Prolog
My name is Lance Miller. I am an ex Navy Seal Sniper now Princess Luna's Husband and personal guard. Right now I am in Princess Luna’s room in Canterlot. “LANCE WHAT ARE YOU DOING???” Luna called in her Royal Voice while searching for him.
“I am making a video to send back to Earth sweety.” I yelled.
“Ok but Lance where are you?” asked Luna.
“I am in our room honey.” I said. Anyways back to what I was saying before I was interrupted. You are wondering how I got here right? Well that is a funny story but let's start at the beginning. I was in Iraq on a rescue mission.
Lance’s POV:
“This is Alpha come in Delta Squad.” I called. (Over radio)
“Alpha this is Delta Squad moving into position any signs of hostages or enemies?” responded Delta One.
“5 enemy soldiers at the gate and one enemy turret so far that I am able to see.” I radioed.
“Okay Alpha, Delta Squad---”
“Hold position Delta Squad enemy sniper has been detected.” I reported.
“Affirmative holding position.” said Delta One. All of the sudden I sees a bright light with some sort of loud bang and I am knocked unconscious. Darkness takes over my world.
Luna's POV:
Luna was looking at the night sky when she notices a bright flash behind her. She looks over and notices a strange creature with hand and some kind of weird armor she has never seen before. Plus it is bleeding ON HER BEDROOM FLOOR!!! But then a feeling of worry comes of the Princess of Night. “Maybe I should keep this creature hidden until it wakes up and take care of it.” Luna thought. “Yes excellent idea. Anyways Cadences wedding is tomorrow so I should get some sleep to get ready for it.” Luna thought.
The next day
The Changelings have invaded. They defeated my sister, me, and the Elements of Harmony. Who is going to save us.
Lance’s POV: In his mind
What is going to happen to me? What has happened to my squad? Why do I feel like I have been shot by my own gun? WHY DO I HEAR THIS ANNOYING BUZZING?!?!?!
Battle for Canterlot Pt. 1

Lance’s POV:
I raise my M4A1 Assault Rifle and shoots around at Chrysalis feet or should it be hooves. And she jumps back at the unexpected cloud of dust at her hooves. “I am only giving you one last warning before the next shot is your horn,” I ordered. “I am afraid that I cannot agree to those term creature, but I will be giving and give you a quick and painless death,” said Chrysalis. She shot a green beam of magic at me. But I dodged and shot a few round into her horn. Chrysalis screamed in pain like she being killed in bloody murder. I put down my gun and told Chrysalis one more time.
“Chrysalis stop you attack immediately and I WILL NOT KILL YOU,” I told Chrysalis. “NO, I WILL NOT GIVE IN TO YOUR THREATS. I WILL TAKE OVER CANTERLOT AND THEN ALL OF EQUESTRIA. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!” Shouted Chrysalis. All of the sudden a pink light is behind me. I look and see another pony like Chrysalis but pink and no holes and fangs with a white unicorn. I just got a serious sense of de Sha voo when I saw that they were in the shape of a heart. Love beats evil ha. It is a gun that beats evil. Then I hear a scream and I look behind me to see the flash of light to become a force pushing all of the Changelings along with Chrysalis out of Canterlot.
“Well, thanks for your kind introduction Applejack other than that Pegasus over there.” I point to Rainbow Dash as she began to blush. “I am Sergeant Lance Miller of the United States Navy Seals. I am the sniper in my squad.” I said while shaking her hoof. “Hi,” said a purple unicorn with a purple mane with a purple and pink highlight in it. “I am Twilight Sparkle. I am the Proud student of…” she said just then remembering something. “PRINCESS CELESTIA! YOU HAVE TO HELP HER SHE IS HURT!” Shouted Twilight. “I will don’t worry.” I walk over to the white pony and pull out my first aid kit. “Twilight what type of species are here by the way,” I ask while working on Princess Celestia. “Oh well, Princess Celestia is something you would call and Alicorn. She is a mixture of an Earth pony like Applejack and Pinkie Pie, a pegasus like Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, and a unicorn like me and Rarity” said Twilight. “Ok all done here,” I said. “Give her a few days rest and she will be as right as rain.” Twilight gives me an odd look. “It is a figure of speech it means she will be as well as she was before this incident,” I said.
