Chapters I had woken up early to make myself some hazelnut coffee; I sipped at the warm coffee. Closing my eyes as the hot liquid ran down my throat, Thunderlane and I had been dating for a year. Today was our anniversary; I've wanted to talk to him about settling down. I just didn't know how to say it; I finished my coffee and put the cup in the sink. I walked out onto the deck and watched the sunrise; I smiled as I looked at the butterflies flutter around. I walked down to my tree swing and sat down; I smiled as the fresh summer breeze went through my mane. I looked up at the weather workers getting rid of the clouds, and I waved at Rainbow Dash. I got up and levitated my water pail; I walked over to my Koi pond and scooped up some water. I started watering my Sunflower's in my garden. They were growing well. I talked to my sunflowers for a while and began to water the rest of my garden; it was full of carrots, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, blackberries and grapes. I smiled at my watered garden; I looked at my lotus flowers in my Koi pond. I walked around the front, it was full of multi-colored roses, I watered them while humming. I smiled at my roses and made my way back into my house, and the downstairs was no longer a boxing area. It was now my library/living room. I didn't know what to do with my old living room yet; I made my way back upstairs to my room. Thunderlane was up; he smiled at me as he stretched his wings.
"What's up honey?" he asked me. I shrugged my shoulder and smile.
"There's something I want to talk to you about, but I'm not sure how to say it," I stated in a hushed tone. Thungerlane hugged me and sat next to me.
"Well, talk to me what's going on?" he asked. I sighed in defeat.
"Well, it's our year anniversary today, and I think I'm ready to settle down with you" I finished. Thunderlane was quiet. I started to worry; I looked at him, and he was smiling.
"Well, honey would it make your day better if I said I was ready to settle down with you as well?" He said nuzzling into my magenta, purple mane. I blushed; I had a goofy smile on my face. I kissed Thunderlane. He ruffled my fur and got up to take a shower; I made the bed and grabbed our laundry. I started the washer and walked downstairs to my library; I sat in the window seat and got lost in one of my books for a while. "How's your book?" Thunderlane asked. I smiled at him.
"Good I didn't mean to get so lost in it, " I said laughing a little. Thungerlane hugged me and walked with me upstairs; I shoved him down onto my bed. I kissed him. He wrapped his wings around me and flipped so he was above me. I stared at him as he thrust into me. I let out a moan and arched my back; his thrusts were getting harder and faster. I squirmed under him in ecstasy; he bit down on my collar bone. I let out a scream as I came; he flared his wings and let out a low growl as he came. I smiled as I relaxed; I snuggled against him as his black feathered wings enveloped me into a hug. I awoke to the sun shining on my face, I got up and stretched. I brushed everything out and made my way downstairs for my coffee. I sipped on my coffee and noticed Thunderlane watering my flowers and garden again, I smiled. I wondered if I should stop by Twilight's and have her cast the no-foal spell on me, I thought about it for a while.
"You alright sweetie?" Thunderlane asked. I looked at him and sighed.
"I'm trying to decide if I want to stop by Twilight's and have her cast the no-foal spell on me" I finished. Thunderlane smiled at me.
"I kind of like the idea of us having little foals," he said blushing a little. I hugged him and kissed him. I decided I was going to go to Twilight's to get some books, I waved goodbye to Thunderlane and made my way there. I stopped by Sugar Cube Corner and got myself a strawberry milkshake, and I sipped on it as I got to Twilights. I knocked on the door and waited for Spike to answer, I smiled as I hear him running to the door.
"Oh hey Blackie I haven't seen you for a while how are you?" he asked.
"I've been good, just here to talk to Twilight about something" I finished giving him a small smile. He motioned me to follow him inside, I followed him through the castle, and we made it to where Twilight was, she was sitting with Fluttershy and Applejack. I waved at them smiling.
"So Blackie said she's here to talk to you about something, " Spike said. Twilight nodded.
"Alright Spike go ahead and go to you're room for a little bit. " Twilight finished. "So what did you need to talk to us about?" Twilight asked smiling.
"Well Thunderlane and I decided to settle down, and we're deciding to have little fillies or foals of our own" I finished. Twilight, Fluttershy, and AppleJack hugged me tightly.
"Oh my goodness this is the best news ever, First one out of our group to settle down," Twilight said.
"Oh, I can't wait to see what they look like," Fluttershy said.
"Agree I'm excited," Applejack said smiling.
