Above her and below her there were stalagmites and stalactites everywhere, only ceasing to exist in a little path to the lake. There was no sign of anypony, except for a little box and a desk on the left of the couple. “Pay here, 20 bits for an hour” it said on the box, and Luna chuckled. Vinyl put 20 bits in the little box, and began to walk toward the lake, but Luna smiled and dumped 200 in. She had a feeling that they were not going to be there for only an hour.
Luna began to gallop toward the lake; she loved the feeling of the cool cave air and the sand underneath her feet. Vinyl caught up with her, and they exchanged a kiss before they waded in. “Baby, this is JUST incredible.” Luna smiled and kissed him once more, this time adding a nibble to the ear. She dipped her hoof into to water to test it, and she gasped at how warm it was. Steam was pouring from the sides, and she squealed in excitement. “Is this a hot spring?” Luna questioned. Vinyl nodded, clearly joyed at Luna’s reaction to the place. Luna laughed and hugged him close. Luna smiled. “Now..” She looked down. “This little kitty is getting lonely.” Vinyl laughed and swam down deeper, into an underwater cave. I am Aurora Tides, Queen of the sea ponies.” She laughed and dashed toward them with a flick of her tail. “I know it sounds a bit clique and all, but really. It is a pleasure to meet the very one who makes our tides turn.” Luna cocked her head a bit, and she remembered the moon’s effect on their home. “It is an honor to meet YOU, Aurora. Your beautiful home has mesmerized me from the start... and my new-found ability to breathe underwater is a nice touch!” Luna chuckled, and she floated up and brushed the sand off. “I’m sorry I interrupted your.. Loving..” Aurora said, looking around awkwardly. Luna shook her head and smiled. “No, it is YOUR domain.” Aurora smiled and swam off, not wanting to finish the conversation because she knew that the ponies wanted to be with each other, alone. The pair met eyes and began to make love.
Things were like this for the next few months, Vinyl asking Luna to go somewhere special.. And following it up with somewhere incredible. Only her faithful butler, Wentzler, who informed us of her whereabouts. “I believe she is in the courtyard, setting another one of those wounded animals free...” Wentzler then held up a bag of some sort of bird’s droppings up in disgust. Vinyl grinned and poked it with his hoof, and laughed, motioning to the courtyard and to leave the butler “To his DUTIES” Vinyl joked, which was rewarded with a playful shove from Luna. They galloped off, not wasting another second.
They found the Princess patting a little blue jay on the wings and whispering in the little bird’s ear, which it responded with a cheerful “Chirp!” The Princess Giggled and scooted the bird forward, it finally persuaded to fly, and it taking off into the crisp morning air.
With that over, a cheery Princess turned and faced the couple, and calmed her expressions. Already knowing they were in love by the looks they shared with one another, The Princess’s knowing eyes became wide with disbelief. The Princess shuddered. “What...You guys.... I...AH!” Luna and Vinyl’s ears flicked back in surprise, and they giggled uncontrollably as they embraced the loving hug from the Princess. They had said not ONE word and the Princess was overjoyed. “Maybe hanging out with her more would make me a better person!” Vinyl thought.
The Princess was definitely accepting these two romancers. Luna’s guess was that the rest of Equestria would too! Out of her ecstatic state, the Princess lowered her voice and motioned to speak with Vinyl privately.
Waiting was agonizing. What was the princess saying? What was she talking about? Our future? Or maybe she wants it to be our past...

Vinyl sighed and crossed his hooves. “Luna... when I first saw you it was like the universe forcing me toward you. This may seem a bit rushed, but I love you Luna, and no one could ever deny my right to do that. To be in love with the most beautiful mare in the entire world.” Luna blushed and looked deep into Vinyl’s eyes, loving him more and more, realizing she DID want him as her soul mate. She LOVED him. Luna smiled and glanced at Princess, who gave her a sly wink and beckoned her on, and she returned her loving gaze to Vinyl, who was already down on one knee, his eyes almost melting her like that first night...
“Princess Luna, I love you with all my heart and I wish to hold you close to my heart for all eternity... Will you marry me?”

No wedding comes without preparation, and preparation does not come without stress, so needless to say, weddings are a direct link to stress. But, OH! the elegance and fantasy of it all. Luna gathered a group of her friends from Ponyville that she had kept in touch with ever since the most recent Nightmare Night, and they set off to find her the perfect wedding dress. Twilight Sparkle was the only pony that she had originally invited, but she had permission to bring a few friends. Pinkie Pie and Applejack were busy, and Rainbow Dash was just not interested, because it WAS dress shopping and only for EGGHEADS! So Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle and Luna headed to the fanciest dress shop in Canterlot, Queen Juju’s Boutique, where Luna proceeded to try on a number of white dresses. Each one was “too big”, “too showy”, “too simple”, “too much” or just plain “NO.” After the 16th dress,(I seemed like 16,000) Luna broke down. She looked up at Rarity (the obvious expert) and sighed, “I just can’t find THE dress.” Rarity smiled down at Luna, twinkles in her eyes.
“Your Majesty...” She started, “It would be a privilege, No! An HONOR to see to it that this dress both exceeds your expectations and makes Vinyl Scratch fall over at the sight of your beauty on your special day.”
Luna grinned, looking slightly tired after 16 dresses, but relief sprung into her worry-stained eyes, “Thank you, Rarity. Thank you.” And with that, Rarity set off to make the perfect dress. Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle chuckled and walked to the train station to get back to Ponyville, waving goodbyes and “see you son’s to their friend.
