Heart of Gold 3: Wedding Day (The Final Hearts and Hooves Day Special)

Wedding Day
It's been quite a shock to Twilight and her friends after the Cupid Pony's incident that Golden, Pinkie, Shining Armor, and Princess Cadance able to snapped them out of it including her and her now coltfriend Roland Gen. But what surprised them is the news that Pinkie and Golden announced. Yes, that's right; Golden and Pinkie are getting married! And guess what? It's happening today!
But there is...a slight problem.
"What do you mean nothing is ready!?" Golden said to Twilight, outraged.
Ever since the Cupid Pony incident that happened a few hours ago, everypony was so busy being all lovey-dovey to each other, nopony was able to work on the wedding preparations.
"You can thank the Cupid Pony for that." Twilight replied, disgruntled.
"Hey, hey, Twi, it's okay," Roland Gen began, "besides, at least some good came out of it."
"Yeah," Twilight giggles and blushes, "it did."
The two nuzzled each other affectionately-
"Will you guys please FOCUS?!" Golden yelled in his stressful state.
They quickly separated and stood at attention.
"The sun is about to go down in 6 hours, and we have a lot to do in very little time!"
"Right," Twilight agreed while levitating a piece of parchment, "and to make sure we stay on track, I developed a checklist of all the things we need for the wedding."
Golden snatched the checklist out of her telekinetic hold and looked it over.

"Can't you just ask for something like a normal pony being?" Twilight said, annoyed by Golden's actions.
"No time for asking! Time for action! I'll take Pinkie to Rarity's and she'll get her dress ready, you take the list and go over everything until I get back, let's go, go, GO!"
Golden tossed the parchment back to Twilight, who caught it with her telekinesis, and grabbed Pinkie flew at speeds that would make even Rainbow Dash proud. Twilight just sighed and began looking over the checklist once more with Roland following closely.
"Now don't you worry, Golden dearie, I'll have Pinkie ready for the wedding before you know it!" Rarity said, "Shoo-shoo, it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding."
"Okay then," Golden said, "after you're finished with Pinkie, finish up my tux and have it delivered to my house. See ya at the wedding!"
With that, Golden rushed out the door and flew back into Ponyville, meeting up with Twilight and Roland.
"Okay, how are we doing?" he asked.
"Well, I have Roseluck and her friends on flower detail, Octavia and Vinyl on music, I made sure all of the guests were coming...well, except for two." Twilight said.
Golden deadpanned, "My brother's still on that date with Starlight in Canterlot, right?"
"...Yes. But he sent me a message through his magic and said that he'll make it before the wedding starts."
"Okay, okay, good, good." Golden sighed exasperatedly, "We're really cutting it close, aren't we?"
"We have to make up for lost time, I even had to have Discord help; he's working on decorating Sugarcube Corner for the reception."
"And you trust him with that?" Golden asked, incredulously.
Twilight thought for a moment, then had a look of fearful realization, and broke into a speedy gallop with Golden and Roland following close behind. When they made it to the Cake's pastry shop, they rushed inside and noticed that it was decorated perfectly; white linen tablecloths adorned the tables with a flower arrangement on each one, silverware, plates, and glass cups sat neatly in their proper places, and a large, tall Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness, or MMMM, as Pinkie calls it, sat next to the punch bowl on the refreshment table.
Discord noticed them come in and waved to them, "Hello, my dear friends, so what do you think? I think it's my best work yet, despite it not being chaotic."
"It looks great!" Twilight cheered, but then blushed, "But, uh, eh-heh-heh, we kinda expected you would-"
"-Turn Sugarcube Corner into something cataclysmic?" Discord finished, "Oh, heavens, no, this is a special day, I'm not ALWAYS a chaotic, you know. Besides, Pinkie Pie has finally found somepony to love that she doesn't drive crazy."
"Yeah," Golden agreed, "anyway, Twilight, can I look at that checklist real quick?"
"Sure." Twilight hoofed him the list and he looked it over.