"So Twilight is there any books I can get on pregnancy?" I asked as I sat down and sipped on my milkshake. Twilight nodded and went into her library to find some books for me.
"So if you do have fillies what are you going to name them?" Fluttershy asked.
"Hmm, well, I guess it depends on when they are born," I said giggling a little. Twilight came back over to us and gave me three books.
"Okay, so these three books will tell you what happens to you and during pregnancy, what happens to you during labor and the first year of your fillies or foals life," Twilight said smiling. I nodded and put the books in my saddle bag, I gave my three best friends a hug and waved goodbye to them as I started walking home. I made it back and put the books on the coffee table in my new living room, I smiled at Thunderlane and gave him a hug.
"I made you lunch honey," he said smiling, I nodded, and we walked into the kitchen. Thunderlane made me a sunflower seed, flax seed, and oat salad. He also made me a grilled cheese sandwich, and I munched on my food. "So I have some good news," Thunderlane said.
"Oh, what's that?" I asked.
"Well, guess who got an invitation to The Wonderbolts flying class? This stallion" he said. I've never seen a stallion so happy, I smiled and gave him a hug.
"That's wonderful, how long does it last?" I asked as I finished my salad.
"Well, it last's about a month," he said.
"Oh, well, it will go well for you," I stated in a dejected tone. Thunderlane hugged me.
"It's okay, it won't be that long, I promise," he said I nodded, giving him a smile in return. After I had finished my lunch I started to wash the dishes; I let them sit out to dry, and I began to wipe down the counters and wiped down the top of the stove. I smiled at my clean kitchen, I walked outside and sat down by my Koi pond. I looked around my backyard; I decided that I needed to put a fence around the yard. I looked up at the clear blue sky; I decided to go out to Sweet Apple Acres. I walked back into the house.
"Thunderlane I'm going to Sweet Apple Acres, I'm going to ask Big Mac to build a fence for the backyard" I finished, he nodded.
"I'll see you when you get back," He said smiling. I nodded and walked out the door, I walked down the road and waved at my friends. I started walking down the path to Sweet Apple Acres; I met AppleJack in the middle.
"Oh hay there Sugar Cube, what have you headed this way for?" She asked.
"Well, I decided if I'm going to have little one's I'm going to need to fence in my backyard," I said laughing a little. Applejack nodded.
"Well Big Mac will be able to help ya with that one," she said. I waved goodbye to her and continued. I made to Sweet Apple Acres; I waved at Big Mac.
"Big Mac how are you?" I asked.
"Ah'm, good, how ah ya?" he asked.
"I'm good I came here to ask you a favor," I said sitting down.
"Well Ah'm happy ta help a friend of mah sister," he said giving me a smile.
"I was hoping that you'd be able to build a fence in my backyard." I finished.
"Hmmm, well what would ya need a fence for?" he asked.
"Well, Thunderlane and I are deciding to have little fillies or foals of our own soon. So I need to fence in my backyard." I finished. Big Mac nodded.
"Well, Ah'll be there tomorrow to get it all built," he finished giving me a smile. I smiled and waved goodbye to him. I made my way back to Ponyville. I made it back to my house just as the sun was starting to set, I smiled to myself and sat on my tree swing. I watched the sunset for a while; Thunderlane sat next to me. I leaned my head on his shoulder, and he leaned his head on mine, I nuzzled against him.
"So is your fence getting built soon?" Thunderlane asked. I just nodded.
"Tomorrow, and I'm excited" I finished. We finished watching the sunset and walked into the house.
"By the way, I made your dinner" Thunderlane smiled. I kissed him and grabbed my strawberry and orange salad and kimchi curry.
"Thanks for making me my favorite dinner by the way," I said munching on my food. I finished my food and put all the dishes in the sink, I cleaned up the kitchen and walked into the living room. Thunderlane was sleeping upstairs already, but I decided to read the first book, it called "What to expect during pregnancy: What happens to you and your foals" I smiled as I started to read it. "Huh, so I'll know I'm pregnant by week 3 or 4," I said to myself. I read what happens during weeks 1 and 2. I let out a yawn and put a bookmark in place. I walked up the stairs and climbed into bed and snuggled against Thunderlane, and I wanted to make sure I got up in time to say goodbye to Thunderlane. Thunderlane rolled over and hugged me with his wings; I started to drift to sleep.
