Celestia's sun bore through the tiny hole in my make-shift shelter hitting me square in my eyes, causing me to stir awake. 'Goddamn it, why can't Celestia stop torturing me for just a few hours so I can get some damn sleep?!' I think bitterly as I rise from my leaf-bed and move for my stuff. I sigh to myself as I look out the “door” of my shelter. 'Still early in the morning, now where are my sunglasses?' I think to myself. I live in a hollowed out tree inside the Everfree Forest. It's not exactly luxury, but it's my home until I reach my next destination: Ponyville.
My “home” is basically a 3 by 4 ft in empty space with my leaf-bed in one side of the area and my stuff scrambled in the corner. Clothing, my hat, a canteen of water, and various other things lay scattered all over the corner closest to the door. I walk over to dig through the pile for my sunglasses.
”Zhere ve go,” I say triumphantly as I finally find my sunglasses inside my hat, “Finally, mein eyes were starting to burn.”
I pull the sunglasses over my eyes and breathe a sigh of relief as the brightness of the sun becomes dulled in my vision. “Vell, I'd better pack up and move on.” I say to myself as I move my left hand to my wand holster. I pull out my familiar jet black wand out of its holster and point it at my stuff. Almost as soon as I had drawn it, everything was either in my bag or on my body.
I flick my wand one more time to levitate the mirror in front of me and take a look at my appearance. I had my jet black hair with blood red highlights messily set underneath a grey fedora with a black ribbon on the hat. I was wearing a grey jacket over a black t-shirt, blue jeans with two holsters attached (one for my wand and another for a magic gun I carried around), and black sneakers with white laces. “Sehr gut,” I say to myself satisfied with my appearance. I grab my duffelbag and move for the entrance of the tree.
I walk outside only to wish I had moved sooner. There was a girl directly across from where I had just left being held at knife-point by two men dressed in all black. The girl was pretty young with hair that looked like cotton-candy, wearing a pink-striped t-shirt and overalls. She also had no shoes, was covered head to toe in cuts and bruises, her right eye was swollen shut, and her clothes were torn. During that moment I felt pity for what happened to this girl and anger to those who caused it.
“Come on girly, no one's coming to save you! Now let's go back to the hideout so we can have some fun,” one of the men said with a smug grin.
She was curled up near a tree, crying and pleading for help. Her soft pink hair was matted with dirt and mud from the ground, as if she had tried to get away from these men earlier. She squealed in pain as one of the men tried to pick her up, and lashed ferociously at the leg of her attacker. He shoved her aside and grabbed his leg in pain as the other one moved to do the same. 'I can't just sit here!' I thought as I saw the scene in front of me.
“Yeah, no one uses the Everfree path anymore so why don't you just come back with us?” the other added.
“I guess I'm 'no vone' zhen.” I say walking towards them.
The dunce duo turned around to look at me with spite. “Who the hell are you and what are you doing on this path?” The first man yelled.
“Vell, I vas sleeping in ze tree behind me. I vas about to leave for Ponyville, but upon leaving I come across you two ficken idioten harassing zis young Fräulein here unt now I vould like to ask... VHAT ZE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!?! ” I yell with burning fury in my voice, causing the men to flinch at the booming volume.
"J-Just wh-who the hell do ya th-think you are, ordering us around like that?!" the second man said with fear in his voice, "You're lucky we don't cu-".
I pulled out my spell gun and shot him square in the chest with such velocity that old Western cowboys would be jealous. He was interrupted by a lightning bolt hitting him square in the center. The first man looked at me in fear as I was holding my smoking gun. The man then looked to his partner, who had a large burn mark across his chest. I could see the fear growing in his eyes as he realized what he had walked into.
"Now zen, vould you please take zis blödmann out of mein sight before I take my anger out on you." I say in a low growl. He didn't need to be told twice; he immediately picked up the injured man off the ground and ran off into the forest.
I sighed after they left and turned my attention to the girl. 'Well damn, what am I gonna do about her?' I think while trying to get a solution out of my mind. She was crying and cowering on a nearby tree begging me not to hurt her. The sight of it broke my heart, to see a girl her age this scared...
"Mein fraulein, are you alright?" I ask gently as I reach a hand out to get her to face me. She turned her head to look at me with tear filled eyes. Suddenly, she jumped at me, wrapping her arms around me and thanking me in between sobs. I wrapped my arms around her, petting her head with one hand and shushing her slowly by singing a lullaby. "Hush jetzt ruhig jetzt ausruhen Ihre Schlafmütze hush jetzt ruhig jetzt ist es Zeit, ins Bett zu gehen ist " (translation Hush now quiet now rest your sleepy head hush now quiet now it's time to go to bed)
After a little while the girl calmed down a bit, but was still sobbing. I don't blame her, she has been through a lot.
"Ma'am your voundz vill sting from ze tearz if you keep crying," I say with concern. "How about I lighten ze mood vith some conversation. Vhat'z your name ma'am?"
"P-Pink-Pinkie," she said between sobs.
"It'z nice to meet you Miss Pinkie, vould you like me to take you home now?" I ask with a warm smile.
"Y-yes please."
"Very vell Miss Pinkie, vhere do you live?"
"Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville. I make all sorts of sugary treats there." Pinkie said with a bright smile.
"That'z good I vas on mein vay to Ponyville." I said, returning the smile.
Pinkie stood up with her arms pointing down the path "Then let's GOOO-oooww!" Pinkie dropped back down to the ground, clutching her left leg.
I knelt down next to her, looking at her with concern.
"Can you valk?.....oh scheiße ." Her left leg had a long gash along her calf. It was a miracle in itself that she didn't feel it until now.
"Vell, no valking for you ma'am," I sighed. I turned around, making my back face her. "Hop on."
"What?" Pinkie asked with a confused expression.
"Hop on mein back, you can't valk so I'm going to carry you," I remarked in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Oh....okay." Pinkie wrapped her arms around my neck and her good leg around my stomach.
"Let'z go," I breathed with a small smile.
"Hey, you never told me YOUR name," Pinkie stated.
I paused for a moment. "You can call me Nightly, Miss Pinkie." I stand up and walk to the exit of the Everfree.
"It's nice to meet you Nightly..."