“Oh,” said Twilight. “Well I should introduce you to the rest of my friends,” said Twilight. “This is Rarity,” she said as she pointed to the white unicorn with the purple curly mane and tail. “Charm Darling and if you ever stop by the Carousel Boutique in ponyville I will give a new pair of clothes for free so you don’t have to wear those rags all around the place,” she said. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and continued on with the introductions. Glad she couldn't see through my sunglasses. “This is Fluttershy she is as you can guess very shy,” Twilight said. I took off my Ghillie suit and my mask to show my scared face to Fluttershy. “It is okay I promise I will not hurt you but instead protect you. You don’t have anything to worry about okay.” I said in a calm and soothing voice. Then the most unexpected thing happened. Fluttershy jumped out from behind Twilight and starts crying in my chest. Then I start to comfort her. “Sh sh sh. It’s okay. It’s okay.” I said and a soothing and calming voice. “Thank you for saving me and my friends from those evil Changelings,” Fluttershy said with thankfulness in her voice. All of her friends look at her wide-eyed and their jaws dropped to the ground. I guess they would never guess her to do something like that. Then I look back at Twilight and tell her to continue while I am calming down Fluttershy. "Next is Rainbow Dash” But Twilight is rudely interrupted by her. “I am Rainbow Dash the Greatest and fastest flyer in all of Equestria. And I do not trust you for one second after all of that. So I got my eye on you.” Rainbow says. “Well, Skittles I would like to see you go against one of our fighter Jets. They can go three times the speed of sound.” I said with a smirk. Rainbow looks dumbfounded as well as the rest of the girls. “Wait why did you call me Skittles.” Asked Rainbow. “Well, your mane reminds me of a candy back on Earth. Skittles. Their motto is “Taste the Rainbow.”” I said. That causes the girls to giggle and Rainbow to blush like mad.

Metting Royalty
Luna’s POV:
I watch as Lance is introduced to the Elements of Harmony. I walk up behind him and see the others bowing. Lance looks around and sees me. He quickly jumps up and goes into a sharp salute. “Lance at ease,” I said. As I say that he puts both hands behind his back and his legs spread apart. “Sergeant Lance I want to personally thank you for the help in the defense of Canterlot,” I said. “I was defending the innocent ma’am.” Instantly replied Lance. “Lance you don’t have to act so formally around me. I am easy going. You don’t have to go all military on me” I say. When I say that he relaxes and blushes while rubbing the back of his neck. “Sorry ma’am it is just after so many years in the military it is like muscle memory to me,” Lance says. “By the way, Lance just call me Luna,” I say. “Ok ma... I mean Luna,” Lance replies quickly correcting himself. “Lance I would like to have a personal bodyguard. But I have yet to find one. Would you like to fill in that position Lance?” I ask. Lance returns to a solute. “I would love to Luna. By the way, thanks for putting me in you bed while you were gone.” He said. I blush. “How did you figure that out,” I ask embarrassed. “Well, the room was like the night sky. By the way which is my favorite time just so you know. And I say that tattoo on you flank so it was relatively easy to what I normally do.” I look astounded. Another person who loves the night. Maybe I and he will get along very well.
Lance’s POV:
I am standing beside Luna at Cadences and Shining Armor’s wedding. I was told who it was by Luna. I have my M4A1 Assault Rifle out and at attention by Luna’s side. “Do you Princess Mi Amora Cadenza...Cadence is just fine.” Cadence interrupted Celestia. “Ok, do you Cadence take Shinning Armor as you husband,” Celestia said. “I do.” said Cadence. “And do you...I do.”" said Shining as he interrupted Celestia. “I now pronounce you mare and stallion. You may kiss the bride.” Celestia says as they both kiss. I start to clap along with everybody else. I am by the dance floor with Luna as I ask her. “Do you want to dance,” I say. Luna blushes as she answers. “Sure,” replies Luna. We both go out on the dance floor and start to dance.
“You are a really good dancer Luna,” I say. “You are not half bad yourself Lance.” Says Luna. I blush but it is hidden behind my mask. “Thanks,” I say. As we go off the dance floor I get dragged to the stage by Pinkiepie and I'm told to sing. " Ahem I just want to say that the song I will be singing is called Ashes of Eden by Breaking Benjamin. OK hit it."