"Okay, good," Golden began, "Rarity should handle Pinkie's preparations, I'll go home and see if she delivered my tux."
"Wait!" Roland stopped him before he flew off again, "What about your preparations?"
Golden smirked, "I thought you'd never ask," he walked up to his friend, "Roland, since my brother is busy at the moment, how would you like to be my Best Stallion for this wedding?"
Roland was slack-jawed at Golden's offer, "You...want me...to be your Best Stallion?" Golden nodded. "But...what about your brother?"
"He'll be a groomspony." Golden said simply, "And as for you, Twilight," he turned to her, "I'd like you to be my Best Mare alongside Roland."
Twilight was astonished, "You want ME to be your Best Mare?!"
Golden shrugged, "Why not? You've been a good friend to me ever since I arrived here, so you totally deserve it."
Twilight squee'd and said "YES!" several times while bouncing around, Golden remembered that she acted this way when she first got her Cutie Mark.
He chuckled at her antics, "Well, I better get ready for my wedding, c'mon Roland. See you guys later!"
Golden and Roland left Twilight and Discord to their own devices as the two stallions prepared themselves for the big day.
After returning home and getting ready, Golden, clad in a white tuxedo with a pink tie, and Roland, dressed in a tuxedo a lighter gray than his coat and a white tie, made their way to City Hall, where the wedding was taking place. Roland held the door open for Golden, who thanked him, and the two made their way to the alter, patiently waiting for Golden's bride to be. Soon enough, the doors opened to reveal Pinkie Pie herself, dressed in a beautiful white wedding dress and light pink veil atop her head, with the Cutie Mark Crusaders as the flower fillies, they dropped flower petals in Pinkie's path as she walked to the alter.
You smile warmly, not only proud that the little fillies finally got their Cutie Marks, but happy that he gets to marry his beloved. He will always be forever grateful that Pinkie helped him that one Hearts and Hooves Day where he was at his lowest. The bond the two of them have will last for all eternity and even beyond that.
Pulling himself out of his reverie, he noticed Pinkie made it to the alter and they stood next to each other, staring into each other's eyes. Mayor Mare, who was also Golden's adoptive mother, cleared her throat as she prepared to wed the two lovebirds.
"Fillies and gentlecolts," she began, "we are gathered here today to celebrate the matrimony of Golden Flare, Ponyville's resident storywriter, and Pinkie Pie, Ponyville's resident party planner. Pinkie Pie, do you wish to take Golden, my son, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
With tears in her eyes, Pinkie said, "I do."
Mayor Mare turned to Golden, "And do you, Golden Flare, take Pinkie to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
This was it. Golden will now say the two words that will seal his and Pinkie's souls together forever. Though that sounds bad to certain stallions, Golden was completely alright with it, because he never met a pony like Pinkie.
"...I do."
Mayor Mare smiled, "Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Pinkie swiftly planted a kiss on Golden's lips, which he gladly returned. The crowd cheered loudly for the newly wedded couple, the princesses just clapped enthusiastically, Lloyd and Starlight made it just before Mayor Mare began her speech.
"Aww, don't they make a cute couple?" Starlight cooed.
"Yeah. But they'll never compare you." Lloyd complemented.
"Oh, you charmer." she giggles.
The reception went off without a hitch; everypony enjoyed the cake and fruit punch, especially when Discord made the cake come to life and take off three slices of itself and with newly grown arms, it juggled the slices of cake while the spirit of chaos played circus music in the background. The time came for the bride and groom's dance, so the music changed to a slow song, everypony had a partner; Roland and Twilight, Lloyd and Starlight, and many others.
Without a doubt, it was a wedding to remember.
The next morning...
"Mmm...hey, Goldie?"
"Yeah, Pinks?"
"I'm..."
"...?"
"I'm pregnant."
