was much larger than the one we were in before and there were tables and chairs spread out across the room. There were even more people in this room than the last and it was even more brightly lit. The reason for that is there was something hanging from the ceiling that was huge and had even more burning sticks.

We walked through the crowd of people with others staring at me either in hate, or confusion. Hex guided me somewhere to the right and ended up at some kind of stand that had a girl with clothes on cleaning a glass cup with many bottles behind her. We walked up to the stand thing and Hex picked me up and set me on one of the stools. The girl saw Hex and walked over to us.

“Hey Hex. What brings ya here today? Haven’t really seen ya for a while.” she said and she spat into the cup she was cleaning.

“Hello Raven. I came here today because I have someone here who will be joining our guild today.” he said putting his hands on my shoulders. The women looked at me and sized me up for a second.

“He doesn’t look like much. Are ya sure you want him to join?” she asked Hex.

“Yes I’m sure. I’ve never been so sure in my life, but I can sense that this boy will take our guild to new heights.” he said.

“Well if you’re sure. Hey Frankie call the boss! Tell him we got meat ready!” she yelled to someone.

I heard loud noise to the end of the table and I looked over and saw someone standing up quickly. He was as tall as the girl, he was very skinny as if he never ate anything, he had a short black beard and the same with his hair. He wore armor like almost everyone else in here and he went over and pulled on something that was silver and had a cone shaped thing at the end of it. He spoke into the end of the thing and when he was done he  pulled on it slightly and it went zooming back to wherever he had pulled it from.

“Would ya like anythin’ while ya wait?” she asked putting the now clean cup down and grabbing a dirty one from behind her.

“A scotch for me and a water for the boy.” he said and the lady nodded and went off down the table.

She came back a few minutes later with a cup of water and a cup of something light brown in a cup and she set them down in front of us and went off down the table again. I took the glass of water in my hand and Hex reached and grabbed his cup of whatever he had said and we drank until Raven came back over.

“Alright he’ll see you two now. Good luck kid.” she said punching the side of my arm lightly. I nodded and put my cup back on the table and I followed Hex to wherever we were going now. We walked to the back of the room like last time and I heard someone calling Hex’s name.

“Hey Hex! Get over here! I want a rematch from last time!” I heard someone say angrily as the ground shook. A big man came over with armor that looked like a warthog and a battle axe. Every step he took the ground would shake under his weight. He looked to have muscle but it mostly looked like fat.

“Not now Bolted I’m busy.” hex said still pushing me along with his hands on my shoulders.

“Oh no you don’t! You're not getting away from me this time!” I heard the man, Bolted, say.

Hex stopped and pushed me away and I ran into someone and they caught  me and I stumbled to stay on my feet. I turned around after standing up, and saw Hex and Bolted fighting. Bolted threw a punch at Hex but he easily avoided it with no emotion on his face. Bolted threw more swings at him but Hex dodged every single one with ease. I watched the whole thing with something that made my nerves tingle and my heart pound in my chest. I saw Bolted throw another punch and Hex side stepped and grabbed his hand with his own and he twisted Bolted’s arm backwards and he screamed in pain.

“Next time listen to me. Your lucky I’m in a good mood or I would have broken your arm off.” Hex said as he let Bolted’s arm go. Bolted nodded his head and Hex came over to me and put a hand on my back and guided me to wherever we were going before we were stopped.

He led me to two more larger doors that made the last one seem small. He knocked on a door in a rhythm that I didn’t know and the doors slowly started to open. I looked behind me and I saw everyone in the room starting to walk up stairs and through doors on this and the next floor and I wondered where they were going. We walked into the two large door and we walked into a dark tunnel with loud sounds echoing as the sounds bounced off the walls. There were bright lights coming from up ahead as we walked down the hall. We walked through the tunnel with minimum lighting and I shielded my eyes from the bright light. I looked up at Hex and it seemed like the light didn’t bother him at all. We get to the end of the dark hall and he stops me with a hand on my chest.