As soon as Rarity arrived at her house, she got to work. She had so many ideas, but as soon as she sat down to draw the outline... they were gone! Rarity moaned with disbelief. Had she really just agreed to (more like begged to) make the perfect dress for a royal wedding in Canterlot? She sighed and began brainstorming. Luna’s dress could not be too showy, big, simple, or too much. It had to fit her personality. “Hm.”, Rarity thought as an idea came to mind. Luna’s personality was dark, yet beautiful, mysterious, yet somehow... breathtaking. Rarity began sketching immediately. She had the perfect idea... black, white, midnight blue, sparkly silver, and just a hint of lace around the edges. Rarity began to bring her pen to her drawing paper, letting these thoughts of Luna flow into the paper. Fabrics, Lace, And the perfect fit were all that mattered in her small Canterlot apartment. Not even the constant meowing of Opal could distract her from her goal. She drew and sketched until her front hooves were so tired she just had to stop. And then she took another look at it, and she realized how perfect it was. So she used all her might to levitate a mannequin over to the table for the day. On her way to bed, she said goodnight to Opal, and muttered a sorry to the poor cat after Rarity had stepped on her tail. Rarity slunk down beneath the covers, ready for the hard, stressful work to come. She had forgotten to feed Opal, but she thought that she would just do it in the morning.
Meanwhile, Vinyl had no trouble picking out the perfect tuxedo, because, after all, he was very easy-going and not hard to please. It was traditional; yet fit his jazzy personality perfectly, with a tail coming from the jacket and a bow tie instead of a normal tie. A couple of Vinyl’s friends had thrown a bachelor’s party, with (from special request from Vinyl) nothing inappropriate jumping out of the cake to take its clothes off and dance. It had been a small get-together to discuss old memories, rather than a big sleazy booze-fest (definitely more of Vinyl’s style.)
Originally, the music was going to be Vinyl’s buddies DJing, but as it was a wedding, Fluttershy took over the music with her band of birds. She had no problem at all, as she had done this before, with teaching the birds a few of Luna’s favorite spooky, mysterious songs, daintily intermixed with a collection of Flutter shy’s quiet yet powerful bird altos. As Fluttershy was busily preparing her birds, Twilight Sparkle and Applejack (with a little help from Rainbow Dash to get to the high places) began decorating the dazzling scenery with gold and silver bells, sparkly, sequined ribbons, and many varieties of matching flowers. Big Macintosh came over to help push and pull the heavier objects. They began to form an assembly line to pass the ribbons and bells along. Big Mac would push the boxes over to Applejack, who would push them over (to let the contents spill out.) Then, Twilight Sparkle would levitate the contents of the boxes to Rainbow Dash’s level, so that they could be hung or placed in the higher areas. This assembly line worked with undivided attention toward the goal, this was their second royal wedding and the elements of harmony were just too fresh in their minds for another quest...
Rarity woke up to sunlight streaming in through the narrow windows, draped in white, lacy curtains. She yawned and stretched out her hooves, ready to work! The young, beautiful unicorn leapt to her hooves and trotted over to her work desk where she had left the sketch the night before. Opal meowed on the floor, her stomach rumbling and gurgling, longing and hungry for food. Rarity smiled, wiped the sleep from her eyes, and looked around the room, trying to remember where she had placed the cat food. She shrugged, as she found none, and looked back at her sketch.
“NOOOOOOO!” She screamed, staring at the torn-up, slobbery mess that was once her beautiful dress’s outline. Eyes ablaze, she turned to the one and only culprit, who was so hungry that she had EATEN Rarity’s wedding dress sketch, and screamed, “OPAL! HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING TO ME? WHY?!” She began shouting, yelling, and screaming at the poor cat (who had no idea what she had done), going on and on about how it was the perfect dress and she had to do it all over now. Opal merely yawned and stretched out on the floor, as her stomach ached for food. Rarity was suddenly slapped back into reality. It was her fault for not feeding Opal! The poor, hungry feline didn’t know any better! Hot, salty tears ran viciously down the unicorn’s pearly white skin until she realized she had to get back to work. She could kind of remember how the dress looked, so she began to draw and sketch again, but first, she found the cat food in the corner of her small Canterlot apartment and dished some out (which was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed immediately by Opal.) Rarity hugged her cat after Opal had finished, and apologized multiple times before getting back to sketching. There was A LOT of work to do...
All throughout Ponyville, ponies were busily going about their lives, in a hurried excitement to put together a proper Ponyville display of celebration, as the Bride and Groom were coming this way for a part of their honeymoon to greet the ponies and for the ponies to meet their new Prince. Butt one especially pink pony by the name of Pinkie Pie was on a mission! An imperative order from Twilight herself to get the perfect wedding cake for the royal couple and some treats as well. (Also, she was going t give her a surprise! she was going to get some refreshments for Twilight!). The excited, happy ball of giggles hopped up and down all down the street until she reached Sugarcube Corner. When she entered, the Cakes grinned, as if they already knew of the special request for the royal wedding cake. Pinkie Pie leaned closer and whispered in a scratchy voice: “Come HERE!” The Cakes creeped over and leaned in close, knowing that this crazy filly was NOT making a joke. Pinkie Pie made sure that nopony was listening, looking side to side wildly, searching for an uninvited listener. When it was certain nopony was in the room except for Mr. and Mrs. Cake, she began whispering the secretive order to them both. The Cakes were delighted by the request and nodding their head excitedly, and got to work instantly, pouring this and that, mixing those, beating these, and Pinkie Pie hopped out of the shop, patting herself on the back for a job well done.
“Now for the refreshments and treats!” She thought out loud. Sweet Apple Acres was her next destination as she bounced and giggled through the town. Applejack was sweating and so tired she almost had fallen over from decorating the wedding place in Canterlot. She had just returned to Sweet Apple Acres with Big Mac and was about to take a well-deserved nap, when Pinkie Pie leaped through the door.
“APPLEJACK!” She screeched so loud that the barn shook, “I NEED APPLE-ICIOUS DESSERTS, A-S-A-P!” Applejack sighed sluggishly, and dragged herself over to Pinkie Pie, barely awake, slowly nodded, and gathered the Apple family to start picking and baking. Granny Smith wobbled and hobbled around, getting the recipes ready, while Apple Bloom, Applejack, and Big Macintosh all gathered the apples. Pinkie Pie smiled and bounced back to her house to get some rest after completing her task.