The blessing of life: weeks 1-4
I sighed as I sat up; Thunderlane was just getting ready to leave for his Wonderbolts Training. I kissed him goodbye as he flew out the window, I got up and stretched. I started to make my bed; I fluffed up the pillows and headed into the bathroom. I went pee quick and decided to take a quick shower; I stepped into the shower and let the hot water cascade down my slender body. I sighed as my muscles started to relax; I put my favorite lemon shampoo in my hair and rinsed it out. I put my conditioner on and began to wash my body with my oatmeal body wash. I smiled to myself as I turned off the shower and started to dry myself off, I brushed my mane and tail out and made my way downstairs. I turned my coffee pot on and found my favorite coffee mug; I looked outside, and the sun was not yet rising. I poured myself a cup of my hazelnut coffee and sipped at the hot liquid; I sat in silence for a while and put my coffee mug in the sink. The sun was finally starting to rise; I smiled to myself as I went outside and sat on the tree swing. There was a nice warm spring breeze this morning, and it smelled of my flowers, I watched the sun rise with a huge smile on my face. I hopped off the swing and started watering my garden and making sure everything was growing well, I laughed to myself as I checked out my Koi pond. I walked around the front and watered my roses, and I waved at my friends here, and there as they walked. I saw Big Mac making his way towards my house; I was excited to have a fence. "Good morning Big Mac," I chirped.
"Good morning, Miss BlackLight," he said. I just smiled up at him.
"Please, Big Mac just calls me Blackie," I said. He nodded ever so slightly.
"So where all do you want the fence?" he asked.
"Well, I was thinking all around my house that way, we have a front and a backyard," I said.
"Alright, I'll get started,” he finished. I nodded and made my way into my house. I decided to make myself some breakfast; I ended up making an orange and strawberry salad with some cinnamon toast. I munched on my food happily as I watched Big Mac work on the fence; I cleaned up my dishes and left them on the counter to dry. I let out a yawn and decided to go upstairs and take a nap; I snuggled with all of my pillows and dozed off to sleep. I woke up a few hours later; I looked outside to see Big Mac still working on the fence. I walked down to the kitchen and made myself some lunch, which was some toast, KimChi curry, and a nice salad. I ate my lunch while looking outside; it was almost time to go outside and feed my Koi fish. I grabbed the fish food and made my way outside; I sprinkled the food into the water and smiled as my fish ate. I sat by my pond and gazed at my fish; it was a beautiful warm sunny day. I smiled and waved at Rainbow Dash as she flew by; she fluttered down and sat by me.
"So building a fence around your house? Why?" she asked curiously.
"Well Thunderlane and I are planning to have little foals of our someday," I said smiling.
"Oh my gosh, that's the best news ever" Rainbow Dash beamed. I only nodded.
"It is I'm hoping to go to the Doctor's in a few months to see if I'm pregnant or not" I finished. Rainbow Dash hugged me hard and smiled at me. I waved goodbye to her as she flew away, I was looking forward to being pregnant. If my mom can be a single mother of two foals then I know I can do it, I smiled to myself as I walked into the house. I decided to get lost in one of my books for a while; I sat in my big chair with all the fluffy pillows. I used my unicorn magic to pour myself a glass of pineapple juice. When I read my books, I never notice how lost I tend to get, it was already getting dark. I wandered outside to see that Big Mac had already left; he left a note saying he would finish the fence tomorrow and make a beautiful gate for the front yard. I smiled to myself as I watched the fireflies flutter around my yard; I honestly couldn't wait to have my little foals.
Time Skip: 3 weeks later
I cringed as I felt a pain in my lower abdominal area, I sighed and decided it was time to go to the doctor and get myself a pregnancy test. Thunderlane comes home in a week, and I was looking forward to telling him some good news when he got back. I left my house and made my way to the hospital, I let the lady at the front desk know what I was here for and sat down in the waiting area. I started reading a magazine when I heard my name called by Nurse Red Hart; I smiled at her as I followed her to a room. She took my weight, blood pressure, temperature.
"What brings you here today Blacklight?" she smiled.