“Listen boy. Once you go in there I cannot help you no matter what. When you’re in there its either kill or be killed. So whatever you do you must kill whoever you are facing.” he said looking out into the lights looking at something. I nodded my head and I tried to look into the light and see what he was seeing but I had to shield my eyes again before I went blind.

He pushed me further down and we exited the hall and we entered a circular stadium and I still covered my eyes getting used to the bright lights shining down on me. As soon as I exited the tunnel I heard that the sounds that were echoing in the tunnel was cheering coming from the people in the stands. Hex walked me to the center of the arena and he got down on one knee and put a hand on my shoulder.

“Now whoever you must face just know that whatever the outcome I’m glad that I’ve known you from the time that I had found you.” he said and he wrapped his arms around me and brought me close to him. I did the same and we stayed like that for a few seconds before he let go of me and stood up. “Good luck.” he said and he walked over to a door and went inside.

“Ladies and Gentlemen! I would like to announce how I am gladly awaiting this fight to begin!” I heard a man yell in a very dark voice above the cheers. “Let’s give our newcomer a round of applause before the match begins.” He said and the cheers got even louder as I looked to where the voice was coming from. I saw a man with red armor on that looked to be taller than Hex. I couldn’t tell his age from the armor that covered every inch of his body, and he had a large sword on his back.

“Now who will face this young man today!?” he asked and the cheers stopped and after a few seconds they started chanting a word. It got louder by the second and they were saying ‘Bolted’. “Well then Bolted it is. Get out there Bolted.” he said and Bolted jumped out of the stands and onto the dirt floor and as he landed dust flew up from the impact of his weight.

“Hahaha! I’m gonna tear you to pieces boy!” he said and he took his battle axe off of his back and into his hands.

“Pick your weapon competitor!” the man in red armor said as he pointed to something behind me. I looked behind me and saw a rack of weapons on the wall. I walked over and scanned the weapons to see a sword that was pure black that looked like it was see through and it was something I’ve never seen before. I picked it up and held it in my hands and it was very light. The blade was longer than my arm and it looked like it was heavy but it wasn’t at all. I swung it to the side a few times and it was easy to swing too.

“Now let the match commence!” the man up above said and Bolted ran after me while screaming and holding his axe above his head.

I ran away hoping to escape him, I looked behind me and saw that I was now far away from him as he tried to keep up with me. I started to hear everyone booing me and I looked up and they were booing me. I decided to stop running and I turned back and he continued to charge me while screaming. Cheers boomed from the stands as I stopped.

As soon as he got right in front of me he swung down at me and I stepped to the side and his axe dug into the ground. I took that chance and swung down with my sword but he jumped to the side as soon as I swung and I missed him. Bolted pulled his axe out of the ground and glared at me and I glared back at him.

He swung at me again and I stepped back and avoided his attack. I swung at him and he blocked my attack with his axe and he pushed me away sending me flying across the arena like I was nothing but air in his way. I landed on the ground and tripped as I slid back farther away from him and landed on my back with a thud still sliding. I finally stop sliding and quickly stood up on wobbly legs as I look at Bolted.

“You’re gonna die boy!” he yelled from the other side of the arena.

I looked at the door Hex walked into and looked up to see Hex with his hand on his chin watching me. Then I remembered something he had taught me in my training. He had told me to analyze my foe and find his weakness. I looked back at Bolted who was running at me again. He got close to me and I scanned him while he was swinging at me and I dodged everyone with a straight face. I finally realized every weakness he has, he’s big which means he’s slow and not as fast as me. It also takes him a few seconds to pull his axe back and swing at me again which in that time I would need to attack him from behind. I run around him in circles as he tries to turn around and cut me into two as I ran around him.

He grunts in frustration and he stops and swings his axe into the ground and I stopped right before the axe cut me in two. I looked at him and he glared at me, I smirked and I jumped high into the air and Bolted watched me and I started my disant and I swung my sword down and he tried to dodge but I had cut deep into his shoulder. He screamed loudly from the pain and he fell to the ground on his knees. I took my sword out of him and backed away and looked at Hex and he shook his head and took his finger and ran it across his neck. I nodded my head slowly and I around and Bolted had gotten up and was in front of me and was swinging down with his axe. I wasn’t quick enough to react and as I jumped back he cut me across my face.