Both of us fall silent as I carried her to our shared destination.
Pinkie and I left the Everfree after a hour or two only to come into a forest of apple trees. REALLY, there were freaking HUNDREDS of apple trees. Every two meters or so was another one, and it felt like never ended. 'WHO THE HELL NEEDS THIS MANY APPLE TREES!?' I scream mentally.
Then while staring at the apple trees I realized something: I'm hungry. I ran out of food around two days ago and I'm on the brink of passing out from exhaustion since I barely got enough sleep for the entire time I was in the Everfree, so right now I need either coffee or a nice bed to sleep in.
"Miss Pinkie are you hungry ma'am?" I ask hiding the exhaustion in my voice.
"A little, why?"
I pulled out my wand and pointed it at the nearest tree, then two apples floated down in my magical grip. "Because I am too ma'am." I replied to Pinkie, taking a bite out of one of the apples. Pinkie grabbed the other one and ate the entire thing in one bite leaving me with my mouth slightly agape, but I shook it off thinking of Screwball's impossible stunts.
"Impressive ma'am." I say with a slight smile after thinking of Screwball, "I've only met vone other person who could do something like zat."
Pinkie just ignored me and looked at me with eyes that yelled "Can I have more PWWWEEAAASSSEEEEE?". I just sighed and walked up to the nearest apple trees and gave it a kick causing a few apples to fall down onto the ground. "Here'z your secondz if you're still hungry.". She squealed and limped toward the apples as fast as she could and ate about five apples core and all. Then out of bloody nowhere a country voice rings out of the silence.
"Ahlright you varmint. You better hope on paying for thos- Pinkie?" I turn my head to see a girl with a orange t-shirt, dirty jeans, a pair of work boots on her feet, a brown stetson on top of her blode hair that was done up in a pony tail. She was looking at Pinkie with piercing green eyes and freckles under them. Then she turned her gaze to me with a furious expression. 'Oh I'm not liking where this is going.'
"Gutentag ma'am. could you point me in ze direction of Pony-...Vhat are you doing?" Then suddenly at unbelivable speed the girl ran at me, not giving me enough time to draw my spell gun. She delivered a swift kick to my head, sending me into the apple tree Pinkie was next to. "Ow..." my vision was slightly blurred from just ONE kick to the head?! 'I'm getting rusty.'
I got back up,but the girl wasted no time and rushed me again. She extended her left arm and slammed my head against the tree I was next to. 'This is getting tiring.' Once the girl let go I extended my right hand and grabbed her by her throat and lifted her into the air. She beat at my arm trying to get me to loosen my grip on her, but it only made me grip her tighter.
"Vell ma'am I'd say you put up a gut fight, but I didn't even break a sveat." I spoke with a bored expression, staring into her hate-filled eyes. "Shut up you kidnapper." she whispered.
I blinked in confusion from that statement "Vhat?"
"Nightly put her down now!" I turn to face Pinkie and she looked very angry,
"Very vell ma'am." I dropped the girl and listened to her cough and sputter trying to regain her breath while Pinkie glared at me, "You didn't need to take things that far!" I just shrugged.
"And you Applejack," she yelled turning to the girl whose name is apparently Applejack (how poetic), "you attacked him just for feeding me after taking me out of captivativaty! Nightly saved my life from those two kidnappers and he's asking for nothing in return, he's been nothing but nice to me, and on top of ALL THAT he's called me Miss Pinkie the entire time which I'd prefer he'd stop." she finished the last statement turning to me with an annoyed expression.
"Nein ." I responded with a blank expression ((que an internal troll-face)).
She let out a huff of frustration, but continued to yelled at Applejack.
"But Pinkie, what if he's in league with those kidnappers?"
"He fired his spell gun at one of them."
"That could've been part of the plan."
"Then why am I here?"
"Ah....he....what if....."Applejack stammered trying to counter her, but let out a sigh and spoke after a minute of silence, "Fine Ah trust ya' Pinkie," she turned her gaze to me, "but if you do anything ta' hurt her you go down partner."
"Very vell, I have nothing to gain from hurting her anyvay." I said with a shrug.
She glared at me one more time, but replaced it with a light smile "Good enough, Ah guess."
Applejack stuck out her hand and gestured for me to shake it. I took hold of her hand and she shook it as hard as she could. After she let go I rubbed my shoulder to try and not feel numb 'Ow...'. "Now git' going to the hospital so Pinkie's limp can git' fixed." she pushed me towards Pinkie.
"She'z right Miss Pinkie we'd best get going ma'am." I turned to Applejack, took off my hat, and bowed "Thank you understanding Miss Applejack.". At first I thought I saw a blush on her face, but I dismissed it as glare on my sunglasses.
"It's nothing partner, now hurry up an' get Pinkie to the hospital." she responded with a tip of her stetson.
I nodded and helped Pinkie back onto my back and walked past Applejack.
Once we were away from the apple forest and moving up a hill that led to the hospital Pinkie spoke up, "Nightly are you okay, you're bleeding." I put a hand to my forehead and felt a slight wetness. I pulled my hand away to see my blood, 'Shit'.
"I'm alright ma'am. Besidez you're in vorse condition zan me." I try to reassure her.
"But you're still hurt! Hold still." she took a piece of torn cloth off herself and pushed it against my head.
I sighed knowing there was no arguing with her "Fine, but ve're gonna arrive at ze hospital soon according to ze signz."
"That should be enough time to fix you up." she responded putting more pressure onto my head.
I walked up the hill in silence as Pinkie pushed on my wound with the cloth until I speak up, "Miss Pinkie how long vere you gone before I saved you?"
Pinkie didn't respond which made me a bit concerned, 'Maybe I shouldn't have said that.'
"Nevermind you don't have answer if you don't want to."
"Thank you Nightly." After that both of us remained silent on the rest of the walk
When we reached the hospital my wound stopped bleeding. I walked up to the door and pushed it open to see no one except a woman in a yellow hoodie, blue jeans, and had a bunny on her lap laying in the corner in the waiting room sleeping. Her hood was up so I couldn't see her face, but her hair was long enough for me to see it's color: pink...'What is with the color pink and me lately.'