"Well, I'm here to take a pregnancy test," I said, smiling back at her. She nodded to herself and jotted down a few notes here and there and smiled at me again,
"Well, Doctor Whooves will be with you in just a moment, then" she finished. I laid down and waited for the doctor. After a few minutes I heard a faint knocking at the door, a stallion walked into the room, he smiled at me and put his notes down. "Hello Miss BlackLight I'm Dr. Whooves, and I see you want a pregnancy test done?" he asked. I just nodded in response. "Okay, well I'm going to do some blood work, and will find out if you're going to be a mother" he smiled. I let him get everything set up, and he took a little vile of blood. I was excited to see if I was pregnant or not, he sent my blood to the lab for them to test. "Okay, Miss BlackLight we'll call you with the results,” he finished, I nodded and left the hospital, I walked back to my house and made myself some lunch. I munched on my honey and peppermint salad as I watched some birds flying around outside, I loved the new yard and the beautiful gate Big Mac made for me. I put my dishes in the sink and cleaned up the kitchen, I wandered into the living room and started reading my book it said week 3 I should start taking prenatal pills for the baby. It also said that I would be having abdominal pain and or stomach pain, I decided to go down to one of the stores and by some pills and some natural peppermint, tummy drops for my stomach. I came home with my pills and stomach drops, and I decided to start a fire and relax in my chair with a bunch of pillows, I poured myself a glass of pineapple juice and rested for a while, after a couple of hours the sun was starting to set. I walked outside and watched the sunset. I walked back inside and sighed to myself.
"I do this to myself every time, I always wait til late to eat dinner," I said to myself. I made myself a quick dinner which consisted of grilled cheese sandwiches and grilled leeks; I ate my dinner slowly while looking at my beautiful backyard. I finished my dinner and put the dishes in the sink, and I smiled to myself as I walked up to my bedroom. I snuggled under my blanket and pillows and fell fast asleep.
I awoke to birds chirping. Happily, I sat up and got out of bed. I made my bed quickly and brushed my mane and tail out; I walked downstairs and made myself some breakfast. I ate my oatmeal and went outside to water my garden and roses; after I had finished, I sat on the tree swing for a while. I waved at Fluttershy, she landed and sat next to me on the tree swing.
"So is there any news yet on your pregnancy?" she asked.
"Nothing yet, but I have a feeling that I'm pregnant" I smiled to myself.
"How do you know?" she asked. I looked at her with my sparkling pink eyes.
"I just do," I said rubbing my belly slightly. Fluttershy smiled at me.
"That's what all mothers say, they just know" she finished. I nodded my hair falling into my face a little.
"Do you want to stay for a while Fluttershy?" I asked, she smiled at me and nodded.
"Oh, of course, I'll stay for a while, I always seem to enjoy myself here," she chirped. We got off of the tree swung and sat down by the Koi pond; we dangled our feet into the cool water. A warm breeze fluttered along, ruffling our hair.
"I can't wait till Thunderlane comes home," I said mainly to myself. Fluttershy nodded.
"How long now?" she asked.
"6 days, " I said, smiling.
"I bet you've been lonely," she said. I nodded yes.
"I have, and I just get lost in my stories and never come visit you guys. I should do that more often" I said. Fluttershy smiled.
"You should the girls miss you," she said. I stood up, and we walked into my house, I made some herb tea for us, and we sat and talked for a while longer. After a few hours of talking I waved goodbye to Fluttershy, I made myself a late lunch which was vegetable soup. I finally did the dishes and let them dry, I cleaned up the kitchen and swept the floors. I smiled at my now clean kitchen and decided it was time for a nap; I snuggled into bed and dozed off to the sounds of nature. I woke up a few hours later to some knocking on my door. I walked down the stairs and opened the door to see Applejack, I smiled at her as I stepped to the side to let her in.
"Howdy sugar cube how ya been?" Aj asked.
"Good just been so tired lately" I answered. Aj nodded slightly.
"Well, maybe you just need to come out more,” Aj smiled.
"Maybe I do need to come out more" I finished.
"Well, you should come over to Twilights later tomorrow,” she said smiling.
"Sure, I'll see you guys tomorrow,” I said as I waved goodbye to AJ.
Time Skip: 6 days.
I woke up to the phone ringing; I ran downstairs and answered it. "Hello, this is Blacklight," I said sleepily.
"Oh, hello Miss Blacklight I hope I didn't wake you up." Doctor Whooves said cheerfully into the phone.
"Hello Doctor, do you have an answer for my pregnancy test?" I asked.
"I do; indeed, you are now four weeks pregnant. Congratulations" Doc cheered.
"Oh my god this is the best news, thank you, Doctor,” I said as I hung up the phone.
