You Seem To Be Lost

Twilight found herself in an uncomfortable situation. As Celestia’s personal student, she had been tasked with identifying a new type of magic, which Twilight had dubbed Ceriomancy. As per Equestrian law, twilight had taken many, MANY, precautions when experimenting with Ceriomancy. However, the magic didn’t seem to give a damn about her precautions, as a glowing blue portal had opened up out of nowhere, and was summarily pulling Twilight through.
With a loud *Pop* Twilight was thrown into a snowbank. Pushing herself to her feet, Twilight looked around. She was in the middle of a forest, nowhere near ponyville, considering coniferous pines were not native to Equestria. “W-What happened?” Twilight pondered aloud, her teeth already chattering from the cold. Making an effort to heat herself up using magic, twilight began walking in a random direction.
“Th-There’s got to be somepony around here!” She complained aloud.
Then a voice spoke “Aww, you seem to be lost…” followed by a childish giggle.
“W-Who are you!” Twilight demanded, her entire body quivering in both cold and fear.
“Me? I’m many things! I’m Crazy, I’m sane! I love to create, and to destroy! But you…” The voice responded, ending with a bout of manic laughter.
“I-I’m Twilight, Personal student of Princess Celestia!” She responded angrily, her patience wearing thin.
“My my, did I strike a nerve?” The voice cackled in obvious glee.
Twilight knew she wouldn’t last long without help, and currently the voice seemed to be her only option.
“Wh-Where am I?” She asked the voice anxiously.
“The real question is, where aren't you?” The voice responded, sounding more serious than before.
“You are not somewhere you meant to be, I would guess, considering you are clothed in nothing but undergarments.” The voice pondered aloud, causing Twilight to blush furiously. Looking down, she realized it was true. Gone were her protective goggles, suit, and boots. In fact, all that was left on her body was her bra and panties.
“P-Please help me…” Twilight whimpered, the cold seeming to perforate her very being.
“We-all… You did ask nicely…” The voice drawled.
“Alright. Prepare yourself!” It gave her a short warning before a loud snap brought her to unconsciousness

Twilight was standing in the middle of a blank void.
“H-Hello?” She called out nervously, not expecting a response.
“Why hellooo there!” The same voice from earlier responded, causing her to jump.
“W-Where are you?” Twilight asked, a ball of fear growing in her chest.
“I suppose it would calm your nerves to see a physical form? Very well.” With that, a figure appeared in front of her. Twilight jumped back in surprise, before examining the figure.
He was clad in a noble’s garments, from his boots to his shirt, and all of them were various shades of purple. Looking up to meet his eyes, Twilight got a good look at his face. His skin was Caucasian, with a hint of tan. He had a lumberjack’s beard, coloured purple like his clothes. His hair looked as though he had just been through a cyclone, and was constantly moving in a non-existent breeze. Then Twilight met his eyes.
They were a solid, glowing violet, no irises, pupils, or whites.
“Are you done?” He asked impatiently, arching an eyebrow.
“Y-Yeah, sorry…” Twilight blushed, embarrassed.
“It’s quite alright, I am aware that my appearance is… Unusual.” He said sympathetically.
“D-Do you have a name?” Twilight asked, still suspicious of him.
He appeared to give this some thought. “You may call me… Voice.” Voice responded after a moment or two.
“Voice? That’s a strange name.” Twilight commented idly.
“Yes yes, now onto more important matters.” Voice made a gesture of dismissal while shepherding Twilight.
“We are currently in the Dreamscape, your body is still where we were.” Voice explained, drawing a worried look from Twilight.
“B-But won’t I freeze!?” She asked, worried for her safety.
“Don’t fret, we would have to be here for years for any amount of time to pass in the waking world.” Voice consoled her, patting her back companionably.
“I wish to help you, while I am still able to. So, I have a proposition for you.”
Twilight narrowed her eyes, suddenly suspicious of Voice. “And that is?”
“You wear this necklace, and I will provide you with these.” As he spoke, a necklace appeared in his hand, Twilight was covered in a thick cloak, a pack filled with a book on combat magic and an extendable staff.
“And what does the necklace DO exactly?” She asked, still suspicious.
“It prevents possessions and mind-reading, Can’t have people knowing I helped you.” Voice answered sincerely
“I… Guess I accept.” Twilight said hesitantly.
“Then let It be done…” With that, Voice snapped his fingers and the dreamscape faded away.

Twilight awoke wrapped in a heavy cloak, leaning against a tree. “Wah?” Twilight asked in a moment of confusion. “So I didn’t just imagine that?” She felt her neck, and sure enough, the necklace was there. Checking her bag, she confirmed that the book and staff were there.
“Why did Voice help me?” She asked aloud
"I can answer that!" He said, appearing next to the startled Unicorn.
"You interest me, and I'd like to see how your story ends, preferably a happy ending with all smiles and cuddles, but you never know."
Twilight stepped away from Voice, her features etched in confusion.
"W-What do you mean?"
Voice gave her an amused stare, then replied "You are the single most powerful being, besides myself, and Him, in the world. So your story is of particular interest to me. What will you do, who will you side with? All remains open, and I want to be there for ALL of it."
Twilight pondered this for a moment. "I'm not THAT powerful... Am I?"
Voice laughed aloud, then disappeared.