I walked up to the front desk and rang the bell that sat there, no one came. After about five minutes I rang it again. Still no response. I set Pinkie on the desk carefully and looked her in the eye, "Stay here vhile I see vhat'z taking ze doctorz so long." she nodded and started drawing with a pencil on an empty piece of paper she found. I turned towards a door that led into the office.
I opened the door and found a large group of doctors sitting in a break room sipping on coffee. My eye twitched a bit from anger at the sheer laziness of these morons. I walked up to the nearest doctor grabbed him by the back of the collar of his white coat and dragged him into the waiting room.
"What in Celestia's name do you think you're doing?" the doctor protested as I let go of him.
I pointed at Pinkie who was drawing a picture of me apparently. The doctor turned his head and his eyes went wide. "I'm so sorry sir I jus-"
"Shut up and help her or she von't be ze only vone needing medical attention." I interrupted glaring at him through my sunglasses.
He shuddered a bit then called for other doctors to help him with Pinkie, she waved as she was helped onto a gurney, "Bye Nightly, thanks for helping me here." after that she was already in the operating room, leaving me alone with the girl in the yellow hoodie. I sighed and slumped down in the nearest chair letting my exhaustion take over and let me fall asleep.
Chapter 3 Old and New Friends

I was enjoying a good nap on a uncomfortable chair, my back was getting stiff, but I didn't care I haven't had a good sleep in about a month. Then out of nowhere a small shock got sent through my body making me give a yell of surprise and pain, but I kept my eyes shut. 'Goddamnit why does no one want me to sleep?'
"Hey Nightly, are ya' alright there partner?" a familiar voice called out.
'I'd know that accent from anywhere' I groaned and turned onto my side trying to go back to sleep.
"Come-on get up partner." Applejack ordered.
I opened my eyes just a crack to see full on sunlight. "GAH!" I shouted covering my eyes and started feeling around for my sunglasses, "Miss Applejack vhere are mein sunglasses?"
"Ha! Applejack you were right he does talk funny!" a new tomboyish voice shouted.
"Rainbow Dash it's rude to make fun of how others talk!" another but more polite one shouted.
"Verdammt sonnenbrille, wo zum teufel sind sie? " I cursed. ((damn sunglasses where the hell are they?))
"Now there's no need for that kind of language mister." a familiar voice scolded.
"den Mund halten Screwball." I growled. ((Shut up))
She grinned while I patted around for my sunglasses yet again, "Now is that anyway to talk to an old friend Nightly?" Screwball replied with a smug grin still on her face.
"Give me mein damn sunglasses Screwball, unt I might be a slight bit more happy to see you." I growled out.
I felt my sunglasses get put back in their rightful spot and open my eyes to see Applejack, a disappointed looking Screwball, the woman with the yellow hoodie, and two others that I didn't recognize all sitting in a couch across from me. Screwball was in a purple long-sleeved shirt, black jeans with a charm hanging from one of the pockets that was a gift from me a few years ago, and a beanie that could allow her to fly without wings (I don't understand the machinery at all) . She had purple hair with white lines on the edges and purple eyes, but the strange thing about her eyes was that there were no pupils, there were only literal whirlpools of green and white. It reminded me of a hipno-disc.
I smiled a bit upon seeing Screwball, she was an old friend from many years ago, and she was the daughter of Discord which I found quite interesting. I turned my gaze to the other two girls one had a white sundress had matching hat over her purple, curly, hair. She also had a wand a in holster along her thigh that meant she was a magic user. The other was wearing a cyan tank-top and shorts with fingerless gloves on her hands. She had wings so she was a flyer. The most noticeable thing about her was the fact that she had hair that was every color of the rainbow. The girl in the yellow hoodie was hiding behind Applejack, but when I looked I could see wings on her back. 'Two flyers, an earther, and a magic user, that's an odd bunch.'
"So Miss Applejack, are you going to introduce me to your friendz?"
"What, I don't get a "hello"?" Screwball complained. A devilish idea popped popped in my head so I turned my head towards her wearing a warm smile.
"Gutentag old friend, I've missed you ze most out of our little group." I said walking up to her with a sly grin. Her face got tinted red at my comment, "oh...um....thank you Nightly". I chuckled a her embarrassment, "I love making you get all embarrassed. You know I thought zat you'd let go of zat little crush you had on me,fraulein ." I spoke adding emphasis a the last word.
Screwball's face got redder than before, "S-shut up!"
I laughed at her a bit then turned my attention back to Applejack, "So who are zhese three Miss Applejack?"
The one with rainbow hair walked up first and stuck her chest up in a prideful manor, "I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer in Equestria and captain of the weather team here in Ponyville. I'm sure you've heard of me." 'Well this one leaks pride.'
"Can't say I have." she just gave a disappointed sigh.
"Vell maybe ve can race some time unt you can prove zat Miss Dash." I tipped my hat to greet her.
"Nightly don't do that. I've seen you race and you take things too far." Screwball gave me a look that said "NO!" in five different languages.
Rainbow Dash just gave us a confused look a took a step back next to Applejack, then the woman in the sundress stepped forward.
"My name is Rarity darling. I run the Carousel Boutique here in Ponyville and I must say WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE CLOTHES THEY"RE SIMPLY DAZZLING." she sticks out her hand eagerly for me to shake. 'Another aura of pride, but I sense an overly large generous aura coming from her also.'
I grab hold of her hand and give it a small kiss, "Gutentag Miss Rarity, unt thank you for ze compliment." I look up and see her blushing extremely so I let go, "It's a pleasure." she spoke in a polite tone, but a blush was still noticeable on her face.
I turn my head to look at Screwball. She was glaring daggers at me, "Vhat'z wrong Screwball? Jealous?" Her face soon became tinted red yet again as I laughed at her.
"N-no it's just no one does that anymore." she argued in an attempt to defend herself.
"Oh is zat right?" I stand up, walked to her, and leaned in close to her ear, "You vish zat vas you zhough don't you?"
This time a small smile accompanied her deep red blush, "Yes I do in-fact." she said loud enough for everyone to hear. I let out a large laugh at her answer.
