Finding a Job/A Fairy Tale
I closed the car door, as the the girls buckled themselves in and placed the sheet over their tail fins. I also gave them towels to dry themselves off, which were in the trunk because every once in a while I go to the beach.
Before I placed the key in the ignition, I smelled a terrible stench. I nearly gaged from the smell.
"Good God, what is that smell?" I said, as I pressed a button beside me to pull down all four of the cars windows.
I turned around and saw the girls holding their noses. The smell was much stronger and I can clearly tell that it's the girls that smell bad.
"You girls are going in the tub before bedtime," I said, as I turned forward and started the car.
"We will, but after we have tacos," said Sonata while holding her nose closed.
"I'll leave the windows open to let most of the stink out," I said, as I turned the car around and headed towards the town.
5 Minutes Later...
"This is delicious Jake," said Sonata, as she took another bite into her taco, "Also, glad most of that stench is gone."
"Me too," I replied, before taking a sip of my coke.
"Us as well," said the other two sirens with their mouths full.
As I looked back at the girls, they gave me such cute smiles. Another thing was… I can totally see their nipples out from their wet shirts. I turned around and exhaled.
"Something wrong, Jake?" asked Adagio.
"N-nothing's wrong Adagio, but I want you girls to put on dry clothes when we get back," I said, as I looked back at them, before taking another bite into my burrito.
"How come? I like this shirt," said Aria before eating her last bite.
"Your shirts are wet… and your nipples are showing," I said, as my face flushed.
The girls looked down at their shirts and noticed two little dots on their breasts.
"Are theses nipples?" asked Sonata, as she poked it.
"Y-yes and please d-don't do that in public. It's weird," I said, as the girls looked away from their breasts.
"Sorry. We're still trying to get used to your society," said Adagio, as she and her sisters crumpled up their garbage.
"Here, hand that to me," I said, as I gave my hand out to them, "I'll throw them away."
They gave me their garbage, except for their drinks, which they can drink along the way home. I walked out and threw them into a nearby garbage bin. I walked back and the girls fastened their seat belts.
"Let's go home," I said, as the car started, "And I'll put on some tunes."
I took out my phone and connected it to my vehicle. I opened my music and played the song All of You.

"Nice tune," said Adagio, as I reversed the car and then onto the highway.
"What's this song called?" asked Aria.
"It's called 'All of You'," I replied.
"I like the sound of that."
"Where have you heard this song before?" asked Sonata.
"I heard it from a movie called Heavy Metal."
"Can we see that?" asked Aria.
"No yet… you ladies aren't ready for that movie yet," I said, before stopping at a stoplight.
"Aw, come on," said Sonata with a pout.
"My house, my rules," I informed her before the light went green.
As a minute of silence passed, Aria began singing along with the song.
"I've got to have alllllll offfff youuuuuuu~"
Because of her, her sisters and I sung along:
All of your lovin', all of your huggin', all of your kisses too
I've got to have allllll offfff youuuu~
Every day, in every way, now, no one else will do~"
As we arrived back home, the girls and I got out of the car and headed up the stairs. We walked into my room and I pulled out three dry shirts.
"Adagio, I want you to take the shower first before Aria and Sonata," I said, as Adagio placed her shirt on the bed.
Aria and Sonata put on dry shirts after taking off their almost dry shirts and placing them at the edge of my bed.
"Aria, Sonata."
"Yes?" said both Aria and Sonata.
"I want you girls to stay downstairs and watch some TV until your turns come up."
"Yes, Sir," said Aria and Sonata before they float downstairs and turned on the TV, which sounded like they were watching Dinosaur.
"Okay Adagio, I want you to come with me," I said, as she and I walked into the bathroom.
I moved the shower curtains aside and pointed out to her the shower handle.
"You pull it a little till the water comes on," I said, as water starts coming in the tub, "You turn this handle left for cold water and you turn it right for warm water."
"The water can get warm? Gross," said Adagio, as she gagged.
"Oh no no no no," I said, as I waved my hands at her, "It's nothing like that. I swear."
"You sure?"
"I'm not lying."
"… Okay, I trust you."
I turned the handle to the right, as the water went to my favorite temperature.
