"Shimmer..Sunset! Whats gotten into you? You haven't been right since our last mission in Manehatten!" She both asked and told me angrily but not angry that she wanted to hurt me. Angry because she felt left out. Angry because she couldn't help. Angry that she was losing her best friend...
"Jack...I-" I started but was cut off by the door of the VTOL opening,a blinding light shining through before finally fading and showing a shorter woman standing there with her arms behind her back and a straight posture. Rainbow Dash. She was the head of the Winslow Accord and my commanding officer. She looked to me then Applejack and did this a few times before clearing her throat and speaking up.
"Am I interuptting something?"
"Not at all." I said firmly after Applejack had let go of my hands and placed her own by her side,looking away from me and to Rainbow.
So thats what it felt like when I kept doing it to her. "Go and check on her,Shimmer. We don't need her to lose focus on the objective." Rainbow said with slight annoyence in her tone before she walked out of my line of sight. I blinked before letting out a breath I hadn't even known I was holding which also caused me to cough a little afterwards,groaning I grabbed my bag and walked out into the stronghold that the Winslow Accord both worked and lived in. I walked into Applejack and I's shared room and saw her laying with her back to me on her bed.
"Applejack. Whats wrong with you?" I asked before sitting on her bed,placing a hand on her arm. I saw her flitch a little and that was when I ran my hand down her arm and to her stomach which caused her to shutter slightly. She finally turned to look at me before flipping me over and pinning me to the bed,leaning down and kissing my neck teasingly. Did I forget to mention we also have casual sex sometimes? "Jack. Shimmer. This is Rarity Belle and Twilight Sparkle. Shimmer you will be training Sparkle in field work if she's needed out there and Jack you'll be going the same with Belle here," Rainbow explained,snapping me back to attention thought I still glanced to Sparkle...Twilight every so often until Rainbow left the room. I let my shoulders relax and put my hands by my side before walking up to Twilight and extending my hand out to her.
"Hey. My names Sunset Shimmer but feel free to call me Sunset unless we're on the field then Shimmer," I spoke in a gentle tone so she didn't feel scared or threatened by me. I mean the point is I am meant to be scary but thats only to my enemies not to this....beauty.
"H-hi," Twilight had stuttered in responce,taking my hand and shaking it gently.
Poor girl was nervous. Really nervous and why wouldn't she be? This is the Winslow Accord. We work for the CIA and are the most feared group in the world...Well...besides the 54 Immortals but they are nothing compared to us. I had to help her relax or training her was going to prove difficult.
"How about we go to the shooting range? Its a nice start," I offered which earned a nod of her head in responce. I looked behind me to wave goodbye to Applejack but saw that she has already hit it off with Rarity. I smiled to myself slightly and left the main hall with Twilight,leading her to the shooting range. I glanced down at her and raised an eyebrow as she grabbed ahold of my hand. I failed to mention that it made my face turn red and look away. I think she must of got the wrong idea because she slipped her hand out of mine and twiddled with her thumbs.
" I'm s-sorry. I'm just a l-little nervous..." She said quietly. Her voice was cracking..like she was going to break down at anytime.
I frowned and took her hand again which cause her to look up at me with a shocked expression. I squeezed it softly and just spoke gently.

"Sunset..we're here," Twilight spoke up which snapped me out my thoughts. I look at the targets and then at the rack of guns before turning to her "Pick a gun,"
I watched Twilight's hand hover over different types of guns. Light machine guns,pistols,shotguns but she finally rested on a Sniper rifle. I tried not to laugh as I watched her stumbled over the sniper and hold it backwards. I decided to finally step in,taking the rifle from her hands and stepping behind her as wrapped my arms around her from behind. I helped her hold the sniper right and guided her hands to wear the belong on the gun. I turned to look at her as she did with me,our faces inches apart.