"Glad to see you're have as much fun as I am, old friend"
Screwball's face turned serious and looked at me, "What are you doing here Nightly? It's not like you to come visit me unless there's a job from Celestia." she spoke in a hushed tone.
"You see right through me." I sigh and pull out a scroll "Ja' zhere'z a job and he'z in zhis town."
"Then why'd you come to me and not Luna?"
"Because ze target izn't zat tough, I could beat him vithout help, and I really did vant to see you again." I finish with a small smile.
Screwball returned the smile, "Thanks boss, so who's the target?" she asks with her best buisness face (which is accually very cute).
"I'll tell you later, okay?" I give her a small pat on the head then put away the scroll.
I turn my attention back to the others and they were all looking at me with confused expressions, "Vhat?"
"What'd ya' say ta' Screwball?" Applejack asked with a confused look still clear on her face.
"Not telling."
"Jerk." I shrugged and turned my head to the woman in the yellow hoodie, "Vhat's your name ma'am?"
The woman flinched, let out a adorable "Eep!" and hid behind Applejack. "Ah'll answer for her. Her names Fluttershy and she takes care of animals from the Everfree." Appleajck said with an annoyed expression
"How appropriately named."
"That's what we said when we first met her." Applejack agreed.
"It'z nice to meet you Miss Fluttershy." I extend my hand out to shake hands, but just let out a barely audible "hi" then continued hiding.
I let out a sigh at the shear hopelessness at trying to get her to speak then turn my attention back to Applejack, "So vhat did you say abou-" Then out of nowhere a dark purple flash of light showed up in-front of me blinding me even with my sunglasses. "Zet de verdomde licht uit! " I shout covering my eyes. ((Not telling :P))
"Girls! I came as fast as I could, how's Pinkie?" a new voice shouts, clearly ignoring me.
My vision clears up as I continuously rub my eyes, "Pinkie's fine Twi, but ya' may want ta' apologize fer' blinding her savior."
She turns her head towards me with a slight look of shock, while I look at her appearance. She's wearing a purple t-shirt underneath a purple and pink plad vest, dark blue jeans with a royal symbol stitched on one of the legs. Her hair was purple with a pink highlight in the middle. I noted the wand holster on her side then decided to speak.
"Gutentag ma'am." I greet with a tip of my hat.
"Uh...hi." she replies never taking her eyes off you. A strange silence followed for several moments until Applejack finally spoke up, "...Twi um this is Nightly he saved Pinkie from a bunch of kidnappers."
"Are you sure we can trust him Applejack?" uhh Twi asked Applejack without even taking her eyes off me.
My eye twitched a bit from under my sunglasses in annoyance. 'Applejack already pulled this crap with me and now it's starting to get old!'
I sigh and look Twi in the eye, "Ma'am I vas coming to Ponyville to make a job offer for mein friend here," I gestured to Screwball, "I vasn't here during ze' time she vas kidnapped except vhen rescued her."
She seemed un-convinced by my explanation, "That still doesn't prove that you didn't plan it or something. I have to think about all possibilities for the safety of my friends."
'What? Is this some kind of a joke?' I sigh, "Du musst mich verarschen werden. " I say aloud and start walking away from the group.
"Nightly, where are you going darling?" Rarity asked stepping in my way.
"Mein patience is vearing thin. I've been accused of kidnapping tvice today, so I'm going to get a hotel to sleep in." I turn my head to face Twi and Applejack, "Vhere hopefully I von't get accused of something I haven't done." Both the girls withered under my glare from behind my sunglasses that they knew was directed towards them. I now turn my head to Screwball, "Screwball you can come vith me if you vant, but I don't care."
Rarity steps out of my way and I make my way through the doors. "Nightly what do we tell Pinkie when she wakes up?" Rainbow Dash asks just before I leave the door.
"Tell her I vanted to buy something for her." I reply simply. She nods and turns her head back to her friends. I just keep moving to something to relieve my stress, cause right now I need something to shoot at.
'This was just supposed to be a simple in out job then I get my payment and spend some time with Screwball, now it's just getting annoying to the point where I just want to leave and forget about it.'
I pull out my scroll from my jacket and decide since I'm here I should start looking for him.

'Armed and dangerous, oh please if the people I was after weren't my job wouldn't be fun.' I rolled the scroll back up and placed it back in my jacket pocket. 'Well I guess I'd better find a place to live, maybe I should give Pinkie a present first though.'
I looked around where I was and saw a flower stand, a giant tree with a sign in front that said Ponyville Library, and finally a giant gingerbread house with a sign that said Sugarcube Corner. 'I bet Pinkie would like to have some sweets, especially from where she works and maybe a rose, she doesn't seem to be the reading type.'
I started to walk towards Sugarcube Corner and enter through the door.
"Hello dearie, how can I help you?" a woman greeted from behind a counter. This place looked relatively normal, except for the fact that I walked into a real version of the game Candyland. In front of the entrance was a counter with two people sitting there obviously bored. To my left was an archway that led into an area full of tables and booths with about ten people eating.
"I'd like ze best snack you have here please." I ask reaching into my pocket for my money bag, but then felt something sharp against my back.
"EVERYONE DON'T MOVE UNLESS YOU WANT THIS MAN TO DIE!" a man shouted from behind me. A restaurant getting robbed by one man with a knife. The saddest part was everyone was cowering under their tables. Now if that's not pathetic I don't know what is.
Are you kidding me? I sigh and walk towards the counter, ignoring the moron with a knife. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?" he shouted from behind me.
I turn my head "Getting mein food, trottel. " I respond with a bored tone. ((moron))
The moron didn't even bother to wear a mask so it gave me enough time to observe his features. He wore a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The thing that caught my attention though was the fact he matched the description of the target. 'Well this is sure convinient.'
My lips curve into a big smile as I stare at him which made him nervous. "You know for a former commando you sure are a blödmann ." I comment with the smile I had growing bigger and bigger.
Rumble's eyes widened, "H-how do you know about that?" his grip grew tighter on the knife he was holding.
I reach into my pocket and pull out my scroll and start reading the information out loud to him as I lean on the counter, and with each word his grip became tighter on his knife, until it became so tight you'd think the handle would snap.