"Stick your hand there, it feels nice," I said, as Adagio stuck her hand out to feel the waters warmth.
"Wow, that feels warm," said Adagio with a purr.
"Glad you like it," I said with a smile, "I know this would sound weird, but please take your shirt off and hand it to me."
"Okay, no problem," said Adagio, as she began taking her shirt off.
I looked away, until Adagio handed me the shirt. I placed it near the sink and reached for the handle of the tub to let the water flow into the tub for about four to five minutes.
"Okay, now slowly get in the tub," I said, as the water stop pouring.
Adagio slowly levitated over the tub and fell into it slowly and calmly.
"Ahhhhhhh," said Adagio, as she shut her eyes, "this is relaxing."
"Now that you feel relaxed, I want you to dip you head back into the water," I asked, as Adagio obeyed, "now stick your head back up."
Adagio sticked her head back up, as her hair became wet and slick. I grabbed ahold of the shampoo and squirted some onto my palm.
"I want you to close your eyes. If you get this shampoo on your eyes, it's gonna hurt. A lot," I said, as Adagio nodded and closed her eyes.
I went through her hair and began cleaning it every crook and nanny. It was a bit difficult to do, but at least it's done. Now comes the part that I'm nervous about.
"Okay… I want you to dunk your head back into the water again and scrub your head," I asked, as Adagio dipped her hair into the water and began scrubbing her head.
She leaned back up and gave me a smile.
"Jake… this is divine," she says with a smile.
"Glad you like it," I said with a smile back at her, "now I'm gonna rub body wash on you so that once I'm done with you, you can teach your sisters what I did for you."
I placed the shampoo back where it was before and grabbed ahold of the body wash that was beside it.
"Oh, God," I thought to myself, as I squirted the body wash onto my hands and rubbed it.
"Is there something wrong? You look as if something bad is gonna happen," asked Adagio.
"Oh no, nothing wrong. It's just… well… I'm gonna rub my hands all over your body," I said, as my face went red.
Adagio blushed, as she looked away from me.
"It's okay… if you want me to be clean, then so be it," said Adagio.
"Okay, here I go," I said with a gulp.
I slowly placed my hand on her arm, which makes Adagio twitch.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Be gentle," she said.
"This is how a lot of porn starts," I thought, before I shook my head to clear my mind away from the dirty thoughts, "No! I shouldn't be thinking like that. I'm just cleaning her."
I moved my hands up to her shoulders and moved my hands back from her shoulders to her arms again.
"Could you move your hair? I need to get your back," I ask, as Adagio gripped onto her hair and pulled it to her left.
I squeezed more body wash on my hands and began cleaning her back. She let out a tiny moan, which made me stop.
"Something wrong?" I ask.
"No. Nothing at all, just keep doing that," she says, as I continue to move my hands all over her back.
I then retracted my hands from her back and began to place my hands onto her chest. I slowly rubbed my hand along her chest, as I began to feel my face get warm.
"I'll just clean your tail instead," I said, as I began to scrub her tail fin.
One bath later…
"How do you feel?" I ask, as Adagio began drying herself off with the towel.
"I feel brand new," she said, as she continued drying her hair, "Aria and Sonata are gonna love this."
"I want you clean them like I did for you, so that you three can clean yourselves without me trying to clean you," I said, as I held out a shirt with Puck on it.
"Thanks for the bath, by the way," she said, as she placed the towel beside her shirt from today and began putting on the shirt.
"Your welcome, Dagi," I said with a smile.
"Dagi? Why did you call me that?"
"I wanna give you a nickname. So I chose Dagi."
"Oh… well thanks," said Adagio, as she gave me a hug.
"Your welcome, Dagi," I said with a smile, as I hugged back.
"Wanna call the girls up?" asks Adagio, as she breaks the hug.
"Sonata! Aria!" I called out.
The girls levitated up and stood in front of the door.
"Yes?" asks Aria.
"I want you two to take a bath. Adagio will help you two out so she can help you two understand how to bathe yourselves."
"You'll love it, girls. You'll feel reborn," said Adagio, trying to excite them.
"Really? Then I wanna go first," said Sonata, as she came in and looked into the tub.