Back in Canterlot, Twilight Sparkle stared at the decorations placed around the gorgeous garden. It was almost perfect... but she couldn’t figure out what she needed to complete the scenery.
Rainbow Dash had speedily hung the ribbons so that they gracefully draped downward in a little loop before coming back up, ready for the next downward loop. Big Mac had pushed all of the heavy tables into place, all ready for the reception, and he had also hauled the church pews into two perfect lines. In the middle of the lines, Applejack had rolled out a long, narrow rug to emphasize the aisle space. It was midnight blue, with white lace trim and white roses lining the outside. But, there was something missing...
“What could it be?” groaned Twilight, obviously frustrated. She sighed and repeated what had been done many times. Step by step, she went through the wedding schedule, trying to solve the mystery for the millionth time. The birds would start to sing, all heads would be turned towards the back, where Luna would emerge wearing her beautiful gown yet to be made by Rarity. She would walk down the aisle until the end, where she would stand with Vinyl and. WAIT! They needed something to stand under, of course! With the help of Rainbow Dash, flying close behind, she placed an arch at the end of the rug. And as Rainbow Dash threaded black lace and silver ribbon through the white arch, Twilight Sparkle knew that even the smallest thing could throw this wild wedding train off the rails, and she truly hoped that nothing would.
Things were finally starting to come together around Equestria! Twilight Sparkle had made a checklist, and had Pinkie Pie read it to her. “Scenery?” Pinkie Pie questioned. “Check!” Twilight replied. “Decorations?” “Check!” “Cake?” “Check!” “Refreshments?” “Check!” “Dress?” At that moment, Rarity walked up. “Check...” She moaned, her eyes sleepy, bordered with dark circles. She had obviously not slept in a while, or at least that night. Talk about your beauty sleep. No one did BUT Rarity! Twilight and Pinkie blinked at her, looking the usually gorgeous, ‘not a hair out of place’ unicorn over, before coughing awkwardly and getting back to the checklist. “Tuxedo?” “Check!” “Rings?” “Oh no.” Twilight almost fainted. She had forgotten about the rings.
Vinyl was alerted immediately and sent to find his perfect Luna the perfect ring. He saw small rings, large rings, shiny rings, simple rings, and even a doughnut ring. What kind of shop is this? He thought, thinking that no place as grand as it claimed would not have a ring for his Luna. They were all pretty...Vinyl admired the sparkling display case with awe and smiled. But none of them were Luna. He asked Rainbow Dash to accompany him, Begging on his knees to the cyan Pegasus for her advice and company. She normally would have stamped her hooves and insulted him, but she saw how stressed he was and she made an exception. “Only this once,” she eyed him and smiled, happy to accompany her favorite DJ anywhere. Although Rainbow Dash and Luna were not the best of friends, Rainbow Dash understood that Luna did not simply want a traditional band with a small diamond on top. Rainbow dash had felt the same way. She would rather have had a wonderbolt’s costume than a dumb old ring! But she knew it had to represent Luna enough so that anyone who saw the ring would know it was Luna’s. Dark, mysterious, and definitely AWESOME! They searched all day through shops in Canterlot, and found nothing. Vinyl was more tired and defeated by the end of the day than he had ever been in his life! Remembering an old reliable jeweler's shop in her hometown, Rainbow nodded towards the not-so far off friendship express. “Want to go?” Vinyl nodded hesitantly and tilted his head uncertainly while Rainbow dragged him on the next train to Ponyville. They waited on the train for a few hours to reach their destination, and Vinyl’s head was swimming with possible problems. What if we can’t find the right ring? Will Luna be disappointed at the one we choose? Vinyl face hoofed him and sighed. When they finally arrived, the group trudged over to the jeweler’s store and peered through the display case. Fatigue began to set in from inspecting rings all day, and they were just about ready to give up and get some random simplistic ring when the owner of the store saw them looking and smiled.
“Are you kids looking for...”? He stopped, looked around in the empty store before lowering his voice to a whisper and said, “the princess’ ring?” The two ponies nodded at the kind old pony. He grinned and waved them into the back room with a flick of his tail. Vinyl and Rainbow Dash were (despite their sluggishness before) eager to see what the pony had in store. He led them to the farthest back room, which was very cramped. There was not enough room for the three ponies, so Rainbow Dash waited outside. All she heard was a gasp and excited noises, lots of “THANK YOU!”S and the CLOP, CLOP, CLOP of hooves walking out the front door. She asked Vinyl to see the ring, but he just grinned slyly and shook his head. Rainbow Dash’s curiosity was piqued, but she shrugged it off and flew off to take a well-deserved nap on a cloud.
With the ring finally handled, the wedding finally began to take shape. BUT, Twilight Sparkle reminded herself, this was a royal wedding, and she did NOT want it to turn bad like the last royal wedding. Twilight shuddered, and almost got up from her planning and checklist to go inspect Luna. But she giggled to herself and brushed aside the thought. She once again reviewed her checklist and nodded in approval. Everything on the list was checked in a fine, crisp purple ink and Twilight was proud. She knew now after at least 10 events that the Princess had asked her to plan that she was indeed a fine event planner. She blushed at the boastful thought and buried herself back into her work. The reception-who would handle that? The tremendous load of a new list filled her head. She sighed and listed everything.

She sighed and began to look up numbers for the location. She heard a loud crash and some heavy breathing and squealing! She didn’t even need to turn around for her to know that her visitor was most definitely, and undoubtedly, Pinkie Pie! She was still breathing heavily and Twilight sighed. “What is it this time, Pinkie?” Twilight raised her eyebrows, and poked the crazy little filly. Pinkie Pie giggled and replied: “What is it? Are you CRAZY? You’re needing help with the... RECEPTION?” she grabbed Twilight’s list and eyed it closely. Twilight sighed. It seemed that that pony could sense a party plan from 1,000 miles away. “OH Twilight! Why did you not contact me right away?” Pinkie did have a point. She was the party pony, and of anypony, THE one to take the reception job off her hands. She smiled joyfully and sighed. “Well of course, Pinkie! I was ABOUT to contact you!” She lied, knowing the pony wouldn’t notice or care as long as she got to plan it.
