Chapter 2: Help from the Element of KindnessView OnlineFriendship StudyChapter 2: Help from the Element of KindnessChapter 2: Help From the Element of Kindness Starlight made her way over to the castle running to the room with the map where Twilight sat reading a spellbook more than likely for the hundredth time, Twilight looked up from her book and smiled at Starlight who gave a smile back. “Hey Starlight!” She greeted cheerfully happy to see her student. “Hello Twilight! I need advice.” Starlight said sitting in one of the chairs around the map with a small smile towards her teacher. “Really? What do you need?” Twilight asked closing her book and setting it aside focusing her attention on her student with a look of curiosity. Starlight told Twilight what had happened when she first saw Sketch Melody and met her and how she felt at the time of the event. While she was talking Twilight gathered her thoughts on the situation Starlight was talking about feeling the same sadness that Starlight had that reminded Twilight with her experience with Moon Dancer. “I feel so bad for her Twilight there has to be something I can do, She doesn't think that she needs friends.” Starlight stated looking down at her hooves. “This reminds me of what happened with me and Moon dancer.” Twilight stated. “Really? What happened?” Starlight asked. “Maybe this can help me with Sketch Melody.” Twilight nodded telling Starlight what had happened, Starlight took mental notes in her mind while Twilight told her tale, hoping that some of these would help with what was going on. “I hope that helped you a bit.” Twilight said giving a hopeful smile. Starlight looked at her with a thankful look mixed with determination. (*reading the story fills you with Determination…* XD sorry I had to XD I’ve watched wayyyy too many let's plays of Undertale XD) “It’s a start, thank you so much Twilight, this has given me some ideas.” Starlight replied with a smile. “ok, if you need more help i am happy to help.” Twilight offered. “I’ll keep that in mind.” Starlight stated jumping out of her chair. “I’ll be back later for dinner.” After saying goodbye Star light walked out of the castle and headed back into Ponyville. While walking in town thinking Starlight found herself bumping into somepony. As she was about to apologise she but recognized the pony she bumped into. “Oh Fluttershy!” Starlight stated/exclaimed helping the yellow Pegasus up. “I’m sorry, I was in thought.” “Oh its ok Starlight.” Fluttershy stated with a smile. “Is everything ok?” “Just working on my first friendship task.” Starlight stated informing Fluttershy what was going on. “Oh!” Fluttershy squeaked. “I’m actually on my way to see her father.” "Her father?" Starlight asked curiously she pressed on. "Why are you going to see her father?" "Oh he needed me to take a look at his dog Ringo." “Would you mind me tagging along to learn a little more about her?” Starlight asked hoping to learn more about Sketch Melody from her father with Fluttershy's help. “No problem.” Fluttershy agreed bringing a bit of worry off of Starlight's shoulders. The two mares walked together they spotted an orange house with a blue roof. When get got to the door Fluttershy knocked. Starlight wondered to herself what Sketch's father looked like, did he look mean? Or was he kind and relaxed? The questions ran in Starlight’s mind as they trotted through Ponyville, the citizens all smiling and talking to each other, seeing this calmed Starlight glimmer down greatly. Hoping that she could make a friend like that with other ponies outside of Twilight and her friends. Fluttershy came to a stop in front of a cottage with a small shed labeled “Sports Equipment”. “What does Blaze Heat do?” Starlight asked Fluttershy. “He coaches sports for the little colts and fillies in ponyville, he used to coach the wonderbolts at one point.” Fluttershy replied with a smile. “Really?” Starlight questioned her eyes full of curiosity. “Why does he coach the school ponies?” “Because my grandson likes to play sports.” A gruff voice said with a laugh. Fluttershy and Starlight looked behind them both spooked and behind them stood a tall orange Pegasus stallion, with a short black mane with a baseball hat between his ears and a whistle around his neck. “Hello Mister Blaze!” Fluttershy greeted. “Hello Fluttershy.” Blaze laughed hard. “What's so funny?” Starlight asked. Blaze looked down at Starlight a smile still brimming on his face. “You’re faces when I spooked ya!” He chuckled. “You’re