I felt like I was staring at her for hours but I never wanted to stop,her enchanting purple eyes sucking me into a timeless void that I never wanted to escape from. What was I-
"Sunset! Twilight!" A voice called from down the hall,the internoir causing it to echo all around like a microphone.
Damn it! I quickly managed to regain my compsure and stood up striaght to look presentable. I took a quick second to glance at Twilight who look dissapointed. Wait? Dissapointed that I let go? No...no thats can't be right...can it? I shot my head in the direction the voice came from to see Rainbow walk in and look at me with worry,concern and fear.
"I'm afriad we have a problem. The 54 Immortals are planning to release infomation on a public server that will bring the whole of the CIA and Winslow Accord to its knees. We can't let this happen." Rainbow spoke boldly although her voice was cracking a little. "Sunset. I need you and Applejack to travel to Canterlot and stop the 54i from releasing this infomation. Twilight. Since you have experiance with hacking I will keep you behind in HQ,"
"Understood," I simplely replied,picking up my signature assualt rifle and shot one last glance to Twilight who returned a worried look before I set off down the hall. Why would she be worried? I mean sure we work for the same ops but...she barley knows me. I pulled myself out of my train of thought and walked outside to where Applejack was waiting by the VTOL,walking inside the hanger for it and sitting down.

"Worried?" Applejack spoke up finally after about an hour of silence between us.
I looked up at her and although her face showed no sign of worry her green eyes had darkened. Shes not worried. She is scared. I smiled to myself first before finally responding with a smirk on my face
"Not a chance," I responded with fake confidence but it worked as it managed to pull a smile from Applejack but our friendly moment was cut short when the VTOL had landed in Canterlot. Well. It was now or never. I prepared myself and started to walk out as the VTOL door began to open,the light blinding me momentaryly before I ran forward,Applejack close behind,into the Canterlescence building. Making sure not to set off any alarms or attract unwanted attention Applejack handed me suppressed sniper and I made quick work of the overwatch while she took care of the rest of the ground team.
"Sparkle. Where is the main server room?" I said quietly into my earpiece,my back against a wall so I could scope out the area around the corner.
"Top floor. I suggest going to elevator on the other side of hanger but be careful there is heavily 54i presence in there," Twilight responded through our Comlink.
This had been the first time I had heard speak with confidence. It was kind of...sexy. Okay no not the time. Can't be thinking about her like that now.
"Roger that. Thanks Sparky," I responded,throwing a new nickname in there and before she cut off I swear I heard her giggle. I shook it off and gave Applejack the signal before we both made the whole room look like modern art. I picked up a dead guard,using his hand on the scan before dropping him and entering the elevator with Applejack before the door finally closed and we started our journey to the top floor. I would never admit I was nervous but I was,making my feelings and gut unstable.
Once we arrived on the top floor we ran out and over to the control panel,trying everything we could to stop the data from spreading worldwide. I then heard a creak and my heart almost stopped.

That voice...I-I know that voice. I didn't want to turn around but I knew I had to. I turned around slowly and what I saw confirmed my suspicions.

I watched the bullet leave my gun after aiming it at my target. It felt like everything was in slowmotion until bullet hit its target. The blood splattered all over me before what was left became a puddle at my feet,pooling around and running down the dirty,unfinished steet. All I could do was stand still and watch the light leave the eyes of my enemy while the newly formed rain ran down my face but I didn't care. I find it soothing in a sense...I-
"Shimmer?" A voice behind me questioned loudly and boldly
I turned around and looked down at my ally. Applejack. She was the second best solider in the whole of the Winslow Accord and my bestfriend outside of work although that was hardly ever nower days. "Jack? What is it?" I asked curiously,my eyes occationally shifting to the body next to my feet.
"We...we have to get back to HQ. Back to Equestria," She replied very softly,noticing my gaze and approching me before slipping a hand to my shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze.
I shot her a small smile although she could see it was fake. I don't think I've smiled properly in a while and why should I? All I do is kill for a living. Many people think I'm being selfish,saying how lonely and depressed I am. Sure I may be the top solider in the Winslow Accord but this also means I get sent on the worse missions. I can't go a night without hearing screaming and people begging for mercy. Its sickening! I'm....I'm sickening...
"Roger that," I respond quietly after a good minute of silence,walking out of her shoulder touch and to our transport without even a glance back at her. I don't even have to look at her to know shes hurt. Hurt that I just brush her off like that but I can't drag her down with me. Its not fair its just...stupid...