I looked at him and thought he had missed somehow even though I felt his axe slice down on my face and then I felt something warm running down my face, I put a hand to my face and felt something wet. I looked at my hand and there was blood. I looked back at Bolted and glared at him while he smirked and laughed. Then I felt that same feeling from when Hex and Bolted had fought. My heart pounded in my chest and my whole body tingled with excitement, and at that moment I knew what to do.

I ran straight at him and he swung down on me like I wanted and I side stepped and kneed him in his face. Blood came out of his nose and as he stumbled back and I ran at him and as he recovered from my hit he had saw me at the last second before I stabbed in right in his heart and he stopped moving and the crowd went dead silent. I looked up at Bolted and he was staring down at me with a horrified look and he looked at where I had stabbed him and he began coughing up blood and he fell to the ground dead. Then all of a sudden the crowd went nuts and cheered like there pants were being lit on fire.

“We have… a winner!” the man up above said and I didn’t think it was possible but the cheering got even louder.

In the corner of my eye I saw Hex walking out towards me. He stopped in front of me and for the first time he smiled. Then I smiled as well and he pulled something out from behind his back and put something to my head over my cut. I heard something moving from my right and I looked over and saw the man in red armor walking towards us.

“Hex is this your boy?” he asked.

“Yes he is.” Hex said standing back up as I held the thing on my cut.

“Well what is his name?” he asked.

“He doesn’t have one.” he said to him.

“Well what are you going to call him? Everyone needs to know the name of the winner.” he said.

“Hmm.” Hex said putting a hand to his chin thinking. He looked down at me and his eyebrows shot up and he smiled at me. “I think I’ll name him… Angel of Death.” (By the way these are Assassin names and I looked up names for Assassin’s and typed my name in and that's the result I got. So I just used it, accept it. But I’ll just call him AD)

“Alrighty. Ladies and gentleman give it up for Angel of Death!” the man in red armor said and the cheers started over again and he held up my arm. After that we went back into the other large room and we sat back at the table where I had met Raven before.

“Welcome to the guild mate. Here let me but some bandages on your cut. You’ll have a scar once it’s healed up , but at least your still alive.” I heard Raven say to my right. I looked over and saw her smiling at me and I smiled back as she rapped something white around my head and over my cut which went across my right eye, my nose and mouth going diagonally.

<~----------------{/[]}----------------~>

I shook the memory from my head and I started to untie the rope that was around my waist and wrapped around a tree. I had climbed a tree and tied myself to it so while I slept I wouldn’t turn in my sleep and fall to the ground. After several seconds I had gotten the knot undone and I grabbed my bag that was hanging off of a nearby branch and tucked the rope in the side of my bag. I threw my bag down below me onto the ground and started to climb down the tree with my swords on my back and my armor on my body. I climbed down to a decent height which there was about 20 ft left till I would reach the ground still and I jumped down the rest of the way and landed on the ground with a thud.

I picked up my bag and slung it around my shoulders and took out my sword. It was pure black that was see through just like how it was on my first day at the guild. Then I remembered the day that reminded me of Yin and Yang.

Another Flashback

Ten years have passed since the day I had passed the The A Test and became an Assassin. I was taught everything I needed to know by everyone in the guild. But I always wanted to train more with Hex and when I did I went all out, even though I went all out in everything I did I trained extra hard with Hex. I was also taught things I would need to know like basics in math, language, and especially magic. Raven was teaching me those things while I trained. Some spells that I were good at, well what Raven had said I was good at, were Death, Energy, Nightmare, Power, and Resurrection spells. When I became thirteen I had done my very first contract and I had completed it with no flaws and I came back and was given armor for helping the guild, and I got it like how everyone else in the guild did, I fought for it and won and I got this for my prize, but I didn’t have to kill anyone in for my armor.