"I'll be downstairs, but I wanna lay some rules before you start. 1. Don't make the ground wet. I don't want to slip and crack my head. Please keep the ground outside of the tub dry, which means no splashing. 2. place your clothes at the edge of the sink. I'll grab ahold of the wet ones and take them downstairs to the washing machine. 3. don't get the towel into the tub. when it's super wet, it's useless to dry yourselves off. 4. I don't want to see a mess with the shampoo and body wash all over the bathroom. Understand?" I ask.
"Yes, Sir," said the three.
I smiled and went back to my room to retrieve both Aria and Sonata's shirts from earlier.
"Enjoy your bath," I said, as I walked down the stairs with their shirts from earlier in my grip.
"We will," said the three before I was out of their sight.
I walked into the garage and placed their clothes into the washing machine and began the machine.
"Now I'll go back upstairs and get my PJs on and depending on how long it will take for those girls to finish, I'll watch a little of Parasyte," I said to myself, as I walked back into the house and walked upstairs.
10 minutes later...
"We're done, Jake!" called out Adagio.
"I'm coming," I said, as I turned off the TV and walked upstairs.
As I saw them in front of the bathroom door, they were sparkling clean. It was as if they went through a car wash.
"You girls look lovely," I said, as the girls gave me blushes.
"Thanks Jake," said the girls.
"All right, time for bed," I said, as The four of us went towards my room.
The girls got in and laid down on the coverless bed. I grabbed ahold of the covers and placed the covers over them.
"You girls feel comfortable?" I asked.
"I'm warm," said Adagio, as she snuggles in the bed.
"I'm good," said Aria.
"Comfy," said Sonata.
"Well… good night girls."
"Wait! Jake!" said Sonata before I could turn off the light, "Could… could you sing us a lullaby?"
"Sure," I said with a smile, as I sit at the edge of the bed.
"A lullaby? I haven't heard when since… since…"said Aria began to shed tears.
Adagio and Sonata hugged her, as they began to shed tears as well.
"Girls… don't cry. I don't like to see you girls cry," I said, as I scooted closer and hugged them, "The lullaby I'll sing to you is one my mother sang to me when I was feeling sad."
The girls looked up to me and wiped the tears off of their faces.
I cleared my throat and began singing:

The girls shed more than ever, as my song came to an end.
"What a great lullaby," said Adagio, as she sniffled.
"It reminds me of mother," said Aria, as she gripped onto me.
"Thank you, Jake," said Sonata, as gobs of tears came flowing out of her eyes.
"Your welcome, girls," I said, as I gave them hugs.
As the girls finished their crying, they lied down and shut their eyes. I smiled and gave them a kiss on their foreheads.
"Good night… my dazzlings," I whispered before leaving the room and heading downstairs.
I laid down on the couch and grabbed ahold of the blanket that my mother made me when I was ten. I then rested my head on a pillow and pressed the on button on the remote. The TV goes on and I pressed play for my recording of Parasyte.
"I… I'm really loving those girls," I thought, as I watched the show.
I woke up and gave out a yawn. I then got up and gave out a good stretch, while looking out the living room windows.
"What a great Friday morning to go out and look for a job," I said, as I stood up, "I think this morning I'll have some cereal."
I walked over to the kitchen while rubbing my eyes to get the sleep out of them; I opened one of the cupboards and took out a box of fruity pebbles and took out a bowl.
"I bet the girls will also love cereal as well," I said to myself, as I poured my cereal into the bowl and then placed the cereal box back into the cupboard.
I walked over to the fridge, poured some milk into my bowl, placed the milk back into the kitchen, then took out a spoon.
"Time for breakfast," I said to myself, as I walked to the dining table and sat down.

I sat on the couch, watching the TV to see what the weather's like today. Looks like it's gonna be around the sixties today.
"That's good temperature while I go around town and find a job," I said, before I heard my bedroom door opening.
I turned around and see the girls levitating towards me with sleep in their eyes.
"Good morning, Jake," said Adagio, as she and her sisters sit on the couch with me.
"Good morning Adagio, Aria, Sonata," I said, as I hugged them, "Would you girls like some cereal?"
