On the Subject of Magic

Magic is a vital part of everyday life in Equestria, affecting nearly everything a modern pony interacts with. For our species as a whole, typically, unicorns levitate objects and cast spells without batting an eye, pegasi control the weather schedule, and earth ponies aid crop growth. Each of these activities is spurred on by magic- some more apparent than others-, but the processes involved in performing these actions is so ingrained in our brains and biology that they come to us through instinct.