I smiled to myself as I waited for Thunderlane to come home, I was going to tell him the fantastic news; I was now four weeks pregnant with a filly or a colt. I had a new idea with what to do with the old living room; we could have Big Mac make it into two new bedrooms. I smiled to myself as I jotted that down, and had it mailed to Sweet Apple Acres. I made a list of things I wanted to get for the backyard as well, after making my list I put it up on the board. I made myself some green tea and sat outside and sipped at the cold liquid; I fed my Koi fish while I was out and about. I was proud of myself for being able to buy such a lovely house, and it was going to have two little foals, Thunderlane and I. I waved at Rainbow Dash as she flew by; I wondered over to my garden and picked some potatoes, tomatoes, corn, and grapes. I brought my food inside, washed it off and put them in the fridge; I looked at the rest of my garden. Nothing else was growing yet; I shrugged my shoulders and walked back inside. I decided to bake one of my potatoes for lunch; I sat at the island as I waited for it to finish cooking. I didn't know how Thunderlane did it, how he was so patient when it came to food. I poured myself some juice; I took my prenatal pill. It always made me feel like I was going to gag, but it was right for my little one and me. "Blah I hate it,” I said to myself as I put my glass on the counter, I took my potato out of the oven and started to put all the toppings on it like butter, salt, bacon, sour cream, and chives. "This is the one thing I can cook," I said to myself smiling. I ate my lunch and savored it; I always loved potatoes. I put my dishes in the sink and sat in the living room waiting for Thunderlane. A few hours later Thunderlane walked through the front door. I ran to him and hugged him tightly; I nuzzled into his chest as his feathered wings wrapped around me.
"Man baby did you miss me that much?" he asked. I just nodded,
"I did, and I have some great news for you,” I said happily
"What is it?" he asked.
"I'm four weeks pregnant" I smiled.
Why am I always hungry?: weeks 5-8
Five weeks...
I sighed as I awoke with a wave of nausea; I sighed as I got up and ran into the bathroom. I started throwing up; I felt a hoof rubbing my back. "Thunder I am not a fan of this morning sickness" I sighed. He was smiling broadly at me now.
"I know you’re not Blackie but just think about it 11 more months and we'll have a little one of our own," he said smiling. I nodded, as I flushed the toilet and started to brush my teeth; I let out a sigh of relief and decided to take a tummy drop of natural peppermint. I heard Thunderlane start cooking something, 'please let it be something that doesn't make me gag' I said to myself smiling a little. I brushed out my mane and tail and relaxed on my bed for a while before I decided to get out of bed. I rubbed my tummy and smiled. "Oh little one you're going to make me fat," I said to myself. I was showing slightly, I wandered down into the kitchen and poured myself some grapefruit juice; I sipped at it as I waited for my breakfast. I slept a little longer than I wanted to, but that's what happens when your body is fatigued. Thunderlane had made me some egg drop soup with some saltine crackers to help my stomach. I slowly sipped at my soup; Thunderlane started making himself some breakfast. He was making some honey, rice, I sniffed at his food, and I began to gag. I took my food and ate in the living room; I finished my soup and walked upstairs to go to the bathroom. I let out a sigh of relief; I walked downstairs to see Thunderlane getting a saddlebag ready.
"Where are you headed?" I asked with a smile.
"I have to go into the weather place today, we're short today" he sighed. "Sorry I can't go to your doctor's appointment, " he said with a sigh. I smiled at him, so he knew it was okay, he nodded and flew out the window. I called Fluttershy and asked her if she wanted to go to my Doctor's appointment, she, of course, said yes to me. I put a pink bow in my hair; I smiled to myself when I heard knocking on the door. I walked down the stairs and opened the door to see Fluttershy smiling at me.
"Hello Blackie how are you?" she asked happily. We slowly started to walk to my appointment, I told her about my morning sickness, peeing a lot and tired.
"Do you think you should calm down?" she asked a little concerned about me. Right, then I just smiled at her.
"Fluttershy I'm sure, I won't take it easy until the Doctor tells me to calm down," I chirped. She nods her head in agreement.
"Well, you are a very healthy mare so maybe I'm just worrying for no reason" she smiled. We finally made it to the hospital; I told the nurse that I was seeing Doctor Whooves today for an appointment. She wrote some things down and told me to wait; I sat down and rubbed my belly a little.
"I'm looking forward to the next eleven months Fluttershy," I said smiling at her. We talked for a while later until I heard my name called; we walked back into the room, and I saw the Ultrasound machine.
"Hello BlackLight I'm glad to see you today, how are you doing?" he asked.
"Well, I pee a million times a day, I'm exhausted, I gag and throw up every morning," I said laughing a little. The Doctor let out a laugh.