"Sure," said Sonata, as she wagged her tail fin.
"Stay here and I'll get you girls come cereal," I said, as I stood up and walked into the kitchen.
"Come and get it," I announced, as the girls sat at the table looking into their bowls.
"What's this?" asks Aria, "Looks like crap."
"Aria!" shouted Adagio, "don't be rude."
"Sorry," apologized Aria.
"Sorry, but no pancakes this morning," I said, as I gave them their spoons, "Your having cereal this morning."
"What's cereal?" asks Sonata.
"It's something we humans eat in the morning. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day."
"Oh… okay," said Sonata, as she looked down at her cereal.
"You'll love it," I said, as Adagio stuck her spoon in the cereal and scooped it up.
Adagio took a bite and her pupils went large. She scooped up more and more in a frenzy.
"Like it?" I asked.
"Yes," said Adagio with milk dripping from her mouth.
"Hehe, your mouth is covered with milk," I chuckled, as I grabbed a napkin and gently cleaned her mouth.
She blushed, as I did the same.
"You two going to eat yours?" I ask, as the Aria and Sonata took a bite into the cereal.
Aria and Sonata had the same expression, but at least unlike Adagio, they ate normally.
"That was delicious," said Sonata, as she, Aria, and Adagio wiped their mouths.
"Glad you girls liked it," I said, as I took their bowls and went to the sink to clean them, "Also, I'll be out most of the day."
"What?!" said the girls, as I turned the sink faucet on and began cleaning the bowls.
"I know, but I told you yesterday that I need to get a job," I said, as I turned off the faucet and placed the bowls into the dish washer.
"What are we to do while you're out?" asks Adagio.
"You are to stay in the house and never come out," I explained, as I sat back down at the table, "I have some rules for you girls to follow while I'm out or when I'm at my job. First off-"
Ten minutes later...
"Do you girls understand?"
"Yes... we understand," said Adagio, as she and the girls looked brain dead.
"Too much for me to remember," said Sonata, as steam came out of her head.
"We get it," said an irritated Aria.
"All right, I want you girls to be cleaned and pampered by the time I get back," I said, as I got up from my chair, "I'm gonna take a shower, put on my suit and tie, walk around town, and find a job. If I find a job, we'll have a nightly surprise down at the beach."
"Really?" said the girls.
"Of course," I said with a smile.
"You're the best, Jake," said Adagio.
"One more thing, before I take a shower, I'm going to teach you girls how to use the remote," I said, as I walked over into the living room.
The girls followed me and sat down on the couch.
"This is the remote, here's how it works," I said, as I pressed the button on the TV, turning it on, "Now, you use this to guide around, you use these buttons to go up and down, if there's something that catches your interest, press this middle button that's between the up and down buttons."
"Got it," said the girls, as I handed the remote to them.
"Good, I'll leave you girls new clothes to wear and you better change the ones you are wearing. If you wear them for too long, they'll smell," I explained before getting upstairs.
9 minutes later...
"All right, girls, I'm going off to find myself a job," I said, as I adjusted my tie, "I'll be back soon."
"See you then, Jake," said The girls, as Adagio flipped through the channels and found Sabrina The Teenage Witch.
"Typical girl show," I thought, as I opened the garage door and walked in, "but... Salem is my favorite character in the show."
I closed the door behind me and pressed the button on my keys to unlock my car. As I got in and buckled up, I pressed the button above me and the garage door opens.
"I can't wait to get paid again," I said to myself, "I'll change my mood from now on and be more responsible with my next job."
As the garage opens up fully, I back up and move out of the garage. I pressed the button above me again to close the door, as I drove away towards town.
15 minutes later...
I arrived at the town and entered a parking. I took a spot, got out the car and locked it.
"What a beautiful day to look for a job," I said, as I walked towards the sidewalk.
I walked along and checked around the windows of establishments and noticed one that was half a mile away. Judging from the look of it, it appears to be a flower shop. It doesn't sound like me, but that's the only place I see that has a 'help wanted' sign on the window.
"Jackpot!" I said, as I walked along the sidewalk to the flower store.