Finally, Luna’s wedding day. Before the wedding, of course, she was going to try on the dress in the early morning. Even though she had never seen it, she was sure she would love it; she had a terribly strong feeling. As she rose up out of her bed, she was already feeling special. She dressed casual, knowing that that fair Rarity would not let one fashion slip pass between her eyes once her dress was on, but for now a simple attire would be “JUST fine, darling!” She smirked, mocking Rarity silently. She walked into the dressing room, and immediately all Twilight’s friends enveloped her in a fury of helping hands and sharp eyes for the makeup part.
“I-- I’m ready.” She said, as her face had just finished its transformation. Now it was time for the dress...Luna breathed in very deeply, and nodded to the over-accomplished stylist. Rarity rushed in with the dress to help Luna get in on. (And she, of course, wanted to be the first one to see Luna in the dazzling gown.) Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle glanced at each other nervously, as they listened to the sound of fabric rustling and zippers gliding shut. And then they heard it. The sound they had been waiting, hoping, and longing to hear. A gasp of pure loves and pleasure. “I love it.” Luna blushed as she slowly tiptoed into the light of the hectic dressing room. At the bottom, the train dragging gracefully along the floor, it was a midnight blue, purposefully torn, and lined with beautiful black lace. As the pony’s eyes ventured upward, the dress became less tattered, and more elegant. Separating the midnight blue bottom from the white satin, sleeveless top, was a shining, glittery, silver sequined sash, tied in a perfect bow in the back, and flowed to the ground and slid gracefully along with the entire dress. The strands were also torn towards the bottom, and the sequins gradually disappeared as the sash’s long legs hung closer and closer to the ground. The white, sleeveless top was slatted down the middle a bit, emphasizing a sort of top-half-of-a-heart shape. Luna was beyond words. Rarity smiled, and she shook her head violently. “I am not done, dearie. I have something else as well!”
Rarity had truly gone above and beyond on this special project; so much that she had also designed and created a veil for the princess to wear. It was a sort of crown, in a snowy white shade, with silver sparkles at the top of the pointed crown to go the theme of the dress. A see-through, black fishnet fabric hung down to just the right point where it could be easily lifted from Luna’s face, in preparation for the perfect kiss from the one whom she truly loved most. The one she would do anything for. The one pony that made her feels like melting because his eyes were always on her. The pony that... when their eyes locked for the first time, she was complete, and she knew in the deepest part of her pulsing, beating heart, that she loved him.
While Fluttershy and Twilight sat in awe of the gorgeous gown before them, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were both having a near-anxiety-attack experience. It all started when Applejack came shooting through the forest-lined pathway from Sweet Apple Acres to Ponyville, to get some cinnamon for Granny Smith to put the finishing touches on the apple fritters. Rainbow Dash was bored and saw Applejack running so fast, so she decided to join in on the undeclared race. At first, Applejack was clearly in no mood for games. She was extremely tired from her long, boring jobs and not nearly enough sleep over the past few days, but she still had hope, because she could see the end of her suffering in sight. After, she gathered the cinnamon; she would drop it off in the kitchen with Granny Smith and then make a beeline for her bed, to take a nice, peaceful, EXTRA LONG nap. But, Rainbow Dash insisted in racing, as she was bored, so Applejack, gradually started to play along. She pushed herself faster and just kept telling herself that it would feel all the more peaceful and TOTALLY AWESOME when she FINALLY got to lay her head down and fall into a deep slumber.
“Agh!” Applejack cried as she proceeded to face-plant into the dirt. Rainbow Dash almost fell out of the sky from laughing so hard at the red-faced, deeply frustrated earth pony before her. “Oh, come on, Rainbow Dash.” Applejack sighed through her thick country accent, “I was so close! I’ve been kicking them dang apple trees all day, and haven’t had enough time to get a wedding gift for Luna and Vinyl Scratch.” Rainbow Dash looked like she had been slapped in the face. She had forgotten a gift. Rainbow Dash blushed and zoomed down to hover next to the earth pony, and she whispered into her ear “Well, I may have KINDA forgotten a wedding present, do you...” Rainbow Dash made a gagging noise and faked falling over before she finished her question, “want to go shopping?” Applejack nodded, and sighed sadly as her warm and fluffy bed visions disappeared.
With both Applejack and Rainbow Dash on the friendship express, (With a Pinkie Pie behind them, they just chose to ignore the silly little pony) It was a short ride despite Rainbow Dash’s pleads to let her go out and fly to Canterlot herself. When they arrived at their destination, Rainbow Dash and Applejack decided to split the gift between them. Applejack quickly chatted with Rainbow Dash before they took off. “Hey, I’ll get Luna’s if you get Vinyl’s” Applejack said, as she was already peering around for a suitable store while Rainbow Dash nodded and the ponies parted ways.
Rainbow Dash found a store labeled “Fancy Pants Classy Jazz Music Store.” Although this place was not for the kind of music Vinyl liked, she knew the manager might have something in the back for a small bribe. After all, Vinyl would never want any of the things that the Canterlot stores featured, so this was Rainbow’s only chance.
The cyan mare walked into the store, pretended to look at the strange brass tubas and big, tall bass and she zoomed up to the cash register, not giving time for the blue and yellow stallion to say hello. “FOR some extra bits, do you so happen to have any heavy metal/rock music in the back?” Rainbow raised her eyebrows, still hovering from her zoom to the front.