the princesses student right?” “Yes I am.” Starlight replied then thought for a moment. “Wait you said grandson right Sketch Melody has a child?” “No no.” Blaze said with a laugh. “My stepdaughter Diamond Sparkle has a little colt named Shooting Star.” “Oh that’s right, Applejack said something about Sketch Melody having a sister.” Starlight thought to herself while Blaze showed Fluttershy to where his dog was laying down sick. Moments later Blaze trotted back over to Starlight and stopped in front of her. “Fluttershy said you had a few questions for me about Sketch Melody?” Blaze asked Starlight. “Yes I do.” Starlight answered. “May I ask why?” Blaze asked as he walked into his house with starlight following him. Starlight sat at the table that was in the kitchen while Blaze grabbed some cups and some lemonade which Starlight gratefully accepted a Glass while she told him what had happened and he listened politely taking a seat at the table. “That doesn’t surprise me.” Blaze said after Starlight finished her story. “But shutting her friends out and saying that she doesn’t need them is new.” “I thought as much.” Starlight replied with a sigh. “What might have caused this?” “That I don’t know anything about, she hasn’t told me or her sister anything.” Blaze answered. “But if there is anyone she would talk to about this it would be Flare Spark.” “Flare Spark?” Starlight asked with curiosity. “Isn’t she the Pegasus that does fireworks?” Blaze nodded, Starlight felt a spark of hope in her gut, she was Finally getting somewhere. After getting directions, Starlight got up and thanked Blaze Heat for the information and ran outside giving Fluttershy a quick goodbye and a glass of lemonade before running off. Chapter 3: A Quest Nearly Done! A History Revealed!View OnlineFriendship StudyChapter 3: A Quest Nearly Done! A History Revealed!Author's Note Here's another Chapter! :D Hope you like it! Hope you all brought some feels! Chapter 3: A Quest Nearly Done! A History Revealed! Chapter 3: A Quest Nearly Done! A History Revealed! Starlight trotted as fast as she could through the streets of Ponyville, dirt and small pebbles being kicked up slightly as she picked up her pace. She knew that if Sketch Melody’s father didn’t know anything then this pony Flare Spark did. This time, Starlight didn’t need to ask for directions to find this mare this time. Flare Spark was known all over Ponyville as the best fireworks pony in all of Equestria. Everypony knew where Flare Spark’s shop was and Starlight Glimmer knew that she could find her there at this time of day Since the pegasus mare loved to shoot off a few fireworks to test them out. After Twenty minutes of trotting through Ponyville, Starlight had come across a good-sized shop, in front of it stood a purple pegasus with a long curly brown mane, that seemed to bounce, like a certain pink pony she knew, as she moved or flew around. As if sensing that Starlight was there the mare turned to look at Starlight. Starlight walked closer to the pegasus. The pegasus looked at Starlight closely her eye narrowing at her. “You’re Twilight’s new student right?” Flare Spark asked as Starlight got closer to her. “Yes, I am!” Starlight replied with a smile. “I’m Starlight Glimmer.” “Yeah I’ve seen you around here.” Flare Spark said folding her wings to her sides. “What brings you to my shop?? Twilight didn’t order any fireworks did she? or maybe Rainbow Dash?” “No no.” Starlight giggled, still a smile on her face as she continued. “I’m actually here to talk to you about something.” “Talk to me? Why?” Flare spark asked curiously. “It's about Sketch Melody--” Before Starlight could speak anymore, Flare Spark was up in her face with a worried expression. “is my sis ok?!” She practically shouted. “She's not hurt is she? I swear if any pony hurt her I’m gonna--” Starlight backed up putting a hoof to Flare spark’s mouth cutting off the rest of her sentence. “She's fine, but I came to talk to you about how she's been acting lately,” Starlight said pulling her hoof back. Flare Spark frowned looking down, before looking to meet Starlight’s gaze before she spoke again. “How so?” Flare spark asked her eyebrow raised as to question what Starlight was talking about. Starlight sat and talked with Flare spark feeling bad that she had to tell Flare Spark about her friend. Starlight didn’t even know if Flare spark would listen but she would understand, as far as Flare Spark concerned Starlight was just a stranger. When Starlight was finished with her