"The blessing of life, huh?" he finished. I nod in silent agreement. "Well BlackLight I would like you to sit in the chair, and we get to see how big your child is and how high its heartbeat is," he said. I got myself situated in the chair and felt a cold jelly being spread on my belly; I shivered from the coolness. He moved the utensil around my stomach; I looked at the screen and saw a small figure with a thunderous and strong heartbeat. My eyes started to tear up, and I smiled at my stomach.
"Oh little one you’re so tiny," I said.
"The size of an orange seed," the doctor said smiling. I immediately started crying profusely.
"I'm going to be a mother," I said with a slight sob. I felt Fluttershy hugging me tightly and rubbing my back.
"I'll get a picture printed out for you,” he said with a slight smile. I nodded slowly, thoughtfully.
"Oh, this is so exciting Blackie," Fluttershy said, fluttering her wings a little.
"I know I can't wait to show Thunderlane this picture" I finished. The nurse wiped the jelly off my stomach, and I got the picture from the doctor. Fluttershy and I started walking back to my house; I felt a wave of nausea again once I got home. I managed to keep it down this time; I let out a sigh and sucked on a piece of peppermint. I rubbed my belly slightly, Fluttershy and I relaxed and talked about things going on in her life. She was the one I spent the most time with, her and Rainbow Dash when she could visit me. I waved goodbye to her and welcomed Thunderlane home, I smiled and showed him the ultrasound picture.
"Oh BlackLight that's our little one, " he said crying and hugging me tightly.
Six weeks...
I awoke in pain from my heartburn; I sighed as I sat up and ate some Tums. I sighed as I got out of bed, I felt gross and bloated today. I walked into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, and I was feeling exhausted as usual. I brushed out my mane and tail and walked downstairs. I rubbed my belly slightly as I watered my garden and flowers; I was showing a little more this week. Not by much since this was my first foal, but I tried not to complain. I sat on my swing for a while I watched the clouds; I jumped off my swing and ran into the house. I ran up the stairs and into the bathroom, I barely made it in time to puke. I wiped at my eyes and flushed the toilet; I brushed my teeth quick and tried to figure something to eat that I wouldn't gag on. I ended up only eating some deviled eggs with a fruit salad, "hope this helps with my heartburn" I said to myself as I walked downstairs to the living room. I relaxed a little with all my pillows and decided it was time to take a nap, I slowly closed my eyes. I awoke to a smell of lunch; I opened my eyes to see that Thunderlane had brought me a sandwich and a small salad. I smiled to myself as I ate it slowly; I finished off my grapefruit juice and rubbed my belly with a smile on my face.
"I hoped you enjoyed your lunch, I tried to think of something easy," Thunderlane said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I did, and it tasted delicious," I said happily. He hugged me so gently and kissed my forehead.
"I love you BlackLight, and I'm ready to have this foal with you," he said quietly.
"I know you are, and I just can't wait to figure out if it's a boy or a girl," I said happily. He nodded in agreement; I walked outside to sit in front of my koi pond. I started feeding them when I heard someone walking towards me; I turned around to see Applejack. "Aj what's up? I haven't seen you for a while, " I said while I gave her a quick hug.
"Well, Ah got the letter a while ago bout how ya want ta change your old living room into two new places," she said. I smiled and nodded yes.
"I do, but I was thinking that could wait for a while,” I said smiling. She nodded ever so slightly.
"Well, of course, I'll check on ya in a few months k sugar cube," she said. I waved goodbye to her as she started making her way back to the farm. I walked back into the house and looked at this month's ultrasound; my little one was the size of a sweet pea. It was crazy how fast the embryo grows, and I was excited. I cleaned up my house a little and decided to eat an early dinner, and I ended up making some rice curry with a buttered tortilla.
"I haven't seen you eat this for a long time," Thunderlane said as I was eating my food.
"I know I just wanted to see how my stomach would react to this, which it's doing well so far," I said as I took a few gulps of juice. After I had finished my dinner I cleaned up my kitchen and my living room, I walked upstairs and got myself comfy and started to read. As I was reading Thunderlane was playing video games, I shook my head as I tried to stifle a laugh. I put a mark in my book, so I didn't lose my place, I rolled over and kissed Thunderlane Goodnight.