"I vill give you two choices right now, vone: Run avay or charge me unt zhen you'll go to ze Canterlot dungeon vithout your armz, or two: you make zhis easier on yourself unt let me take you to Canterlot vhere ze Princesses can handle it from zhere. Personally, I hope you'll resist, it'z more fun." I explain with a almost deranged smile.
Rumble relaxed at my explanation and got ready to attack. 'Apparently he thinks that he can take me. BIG mistake.'

Chapter 4 Target Acquired
((This is gonna be in third person because I cannot make first person fight scenes to save my life))
Rumble was the first one to make a move. He charged Nightly in an attempt to stab him in the chest and end it quickly, but failed as Nightly side-stepped and brought his elbow down on the back of his head, sending him into the tile floor. Before Rumble could pick himself back up Nightly delivered a swift kick to his chest, sending him flying outside (through a closed door) into the middle of the square, attracting the attention of everyone passing by.
Nightly pulled out his wand and pointed it at Rumble enveloping him in his magical hold and lifting him up ten feet in the air with a flick of his wrist, and slamming him into the ground. After repeating the process ten times Nightly finally stopped and put away his wand.
'No way! This can't be happening! He can't be beating me! I'm a former commando for Celestia's sake!' Rumble thought with frustration.
Rumble turned his head and glared daggers at Nightly who was walking slowly towards him with his hands in his jacket pockets (whistling the Clint Eastwood theme). 'What the hay?! Is he even taking this fight seriously?'
Nightly stopped walking about ten feet from where he was laying, "Are you giving up yet?" he asked in a bored tone.
"No way in hell! That was a fluke!" Rumble shakily stood back up and took up a fighting stance.
Nightly sighed and looked directly back at him, "You don't get it. Sie sind unterlegen .((You're outmatched))
"No! I refuse to lose to you! I'm not going to be beaten by another one of Celestia's dogs!" Rumble yelled with anger. Nightly could almost feel something snap after that sentence and soon fell silent
He simply stared at Rumble with an unreadable expression. "Vhat did you just say to me veakling?" Nightly spoke with spite laced in each and everyone of his words.
"You heard me you stupid, d-" Rumble was cut off as Nightly wrapped his hand around his throat.
"You don't get to speak to me like zat you useless coward!" Nightly yelled as he tightened his hold on Rumble's throat. "I serve novone! You hear me trottel ?"
Rumble couldn't do anything except stare a Nightly and cough out random curses at him before being silenced by a hard punch to his right temple knocking him out instantly.
"Fricken idioten "

Nightly POV
'That was probably the most boring fight I've had with a target ever.' I drop Rumble onto the ground and look around. There are at least twenty people staring with fear and shock at me (except one girl with wall eyes who looked more confused than scared). Every time I so much as glanced in their direction they would avoid my gaze (except for the wall eyed girl)
In the end I just sigh and sling Rumble nonchalantly over my shoulder and walk back into Sugarcube Corner. I focus back on the couple behind the counter who are just staring at me shock.
'Uh, maybe I shouldn't have kicked him out the door. I knocked it off the bloody hinges.'
"Sorry about ze mess, how much for mein food and ze damagez ma'am?" I ask ignoring their shock completely.
No response. "Hello~?" They finally snap out their shock.
"I-I'm sorry, what did you say sir?" the woman asks.
"Um...how much?"
"Absolutely nothing!"
I blinked in confusion at her, "I'm sorry, I think I misheard you. Can you say zat again."
"You just saved us from that robber your holding, so I won't charge you." she explained with a smile as the man left to get whatever I ordered.
"Um...vell thank you."
"It's no problem son, now have a nice day now." the man said with warm smile, as he handed me my order.
"Danke "
'They were nice.' My shopping trip was rather uneventful after I left Sugarcube Corner. Minus a couple stares I bought a pink rose and I'm now on my way back to the hospital without a hitch this time. The order (which was apparently a cupcake) is in my hand while the rose is floating alongside me. 'I feel like I'm forgetting something.'
After about five minutes of thinking I eventually give up and start walking towards the front doors of the hospital. When I open the door everyone was still there in the waiting room in the seats except they wore looks of shock when they saw me walk in (except for Screwball). 'Did they not expect me to come back?'
"Uh...Gutentag, can I help you?"
No response. It doesn't even seem like they even looking at me. It wasn't until I followed their looks towards Rumble 'oh'. "Zhis iz Rumble he tried to rob a place called Sugarcube Corner, so I kicked his ass."
"So why is he with you?" Twi asked never taking her eyes off us.
"Classified."
"What do you mean classified? Are you a spy?" Rainbow asked with suspicion.
".......Vhat?"
"Ignore the last part. What do ya mean classified?" Applejack asked.
"I mean classified. It'z very simple."
Screwball stood and started walking towards me. "Boss why didn't you call me? I could've helped with the target." The puppy dog eyes, Must.....Not.......Look......damnit
"He should vake up soon if you vant to take a sving at him." Damn you Screwball.
Almost on cue I heard a groan come from Rumble. 'Good, I was starting to get tired of carrying him around' I put my hand on my spell gun just in case he tried to fight again.
"*groan* Where am I?" he was either very groggy or very unobservant, either way Screwball won't have much of a fight from him since I didn't have that much fun. I drop him onto floor so he can see who carried him.
"Oh how ze mighty have fallen." I can't help, but smirk at the terrified expression on his face. "Vhat? Are you not happy to see me?" I ask with mock hurt.
"No, I'm not, German!" I let out a small chuckle.
"Zat'z good, because Screwball here vanted to play unt I don't like you anyvay."
I look at Screwball, and she's jumping in excitement. "Yay! Yay! YYYaaaaayyyyy~! Thank you so much Nightly!" she jumped at me and wrapped her arms around me in a hug continuously thanking me and nuzzling me with her head.
I think for a quick moment about what I just did as she thanks me: I just released the Daughter of the Chaos God Discord on an average mortal. 'Ok maybe I should change my meaning.'
"Um Screwball maybe you should vait until ve reach Canterlot ja'?" she stopped hugging and looked up at me in confusion.
"Why?"
"I'd razher not have Celestia mad at me and revoke my payment because you got carried avay fighting him." I deadpanned.
"Awww come oooon I won't get carried away I promise!"