tale Flare Spark was silent as she processed the information given to her. When she was done Flare Spark spoke once more. “This isn’t the first time this has happened.” Flare spark stated. “what was the first time?” Starlight asked wondering why none of the ponies she had talked to had not told her about it. “You would have to ask Crescent Moon.” Flare spark said then suddenly broke into a smile. “I’ll bring ya to meet her!” Flare Spark jumped into the air and flew over to Starlight, Picking her up in her forelegs before flying off half as fast as a certain Rainbow maned pony that had popped into Starlights mind as she was carried to a house a few minutes away from the Everfree Forest, it looked like your average house for one Pony to live in. It was a shade of light blue with a brown tiled roof covered in white stars. Flare Spark set Starlight down on all four legs before landed next to her. a smile on Flare Sparks face told Starlight this might not be so bad after all this could be more information to help Sketch Melody. “This is where Crescent Moon lives!” Flare Spark said with a big smile on her face. “She and I were in the same Class, Sketch was ahead of us, though.” “Really?? then how would she know about what happened the first time Sketch Melody pushed everyone away,” Starlight asked with her brow raised. “Well, there was a day I had to go with Pinkie to do a party so Crescent Moon.” Flare spark stated. “So she was spending time with Sketchy, they talked about it.” “I guess that would make sense.” Starlight said. “let's see if she’s home.” “YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYUUYYYYYYY.” Flare Spark squealed. (and Yes those two “UU” are meant to be there XD it is how CQforever (she's on Deviantart :3) and I say yayyy XD It's weird I know XD but she's my best friend and sis :3 sooo meh X3) Flare Spark flew over to the door in a flash and knocked on it multiple times before the door opened and Flare Spark flopped on her stomach. Starlight stifled a laugh as Flare spark was helped up off the ground by a dark Blue Pegasi, she had black mane with a single blue streak. “Hi, Crescent!” Flare Spark said with a grin. “I brought a new friend!” “Friend?” The mare now known as Crescent Moon said; taking a look at Starlight. Starlight waved politely with a smile, gaining a smile back from Crescent. “Well, any friend of Flare Spark is a friend of mine.” “I am glad,” Starlight replied with a smile. “Starlight here already met Sketch.” Flare spark said with a grin. “Speaking of her have you heard from her?” Crescent asked. “She was going to help me with planning a Save the wolves event.” “Allow me to clear some of the confusion,” Starlight answered. The three mares walked in Starlight explaining what was going on as she had done with other ponies that same day. Crescent listened until Starlight was done, she nodded and collected her own thoughts before speaking. “Yes, I remember her talking about the first time she shut everyone away.” Crescent told them grabbing a cup of apple juice from a cup on the end table next to her and setting it down before speaking once more. “Are you sure you want to hear about it?” “Yes.” Starlight said. “After seeing Sketch Melody like that, I want to do what I can to help her.” Crescent gave Starlight a smile before she began the story told to her by Sketch Melody. (ok so this is gonna get a little Depressing here just a heads up, it was hard for me to write this part since some of this are based on stuff I went thought when I was 15 I don't wanna say much more than that) “Years, before Twilight Sparkle had come to town Sketch Melody, had become an aunt to a small earth pony colt named Shooting Star, but the happiness was short-lived.” Crescent started. “During Shooting Star’s first summer their family had taken in a the daughter of a childhood friend named Flannel Star and her own daughter Golden Autumn. After that moment, everything had gone down hill.” A frown made its way to all of their faces, Starlight put a hoof to her chest Feeling a Tight Squeeze in her heart. Crescent took a breath before continuing on with the story. “While Diamond Sparkle and Flannel Star were out acting like School fillies Diamond Sparkle was left to take care of both Shooting Star and Golden Autumn.” Crescent stopped for a moment and a small smile made its way to her face. “Even though she felt like everything was bad, She always found some sort of joy when she would see either Golden Autumn or Shooting Star smile or laugh.” Starlight