"Do you want me to turn my game off?" he asked. I shook my head no. I got snuggled into my pillows and blankets and dozed off to sleep. I woke up with another wave of nausea, and I was getting tired of this morning sickness. It was annoying, I got up and walked into the bathroom. I took my multi-vitamins and my prenatal vitamins and sucked on a peppermint tummy drop, and I sighed as I walked downstairs to make myself some breakfast. "How are you doing this morning?" Thunderlane asked. I shook my head slightly.
"I'm getting tired of this morning sickness, heartburn, bloating, peeing a thousand times and just all over exhaustion," I said with a defeated sigh. Thunderlane hugged me.
"Just remember this will all be worth it in the end, we'll have a little one of our own, " he said smiling, I nodded in agreement.
"I'm glad that we'll have our little foal but I'm going to get bigger and bigger and be more exhausted," I said in defeat. Thunderlane hugged me gently and ran his hoof through my mane, and I let out a content sigh. I relaxed in the living room to read one of my books on pregnancy, while I was reading Thunderlane brought me some watermelon juice. I smiled at him gratefully and drank the juice down, I let out a sigh and snuggled against my pillows. I put my book down and got up to go outside and water my flowers, and I walked outside into the warm sunshine. "I love days like today, " I said to myself.
Seven weeks...
I looked at my slowly growing belly, I rubbed it and smiled to myself. My baby was now the size of a little blueberry, and it was going all so quick for me. Other ponies who didn't know could tell now by my baby bump, and I didn't mind that they figured it out. I sat out front with my flowers, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy was helping me water my flowers and take care of them, and Rainbow Dash was chilling on a cloud and talking with us. I smiled to myself these two had become my best friends, it made me a little emotional in which Fluttershy would just hug me tightly. I smiled at my flowers, and the girls and I walked to the back, we sat on the deck drinking sweet tea. I always had a craving for sweet tea or watermelon now, and it was weird. I enjoyed the sunny day with my two best friends, and Thunderlane came out with watermelon. I snatched the first piece and munched on it, and I had a huge smile on my face. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy started laughing.
"I didn't think I'd see you grabbed something so fast," Fluttershy said smiling. I nodded in silent agreement while eating. I gulped down another glass of sweet tea, and I let out a sigh as I got up and ran up the stairs. I went to the bathroom and made my way downstairs again, and I walked outside to see that Rainbow Dash was gone.
"Awe Rainbow Dash left?" I asked. Fluttershy nodded. I shrugged as I got comfortable, I let out a content sigh.
"So Blackie how are you doing this week?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well other than peeing a lot, having weird cravings and nausea. I'm doing okay I guess" I said rolling to my side to look at Fluttershy.
"You little one sure is growing fast," Fluttershy said with a smile.
"He or she is growing quite fast huh?" I said running a hoof over my belly.
"I hope you get a little girl, she's going to be so adorable," Fluttershy said in a gleeful tone. I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah and I've decided that I want more than one little foal," I said with a huge grin.
"Oh that will be so fun," Fluttershy said finishing her tea. "Well Blackie I have to go back home, but I'll see you later" Fluttershy finished. I wave goodbye to her and got up out of my chair and walked into the house. I relaxed a little and ate the dinner that Thunderlane made me, and it was soup and toast. I munched on it slowly and sipped on my juice after I finished my dinner I decided to call it an early night. Thunderlane was playing video games. I said good night and kissed him, I rolled over and dozed off.
7 weeks
I had another appointment today, and Thunderlane was able to come with me this time, I smiled at him as we waited for the nurse to take us back to the room. I smiled at Nurse Red Hart as she walked us back to the room, I sat down on the chair and waited for Doctor Hooves. He knocked on the door and came in with a big smile.
"Hello Black Light, how are you doing?" he asked. I smiled at him.
"Well, I'm fine other than the usual problems" I laughed. He smiled as he had the nurse rub the jelly on my stomach, I shivered a little for the coolness of the jelly. He moved the utensil around, and I heard the strong heartbeat again, and I started to tear up.
"Oh my god, I'm a father," Thunderlane said tearing up as well.
"You're baby is the size of a blueberry right now. You're babies brain is the fastest growing organ at the moment" the doctor smiled. He had the nurse print out the picture of my baby. He rubbed the jelly off of my stomach, and I got up and took the picture and headed home with Thunderlane.
"That was so amazing to hear our babies cute little heartbeat," he said tearing up. I nodded as we got home, I decided to sit out in the sun for a while. Thunderlane brought me a glass of strawberry kiwi juice, I sipped at the cool liquid and watched the clouds for a while. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash fluttered down and sat next to me, and I smiled at my two best friends.