The gentle colt shook his head and responded in a thick Canterlot accent: “No. Not in the back...” he smiled and Rainbow dash could tell she was being a bit hash and blushed. “We do have a wall of electric guitars and oh, a new shipment of bass magnifiers.” The stallion looked at Rainbow dash from the corner of his eye and smiled. “If you do so prefer.” Rainbow dash was to the guitars before he could finish his sentence. She returned to the cashier and smiled. “One bass magnifier, please.”
Applejack was not having such luck. Trotting around Canterlot had made her even sleepier, and in a desperate action, she had purchased a double-chocolate, double-caffeine, cinnamon-topped, beaned espresso with a garnish of parsley (Applejack didn’t understand these names in Canterlot. back home they called it “Joe”) But she definitely understood the “caffeine” part. After slurping it down, she was currently buzzed more than any cider-flavored, watered down Joe at home could deliver. Then it hit her! Well of course! The perfect gift from Applejack’s lovely apple-juice stained heart was an Apple Squeezer! She ran as fast as she could through the plaza and into a store, and she right then and there bought the best one available. “Gift! CHECK! WHOOOOOOO!” Applejack ran through the store and out the window, ignoring (and not noticing) the horrified Canterlot ponies.
When the two ponies met up with each other once again, Rainbow Dash didn’t even want to know what was going on with Applejack. Instead, she rushed her to the wedding, as it was about to start.
About an hour earlier, Fluttershy had been going through a dress rehearsal with her birds, when Big Mac sauntered up. “Hey... um... Fluttershy--” Fluttershy was startled (as usual) and screamed, startling Big Mac, who reared up, scaring the birds... who flew away. “Oh no!” Fluttershy mumbled, then turning to Big Mac, “What... do you need?” She blushed slightly, looking at the big, strong stallion. Big Mac looked at the ground shyly before looking up into Flutter shy’s big blue-green eyes and gathering enough confidence to ask her what he had come to ask.
“Fluttershy... would you do me the honor... of being my... date to the wedding?” He blushed a deep shade of scarlet (which barely showed up on his red skin.) Fluttershy smiled, and nodded before nuzzling him on his cheek. They stayed like this for a while, not in one another’s arms, but nuzzling and enjoying the moment. Fluttershy blushed and started trotting away. “I’ll see you there!” She told her date. Big Mac smiled his shy smile and said quietly, “Ee-yup...” before trotting off in the opposite direction to change into his tuxedo.
All of the bells set up all over the garden were chiming in beautiful harmony as all of the guests took their seats. Applejack was helping to set up the refreshments bar in the back for the reception, Twilight Sparkle was marking off the guests’ list as they arrived, and all the rest of the ponies were in the changing room, being helped by Rarity into their bridesmaids’ gowns. All of the gowns loose, and made entirely of white lace, that would fit the ponies like a smock if not for the shining blue and silver sash, tied in a gorgeous bow on each of the ponies’ right side. Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash had all just finished getting changed when Twilight Sparkle walked in. “Where’s my dress?” She asked Rarity. Rarity pointed to inside the dressing room, where Twilight’s special dress (she was the maid of honor) awaited her. Twilight Sparkle gasped and almost fainted at the slick, slim silver dress, lined on the bottom with black and blue sequins. In the middle, there was a sash (not unlike the other dresses) that was jeweled with sapphires and diamonds, and in the middle was the biggest diamond, in the shape of Twilight’s cutie mark. She quickly changed and all of the ponies headed out to the beginning of the aisle, where they waited until the music began playing. Apple Bloom went out first (as she was the flower girl) and she spread lovely white roses and magnolias all down the aisle. Then came Applejack and Pinkie Pie walking together proudly downs the aisle, followed by Rainbow Dash who created a dazzling rainbow in her trail, and Rarity frolicked in it behind her. Fluttershy and Big Macintosh walked down the aisle together, blushing the whole way down, and Fluttershy was so nervous she had to lean up against her date. Finally, Twilight Sparkle appeared and pranced proudly, assuming her up-front position when she finished her walk. Vinyl could barely swallow when he saw his one and only love emerge on the aisle. Twilight Sparkle began sobbing, and she had to be lead out by Rainbow Dash who was muttering things about eggheads the whole way out. Luna concentrated on the stallion before her, as she slowly paraded in between the lines of pews. There were ponies gasping, oohing, and ahing all throughout the garden. The breathtaking princess stood to the side of her love, facing him. The priest began the ceremony.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here in the sight of all Equestria, and in the face of this company, to join together this Stallion and this Mare in holy Matrimony; which is an honorable estate, instituted of Princess Celestia, signifying unto us the mystical union that is betwixt Celestia and her Equestria: which holy estate Princess Celestia adorned and beautified with her presence. Into this holy garden these two ponies present come now to be joined. If any pony can show just cause, why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter for ever hold his peace.” And after nopony dared get between the two lovers, the priest began to speak aloud to Luna and Vinyl.
“I require and charge you both, as you will answer at the dreadful day of judgment when the secrets of all hearts shall be disclosed, that if either of you know any impediment, why you may not be lawfully joined together in Matrimony, please do confess it now. For be well assured, that if any ponies are joined together other than as Princess Celestia's Word does allow, their marriage is not lawful.” The ponies nodded because they understood. Then the priest spoke only to Vinyl.
“Vinyl Scratch, will you have this mare to thy wedded mate, to live together after Celestia her self’s ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor, and keep her in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, keeping yourself only unto her, so long as you both shall live?” And of course, Vinyl grinned and replied, “Hell yeah.”
The priest smiled and then spoke only to Luna, “Princess Luna of Equestria, Will you have this Stallion as your wedded mate, to live together after Celestia her self’s ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honor, and keep him in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him, so long as you both shall live?” And, as expected, Luna smiled her gorgeous, toothy smile and solemnly replied, “Yes, yes I most definitely will.”