was grateful for some happiness in the story and that Sketch Melody was not completely surrounded by sadness. “Though all of the Fights she had with her mother about Flannel Star or something else she would try to find happiness in things.” Crescent told them. “she didn’t tell me much more about it but she did tell me how she felt unfavorable when it came to her mother, but thanks to us she was able to get over it and her sister bettered herself as well.” “Us?” Starlight asked. “Flare Spark, Golden Reader, Peace Heart, Myself and Sea Gazer.” Crescent said. “mostly Flare Spark and Sea Gazer.” “Yup!” Flare Spark said with a big smile. “Sketch Melody is like my big sister!” “And we are more than happy to help,” Crescent said with a smile. “I think I will,” Starlight said with a smile. “I would like your help finding, Peace Heart, Sea Gazer and Golden reader.” Hopping out of her seat Flare Spark bounced. “I’m on it!” With that Flare Spark had zoomed out of the house. Starlight looked at Crescent and smiled She felt even closer to helping Sketch Melody, and with the help of Sketch Melody’s friends she knew that she as still on the right track, and hopefully not just her but all of them could help Sketch Melody.

Chapter 5: BreakthroughView OnlineFriendship StudyChapter 5: BreakthroughChapter 5: Breakthrough Sketch Melody sat at her easel, the project she was working on being for Filthy Rich and his wife Spoiled Rich. They were one of her highest paying clients, and she was never late with any of their orders, whether it was a family portrait or an art lesson for their darling daughter Diamond Tiara. At the rate she was going she was hoping to make her deadline, but with all the thoughts running through her head it was hard for her to concentrate, first she got interrupted by the Cutie Mark Crusaders breaking her window yesterday, then Princess Twilight’s student coming to her door and distracting her along with the work she had piled up. Out of those things they didn't compare to what weighed on her mind the most, her sister Diamond Sparkle hardly talked to her and ever since their mother's passing she had grown more distant towards her and her father. She, however, did not feel like talking to anyone about it, she didn't want to trouble anyone with her problems, in her mind, everyone had bigger problems to deal with. About to put the finishing touches on the painting in front of her, a portrait of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, when she heard somepony knocking at her door, for once deciding to take her time, she finished the painting before going over to the door, letting out a yawn with her eyes closed as she opened the door. When her eyes opened, she saw three of her friends and Starlight Glimmer standing in front of her door. Fighting the urge to slam the door in Starlight a face, she let out a flustered breath before speaking. “What do you want?” Sketch asked. “We want to help.” Says Starlight, a small smile on her face. “I don't need help.” Sketch denied, trying to keep from snapping. “Please leave me alone.” “Sketch don't shut us out.” Peace heart squeaked. “We only want to see what's going on with you.” Golden Reader chimed in. “We understand if you don’t want to talk about it, but we are your friends.” Crescent Moon added. “Look I’m fine.” Sketch growled her voice dropping in tone. “We knew you would say that,” Starlight said. “Which is why we are trying to get your sister.” Sketch looked at them and let out a snort. “Good luck with that.” Sketch stated. “She's not showing up.” “Why would you say that?” Starlight asked. “My sister has been in and out of my life since my mother died.” Sketch stated, quietly turning her back to the ponies in her doorway. “She hardly visits, the only time sees her is when she wants me to watch Shooting Star.” Motioning for the others to follow her to her living room, they all sat down. Starlight was curious to hear what Sketch had to say, was her sister why she was so mad? Sketch sat down on a chair. “Sea Gazer and Flare Spark will be here soon.” Golden Reader informed them. “Yeah, then we can talk!” Peace Heart added cheerfully. Out of the corner of her eye, Starlight could have sworn she saw Sketch Melody’s ears flatten, perhaps she herself was nervous about this. There was another knock at the door letting them know somepony else was there as well. Starlight trotted over to the door, as if on cue Flare Spark jumped in tackling Starlight in a hug, Sea Gazer, of course, was right behind