In which Fluttershy is afraid and traumatized by her friend.
Rarity was approaching Fluttershy's house as the wind picked up slightly carrying the particular smell of some of the animals that live around the property. Wrinkling her nose at it she knocked daintily on the door. She heard a small "Eep!" as her friend was startled at the arrival of her expected guest.
"Be right there." A timid voice said. A moment later the door cracked open showing a yellow face framed by pink hair. "Oh Rarity. I was just finishing getting the hoof food for our tea time together." Fluttershy remarked as she opened the door fully to let her friend in.
The white unicorn walked in and proceeded over to the couch and coffee table that had a few plates set up on it with small sandwiches and other treats on it.
"These are delightful darling. I brought some tea imported from Hoof Kong. It came recommended from one of my clients in Canterlot." She said while using her magic to pull out a small box from a bag she was carrying. Using a hoof to brush her purple curly mane to one side.
"I'll go get the teapot ready." Fluttershy stated as she trotted over to her kitchen. Rarity could hear some water pouring as she filled up the kettle, just before a thumping sound could be heard. "Angel, be a little patient, once I have this going I'll get your snack prepared."
Rarity nabbed one of the minute morsels on the table and lightly tossing it into her mouth enjoying the taste of it. Flutteryshy returned and placed a small bowl of greens artistically prepared on the end of the table as her little pet bunny hopped up and began nibbling on the contents. Shortly a whistle was heard as the kettle started steaming.
Fluttershy jumped lightly before realizing that the water was ready. She went into the kitchen and returned carefully balancing a tray with the teapot and a couple teacups on it. As Rarity watched her place the tray on the table, she opened her tea box and removed two little bags containing a mix of leaves in it.
"So dear how have you been?" She asked as she placed a bag each into the teacups.
"Just fine. I had a small family of ferrets move in, their prior house got flooded so I'm helping them find a new place to live. Anything exciting happen to you?" Fluttershy replied as she poured the water over the teabags, leaving some room in the cup.
"Oh yes. This one mare wanted a dress for a big party she was throwing. She wanted enough it sparkly enough to act as a disco ball." Rarity started on a long speech about all the various outfits she'd made recently and some of her customers as Fluttershy listened raptly.
After a couple minutes when the tea was properly steeped she removed the bags, dipping them a couple times before placing them in a small dish for later disposal. Pausing in their discussion to taste the tea. Fluttershy opened a small pot and used a spoon nearby it to put a little honey into her cup. Rarity blew on the tea lightly to cool it down.
As they took another sip an odd fragrance wafted into Rarity's nose. Taking a light sniff she figured that the scent came from Fluttershy. As she was wondering about it, a small furry figure leapt from her friend's mane to the back of the couch before running off.
"Fluttershy, what just jumped from your head?"
"That was probably the baby ferret. He was taking a nap while his parents are relaxing." She replied as a breeze came in from a window giving Rarity a real whiff of the smell hanging about Flutteryshy.
"Darling just what is that arouma surrounding you?"
Fluttershy took a light sniff of herself. "Oh, you must be smelling all my animal friends on my."
"Well it certainly isn't a smell suitably for a lady. We must do something about it. You wouldn't want to discourage any nice stallions now."
"Well the spa is closed for the week due to renovations. Surely it can wait until then, and I am not really looking for a stallion friend." She hesitantly said as she tried to slowly move away from Rarity, not liking the look in her friend's eye.
"Well I have some shampoo as well as some mane and tail product that will make you smelling wonderful." Rarity said as she took another drink of her tea.
"Well just send it over and I'll be sure to get cleaned up." Fluttershy remarked as she reached the end of the couch.
"Oh I have an Idea. How about I treat you to a little makeover. I have all the stuff to give you a nice spa experience." Rarity said as she turned to look at the pegasus.
"Well... Um, I'm just... uh... very busy today. Don't have *gulp* the time right now. Thanks for coming over." Fluttershy said as she got off the couch and was ready to bolt. She had heard what Rarity did to Applejack and was very wary about what she feared was going to happen now.