Click this to see armor

I only get wings on my back when I use a spell to call them but it takes a lot of my energy so I rarely use them unless I need to. And every day I would get new contracts and sometimes have more than five because people have started to hear what I can do and what I have done. So they would hire me and every time I would go out Hex and raven would be waiting for me to return.

And on my sixteenth birthday Hex told me that there was going to be a wedding here at the guild. And when I asked who's getting married he told me it was him and Raven. I was so surprised I had to punch myself in the face to see I wasn’t dreaming, and it hurt since I have gained much muscle  since growing. In all ten years of being in the guild Raven and Hex were my role models and I had been with them almost everyday training or thinking of strategies or just talking. But when I went out to finish my contracts for the day I started to run back home through my usual route through the woods where I would go to the guild. And then something I saw made me scared. And I’ve never been as scared as I was then.

I saw smoke rising off into the distance and I ran as fast as my legs would take me. I’ve never ran that fast in my life and I have faced many dangers in my time of life. I ran all the way to the guild and saw that the smoke was coming from the guild. I ran to the elevator and the door was broken off and I looked around quickly to see if anyone had made it out and there was no one in sight.

I jumped into the blazing elevator and grabbed onto the cable and slid down it. I slid all the way down to the Assassin's hideout and I landed on the ground with a thud. I ran off the ground as I thought of where I wanted to go. I went off speeding and I searched all around as fire was spreading everywhere and the whole place was falling apart. I pulled out my pure black sword and I had smithed it to be bigger and I used a spell to have it be able to use magic.

Anyway I searched all over to find someone while cutting falling wood that was on fire and find out what's going on and who had done this. I went down a hall and out into the arena and there were burned bodies everywhere. I felt my anger boiling up and I thought of a spell that I could use to stop this. I conjured a Ceto daughter of Gaia and Pontus.

“Ceto put out this fire.” I said and she puffed up her cheeks and she let out a torrent of water from her mouth and put out the fire. I called her back and she shined a bright light and it faded away and there she wasn’t standing where she had been anymore. That wasn’t the only thing that was gone, the fire was put out and I looked around and only saw burnt corpses. I felt my anger starting to boil over before I heard a voice. I searched around the destroyed arena trying to find anyone who may be alive.

“A… D.” I heard someone say slowly. The voice was right next to me and I looked down and saw a burnt Hex lying on the ground on his stomach. I got on one knee next to him. His whole body was nearly black and bubbled and cracked.

“Hex who did this!?” I asked.

“Do not worry… about him. He has been.. taken care of.” he said coughing every time he stopped to take a breath. “AD… l-l-listen to me. Do not worry… about me or a-anyone else. All that m-m-matters is that you a-are still a-alive.” he said struggling with his words. “You must live on… and keep the guild with you and… start over.” he said coughing up blood every time he stopped to take a breath.

“I am p-p-p-proud that I can c-c-call you my son.” he said as his eyes fluttered. “Goodbye.” he said in whisper and he let out his last breath and fell limp. I used my magic and tried to use a resurrection spell on him but when the magic hit him it turned his body to dust and every other body left did he same. I looked at the Hex which is now a pile of ash and I was angered.

I screamed in agony at my fallen comrades and at Hex and Raven. The ones I have lived with have died so easily and now I’m all that's left of them. I stopped screaming and looked all around me and saw Hex’s scythe lying on the ground unscathed somehow from all that has fallen and burned. And yet it laid there without a single scratch on it. I picked it up in my hand and looked it over. It was a black scythe with a skull at the back of the blade and the blade was very sharp to the point. Hex hardly had it with him unless he knew he was going to get into another fight or when he had a contract to do. I put it on my back and looked at Hex once more.

“Don’t worry I’ll find a way to bring you all back to life. I swear on my life that I will find a way.” I said and I walked away trying not to notice the piles of ash on the ground. But it was hard not too so I ran out of the arena and back to still other burning room and back to the elevator and parkored my way back up by jumping side to side, wall to wall and finally jumped out of the broken elevator and landed on dirt. I wiped off fire that had gotten onto me while running out of there and looked at the broken elevator. It tumbled down and buried the remains of the guild.