her. “We couldn’t get Diamond Sparkle, she had something to do.” Sea Gazer said with an unimpressed look on her face. “Apparently, meeting up with a stallion for a date is more important than Sketch Melody.” “Are you serious?” Starlight asked feeling appalled at what she had heard. “She can go jump in a pig pen.” Flare Spark said. “Sketch needs us, and we need to let her know she matters!” “I can hear you out there!” Sketch called out. “Good!” Flare Spark shouted back, running into the living room and tackling her best friend out of her chair and pulling her into a bone crushing hug. “I’ve given you enough space with this, enough shutting ponies out.” “Flare Spark!” Sketch choked out in gasps. “I…..can’t….. Breathe!” “Oops…” Flare Spark said, hopping off Sketch Melody. The mint greenish unicorn sat up regaining her breath before looking att her friends and Starlight. “You guys won’t leave until you have a talk with me, am I right?” Sketch asked kinder than earlier as if she was finally done with hiding and being grumpy. Everypony nodded, taking a seat while Sketch got everyone something to drink and sat down across from all of them. After taking a vote as to who was going to start Starlight took a deep breath and collected her thoughts. “Sketch Melody.” Starlight began. “Where did all of this begin?” “So you want my story first? Very well.” Sketch replied. *a few months before last winter* Sketch was helping her father around the house, her mother was sick and couldn’t help him like she usually could. Sketch was finishing up the dishes when there was a knock at the door. Using her magic she placed the last plate in its place, trotting over to the door. “Coming!” Sketch Melody said, opening the door in front of her was her sister Diamond Sparkle. “Oh hi, Diamond Sparkle.” “Hey, kiddo!” Diamond Sparkle said walking in. “I’m just here for some bits.” “Again?!” Sketch thought to herself. This was not the first time her sister had come around asking her parents for bits, but as of late, she would only show up just for that, at first her sister would visit often to spend time with her and her family, but as time had gone on she stopped showing up as much. “Mom and dad are in the family room, right?” Diamond Sparkle said, using her wings to fly over her sister and walk into the family room. “Um yeah.” Sketch said, trailing off. After collecting bits from their parents and leaving, Sketch trotted over to their mother with a fresh glass of ice water, a soft holly green unicorn with a short light chocolate-colored mane. Her turquoise colored eyes looking at her youngest daughter. A small smile on her face, she took the cup weakly in her magic, careful not to spill it, she took a sip and set it on her side table. Over time, Sketch’s mother had gotten worse, the worse her mother got her parents began to fight, Just like before when Flannel Star lived with them, it brought back bad memories, thankfully enough Sketch had Sea Gazer and Flare Spark to distract her this time around as well as her other new friends she had made. Sadly it could not stay that way forever. *Back to the present* “What else happened?” Starlight asked, wiping her eyes with a tissue. “Ever since my mom died….. I didn’t want to bother anyone.” Sketch Melody said, her ears still down. “I know it sounds stupid, but I thought everyone else's problems were more important, that's why I locked everyone out of my life.” “Your reasons aren’t stupid,” Starlight responded. “Starlight is right.” Golden reader agreed. “How is it not stupid?” Sketch asked, looking around at them. “I was rude to everypony” “Because you’re our friend.” Peace Heart answered with a smile. “Peace Heart is right.” Golden Reader said. “Besides, no pony is perfect.” “The only thing you need to do is apologize to those you snapped at, it might take a while for them to forgive you, but they will at some point,” Starlight said walking over and putting a hoof on Sketch Melody’s shoulder. “And if you’ll allow me, I would like to help.” Sketch allowed a smile to come to her face, tears forming in her eyes as she nodded. “Don't forget us!” Flare Spark shouted with a pout. “We want to help too!” “Yeah!” Crescent moon agreed with a grin. “You’re not getting rid of us that easily.” Sea Gazer said with a snicker. “Stop it I'm gonna cry more!” Sketch laughed. After a good laugh, everyone got into a hug. “Come on!” Peace Heart said to her friends with a wide smile. “Let's go!” “Where?” Crescent chuckled. “All around Ponyville!” Peace Heart