I simply stared at her with no emotion. "Awww fine, jerk!"
"Call me vhat you vant It von't change my mind."
"I see thou art still getting along well Nightly! " a familiar (very loud) voice shouted.
'It's been a while since I heard that voice.' I turn my head to face my old friend.
"Gutentag Luna."

Luna's standing at the entrance of the hospital looking very happy to see me. She's wearing a casual sundress and no crown, it must be her time off today, either that or she snuck out of the castle......again. Her light blue hair is rather messy and ungroomed. 'Did she stay up all day playing videogames again?'
"Hello to thou too Nightly ." I cringe slightly at the 'Royal Canterlot Voice' it's not as loud as it should be, but it's still pretty loud.
"Luna vhy are you using zat voice?"
"Tis traditional when addressing our subjects ." 'she's still using that stupid excuse?!'
"Vell I'm not vone of your subjectz, I'm your friend and so is Screwball, so please stop it." I practically plead.
She thinks about it for a moment, "Alright Nightly only for you." I let out a small smile at her for using her regular voice. 'THANK GOD!'
Screwball jumped up with happiness behind us then tackle-hugged Luna, "Yay! The team's all here!" she exclaimed in her chipper tone. 'Maybe not all of us, but yes it's been a while.'
"Yes, I must say it's good to see you two after so long." Luna agreed as she returned the hug for a while until I pulled Screwball off her.
"Ja' sehr gut , by ze vay Luna vhy are you here?" I ask changing the subject.
"Oh yes, I came here because I heard one of the Elements of Harmony was saved by a stranger from the Everfree Forest, so I wanted to visit her to see how she's doing."
'That tale sounds all too familiar.'
"Luna vhat vas zhis girl'z name?"
"Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter, why?" she turned her gaze to my gifts and the man cowering in-between me and Screwball, "Okay maybe I should ask why you're here, Nightly. I can understand why there's a cowering man here, but you never were one for sweets or flowers." she shot me a suspicious look.
'Huh so Pinkie was an Element....wow.'
"I saved her in ze forest zhis morning, how did ze newz travel so fast?"
Screwball shrugged, "Small town?"
Twi (seriously what the hell is her name) stepped forward and tapped my shoulder, "Um...I made my assistant Spike send a letter to Princess Celestia about Pinkie return."
"How? Normal mail can't reach her. Unless you have a direct magical line to her, of course." she nods at me and I just cock my head in confusion.
'hmm...Is she?'
"Ma'am may I ask your name please?" she nods.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle, I'm Princess Celestia's Royal Student. Now I want to ask you: Who are you and what are you doing here?." she counters.
'Huh, she still doesn't trust me. I guess that the others are the rest of the Elements if they're here to see Pinkie and haven't left yet.
I let out a sigh, "Mein name is Nightly unt Celestia vantz zhis "man" brought in for desertion and murder." she seemed to flinch at the word murder, but I just shrugged it off, "Zhen I'll spend mein time vith Screwball vhen I get mein pay.
"You say that, but you don't look much like a guard." Rainbow pointed out.
'Wait, they think that I'm...' I fell on the floor laughing loudly at the mere thought of me in that stupid armor which made me laugh louder. Soon enough Luna and Screwball got the same thought and joined in laughing loudly, while the other five gave us looks of confusion.
"What's so dang funny?" Rainbow said with a huff.
"Y-y-you...really...think zat I'm a guard, really?"
"Yes." I pause my laughter.
"Really?" they nod.
I burst out laughing again with Luna and Screwball rolling around me this time.
Rainbow Dash apparently had enough of our laughing, "Okay, what's so bucking funny?!"
"You think zat I'm a guard. I find zat funny. Tell me have you ever heard the term bounty hunter?" everyone except Twilight shake their heads then Twilight gave me look that said "Are you crazy?".
"Are you crazy?" (see?) "Bounty hunting was banned 50 years ago. You can't be a bounty hunter."
"That may be true Twilight Sparkle, but my dear sister hired Nightly as the exception." Luna steps in.
"Why? What makes this him the exception? Why is he so special?" Twilight argues clearly losing patience with the secrets.
I flash her a light grin, "Classified." I say with the grin never leaving my face.
She turns her head to me shoot me a glare then turned to Luna with hope that she would tell her, "Princess?". Luna simply shook her head.
"Why is he so special? Is it because he's fast? If so I wanna race 'em" Rainbow added in. She was quickly silenced by looks from everyone.
I raise my hands up gesturing them to calm down, "Listen I'll give you all vhy if you promise not to be mad." they nod then give me eager looks, "I'm ze exception because mein power is equal to if not more powerful zhan ze Elementz." I was instantly met with all five of them breaking their promises.
"What the hay do ya' mean you're more powerful that's impossible!" Applejack yelled. 'I just won't respond to that one.'
"You've got some nerve to say that in front of me Nightly." Rainbow Dash threatened. '...'
"I must disagree also." Rarity added. 'That has been the most respectful one so far.'
Fluttershy hid behind Twilight after all the yelling started. 'No scratch that, THIS one has been the most respectful.'
"Nightly you can't be more powerful it's magically impossible, right princess?" Luna remained quiet, "Right?" Nothing.
I had an idea on how she could prove that and it made me smile. "If you truly feel zat vay zhen fight me. Each of you have ze exact power as your Element, ze jewelery is just a vay to release it." I explain with my excited smile never leaving my face. They exchanged glances giving me a determined look.
"We accept." Twilight announces.
"Bring it on!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed cracking her knuckles.
"Ah'll buck ya' to next Tuesday." Applejack said darkly.
Rarity and Fluttershy looked rather unsure. 'I guess they didn't want this....sorry for what I'm gonna do.'
"Let'z go zhen."
((Yes I'm making Nightly and five of the Mane six fight each other or maybe I'll just have RD, AJ, and Twi do it. You all can decide for me.))

In the end it turns out that Fluttershy and Rarity didn't want to fight so I let them sit this one out.
"I'm sorry Twilight." Fluttershy apologised weakly.
"Yes, very sorry darling." Rarity added.
"It's okay you two, me, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash should be able to handle this." Twilight reassured.