“I’ll be back.” I said and I walked off and set out on my long journey to find the spell to resurrect my fallen guild members.

<~---------------{/[]}----------------~>

Back to current time

And ever since then I’ve been searching for that spell and it just so happens that I went into a bar to get supplies and I had asked the owner of the bartender if he ever heard of the spell I’m looking for and he said that he heard a King named Ashe has a spell that is in the Midwest has the spell and so I’ve made my way to King Ashe ever since finding that information, even though it may not be true it's the only lead I have right now. It’s been 3 years since that day and I’ve never forgotten about what happened. Everyday I’m reminded of it by death around me. And every time that same memory plays over and over in my head. And I can’t even escape it in my dreams. But it's also a good thing, it reminds me of why I’m doing this journey in the first place.

I walked through the woods with my new armor on. The day after I had left my destroyed guild I needed to find a new set of armor since I whoever had destroyed the guild might know that not all had died that day. So I had killed someone on the way to Ashe’s castle and it just so happened that he was an Assassin as well so I took his armor and anything else like food, potions or ingredients. Now I wear this.

But I still have my other armor, I used a spell that can send anything nonliving into a alternate dimension and I put it in there but I am only going to wear it when I get to King Ashe’s castle. Since I’ve been trying to get to Ashe for three years now and he’s on the other side of the land I should only be about a mile or two away from the King by now and then I can get the spell and head back to the destroyed guild and fix what happened.

I pulled my hood over my face and ran through the forest for about a half hour before I started to see the kingdom off in the distance above the trees. It was a large white castle with very ancient looking pillars holding it up. I ran the rest of the way and a huge white wall blocked my path.

I stopped at the foot of the wall and looked all the way up the wall and it seemed to be about 35 feet tall and there were no trees close to the wall so I couldn’t climb a tree and jump over the wall. I thought of a plan and used my spell and a dark ball of matter formed in my hand and I cast it up in the air and a few seconds later a dark oval hole appeared in front of me and I took my other armor out and put it on and put the others in the portal and closed it.

I looked up the wall again and decided to just climb the wall. I take my bag off of my back and put it on the ground. I open it and pull out another set of rope with a grappling hook on it. I closed my bag and put it back on and I start to swing the rope around. After a few seconds of swinging I look up and aim at the wall and throw the rope over the wall and it hooks to it. I tug on it to make sure it’s secure and after finding out that it is I start to climb. A few minutes of climbing later I get to the top of the wall and I unhook the grappling hook and I put it back in my bag and put it back on. Then unsheathed my sword and took my scythe off of my back and jumped and turned around in the air and stabbed the wall with my swords and put them at an angle so I can cut through the wall while sliding down. I land on the ground and take my sword and scythe out of the wall and sheathed them and continue my way to the front of the castle. I was currently behind the castle and I had to go around it, and the place was a rectangle and so I had a way to go before getting to the front door. So I started to run to my left as I kept my eyes out for any guards. I ran most of the way before spotting two guards walking my way. Just what I wanted. I thought as I kept running towards them pretending I didn’t see them.

“Holt! Stop where you stand!” one of the guards said as they both pointed spears at me and I did as told, but not out of fear. “What business do you have here?” he asked.

“I have come to see the King of course.” I said as the way they talked. I did not want them to know that I not from here. They were both wearing full body armor that was silver and had wings on the helmet.

“Ah, you must be the messenger from the war! Come! Right this way!” the other guard said with a smile and they both turned around and led me to the King. I followed them all the way to a large iron gate that had two wooden doors behind said gate that is the same height as the gate. There was man wearing the same armor as the other two guards behind the gate but with no helmet. He stood on the right side next to a lever on the wall.

“Who goes there?” the guard behind the gate asked.

“It is us brother. We come bearing the messenger from the war.” the second guard said pointing at me.

“Ah the messenger. Hold on while I get the gate and you can come right on in.” he said as he pulled the lever that on the wall next to him. The gate started to move up and after several seconds it was raised all the way up.