As I walked along, I noticed quite a lot of people out and about. There were children with their parents, boyfriends hanging out with their girlfriends at restaurants, and people holding onto grocery bags from shopping; it was pretty lively today. I then noticed an ice cream store at the corner of my eye on the other side of the street. I stopped and turned my head towards it.
"You know, if we do end up celebrating," I thought, "I'll get the girls some ice cream. Bet they don't serve ice cream in Equestria."
I smiled and continued towards the flower store.
"Hello?" I said, as I opened the door to the establishment, "I saw on your sign that you are in need of employees?"
"Indeed we are," said a feminine voice, "we are in need of someone to help around with the plants."
I turned my head towards her and there was a woman with blonde hair, eyes like the ocean, a freckle on her left cheek, and was wearing a blue suit and a red tie.
"Good to see that we have a man to come to our flower shop in need for a job," said the lady, as she held out her hand to me, "I'm Teresa, the owner of this establishment."
"N-nice to meet you, Teresa, I'm Jake. Jake Hawk," I replied, as I shook her hand.
"Good to know," she said with a smile, "Step right into my office and let us have our interview."
"She's reminds me of Teresa from Claymore," I thought to myself, as I followed her, "but now's not the time to think about that. I must concentrate on my interview."
7 minutes later...
"Have a good day and I'll see you at nine AM on Monday morning," said Teresa, as she walked me out of her office.
"Thank you very much, Miss Teresa," I said with a smile.
"Glad to see a man working with us women."
"Wait... what?" I said with a cocked eyebrow.
"Oh! I forgot to tell you, but you are the very first man to work here," explained Teresa, "I think the ladies here will like you."
"O-okay."
Teresa gave me a wink, which made me blush.
"Ohlookatthetimegottago," I said rapidly, as I ran out of the place.
"Woohoo!" I thought to myself, as I came to a walk, "I gotta job!"
I then crossed the street and headed towards the ice cream store.
"Now to get some things for the girls and I to enjoy while we're at the beach tonight," I said, as I entered the ice cream store.
"Hello girls, I'm h-" I was cutoff from what I saw.
The girls were on the couch watching a documentary on sex. They sat there looking at the TV, as if they were studying it.
"GIRLS! WHAT THE FUCK?!" I shouted, as I slammed the door behind me and placed my bag of groceries on the ground, "WHY ARE YOU GIRLS WATCHING THIS SMUT?!"
"It's not, smut," retorted Aria, "it's a documentary."
"We discovered that a documentary is something that you can learn from," said Adagio.
"Also, could you tell me more about this fellatio thing?" asks Sonata.
"NO!" I shouted, "CHANGE THE CHANNEL RIGHT NOW!"
"Jeez, what crawled up your ass?" said Aria, as she changed the channel towards Animal Planet.
"Thank you," I said, as I kneeled down and picked up the groceries, "also, I got good news."
"Really? Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!" said Sonata in a childish manner.
"Well... I got the job," I said, as the girls levitated towards me with smiles.
"You did?" asks Adagio.
"Yep."
"Awesome!" said both Sonata and Aria with a clap.
"Tonight at the beach, we'll have a late night surprise with a bottle of soda, ice cream, and carrots," I said, as I held up to them the grocery bag.
"Ice cream? Soda? What are those?" asks Aria.
"Ice cream is a frozen dairy treat and coke is a soda pop drink," I explained.
"Dairy? Like a cow dairy?" asks Adagio.
"You'll see when we go to the beach tonight. Right now, I have to keep the ice cream in the freezer and the soda in the fridge," I said, as I walked towards the kitchen, "they won't taste as good if they are warm."
I took the soda and ice cream out of the bag and placed the ice cream in the freezer, while the soda and carrots go into the fridge.
After putting things away, I sat down on the couch with the girls, as we began to watch an episode of Planet Earth. I then turned my head towards the clock.
"4:23, eh? We'll get going at seven," I thought, as I looked back towards the TV.
2 hours and 37 minutes later...
"All righty, girls," I said, as the girls and I buckled up, "let's go celebrate down at the beach."
"I can't wait to have that ice cream," said Sonata, "what does it taste like?"
"Well, it tastes cold," I explained, "the flavors of it is chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry."