"Yeah, we'll wipe the floor with this guy!" Rainbow boasted
We decided to do the fight in a clearing outside of town, according to Rainbow Dash she does her training there. I left my gifts for Pinkie for the doctors to give to her. Luna was against this, but her tries to stop us was immediatally ignored for I was too excited and the girls were far too determined to prove me wrong. Screwball wanted to fight with me, but I told her just to watch Rumble with Luna (she could see the fight from a window anyway). The clearing's right outside the hospital so it didn't take too long for us to get there. The girls decided to discuss strategy away from me so I decided to get some sleep while that happened. I layed down in the grass and rested my eyes for about ten minutes before I felt someone nudge me.
"We're ready to go." Twilight announced. I could feel a excited smile come onto my face as I stood up. Applejack looked unsure about something while everyone else had an aura of confidence around them.
I took off my spell gun and wand and tossed it to the side then I put my hands in my pockets. "I'll let you all have ze first move."
((Third person time))
The girls didn't question Nightly. They charged him all at once. Rainbow Dash and Applejack attacked his sides while Twilight fired multiple magical beams at him, but Nightly didn't do anything he just stood there and let Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight land blow after blow on him. What made them worried though was: He took each blow with a smile on his face. The merciless onslaught of attacks came at him until they thought it was time to end it.
Applejack kicked Nightly into the air, then Rainbow Dash flew up to him while he was flying and threw him back down to the floor, finally Twilight launched a more powerful beam at the spot he landed in causing a large cloud of dust to appear and block their vision of him. They stared at the cloud of dust waiting for it to clear to see if they hurt him too badly.
"Ha! There's no way he's still awake after the beating we gave him!" Rainbow Dash concluded.
"Yeah, he was all talk after all." Applejack added.
"Yes. Now let go see how he's..." Twilight was interrupted by the sound of laughter. But it wasn't like a funny joke laughter, it was like something sinister. ((For better understanding of what the laughter sounded like click here ))
They looked at the cloud to see Nightly standing in the middle of the cloud laughing loudly. Nightly lost his hat and sunglasses so they had a full view of his eyes and hair, and they were terrified.
Nightly's eyes are blood red with reptilian slits instead of pupils. His hair changed while in the dust cloud from black with red highlights to all red, but Nightly's smile was scaring the girls the most, it looked like he was enjoying this.
"Zat vas a good try but..." Nightly's eyes shrunk and his smile widened, "it vasn't enough."
Nightly began walking towards the girls with his hands in his pockets, but none of them did anything. Nightly's face terrified them, it was practically daring them to make a move, so they stayed put to see what he does. Nightly stopped around five meters in front of the girls.
Nightly turned his head towards Rainbow Dash and widened his smile, "Sie " he muttered. Then Rainbow Dash was sent flying through the air, but he seemingly didn't touch her, which left Applejack and Twilight confused
Meanwhile at the hospital
Luna, Screwball, Rarity, and Fluttershy saw the entire thing. Luna was worried about Rainbow, Screwball was enjoying every second of it, and Rarity and Fluttershy were wondering what just happened. Luna put Rumble to sleep because she was getting tired of his screaming. Screwball was sitting closest to the window with a bag of popcorn in her hands, watching the scene unfold.
"What did he do to Rainbow Dash?" Rarity asked no one in particular.
"It looked like he sent her flying just by looking at her." Fluttershy added.
"Nope, that was Nightly's Iai Fist." Screwball explained with a smile, but never turned her attention away from the fight.
"I'm sorry darling, but what is an 'Iai Fist'?" Rarity asked with genuine curiosity.
Luna stepped forward, "The Iai Fist is an extremely fast punch or punches where the user puts his hands in their pockets and sends out punches invisible to the naked eye at a range from five to twelve meters. You normally have to magically power yourself up to do this move, but Nightly created this move without any magical help. What you're seeing now is pure physical power."
"Yep, cause if Nightly put any magic behind those punches, it's force would be equivalent to a cannon shot." Screwball tossed in with a happy smile.
Fluttershy and Rarity gaped at the end of the explanation. 'How could one person hold that much power?' they both thought in unison.
Back in the field
Twilight and Applejack didn't know what to do, Rainbow Dash was knocked out after Nightly fired the Iai Fist, and they still had no idea what he did in the first place. After noticing Rainbow Dash was unconsious his smile died down a little, "No fun." he muttered to himself taking his hands out of his pockets.
"Vell if zhis move vill just knock you all out vith vone punch zhen I von't use zat." Nightly muttered lowly with boredom clear in his voice, and it made the girls extremely irritated.
'Let's see if I can't use that then I'll have to aim for something easier for them or this won't be much fun. oh well hand-to-hand is good too.' Nightly thought for a moment before a lightning bolt struck him on the side of his head.
He he shook it of and turned his head towards Applejack and Twilight, they were glaring at him with such intensity it would any normal person scared, but it just made Nightly excited. His smile returned and at the sight of it it made Twilight and Applejack even more angry.
Applejack charged Nightly. She prepared a punch to his face, but Nightly caught it before it could land. Applejack prepared another punch, but Nightly quickly kneed her in her stomach making her bend over. To finish her Nightly clasped his hands together and brought them down onto the back of her head, knocking her out instantly. He let out a satisfied smile before getting hit in the stomach with another beam.
'Those things are starting to get annoying.' Nightly charged at Twilight with an annoyed scowl clear on his face. Twilight knew she couldn't beat him in a hand-to-hand fight so she prepared a teleportation spell to escape, but when Nightly came up to her he grabbed her wand out of her hand and delivered a kick to the chest, knocking the wind out of her. She tried to step back, but Nightly grabbed her head a brought it up to his. She got a good look at him for a minute or two, his crazy smile was gone instead it was replaced by a gentle grin, his eyes had gone back to his normal large, blood red, reptilian eyes, his hair returned to their noraml colors, and all and all Twilight thought he was pretty handsome. She soon felt a blush creeping onto her face when she realised how close their faces were from each other, she tried to struggle out of his grasp, but Nightly didn't let go.
"Sorry about zhis." he said with a slight frown.
At first Twilight didn't know what he meant, until he brought his head back and slammed it into hers knocking her out.