“He will guide you to the king from here. Have a good day.” he said and both guards walked ff continuing with their task.

“Yeah.” I said as I looked at the guard who had opened the gate.

“Right this way.” he said and he opened the wooden doors and walked in and I followed behind him.

We walked through halls, and rooms, and it seemed like a labyrinth to me until finally reaching the King’s throne room. The guard walked in and bowed to the king.

“Sire the messenger is here to see you.” he said. The king nodded and the guard bowed and walked out of the room.

I looked around the room and the room was made of cobblestone and i was standing on a red carpet that led up to some stairs and to the kings throne. I looked at the king and all I could see of him were pale white hands and legs with black pants on. I looked at him with a neutral expression and I could tell something was off about this guy.

“So you’re the messenger.” he said in a malicious voice.

“No I’m not the messenger. I just need to talk to you.” I said.

“And why didn’t you just ask in the first place? You didn’t have to lie, my castle is open to all if they seek me. So what is it you want?” he asked me.

“I heard that you know a spell that is the strongest resurrection spell. Is that true?” I asked him. We just stared at eachother while he chose his answer.

“You heard correctly. But what does this spell have any value to you?” he asks me.

“I’d rather keep my own business to myself.” I said.

“Fine. Why should I give you this spell?” he asked me clamping his hands together.

“Because if you don’t then I’ll break your bones, even if I have to suck the spell right out of you.” I said drawing my scythe.

“Nice try but I don’t think an Assassin trying to revive his guild is worth giving a spell to you.” he said and my eyes go wide even though he couldn’t see my face.

“How do you know about that!?” I yell while taking my fighting stance readying myself for a fight.

“Calm down boy. I know this because I’m the one who sent the one who burned your guild to the ground.” he said and I felt my anger rising in my chest.

“You will pay for what you did!” I yelled running at him while he just sat there.

I jumped into the air once I got to the steps and started to swing down with my scythe and I felt something sharp dig into side right into my skin and into my body and I cried out in pain and fell to the ground. I looked at my ide and saw an arrow that was like my sword, black but it looked like t was giving off a black mist from the arrow.

“Now that wasn’t very smart boy. Look what you did, now I’m going to have to have someone clean up this mess.” he said. I put my hands on the ground in front of me and pushed myself up slowly and finally stood up and took the arrow out of my side and threw it to the ground.

“Hmm the boys got some fight in him.” he said. “How about I make a proposal that will benefit the both of us?” he asked me.

“I’m listening.” I said ready to finish whatever he has for me so I can get this spell and be on my way.

“How about you assassinate some people, and then I’l give you the spell you want. Are you up for the challenge?” he asked holding out his pale hand.

“Fine, it's nothing I haven’t done before.”

“Good luck.” he said and I shook his hand with my gauntlet still on and as we shook hands and he started laughing maniacally and I saw something come out of his sleeve that was like a pure black tentacle and it wrapped around my hand and cut my hand and as I was bleeding I saw something black in my blood. I started to get dizzy and fell to the floor on my side. I soon blacked out but before I did I saw red eyes staring at me, right into my soul.

“Wake up.” I heard someone say. I slowly opened my eyes and saw nothing but black still thinking I had not opened my eyes at all yet.

“You’re the one he sent me? Hmm, I suppose you’ll do.” the same voice said in a dark voice as it echoed around me and as he spoke it sounded like there were two people instead of one, almost like this guy had a second voice that whispered the same words he spoke a second after. I looked around and didn’t see anyone in sight, only walls that surrounded me.

“What do you mean? And where are you?” I asked him as I saw my scythe, sword, and bag laying on the ground a few feet away from me. I grabbed them and stood back up and slipped on something and fell to the ground. I stood up again and got my footing and put my scythe on my back and my bag next and kept my sword in my hand. I used an illusion spell to light the room with a ball of light floating beside me. I looked around and saw that I was surrounded by walls of light blue ice that was giving off a cold mist.

“I had an ally help me find somepony to help in my situation. And I am inside your mind at the moment.”

