Marble thrust her muzzle gently onto Big Mac's cheek.

"I can't wait for my next visit," Big Mac whispered into her ear.

The gray pony looked up at him, her purple eyes gentle from her love for him. "Mhm," she answered, her voice squeaking slightly, as it always had when she uttered her usual phrase. The two ponies pulled away from each other, and turned. Big Mac, before joining his family at the train station, looked back at Marble walking towards her own family, who were ready to go back home. He smiled, remembering the earth pony's embrace, and turned.

The red stallion waited with his family, and Pinkie, for the train to come.

"When will we visit again, granny?" Applebloom asked, excitement filling her words. "Ah'm really starting to like Limestone. She's really nice!"

"Nice?" Applejack echoed, slight shock in her words. "Ah like Limestone, too, but ah don't think nice is the right word to describe her personality. She's definitely a dependable pony, but ah would describe her as fierce much before nice."

Big Mac silently agreed with Applejack's statement. He remembered how Limestone had threatened to hurt him if he ever let her sister down.

"Well, you gotta get to know 'er first," Applebloom countered.

"I completely agree with Applebloom!" Pinkie Pie declared.

"Alright, alright," Applejack said. "Granny, why don'tcha answer Applebloom's question?"

"Oh, yeah. To answer your question, Applebloom, I would say about three weeks," Granny Smith said. "After all, it will be Maud's birthday."

Applebloom was satisfied by this answer, judging by her wide grin. Although, her excitement couldn't compare to Big Mac's. Despite the fact that he barely showed it, happiness filled every inch of his body.

Suddenly, the shrieking sound of a train approaching grew louder, until it came to a shrieking stop in front of them. All five ponies walked onto the train, finding a seat and sitting. Big Mac soon became lost in a tidal wave of thought. He remembered how difficult the Pies had been after announcing he had loved Marble. The family only let them date because it wasn't clear if they were family at all. The fact that Marble couldn't bare not being able to love Big Mac most likely had something to do with it, as well. It seemed the Pies were the only ones who cared about it too much. Pinkie and his family were completely fine with it. They even supported it. Even Applejack and Pinkie's friends were okay with it. Twilight and Rarity congratulated him. Rainbow Dash cheered. Fluttershy gave a feeble 'good for you two.' He knew she was happy for him. She was just a quiet pony. Suddenly, the train stopped, interrupting Big Mac's thoughts. He, Pinkie, Applejack, Applebloom, and Granny Smith all got off, and made their way to the farm.

One week later, Pinkie got a letter requesting her find the Apples and get to the Pie household, due to urgent news they had to share. Pinkie quickly got the Apples and rushed them onto the train, curiosity filling her to the brim.

The ponies rushed to the house, and ran inside, not even thinking to knock.

"Mother? Father?" Pinkie called, urgently.

"Coming," Cloudy Quartz called, with a sniffle. She walked into the room, heart-breaking sadness visible on her face.

Pinkie rushed to her mother;s side. "Mother, what's wrong? I've never seen you so upset!" Pinkie wailed, clearly not pleased seeing someone so close to her so sad.

Cloudy sighed, and said, "follow me."

The five followed her into the next room, where all of the Pies, except for Marble, were gathered. Their faces displayed sadness, regret, and sorrow. The great disturbance on Big Mac's face was visible. Did something happen to her?

"What's happened?" Pinkie repeated, even sadder seeing one of her beloved sisters were not in the room.

Cloudy Quartz started, "It would seem... that-" She was interrupted by a burst of tears and sobs coming from herself. She couldn't finish. Her husband rushed to her comfort.

"Marble was accused of murder. Sh-she is to be executed," Limestone explained before burying her face into Maud's shoulder, starting to sob. The Apples stared in horror, as Maud tried her hardest to stay strong and not break down in tears. Pinkie Piejust stared, shock in her eyes.

"P-Pinkie, it'll be okay," Applejack said, walking towards her. Pinkie still stared, not moving. Before Applejack could hug her distraught best friend, Applebloom started bawling. Granny Smith and Applejack rushed to her side. Big Mac took Applejack's place, to hug Pinkie. Both of their worlds were crumbling.

Pinkie still didn't move. Although, she silently uttered, "no."