I set Twilight down on the grass and then started rubbing my head after the headache I just gave myself.
'Ugh nobody wins with a headbutt.'

I glanced down at Twilight's body, then Applejack's, and finally Rainbow Dash. All of them were knocked out cold. I let out a small sigh and look back up at the hospital. Screwball was making her way towards me with a goofy smile on her face.
"Great job, Nightly. Now come on Celestia's shown up now, and she's not happy." she spoke, slowly losing her smile.
'Should've expected as much.' I turn around and glance at their bodies, "Vhat about zhem?"
"The hospital is sending someone to wake them up, it should only take a couple minutes, then you can say sorry."
"Alright, let'z go." We walked towards the front of the hospital where sure enough Celestia was waiting for us, with an unhappy frown, a large box levitating next to her, and two guards on each side of her. '...I'm starting to have second thoughts'
"Nightly, come here." Celestia ordered without looking at me. 'Too late to leave now.'
"Gutentag Celestia." I say casually.
"Save it, Nightly. Why am I hearing from Luna and Miss Screwball that you save one then fought three of my Elements of Harmony?" she asked sternly.
"I challenged zhem and zhey accepted. Zhat iz all." This won't work, but it's the best I got.
Celestia didn't even look surprised (then again she knows me quite a bit).
She sighed then rubbed the bridge of her nose with two fingers, "I...I'm not even shocked to hear that Nightly. The problem is how are you going to pay them back?"
"Huh? Pay zhem back? For vhat?"
"You technically fought high ranking nobles, so I'm asking you now, what are you going to do?" I sigh and repeat Celestia's motion.
"Pay zhem back..." I scratch the back of my head in thought, "How ze hell am I gonna do zhat?"
Celestia started rummaging through the box and pulled out a small violin case, "Start by using this." she handed me the violin, "It's been tuned and cleaned just for you."
I smile a bit at her, "You just vant to hear me play again don't you?" she nodded. I brighten my smile and open the case. The violin is shining dark brown with polish, and next to it is a bow ready to be used.
"It'z not mine, but it vill do."
Celestia and Screwball went into the hospital with excited looks on their faces. The guards stayed outside the doors to watch for 'suspicious people'. Come-on, it's a hospital for God's sake! I decided to stay outside and try out my new violin. I think of a song and begin to play.
I cast a repeat spell on the violin and a volume enhancement spell so everyone could hear. At first it started off with a few test notes, then I began to play the real thing .
Meanwhile in the hospital.
Twilight POV
'Ugh, why does my head hurt?' I feel like I got hit with a comet...no not a comet, a certain red eyed bounty hunter's head.
I let out a low groan and raise my hand to rub where he hit. "Hey, she's awake!" I hear a voice called out.
I touch where Nightly hit only to feel something cotton-like and a slight sting of pain. I groaned again and opened my eyes. Around me was everyone, even Pinkie (although she was in a wheelchair). Apparently I'm in the hospital in one of their beds.
"It's good to see you're awake Twilight." a familiar voice rings out. All of us turn our head to see Princess Celestia standing in the doorway with a smile. Everyone bowed except for me and Pinkie.
My teacher was wearing a golden crown and necklace, she wore a casual white sundress and brown sandals which were made for visits to friends. Her multicolored hair was flowing with a nonexistent breeze (she never explain how to me).
"Please, don't bow this is supposed to be a normal meeting. Also I'd like to apologize for something."
The made all of us confused, "Apologize fer what, Princess?" Applejack asked
"I'd like to apologize for Nightly's behavior and for not warning you of his coming." she explained with head held slightly low.
"Why would you warn us?" I asked.
"Nightly has a tendency to do many things off track once he's completed a mission. For instance one time when Nightly left to capture one target he ended up sending his target through many buildings which angered the entire town. They tried to violently make him leave, but each and every attempt to kick him out was immediately crushed. When we arrived half the town's population were in hospitals and Nightly was in a bar waiting for either me or another attempt to kick him out."
We stared wide-eyed at her as if she were telling us a lie. "Why would he do that?" I ask still not believing what I heard.
Celestia sighed and pulled a bottle of pills out of her dress, "Because he didn't have this at the time."
Screwball and Luna's eyes widened at the sight of the bottle, "Tia, why do you have those?"
"Nightly left them at his apartment when he left."
"Uh sorry to interrupt, but what exactly are those?" I ask, quite lost.
"Oh sorry Twilight we got ahead of ourselves." Celestia turned to give me a better view of the bottle, "These are suppression pills, it's a special medicine made specifically for Nightly, to suppress..." She trailed off and put a hand over her ear and listened for a moment and I did the same.
What I heard was the most beautiful violin playing. It sounded like there was more than one player, more like an entire band playing outside. Celestia, Screwball, and Luna all had their eyes closed listening to the music. My friends were amazed at the song that was so masterfully played they walked to the window to see who was playing, that's when jaws hit the floor. Everyone stared at whoever was outside in disbelief, and I became curious.
Upon standing up the song seemingly reached it's climax, I heard a unbelievably large amount beautiful violin work and when I reached the window I couldn't believe my eyes. Nightly was standing there with his eyes closed, drawing the bow across the string effortlessly, and showing a face of complete peace.
'He looks rather handsome like that.' I gasp, realizing what I thought, 'No, don't think like that he's a violent person and can't be trusted!'
I shook my head to clear it out of my head, then I noticed something, "Where's Screwball?"
We all looked around for a bit until the Princesses pointed out the window at Nightly. I laughed at what I saw.
Screwball was slow dancing with no-one above Nightly. It looked like her beanie was keeping her in the air.
'It's strange Nightly is violent, but he seems to be truly enjoying himself.'
Nightly POV
I open my eyes and turn them towards Screwball who was hovering above me cheering, giving whoops and yells. I give a slight bow and turn my attention back to the hospital where everyone with the exception of Luna, Pinkie, and Celestia were standing slack-jawed at my performance. I covered my mouth to stop my laughter, but I ultimately failed and was immediately on the ground laughing.
After about 5 minutes of laughing at them I regained my composure and turned towards them smirking, "Vhat? Are you really zat surprised?"
They all nod, which causes my smile to disappear. 'Stupid prejudice bastards.'
