An adolescent Spike goes into his first breeding season, and finds he is being called by the new Dragon Lady Ember as soon as he does to make matters even worse. Spike then goes on a journey back to the dragon lands after being called by the Dragon Lord…and quickly learns that dragon mating rituals are not quite like those of ponies…

I've been wanting to write a Spike x dragon story for a while now (was originally considering Spike x R64 counterpart), but the newest episode (season 6 ep 5) made me want to write this ship instead, given new inspiration. I like this ship.