Featherweight rushed up to both of them, and presented the rings, and Luna’s eyes widened at the sight of her ring. It was a simple silver-banded ring, but with a special stone in the middle, that looked as if it had captured a star right out of the heavens. Vinyl grinned once more and said (as if he could tell what she was thinking), he leaned in close to her face, his hot breath everywhere, and he whispered: “It’s called a star sapphire.” Luna smiled and tears dripped slowly down her face, because she knew, that the only person she ever would want to be with, ever needed to be with, was right there with her. They helped each other put on their rings and then proceeded to recite their vows.
“I vow to love you, no matter what happens, for ever, and ever. And when the going gets tough, babe, I’ll be right there with you. Every time I see you, it lights up my life... You light up my life... and without your light, I don’t think I could go on. I need that light that sparks and flickers inside of me. I need you, Luna. I love you.” Vinyl Scratch rubbed up against Luna and nuzzled her softly as she recited her vows.
“I... vow to... love you... and always be there for you... even... if...” Luna broke into tears and agreed to tell him her vows on their honeymoon, when she was less emotional. The priest smiled at their display of affection, and continued.
“Vinyl Scratch of Ponyville, Princess Luna of Canterlot, I now pronounce you lawfully wedded mates, you may now kiss the bride! “There was not a second to be spared before the couple indulged into a loving kiss, but not for the feeling of the kiss but the chance to get closer to each other. There were cheers coming from the ponies that could be heard throughout Equestria, and the hooves that were stomped could have made an earthquake occur. The absolute PERFECT day had only just begun...
The reception was a blast, with Pinkie Pie’s confetti cannons bursting, Fluttershy’s birds singing, and everypony enjoying Applejack’s snacks. At one point, the Cakes showed up, carrying the most elaborate, elegant cake that anypony had ever seen! There were moons and stars to represent Luna, and musical notes and instruments to represent Vinyl, but they were tied together in a way that everypony knew... they were in love. The cake was as delicious as it was DAZZLING! Everypony had a great time dancing, laughing, stomping their hooves, and just enjoying the scenery.
Soon, the birds began a slow, lovey-dovey song. Everypony made a giant circle so that the newlyweds could dance to their first song. Well, Luna thought, their first SLOW song. Luna clung to Vinyl, unable to stand without melting and falling to his feet... So, he held her, and they swayed back and forth, clinging to one another. After a few minutes, Big Macintosh waltzed over to Fluttershy and asked her to dance. They began swaying and holding each other, smiling and just basking in the glory of being with the other pony, falling in love with the fact that they could stare directly into the other’s eyes. Many other ponies joined in, including Apple Bloom and Featherweight, Pinkie Pie and.. Well... herself, and Rarity and a charming new Prince that left the other ponies with raised eyebrows. They all had a grand old time, dancing furiously with the one that they loved, especially Fluttershy and Big Mac, and Luna and Vinyl. When it came time for everypony to say their goodbyes to Luna and Vinyl (who were heading off to an all-inclusive honeymoon in Cloudsdale, paid for by Princess Celestia) there were lots of tears and hugs, but Luna and Vinyl were happy, and the magical night had exceeded all the pony’s expectations, especially Vinyl’s. But before they had to leave, Vinyl had just one more song they had to play.
Instead of letting the “royal” DJ handle it, he bumped the stallion aside and grabbed the microphone. Basically screaming into it, Vinyl spoke: “Who’s ready to PPPPAARRRTTTYYY?”
Vinyl winked at his friend Pinkie, who said the same thing at the 2nd most recent wedding, right after she pulled Vinyl out of nowhere. He was not still sure how this was possible, as she was not even a unicorn.
Luna quickly walked over as Vinyl and his buddies were setting up everything, and she tilted her head, clearly confused. Vinyl smiled and kissed her on the cheek. “No need to worry, babe.” She blushed and believed him, hoping that whatever it was that was so special BETTER be VERY special, because she was definitely not putting off alone time with Vinyl tonight any longer than she had to.
With the crowd riled up from Vinyl’s promises of a last song, some of the party guests hoped for a slow dance or a vow of some sort. But those who knew the groom well, they were putting in earplugs for what was about to come. Vinyl grabbed the microphone and stepped up to his table of disks and buttons, which he obviously knew very well, and began a very high speed electronic beat, which was then added in with hundreds of electronics pulses and flares, and the ponies commenced to dance very happily and yell and scream. No one there relented to the infecting music, nopony thought of it “uncouth.” The heavy electronic beat was too powerful for any pony to resist. Luna found Vinyl and hoof touched hoof, eye met eye and muzzle met muzzle. The remainder of the song was a mixed jumble of passion and foreshadowing for the night ahead.
With party guests in a daze from quite possibly THE BEST WEDDING EVER, Vinyl had some time to chill with his buddies before him and his mate left for their honeymoon. One of his shadier buddies spoke up, Sleaze Lou Eze. “Hey, Vinyl, me and the boys...” he gestured to the ponies around him, “were thinking.” He smiled a harsh grin, obviously cooking up something in his eerie little mind. Vinyl looked expectantly to Lou, letting the pony finish his sentence. “Maybe we could hit the town... you know... one last night before the old ball and chain drags you down.” He smirked and gestured towards Luna, who was speaking with Twilight Sparkle. Vinyl considered it, to be polite, but everypony in Equestria knew he would say, “No. I’m sorry. I love Luna, and the thought of ever being with another pony makes my stomach churn.” Sleaze Lou Eze rolled his eyes, but then smirked slyly, as if he had an evil plan. His eyes darted to Luna, looking her up and down slowly.
“We could bring her along, you know. She’s not exactly the worst looking creature in Equestria. Maybe... she might want to have some REAL FUN. With a REAL stallion.” He started to approach Luna (who was unaware of the situation) but before he could reach her, Vinyl Scratch jumped out of nowhere, landing squarely on Lou and rearing up, stomping his hooves down hard and knocking the air out of the sleazy moron. That got Luna’s attention, along with the rest of the guests who were staring wide-eyed with their mouths open.