“That’s great and all but I don’t care… about the first thing that is. Where am I?” I ask feeling a cold chill run up my spine.

“You are in the depths of the ice of The Crystal Empire.” he said with venom dripping from his words.

“Where’s that at? Antarctica? Well look’s like I have another long walk back to the dumb ass castle.” I said as I looked around to find a tunnel or any other way out of here.

“You are not going home any time soon.”

“What do you mean by that?” I ask tightening my grip around my sword.

“I mean that you are not where you think you are. You are in a world called Equus.”

“You mean to tell me that I’m not even on my world any more. I can’t be on another world now. I need to get back to my world!” I yelled running to a wall and swinging my sword and scythe at it cutting it greatly but my attempts were for nothing.

“That isn’t going to work.” I heard him say as I slid my sword deep into the ice. “If you really need to get back home. Then I may have a way for you to return.” he said and I took my sword out of the ice.

“Then what are you waiting for!? Send me back!”

“Ah, ah, ah. It’s not going to be that easy. If I’m going to and you back you need to do something for me. And it won’t be something easy.”

“I don’t care! That bitch king wanted me to kill some people and then something came out of his sleeve and cut me.” I said and I looked at my hand and saw that where that thing had went through my gauntlet and cut me there was no longer any sign of anything cutting my gauntlet open.

“Yes and he did send you to kill. But only the ones I need you to kill. Think of it like a contract, if you do this then you’ll be rewarded. But this contract is not like your usual contract. Now will you agree to do this or do I have to kill you?”

“If I do this then you’ll send me back to my world? And how do you know about me being an assassin?”

“Yes, and I will give you the spell you need to revive your fallen family. And I know because I’ve been needing an assassin.”

“So you mean to tell me you’ve been planning this?”

“Yes. Now answer the question. You are testing my patience.”

“Yes I’ll do it. Now what exactly do you need me to do? So I can get it done and over with.”

“We cannot go right into the assignment. If we are going to pull this off then we may need some assistance.”

“I don’t need any help with killing someone. I’ve been doing it for seven years now and I haven’t needed any help since and I don’t need it now.”

“That's not what I was told.”

“Well you heard wrong. Just tell me what to do so I can leave this place as fast as possible.”

“If you want to go home then you will do as I say.”

“...fine.”

“Good. Now for your first task I need you to find a book on a myth about Nightmare Moon.”

“Yeah I’d love to do that but I can’t exactly leave this place dumb ass.”

“Grrh. Yes I know. I am going to use a spell to take you out of here but it will only bring you straight up and out of here. For I am not at full power at the moment. I am weak from being sealed away down here for almost a thousand years now. But I will soon be at full power and there are other ways for me to receive more power but it is not something that often happens in this world. But because of recent events with a newcomer in this world that is no longer here has made a certain ruckus that has filled me with much power.”

“Yeah enough chit chat just take me out of here already. You can explain everything some other time.”

“Watch your tongue boy. I may not be able to do much but I am still able to kill you.”

“Yeah, yeah. Now hurry it up.”

“Once I get you out of here I will still be in your mind but not as often as you may want. Now don’t move or the spell will falter and not work perfectly and you may in up in the ice instead of above it.” he said and I stayed perfectly still and then there were black tentacles coming out of the ground and they came above me and then wrapped all the way around my armor.

A few seconds later and they started to unwrap around me and sink back into the ground and there was a blizzard of snow blowing harshly in my face. But I still had my armor on so the snow did not get in nor make me cold. The tentacles were now fully gone and I put my sword that was still in my hand back on my back.

“And if you are wondering, my name is Sombra, King Sombra, and you might want to head South. Stay alive out there… Death.” he said and there was a fuzzy feeling in the back of my head and it vanished.

I looked around and my ball of light was gone and I cast another one beside me and used a shield spell to block the snow so I could walk through this blizzard easier. I took my bag off of my back and opened it up and pulled out my compass and saw that north was to my right, I put my compass back in my backpack, closed it and put it back on my back. I turned and walked left and trudged through the snow to my destination.
