A rather tall draconequus-pony hybrid made his way over to the young filly.  He tucked his pale yellow wings close to his back. "Yes Kind Heart?"he asked. "Can you tell me a story?"she asked sweetly. "I'm bored and you know some really good stories."she added. The young hybrid smiled kindly toward his daughter. "Alright." he carefully sat down on her bed, wrapping his long navy blue dragons tail around his waist.  "What story would you like me to tell?" "How about the one with Celestia going crazy."Kind Heart answered, her baby blue eyes reflecting her eagerness to her father. The young hybrid hesitated slightly. "Really?....Are you sure you want that story...?"he asked slowly. "I could tell you a much happier story for you." Kind Heart shook her head, the multi colored curls bouncing slightly from the motion. The hybrid sighed in defeat. "Alright...I'll tell you, but don't you dare tell your mother I told you this. Promise?"he replied. Kind Heart smiled, her eyes beaming happily. "I promise daddy."she answered. He nodded softly. "Well it all began thousands of years, well after five of the element bearers had passed on to the afterlife...Princess Celestia grew envious of her subjects giving more attention to the other Princesses, including her own sister Luna and former student, Twilight Sparkle...She tried to bury those feelings bey busying herself in her work...That seemed to be working until she overheard some ponies talking about how great Luna would be as a solo ruler. That only ate away at her even more on the inside till there was nothing remaining of the dear Celestia everypony knew...It got worse on the day she finally cracked..   ~   Luna felt an uncomfortable feeling in her chest as she headed toward her sister's chambers. She had noticed lately how cold her sister acted around her, Cadence, Twilight or young Flurry Heart. She used her magic to slowly crack open the door, just enough for her to squeeze her head in. "Tia?...Sister?...Are you alright?.." her teal eyes widened she saw what her sister had become. Her once beautiful multi colored mane was now replaced with fiery wisps of orange and yellow. Her eyes still purple, but lighter with the pupils formed into slits like a serpent. Even her cutie mark had a dark circle in the center of the sun. "Tia......What have you done....?"Luna stammered out. "Tia? Oh dear Luna, there is no Tia anymore..."she answered coldly,"There is only Solar Eclipse!" She raised her hooves and smashed them down on the floor, causing it to crack slightly underneath her. Her eyes flared brightly like her mane. Luna ears pinned back. "Sister....how could you?.....What would Twilight and the others think of what has become of you...?" Solar Eclipse merely rolled her eyes. "What they think of me does not matter anymore." her horn flared lightly. "Not when I'll be the sole ruler of Equastria once more." Luna then snarled. "That shall not happen..Not while I still stand." Luna flew up so she could take a good shot at her sister...or...what used to be her sister before she blasted her magic down at her. Solar Eclipse smirked. "You think you can take me?" She returned fires, both alicorns' beams colliding. It didn't take long for Solar Eclipse's magic to over power Luna's and engulf the dark blue alicorn. Once the light had faded, only a dark colored orb with Luna's cutie mark remained. Solar Eclipse levitated the orb with her magic and placed it on a mantle. "Oh Luna...How mistaken you were to challenge me." She turned her attention to the balcony and slowly walked outside. Her purple eyes gazed toward the sun, Her horn flared once more and she changed the sun to where it was a deep red solar eclipse. "Now...the sun shall be the sole ruler of Equastria!" ~ Meanwhile in the Crystal Empire, Twilight was having tea with Cadence and Flurry Heart when she spotted the solar eclipse out from the window. At first she thought that Luna had changed back to Nightmare Moon and wanted eternal night, but then noticed how was still daytime, but only with a dark tint of red to everything. She then shuddered when she realized that it was not Luna that had snapped....but her dear mentor and friend...Princess Celestia. Cadence noticed her sister-in-law shudder and the pink alicorn frowned lightly. "Twilight...what's wrong?"she asked. Twilight turned back to look at Cadence. "I fear that...Celestia is not in the right state of mind anymore....Just look outside to see for yourself."she answered. Cadence's lavender eyes widened. "No..." Flurry Heart's eyes widened as well when she heard this information. "But why...? We all love Celestia...Why would she turn on us?...Turn on her own sister even...''The young alicorn stammered out. Twilight sighed heavily. "Same can be applied to when Luna became Nightmare Moon...She was just fuled by so much hatred and jealously that she became consumed by it." "But why would Celestia feel like that?..I don't understand..."Flurry Heart frowned softly. Cadence wrapped one wing around her daughter. "Maybe something had been bothering her and we just never noticed.."she said softly. Twilight stood up abruptly. "Well whatever it is...we have to save her from her madness before Equastria pays the price." Cadence nodded and she stood up as well. "It's a shame that Discord left years ago with his son after Fluttershy passed...he would be of great help to us." Twilight sighed. "I know, but we promised we'd respect his wishes and not go after him." Flurry Heart stood up. "So, what's our plan?" "Well for starters, you're staying put Flurry Heart. Someone needs to watch over the Empire if something bad happens to either me or Cadence."Twilight told her. "WHat?! But I want to help too!"Flurry Heart exclaimed. Cadence shook her head. "No Flurry. You must stay here."she said sternly. "But....." "Your mother is right Flurry Heart, you must stay here. If something bad happens to either of us then the citizens of Equastria will be doomed to tyranny."Twilight interrupted. Flurry Heart hung her head in defeat. "Alright....I'll stay.."she answered softly. Twilight and Cadence both nodded their heads. The three alicorns shared their goodbyes before Twilight and Cadence teleported to Canterlot. Flurry Heart paced back and forth, waiting for what seemed to her as an eternity for her mother and aunt to return. When she was about ready to reside herself to her chambers, a guard rushed over to her with a letter. "Princess! A message from Canterlot has arrived for you!" Flurry Heart levitated the letter and opened it slowly. Dear Flurry Heart, You are hereby relinquished of your princess title and are to come to Canterlot and surrender to your new Empress. Failure to follow this order will result in the destruction of you and those who you care for. ~Sincerely, Empress Solar Eclipse Flurry Heart nearly choked up with tears at the last bit. This letter only confirmed to her that her mother and aunt had failed...and now she was the only pony strong enough to handle Celestia or well..Solar Eclipse. The guard looked at her worriedly. "Princess...? What do you plan to do?"he asked. Flurry Heart closed her eyes and took a shuddering breath to try and calm herself down. "I'm going to need to leave the Empire for some time..."she answered. She began to walk off to back a few things. "But..where will you go?.."he asked. Flurry Heart paused for a moment. "I'm going to find Discord..I know he doesn't want to return to Equastria...but we need his help..." She looked out the window and toward the sky. "And we need his help badly.."