"Triple flavors?!" shouted the girls, as I backed up from the garage.
"Yep," I said, as I pressed the button above me that made the garage door close, "now we're off."
I got onto the street and headed towards the beach. As I made a stop at a stoplight, I looked back at the girls who had sweet smiles, along with the tarp that is covering their fish tails.
"You girls are gonna love the carrots, ice cream, and soda," I said, before turning around, as the light turned green.
"I can't wait till we get to the beach," said Adagio.
"I wanna swim again," said Aria.
"Same here," said Sonata.
"You girls have your fun in the water for a while, then we'll eat," I said, as I made a turn.
As we came to another stoplight, I took out my phone and looked through my music for something to play. I found one that would be perfect for today:

As I made it to another turn, I look back and see swaying to the rhythm. I chuckled and continued my driving.
"Woohoo!" said Adagio, as she and her sisters jumped into the water, while I on the other hand was bringing down the basket of things we'll have to eat and drink.
As I made it to the same spot I was the other night with them, I had an idea of making a fireplace. There's tons of wood not far from where we are at the beach, so I walked over there and searched for wood.
"I'll start a fire for me and the girls," I thought to myself, as I picked up another long stick, "people do this at the beach during certain times."
As I picked up as much as I could, I walked back carefully and set the sticks aside to make the fireplace.
"What are you doing?" asked Sonata, as Aria and Adagio chased one another.
"I'm making a fireplace for us," I explained.
"Cool, we'll be with you in a bit," said Sonata, as she went back to playing with her sisters.
I smiled and continued working on the fireplace. As I did, I totally forgot about the matches. I stood up and went up the stairs towards my car. As I did, I looked back at the girls, playing in the water, until something caught my eye. It's here again; it's the same pair of yellow eyes looking at me, but unlike before, it was about half a mile away to the left from where the girls are playing. I played along by continuing to stare at the figure. I don't know why, but I waved my hand to give it a hello gesture.
It waved back
I was shocked that it replied with a wave. The more I pondered about it since yesterday last night while watching an episode of Parasyte, I believe that it's a mermaid; the same mermaid species that have been here before the settlers arrived.
I looked at it for a few more seconds until I was distracted by the girls' cheering. I looked back to where I saw the figure and it was gone; it was like as if it were never there. I shrugged and continued up the stairs towards my car.
"All right girls," I said, as the fire crackled, "playtime is over. Let's eat."
The girls came out of the water and sat down on the logs that I pushed over here for me and them to sit on. I rummaged through the basket and pulled out the bag of carrots and set the basket away from the fire so that the ice cream and drinks can stay cool.
"Here you go girls," I said, as I held out to them an open bag of carrots, "carrots first, junkie stuff next."
The girls stuck their hands into the bag and grabbed a handful of carrots.
"Mm, this is good," said Adagio, as she crunched another bite into her first carrot.
"It's been a while since we had these," said Aria.
"These taste like carrots, but they look tiny and shaved," said Sonata before taking another bite into her second carrot.
"They may look different, but they're the same," I said, as I took out two more carrots for myself.
"Say Jake, can you tell us a story?" asks Adagio.
"Story? What kind of story?" I asked.
"A story of love," said Sonata.
"Fantasy," said Aria.
"A fairy tale," said Adagio.
"A fairy tale? Well, I can tell you one after we have this ice cream," I said, as I took out the tub of ice cream and spoons for each of us to have.
"I can't wait to try this," said Adagio.
"Me too," said Aria.
"Me three," said Sonata.
"That was really tasty," said Adagio, as she set her empty bowl aside.
"Very," said Aria, as she set aside her bowl,
"It was very delicious," said Sonata, as she set her bowl on her lap.
"Hand me your bowls, girls," I said, as they handed me each of their empty bowls.
I placed them within the basket and took out the large bottle of coke and four cups.
"I'm giving you girls a cup of coke. You'll love this drink as well," I said, as I began to pour into the first cup.
I handed the first to Adagio, then Sonata and Aria, and then myself.
"Okay girls," I said before taking a sip, "drink and enjoy your drinks as I tell you the story of The Little Mermaid."