“You won’t lay a hoof on her, UNDERSTAND?” Vinyl spat on the ground near Lou’s head, making the hideous-minded pony flinch. But that only lasted for a quick moment. Sleaze Lou Eze started to smile, the ends of his lips curving in unnatural ways, reminding Vinyl of a snarl. He then proceeded in laughing like a maniac, cackling there, lying on the ground in a heap. Vinyl was about to silence Lou, but felt himself being lifted off of the insane stallion. He thrashed about, trying to beat down his invisible predator. But, he soon figured out that it was his wife, Luna, levitating him off of Sleaze Lou Eze. Slowly and quietly, the princess began to speak in a calm, untouched tone of voice.
“Not today, Vinyl. Not here.” Her eyes, once glowing and giggling with happiness and joy, were now dull with disappointment in her new husband. There was absolutely NOT going to be ANY fighting on Luna’s wedding day.
“She’s right, Vinyl. I see who wears the pants in this relationship, eh boys?” Sleaze Lou Eze and his companions cackled once more. “How about... tomorrow? We meet in the alley near Sugar cube Corner in Ponyville.” Lou offered.
“I can’t, you idiot. I’m about to go on my honeymoon.” Vinyl was slightly relieved, but he also needed to get rid of some stress, so a good fight might be just what he needed. But Lou was NOT going to let him off that easy. He got to his hooves and slowly exaggerated brushing himself off. “This isn’t over, Vinyl Scratch. I’ll get you back. I’m VERY patient.” He grinned, making Vinyl cringe.
“I don’t give up easy.” And with those last, frosty words, Sleaze Lou Eze and his gang walked off, pushing over the remainder of the wedding cake on their way out of the garden.
Vinyl sighed and looked up at his bride, whom he knew was on the verge of tears. He ran over and kissed her lightly looking into her eyes and whispering a soft “I’m so, so, sorry. ”Luna smiled back at him and everypony clapped, relishing in the night and smiling at the bride and groom. Luna spoke, with a tear of joy in her eyes. “Vinyl... here are MY vows that I was too emotional to tell you at the wedding.” Vinyl lit up and kissed her on the cheek, urging her to go on. “Vinyl Scratch, I love you with all my heart and soul and I am determined for this to be the way of things for all eternity.” An “Awl...” from the crowd and they kissed, walking out toward the royal chariot and cuddling up next to each other, ready for their visit to Cloudsdale and a night of passion. But instead of getting another sneak peek, Luna gasped with awe and excitement as she stared at Vinyl’s torso. Vinyl looked down and gasped as well. Two daintily constructed wings were forming on Vinyl! “H-How is this happening?” He wondered, and a feminine voice appeared from above them. Looking up, they met their eyes with Princess Celestia’s and her horn shining brightly from performing the spell, which had formed Vinyl’s wings. Princess Celestia smiled and landed on the chariot, which received a harsh neigh from the drivers. She ignored them and spoke, obviously pleased. “Here is my wedding gift, Vinyl.” She giggled as Vinyl gasped and began to flex his new wings, basically ignoring everything else. “When you reach Cloudsdale, you’ll be able to fly like all the other Pegasus ponies. Except, you’ll be an alicorn just like all the royals, because a mate of the 2nd in charge deserves the honor. Luna and Vinyl blushed, and Princess Celestia took off into the air. Vinyl kissed his mate on the cheek and once again flexed his wings. “I can’t wait to try these out!” Vinyl squeaked, clearly happiest by this wedding gift than any others. Luna patted him and laughed. “You’re starting to look like a baby Pegasus!” she nodded to his wings. “Can’t wait to try them out but don’t even know how to hover!” Vinyl blushed and playfully shoved her. “Hey!” she pointed. “Cloudsdale!” Vinyl grinned and got his cool back. For just a moment. He took off, using his new wings to fly 3 times around a column before Luna reached him. Vinyl smiled as Luna flew up in astonishment. “Now you’re looking more like your friend rainbow dash, you know, the fast one.” He smiled and the enveloped into a steamy kiss, they were now officially on their honeymoon and happier than anything.
When they reached their hotel room, Vinyl wasted no time, pulling down the cloud bed and laying down in it, the soft cloud’s surface making Vinyl want to fall asleep right away. He nodded to Luna and patted the space next to him on the bed, lowering his guard and pretending to go to sleep. Luna caught on. “Oh, I’ll just go to sleep, I guess...” she winked to Vinyl, who noticed through slatted eyelids. He pretended to reply in a sleepy tone, turn out the night and go to bed already...”
But sleep was far off for the new couple.
In a mixture of passion and absolute love for one another, their night had two seconds of sleep and the rest lovemaking, flank shaking, and a bit of fatigue, as they had not slept all night in honor of the occasion and love for one another. When the pair awoke in the morning, lots of mysterious stains littered the room, and instead of cleaning them up, they just shared a wordless inside joke with one another and sped out of their for the complimentary breakfast.
After their bellies were full, they took a nice little tour of the town and lazily floated around, training Vinyl’s new wings and finding that he was almost meant to be a flyer. They got takeout for dinner at a quaint cafe and dragged a cloud up farther than usual. Bringing the little picnic lunch, they flew up and plopped right on it, barely tasting the food and indulging instead in one another. Vinyl placed Luna below him, Vinyl on top, and he smiled and kissed her. “Love you, babe.” his new alicorn body was a bit more overpowering, thought Luna, as she shared a kiss with him. “Vinyl..” Luna said as he was going in for another round of love. “Vinyl smiled and gave up his top position and rolled next to her. “Our children one day...” Vinyl blushed and thought of last night. “Yes, baby? What about them?” Luna smiled and patted her tummy, there was nothing there yet but the baby was soon to be developing. “Oh nothing.” she smiled and let her clothes drift off in the wind (Not like she was wearing any, she WAS a pony) and Vinyl’s drifted off with her’s. Pressing up against him, she remembered the big decision they had made wordlessly to have a child. She blushed and Vinyl knew what she was thinking about. “Don’t worry, baby. It’ll be all right. Our child won’t be prettier than you, but he/she will be one hell of a kid.” and with that they kissed.