"Hi ladies, I got a new picture of my baby, he or she is the size of a blueberry," I said.
"Oh my that's so tiny," Fluttershy said smiling.
"I hope you're baby is a pegasus," Rainbow Dash said smirking.
"Oh yeah?" I said sticking my tongue out. We all burst out laughing, I stood up and poured Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, a cup of strawberry kiwi juice. I handed them there juice and sat back down, I listened to them talk about what was going on in their lives. Thunderlane walked out and handed me two letters. "Who are these from?" I asked looking up at him.
"One is from a Cello Song, and the other is from Bubblegum Blossom" he finished.
"Oh my god, those were my two best friends when I lived in Manehatten," I said happily. I put the letters on the table next to my chair and got up. "I'll be right back ladies," I said as I ran into the house and up the stairs. I grabbed the picture of me and my two best friends, and I walked down the stairs and out side to show Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash the picture. "These were my two best friends, and I wonder what they wrote about?" I said to myself. I opened the letters and started smiling.
"Well, what's going on with them?" Thunderlane asked.
"They moved here, and they are both pregnant, they're the same months like me," I said beaming.
"That's awesome, I can't wait to see them again," I said.
"I can't wait to meet them either," Fluttershy said handing the picture back to me. Rainbow Dash nodded her head in agreement. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash flew home, and I waved goodbye to them. Thunderlane made my dinner I ate it outside as I watched the sun set. I decided I'd have to figure out where my friends lived.
Eight months.
I sighed as I sat up with a wave of nausea again, I sighed and got up. I brushed my teeth and looked down at my belly. I was showing, it was a small bump. I smiled down at my small little belly, and I saw a note Thunderlane had left me. 'Hey honey, I had to go to work with the weather patrol today' I sighed as I walked downstairs. I made myself some pancakes and ate my breakfast, and I munched on my breakfast quietly. After I was done, I put my dishes in the sink and walked outside to water my flowers and garden, as I was doing it I waved at Thunderlane as he and Rainbow Dash moved clouds out into the open.
"Hey honey it's supposed to rain today," Thunderlane said, I nodded and made my way back inside. I walked into the living room and started a fire, I sat in the window and looked outside. I heard the roar of thunder and a flash of lighting, and I smiled to myself. I sat in my chair and snuggled into my soft fluffy blanket and stared at the fire for a while, and I ended up dozing off for a while. I was awoken by the sound of loud rain and thunder, I got up and made myself lunch. I made veggie ravioli, and I munched on my lunch. I heard a knock on the door, and I opened it to reveal my two best friends from Manhattan.
"Oh my god, I missed you guys," I said happily as I hugged Cello and Bubblegum.
"Oh my gosh Blackie you're the house is so cute," Cello said smiling at me.
"It is, I love it," Bubblegum said.
"I'm so glad you guys live here now, and not to mention that you guys are pregnant. We're all going to have our fillies or foals at the same time" I said happily. Cello and Bubblegum sat down on the couch and relaxed, I grabbed them some green tea to drink. I heard another knock on the door, and I opened it to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. "Oh hey ladies, what are you two doing here?" I asked.
"I got off of work early," Rainbow Dash said.
"I came to visit you," Fluttershy said. They sat on the couch next to my other two friends.
"I think it's time for a group picture, my friends from school and my friends from now" I smiled. They all nodded in agreement, and I got my camera ready, and I smiled hugely. "Thanks, guys I was hoping to get a group picture with you guys," I said. I sat and chatted with them for a while, I sipped on my juice and laughed while Rainbow Dash and Bubble gum were talking. I knew those two would get along the best, Cello and Fluttershy were giggling and laughing as they made funny faces. I loved my group of friends, and I heard the door open as Thunderlane walked in.
"Hi honey how was your day?" Thunderlane asked. I smiled brightly at him.
"Good, all my friends got to meet up, and now we're just one big group of goofiness," I said laughing a little. He smiled at me and ruffled my mane. I blew the hair out of my face and huffed at him and stuck my tongue out at him. The girls burst out laughing, at my antics. Thunderlane started making dinner for my friends and me, my friends and I sat in the kitchen and waited for Thunderlane to finish dinner. He ended up making rice balls, fried salmon, and French fries.
"Enjoy dinner you guys," he said smiling, he got his plate ready and sat down at the table with every one else. We laughed, ate and drank for hours and it was one of the best nights of my life. I needed it, and I think Thunderlane needed it as well, Fluttershy opened up more during that night.