The girls scooted close together, as the fire continued to crackle in between us, along with the sound of water.
"The story takes place out at the sea where there is a hidden kingdom called Atlantis. In this Atlantis, lived the mer-folk, who look just like you girls, but are different. The rulers of the kingdom was the mer-king, the grandmother, and the five daughters. The youngest of the daughters is about to have her 15th birthday and is permitted to go see the world up above for the first time. When she came up to the surface, there was a celebration going on for a handsome prince. When she laid her eyes upon the prince, she fell in love. Suddenly, a storm hit and lightning struck the boat. The prince went unconscious and the mermaid saved his life by bringing him to the shore. She stood by his side until a young girl and her companions from a temple nearby noticed him, but not the mermaid. When the mermaid heard them coming, she swam away back into the ocean. to her dismay however, the prince never saw the mermaid nor realize that it was she who saved his life."
"Aw," said Sonata.
"Anyway, the mermaid becomes melancholy and asks her grandmother if she knew anything about humans; she was told that humans don't live as long as mermaids, nor do they breathe underwater. The grandmother also says that when a mermaid dies, they turn to foam and cease to exist. Humans on another hand die with their souls taken to heaven. The mermaid had an idea; she went to the sea witch, who lives in the most dangerous area in the ocean and asks her if she could make herself human. The witch said that she can turn her into a human, however..."
"What? 'However' what?" asks Adagio with curiosity.
"The ocean will be her death. She would no longer breathe underwater. She'll be able to walk on two feet and dance like no human could. And is granted a soul if she could make the prince fall in with her; if she couldn't succeed to winning the prince's heart, then she'll die brokenhearted. The mermaid thought long and hard about this and she decided-"
"What did she do?" interrupted Adagio.
"Did she agree to it?" asks Sonata.
"Did she?" asks Aria.
"She agreed to it, along with the witch taking away the little mermaids' voice."
"Whoa! Tough decision," said the girls.
"Anyway, the mermaid takes the potion up to the surface and drinks it. It was painful at first, but she eventually grows legs and begins to use them. The prince ends up finding her and takes her up to the castle where he lives. He'd love to know her name, but sadly, she couldn't speak at all. He was a kind prince and they seem to be getting along just fine. However, the princes parents demand him to marry the neighboring kingdom's princess. The prince refuses and tell them that he's in love with the girl who rescued him near the temple that he couldn't remember, until he was told by the parents that the young girl who found him near the temple was the princess of the neighboring kingdom. After the prince heard that, he immediately wanted the wedding to start."
"NO!" shouted Sonata, "THAT PRINCE IS AN IDIOT! IF ONLY THE MERMAID COULD SPEAK!"
"When the mermaid heard the news, it broke her heart. The prince and the princess sailed away on a wedding ship. The mermaid weeps in despair after all she went through to be with the prince. Suddenly, her sisters came to the surface and give her a dagger to use to murder the prince. If she does kill the prince and let's the princes blood go on her feet, she'll turn back into a mermaid again and she'll end the suffering and come back to living with the mer-folk."
"Did she do it?" asks Sonata.
"Did she?" asks Sonata.
"She wouldn't," said Aria.
"You're right, Aria; she couldn't bring herself into killing the prince."
"What did she do then?" asks the girls.
"She threw the dagger off the boat and was turned to foam."
The girls gasp.
"However, instead of her ceasing to exist; she became a spirit and became one with the atmosphere. She ends up meeting other daughters who tell her that she is one of them and that she is an immortal soul. And that my three sirens, is the story of The Little Mermaid."
"What a story," said Adagio, as she, Sonata, and Aria clapped away.
"Such a sad story," said Sonata before taking a last sip of her coke.
"It was pretty good, thought," said Aria, as she gave me her empty cup.
Sonata and Adagio did the same and handed me their empty cups. I placed them and the large bottle of soda back into the basket and stood up.
"Perhaps tomorrow, we'll do this again," I said, as I lifted my leg up and stomped the fire out.
"Whoa! Jake! You're getting soot on us!" said Adagio, as she and the other levitated up and flew towards the stairs.
"Sorry girls," I said, as I grabbed ahold of the basket and walked up to the girls, "let's go home."
