Love is a very mysterious thing; it's something that no one can really wrap their heads around. There's that whole thing about how "opposites attract" and what not, but sometimes, there are those that tend to question why they fell in-love with that pony. Vinyl Scratch is one such pony. She is a well-renowned DJ with a taste for the nightlife. She doesn't exactly have the highest degree or the most awards and titles, but she is smart, street-smart, and knows music almost better than anyone. She's cocky, she's confident, and she doesn't take shit from anypony. However, she has somehow won the heart of Octavia Melody, a sophisticated cellist with one of the highest degrees in music and one of the best string musicians in Equestria. Vinyl had no idea how she was lucky enough to end up with a mare like her, but she did. And even after waking her up in the middle of the night after coming home drunk, she still puts up with her. The following morning, she asks Octavia why she even bothers to stay with her. She gets her answer, and Vinyl decides to do something special for her marefriend.