"Nonsense, we scheduled our tea time today specifically because you had nothing else planned. In fact I have most of the stuff already set up so if you would just come along with me." The unicorn said as she started to power up her horn, knowing that her friend was likely to bolt.
Fluttershy noting that Rarity's horn was glowing tried to take flight but only barely got off the ground before being caught by her friend's magic.
Rarity started towards the door toting her friend along behind her when a blur at the corner of her eye distracted her. Throwing up a magic shield scarcely caught a bowl of various greens from landing on her face. She saw Angel standing on the end of the table having thrown his snack at her.
She then noticed that she was no longer holding Fluttershy in her magic. Turning around she caught sight of a pink tail escaping through a window. Bolting out the door and she gave chase to her friend.
Fluttershy flew as fast as she could, but she could only just keep out of range of Rarity's ability to fully grasp her with magic. She noticed a cloud up ahead figuring that she could hide in or on it she bolted towards it.
As she plunged through the cloud from below she encountered a solid body.
"GAH!" Yelped a blue form as the yellow pegasus collided with it. "Oh Fluttershy, what's got you into such a tizzy?"
As she recovered from the accident, Fluttershy noticed that she had hit Rainbow Dash, who was likely using the cloud to take a nap. "Rarity, she's after me to try and clean me like she did Applejack."
Rainbow yawned as she processed what she was just told. "I'll try to talk to her, see if I can calm her down." She then flew down to where the unicorn was glaring at the cloud, in obvious thought.
"Rarity could you leave Fluttershy alone. You're likely to traumatize her." The rainbow maned pegasus said.
"Rainbow dear, have you smelled her? She needs a good deodourizing and since the spa is closed, I might as well do it myself." She replied, just before channeling a magic blast through her horn at the cloud.
Rainbow Dash watched as the magic bolt hit the cloud causing it to be dispersed. Fluttershy shrieked as she fell a few feet before catching herself and quickly flying away. Rarity immediately gave chase.
"Rarity, if you go to far you will have me to contend with." She shouted at her friend.
About a half hour later Flutteryshy ducking into a very leafy tree, hoping she had lost her pursuer after having ducking through a forest for a little bit. Taking several deeps breaths to relax as she felt tired from all the exercise. As such she was caught unaware by Rarity's magic.
Luckily they weren't too far from where Rarity had set up the bath stuff she had previously used on Applejack, with a few new additions in it.
Holding Fluttershy in her magic Rarity proceeded to get the bath setup by hoof so as not to lose hold on her friend.
The yellow pegasus had curled up into a ball, and had started to lightly weep at what was about to happen. Once the bath was ready she was lowered into the water, it being slightly chilly, before getting various things mixed into her hair and scrubbed. Eventually a bunch of new water was dumped over her to was away all the soap suds and foam leaving behind a soaking wet but clean and fresh smelling pony.
Rarity lifted her out of the water and used a towel to start drying her friend off. Though as soon as she realized she wasn't being held by magic anymore Fluttershy flew off back towards her house.
Rainbow Dash had only just found a new cloud to replace her previous napping cloud when she saw a yellow and pink streak flying by. Quickly catching up she noticed that her friend was still soaking wet and crying.
Thinking for a quick moment she decided it'd be best not to say anything at the moment and just flew by her friend. They landed at Fluttershy's house and went inside. Rainbow Dash looked about the place as Fluttershy went upstairs to hide in her bed. Several of her animal friends following her.
Rainbow hung about for a while, occasionally going and checking on her friend until she heard a knocking on the door.
"My dear Fluttershy, you wouldn't believe the prank I just pulled on Celestia." Said a male voice outside.
Rainbow went up to the door and opened it to let Discord in, mainly to be polite as she knew he could just have appeared inside.
"Fluttershy isn't really feeling good right now. Rarity decided that she needed to give Fluttershy a bath like what she did to Applejack the other week. She rather frightened right now, though maybe you can help me get her back." Rainbow said with a slightly evil glint in her eye, as the glint jumped over to Discord.
"Oh most definately, so what do you have in mind?"

Tried to think of a good horse pun for China, or some place in China. Hoof Kong was the best I came up with while writing this. If a better one gets presented I'll change it and credit the person here in the notes.
