Vinyl walked slowly towards the exit.
”Celestia buck it! Get back here Vinyl! Help me! Stop!”
I wanted nothing but to be free from these cursed strings. To just break away from my unseen tormentor.
"Wait." The strings were pulling at my mouth, forming the words.
Vinyl turned around.
"Octy?"
"Come here." I said in a monotone voice that wasn't quite mine.
Vinyl walked over slowly.
"Octavia..."
My hooves, directed by my invisible puppeteer, dropped my bow and cello.
"Please, Vinyl, I'm sorry! I love you! I stopped speaking when I realized she still couldn't hear me. Vinyl stepped on the stage next to me. The strings made my head turn to look at her.
"Octavia, just tell me, what did I do wrong?" she asked, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Nothing!" I tried to scream. "You did nothing wrong, Vinyl! I love you!"
I felt my hooves being lifted towards Vinyls neck.
"Wait, what's happening? No! Stop! Please! No!I tried to pull back, but the strings wouldn't allow me.
"Octavia?" Vinyl gasped. "What-?"
My hooves clenched around her throat. Tears fell from my eyes.
"O-Octa-vi-a..." Vinyl choked.
"Stop! I'm sorry! Please stop!" I wanted to shout, but instead a sickening chuckle came out of my grinning lips.
"I-love-you..." she gasped.
"VINYL!"
The strings broke, and I collapsed onto the floor, releasing Vinyl's body, which fell beside me.
"Vinyl!" I cried, then reached for her wrist to check for a pulse.
Nothing.
I held her limp body, sobbing.
"I love you, Vinyl! I love you!"
I did this. I killed the one person in my life I loved.
Weeping, I ran my hooves through her electric blue mane.
I will never love again. I will never put someone into danger by feeling for them. Vinyl will be my first and last love.
No, I shall never love again.