squealed. “Why not!” Sketch said with a grin looking a Starlight. “We have a new friend to show off!” “Really?” Starlight asked feeling joy fill her heart. “I’m your friend?” “Of course, you are!” Sea Gazer agreed with a grin. With that the seven of them dashed into Ponyville, To make memories, Starlight felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. After a night of having fun and Shooting off fireworks, connecting as friends and getting to know Starlight and vice versa. Sketch was walking Starlight back to the castle of friendship. “I really am sorry for how I acted.” Sketch said while they walked, kicking her left hoof into a small rock. “No no, it's ok,” Starlight said. “I’ve had my fair share of crazy.” The two shared a giggle as they walked up to the castle, smiles on their faces as the fireflies buzzed around under Princess Luna’s moonlight. Once they were at the door they stopped and looked at each other. “If you want, the girls and I planned a Spa day for tomorrow, since you are our friend now, would you like to join us?” Sketch offered. “Sure!” Starlight said with a smile. “See you girls tomorrow!” “See you tomorrow Starlight! I’ll be at the spa after I stop at Sweet Apple Acres!” Sketch replied, trotting off after Starlight made it inside. Starlight let out a yawn, she had used a lot of energy, but she learned a lesson, it's ok to have baggage, but holding it in isn't good, it takes a good group of friends to talk about it and have some pony there for you. When Starlight made it to her room she wrote her own essay for Twilight to read about what she had learned today. Once she finished the essay she climbed into bed, dreaming of the fun times and adventures she would have with her new friends Author's Note Sorry it took so long for me to put this next chapter out but its here! I hope its not too rushed and that i edited it correctly. anyway have a nice day/night everypony!!
Chapter 6: Trixie Part 1View OnlineFriendship StudyChapter 6: Trixie Part 1Flare Spark flew through the sky since her friends all had things to do, she thought she would visit Starlight Glimmer and Sketch Melody since she decided to close up shop for the day and had nothing to do. She remembered that Sketch told her about Starlight wanting them to meet a friend of hers. Hopping onto a cloud she saw Starlight along with Sketch Melody and a blue unicorn were walking together. With a grin on her face, she jumped into the air and swooped down tackling Sketch Melody and Starlight Glimmer on to the ground pulling them in for a big hug. “Flare Spark, we were just about to go see you!” Sketch said with a grin. “You were? Why?” Flare Spark said, tilting her head to the side. “Trixie here was in town and needed fireworks, and we all know who has the best fireworks!” Starlight praised with a knowing smile. “Me!” Flare Spark cheered her wings flapping with glee. “Is she… always like this?” Trixie asked, not sure about that to do next. “Yeah, but you get used to it,” Starlight assured her with a smile. "I hope so," Trixie replied, still unsure of how this would go. The four mares decided to walk to Flare Spark’s fireworks shop, Once inside Trixie was amazed at what she was seeing, Fireworks lined the many shelves and tables in the store, the walls were colorful and the atmosphere felt comfortable. She also seemed to admire the various fireworks, imagining herself using them in her act. “Amazing,” Trixie said with awe. “I know right?” Flare Spark squealed excitedly, showing Trixie around the store. "You're gonna love these Sparklers I just got in yesterday!" Starlight looked over with Sketch Melody and laughed watching Flare Spark zoom around pulling Trixie in every direction possible showing her different merchandise that had been sitting on the shelves. “You were right Starlight, it was a good idea to bring Trixie here.” Sketch said with a smile. “Perhaps she can join us all for lunch, Golden Reader agreed to do it this time.” “Sounds wonderful,” Starlight said with a smile. "You don't think it would make her too nervous do you?" Sketch questioned, not wanting to push Starlights friend. "I'm sure she'll be fine," Starlight replied with a nod. “Great!” Sketch giggled. “I’ll meet up with you guys later, Golden Reader asked me to pick up a few things.” "See you soon!" Starlight replied, watching Sketch run out the door. Starlight turned around to see how Trixie was doing with Flare Spark, Both seemed to be having a good time checking out all of the Fireworks together, Starlight