11 months later
Today was the day. Vinyl peered at his wife, her stomach stuck out immensely and her face wrought with the pain of nearby childbirth. They were in the hospital, and Nurse Red heart was inspecting her belly. “Everything’s going along fine, sweetie.” Luna smiled at the nurse, who blushed and pointed to her belly. “Talking to the baby, you see.” and she dashed out of the room, as she needed to alert the doctors of Luna’s critical condition. They could hear the sassy nurse’s orders from in the waiting room, “The lady is P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T! She needs to get this baby out, A-S-A-P!”
Right then a doctor zoomed out; scooping up Luna in a gurney and rushing her to the emergency care room. Vinyl trotted along next to his wife, whispering comforting things and trying to ease her pain with words. It didn’t work. They wheeled her into a space and hooked her up to all sorts of tubes and wires, and then they gave her some sort of medicine and began. With a lot of push, the baby was coming out; But Luna was not faring so well. The doctors said that since she was going to be the first Alicorn baby bearer, that they were having some complication, and the baby had been flipped, coming out feet first. After giving Luna the choice of a C-Section or attempting to flip the baby, the doctors waited patiently. Luna was in no form for making decisions right now, and the baby was so close to being born, that the doctors had to perform a C-Section. Vinyl was pushed out the doors and shoved into a green hospital chair. About an hour later, after Vinyl’s lovely mate was awake and ready for action, he burst in through the door once the doctor came out and signaled he could come in. Vinyl had been living in the crazier part of town and had seen fights, but he had never seen anything like this. In Luna’s hooves was the cutest foal anypony had ever laid their eyes on. Armed with a horn and wings, this pony was a full-blown alicorn. Vinyl locked eyes with the small, white-bodied beauty, her black mane with rainbow streaks layered in the front covering one deep green eye. Her proud sire could not help but letting the ends of his mouth curve upward into a smile, showing his pearly white teeth. In return, the filly smiled back, making the doctors and nurses surrounding the gurney gasp and whisper. Vinyl Scratch blinked, took off his sunglasses, rubbed his eyes, and took a better look. He smiled and let himself laugh a bit.
“Well...” He started, still staring gently into his daughter’s eyes, “I guess we know what the deformity is.” There, in his daughter’s mouth (her name was Blare, short for Blaring Siren,) sat two small fangs coming from her upper gums.
Later, in the waiting room, Vinyl began to fill out a card to send to all of his friends. (Excluding Sleaze Lou Eze, of course.)

He smiled, reading it. Somehow, he felt like he knew her, but they had only just met. A flash of bold, green light coming from his wife’s room interrupted his thoughts. Some pony screamed and others gasped. Vinyl galloped through the door and stopped abruptly, seeing that everypony was safe and sound, especially Luna and Blare. There was something different, though... Luna was smiling from ear to ear, gesturing at Blare’s flank. Vinyl took one look, eyes widening, and muttered, “Impossible.” at the mark that had just formed on his daughter. It was a microphone, outlined in a rainbow that made it pop out. How had the filly already received her cutie mark? Both Luna and Vinyl were confused until Blare started to sing. Now, she wasn’t singing real words, just sounds like “La la” and others like that. Her voice was so gentle, yet so powerful, and it brought tears to the parents’ eyes.
The doctor walked in slowly, giving the couple a little space, and he gasped. “How did that little filly already receive her Cutie Mark?” he breathed. Luna shook her head and laughed. “You’re the doctor, you tell me!” The doctor was not joking. “When shall we schedule the removal of those? Fangs of yours, little filly?” The doctor looked at them with disgust. Vinyl shoved the doctor away from Blare. “Never!” he shouted. “My baby’s fangs are a part of her, and you won’t remove them.” He fanned his wings over Blare, and she peeked out from behind. The doctor smirked. “Those fangs are not NORMAL, and so they should be removed.” Vinyl frowned, and responded in a frosty tone: “They SHOULD, but they’re not goanna.” He replied, and picked up the little filly. Luna departed from her bed, exhausted but ready to follow Vinyl, and she nodded approval to everything Vinyl spoke. He turned to Luna. “Luna...” he said quietly. “I want my first child to grow up where she’ll know what’s right and she’ll be in touch with nature...” he smiled, knowing she was exhausted and wouldn't jump at the opportunity. When we had that picnic, I know you loved being that high. So why not raise our baby up there?” Vinyl handed Blare to Luna. Little Blare smiled up at her parents before snuggling down in Luna’s arms, and let one last “La.” squeak out. Luna confidently nodded and they took off, flying straight up till much past 100 miles up, and they found a huge cloud to work with. They landed on the firm, fluffy cloud and began to shape the cloud into a small, functional, house. They would live here only until Blare learned how to talk, and then move back into the castle. It was perfect, the soft breeze that was caressing the ponies’ faces was warm and the sun was shining in on the little trio. As the house began to take shape, Vinyl was overwhelmed by his daughter's singing and decided to go and retrieve something from the ground, despite Luna’s cautions. While Vinyl was gone, Luna fashioned a baby bed and a rocker from the cloud pieces and began to nurse Blare and put her down for a nap. Then Luna was going to do the same. (Without the nursing part, Luna was thousands of years old.) She sighed and plopped down on a nearby cloud and dozed, and it was a while before she heard Vinyl come plop down next to her. “Welcome back,” she smiled and kissed him. When they drew back, Luna raised and eyebrow. “What’d you get?” she asked. Vinyl smiled mischievously and laid himself on top of Luna. “Oh... the essentials, food, water, and.” Vinyl giggled. Luna did not need to prod him for the information any longer, for she already knew the answer. Coming from the very room that their daughter was sleeping in, a loud electronic beat was pulsing, with a squeak of a vocal accompaniment.
