I never thought the days would come that new sapient life would be discovered recently. Or that it would be me. The closest thing to new discovery would be the Novakids. But they blink in and out of existence, never fully staying with the rest of us. Something to do with their attention span limiting their relations with others.
But the day it happened, we were surprised. It was unintentional, and the physics worked different there. Supposedly, it was because of the region. No other region had the properties of the species home planet.
The world was called “Terra sapientes.” Which when translated to the ancient human Latin, meant “Land of the wise.” We’re still unsure of whether the name is actually latin, or if it’s just a coincidence. The language they speak has traces of latin speech in it, but is also unique itself.
But I could go rambling about all the weird things about this world, but without explaining my story or our interactions, you can’t get much trace about them.
So, in the end, we found a new race, A new planet with mysterious effects that would be hard to believe if I explained it up front And you found this.

I woke to the sound of blaring alarms. Not the usual, wake up alarms I set, or the intrusion alarms. This alarms was one I’ve never had to hear before.
“Oh fuck!” I exclaimed as I got off the hard floor. The air was okay, so the life support and inner hull were fine. But at this rate it wouldn’t matter
I stumbled over to the Cockpit. The Alarms still blaring above me telling me to do something about it. I opened the cockpit door and slammed my hand on the shutoff switch. I heard Speech coming through some speakers.
”Yo, Jordan, I’m in some deep shit right now. The Engines barely work and the slipspace drive isn’t functioning.”
“Yeah, I don’t think Mine work either,” I said speaking on the com. “Hold on, let me check.”
I moved over to the console where error messages continued to pop up. Shit. I didn’t think they did anything to us.” I thought as I moved to the window and got a look at the burst engine. We’re in some deep shit.
“Yeah, engines busting, drive busted,” I stated. “Got any word from Jackson?”
”Not yet, but I think his ship is open. Your beam still working?” Eric asked. ”I’m going over there to check.”
“Yeah, Mine’s still working,” I replied noticing something outside. “I’ll… Be there In a sec.”
I walked over to the window to get a good look. “Holy shit.”
I exited the beaming sequence and stepped onto Jackson’s ship.
“Yo guys, you wouldn’t believe…” I stopped speaking as I looked at the two who looked like they were in the middle of a brawl. “Uh yeah.”
“Yeah, Jackson refused to get up,” Eric stated.
“We’re pretty much doomed man, What else are we going to do?” Jackson blurted out.
“I’m with Jackson here,” Eric stated. “What are we going to do?”
“Well, you wouldn’t believe this. We are stranded, above a world.”
“My god that’s amazing. But it doesn’t sound that interesting, I’d rather die,” Jackson said.
“No, I swear this world is different. It doesn’t look like the average planet, it looks somewhat like Earth, just look outside.”
The Two went over to the nearest window and looked outside. Below us, they saw the world we were all orbiting.
“Holy shit man, you think we found Earth?” Eric exclaimed.
“No way, Earth was destroyed ages ago,” Jackson pointed out.
“Exactly, I think we found another planet similar to Earth.”