was happy that Trixie was enjoying herself with Flare Spark. Deciding to join in on the fun, she trotted over as well, standing next to Trixie as she listened to Flare Spark talk. "If you want a really big eye-catching firework, you want this one!" Flare Spark exclaimed, running over to a large upright box, matching Starlights colors with her cutie mark on the front of it. "I call it Glimmering Starlight, but I'm still working on the name." "I'm guessing you got the inspiration from Starlight Glimmer," Trixie commented with a chuckle. "Yep!" Flare Spark replied with a smile. "I've been thinking for a while about my latest fireworks, and I decided to make some based off my friends!" "That's a great idea Flare Spark." Starlight agreed. "Thanks, Starlight." Flare Spark said with a smile. "The amazing Trixie would like to know if you also make smoke bombs to match my colors," Trixie commented, giving Flare Spark inspiration. "Nope, but I'll be giving that a shot!" Flare Spark said, jotting down the notes in a notebook on at the counter where the cash register was. "I've always wanted the experiment with smoke bombs so this gives me a great excuse!" "I'm glad I could help?" Trixie questioned with a smile. After a few hours at the fireworks shop, Trixie and Starlight decided to leave so Flare Spark could get to work on the smoke bombs Trixie inspired her to make as well as getting together the fireworks Trixie had also purchased. Thier next stop was to see how Golden Reader was doing with lunch preparations, and Sea Gazer was going to help her with getting a few items and bringing some sweets from Sweet Apple Acres. The two unicorns soon made it to a yellow house with a brown roof and a chimney sticking out from the side of it, it didn;t take long for the two of them make it inside. once in the side, Trixie and Starlight looked around. Golden Reader's house was warm and inviting, posters of her favorite comic book and book characters pinned to the wall. pictures of her friends and Family decorating the walls as well. The living room they could see from where the front door, had bean bag chairs and couches for everyone to sit in, including two new chairs. Starlight had a feeling that this would be for her and Trixie. In the middle of those chairs was a coffee table, books and a music box sitting in the middle of it, and in the corner was a weaved basket with a sleeping kitten resting inside of it. Looking over to their left they could see Golden Reader at the stove, making a soup that smelled delicious. Sea Gazer was at the counter, cutting veggies next to a plate of Sandwiches, she happened to glance at the doorway, her body half hidden by the counter as she waved over to the two unicorn mares at the door. "Hey, Star!" Sea Gazer called out to Starlight from the counter her body half hidden from Trixie's line of sight. "Hi, Starlight!" Golden reader greeted, trotting over from the stove and spotting Trixie. "Is this your friend you told us about?" "Yup!" Starlight said, gestured a hoof at Trixie. "This is Trixie." "Nice to meet you, Trixie!" Golden Reader said, taking Trixie's hoof and shaking it with a big smile. "Nice to meet you," Trixie said as Sea Gazer came over, her eyes widening. "You have bat wings!" "Yeah, I'm a bat pony." Sea Gazer replied, looking at the anxious unicorn. "Don't worry, I don't work for Princess Luna or anything." "You don't?" Trixie asked, her laxity turning into curiosity. "What do you do?" Seeing Trixie was more relaxed, gave Starlight comforting feeling that her friend was ok and hoping for her to get equated with her friends. She adored the idea of all of them getting along, imagining all of the things they could do and the adventures they could have all together. "I'm a pirate!" Sea Gazer exclaimed with a grin, catching Trixie's eyes widening with wonder. "Sea Gazer has all kinds of Stories, She can tell you at lunch!" Golden Reader said. "She's even had Sketch help her publish a few books filled with her stories." "I like that," Trixie replied, a grin on her lips. "Perhaps I can do magic for you all!" "Really?" Golden Reader asked, her eyes sparkling with glee. "That would be amazing!" "Then it's settled." Starlight agreed. "I'll help Trixie get ready and we'll all meet back here at lunch time." "I'll let the others know." Sea Gazer said. "I've done all I can here so, I might as well do that and give my wings a good stretch." With that settled, The Four mares went on with what they had planned for that afternoon. Author's Note Here's the next chapter Sorry it took so long have a good day/night! :3

Chapter One: Starlight's First Task FoundView OnlineFriendship StudyChapter One: Starlight's First Task FoundChapter One: Starlight's First Task Found! It was a beautiful day in Equestria, Celestia’s golden sun was shining bright over everypony, birds singing songs, school ponies playing without a care in the world. Starlight was walking through the town of Ponyville. She has stayed at Twilight's castle ever since she started to learn about friendship from the princess of friendship herself. Her latest task was to look for somepony who needed a friend a task she gladly accepted. Starlight was hoping to succeed and make her teacher proud of her, this helped her keep going as she had been looking all day for some pony to help, Starlight was about to throw in the towel for the day when she hear a shout. Wondering what had happened she trotted to the sound of anger spotting an almost mint green colored unicorn was arguing with Applejack. "You should have kept an eye on your sister!" The mare shouted. "I have no time for interruptions!" "I'm sorry she bugged ya!" AJ apologized while getting the stink eye from the mint greenish unicorn. The mare let out an annoyed snort before walking away, stress clear on her face. Before she left her eyes met with Starlights, there was something that she couldn't put her hoof on. what could it be? "Hey Applejack, are you ok?" Starlight asked making her way over to the orange earth pony. "Yeah I'm fine." AJ responded looking over at Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell. "Apple Bloom broke Sketch Melody's window while she was working on something. "Sketch Melody?" Starlight asked confused. "Her older sister works with Derpy at the post office." AJ answered. "Diamond Sparkle I think." Starlight thought to herself for a moment before deciding to ask more about Sketch Melody she didn't want to come off as a stalker the questions were burning in her mind. "Has she ever acted like this before?" Starlight asked putting her lessons with Twilight to good use along with her curiosity. "No not really." AJ said with a sad look. "I think losing her mom might have something to with it. "Losing her mother?" Starlight asked with shock and concern. "Yeah, her name was Sparkle Heart, she was a great unicorn, she helped on farm with the finances and what not." AJ replied a small frown. "She got really sick last winter and the rest was history, it's too bad really... she was a really sweet pony." Starlight felt horrible she felt like she needed to help her, her heart aches for this poor mare she didn't even know right there she knew she wanted to help. "Where does she live?" Starlight asked determination clear on her face.“I’d like to go see her.” “Sure thing sugarcube!” Applejack replied. Once she got directions to Sketch Melody's house she didn't hesitate to make her way over. Once she got there she saw a tall house the same color as Sketch’s fur. She trotted over and knocked on the door. There was no reply so she knocked again this time the door opened slowly revealing the mint green unicorn with bags under her eyes. "Sketch Melody?" Starlight asked with a smile. "Yes, what do you want?" She asked dryly. "I'm Starlight Glimmer." She introduced. "I--" "You're Princess Twilight's new student, everypony knows." She stated as if it were a fact but annoyed at the same time. "Now do you need something, I'm backed up on an order for Fancy Pants and I can't afford to lose time." "Understandable, maybe the task would go faster if you had friends to help you." Starlight suggested offering a kind smile. "My friends are busy." She stated. "I'm not gonna waste their time with my problems, to be frank I don't need friends." "Well--" "Listen, I'm not wasting my time on this! Come back if you have something you need made or performed." Sketch snapped cutting Starlight off mid sentence causing her eyes to widen. With that Sketch Melody closed the door in Starlights face. She felt slightly annoyed but she took a deep breath like Twilight had taught her. Questions settled on her mind, mix feelings as well as she exhaled. She felt bad seeing Sketch Melody looking so stressed, but there had to be more to why she was so backed up right? Besides her mother and her friends and she was going to find out. With that last thought she left to the castle to see if Twilight could help her out with this problem. Author's Note Here's the First chapter! :3 Hope you all like it!
