I'm not leaving you now or ever
Hardcover sat at his desk, straitening his papers so the corners matched perfectly with each other. Waiting for Twilight to visit always got him nervous, and that always made him behave even more OCD than usual. On the left corner of his desk was his favorite picture in a black frame. He hated having his picture taken, be it for a school ID or his mother being proud of something he did, but Twilight had convinced him to make an exception when they had their second date at the fair.
He picked up the framed photograph, inspecting it for dust. He always cleaned it with a fresh cloth at least once a day. In his mind dust or worse still a smudge on the glass was sacrilege. Ok, that might be a bit far, but he was nervous as he always was waiting for her to arrive forgive him for being a bit overboard. He smiled at the image. They had been in one of those photo booths that were so cheesy and typical of dates. He had been expecting she would just smile for the camera like he had but instead just before the picture was taken she had turned his head and kissed him.
Call it crazy, but that kiss was when he realized he was in love with the geeky girl. Her soft lips had held a great deal of nervous energy when they made contact. Hardcover smiled slightly, he'd been shocked when that happened. Out of all the things he'd imagined happening on that date, getting a kiss, let alone her being the one to make it happen was right near the bottom.
The next several photos on the reel showed him go from red faced to kissing her back. That was their first kiss, and he was eternally grateful such a sappy and cliché moment had happened. After that moment when he realized how special she was to him he'd tried to step up his game as best he could. When she said yes to a third date at the end of the day at the fair he immediately started thinking of how to make sure he didn't screw up.
Hardcover snickered to himself. That had been both the best and not so best of days. First, he was late for school because he had passed out at four in the morning trying to figure out what to do that night. Then, late for school, he had crashed into the one the only Mr. Cranky Doodool and spilled his coffee on his shirt while running to class. Needless to say, he got detention which threw a monkey wrench into his plans for the evening. To make matters worse, he would have been the only person in detention on a Friday had Twilight not found out.
His face heated up at the next part of the memory. The sweet girl "Accidently" was caught without a hall pass and got detention with him. The funny part about it though was that with her track record for good behavior she almost had to beg Miss. Cheerilee to give her detention since she would have gotten off scot free. That had been the pinnacle of Twilight's bad girl days, only to be nearly rivaled by the time she forgot the restroom pass in second grade.
Hardcover had spent all night trying to plan a date just to end up with them in detention together. "Gee I'm prince charming aren't I?" Still that ended up leading to the discovery of a great way to spend time together. It took Twilight Sparkle to make a Friday night study date fun. That and Miss. Cheerilee being perceptive, in charge of detention, and a fan of romance. It took him a while to realize that the librarian's unnatural obsession with coffee breaks that took around fifteen minutes each was more than a mere quirk in her character.
Twilight had moved her desk next to him and by the end of detention, and their joint study day they were practically cuddling in the detention room. They were "set free" at five thirty and spent the next few hours in the school library reading together on the couch in the lounge area. Hardcover still didn't understand how students could have such easy access to the library, let alone the school after hours. Maybe that explained the bed shaped stack of books upstairs?
Eventually Hardcover took a break from reading the first book in "the Lord of the Rings" and on her request read to Twilight out of a quaint little book called "My Side of the Mountain." Before he knew it he had his arm around her and her head on his shoulder and that was when they had there first kiss that well was a bit more...energetic?
The next date-oh, meeting the parents-is always the worst. Of course the baby book came out. Of course it was humiliating, and of course it got back to Twilights friends. Thank goodness they had the tact to keep it to themselves. Well, all except Rainbowdash. To this day there were moments where he grit his teeth in anger when he saw her. To put things simply Hardcover used to have an overbite that some would say his best friend Hayseed Turnip Truck would cringe at.
Meeting Twilights parents? He had nightmares of all the things that could go wrong all four days after the date was set. He had an OCD overload the day of the dinner at her house. He'd made a check list of things to do that could almost compare to one of Twilights. He must have used half a stick of deodorant that day too.
But when their parents met each other...by the sun and moon that was a day that wouldn't end. Hardcover shook his head at the memory. He was not in a hurry to remember the embarrassment of that day. It's amazing how long adults could talk about what the grandkids would look like. It could only be rivaled by how oblivious they seemed to the discomfort of both parties' offspring.
In an effort to push the memory away he searched his mind's eye for another part of their past together. Last Hearthswarming day was one he was fond of. Less than several hours till Hearth's Warming eve and he'd no idea of what to do. Leave it to Hardcover to fall in the classic predicament of not knowing what to get his loved one for the holiday.
He couldn't just get her a book. Of all the things to get her that was probably the worst minefield to tread. With a collection like hers he could steal the Tardis, go back in time to the library of Alexneighdria, and still not be able to find one she didn't own. Maybe he wasn't asking the right question? Maybe he should focus on what the gift would mean rather than the gift itself? Fingers crossed.
Hearth's Warming day rolled around with a good seven inch snow fall the night before. Hardcover had been borderline paranoid of hidden Ice on the walk to Twilights House. If he had gotten the gift wet, he wouldn't have been able fix it. When Twilight first realized it was a book she seemed happy. When she realized what the book was and what it was for she teared up.
It wasn't a book on math or science. It wasn't a book of poetry or stories. It was a brown leather bound journal almost a thousand pages thick. Inside were pictures, notes, comments, and crude but heartfelt sketches. All of them images or little thoughts about their time as friends and as a couple.
After turning pages for a good while Twilight found blank ones. That was when hardcover explained the book was in a way meant for both of them. They would pass it back and fourth on their study dates, leaving notes and the like for each other, and when they could, add to it together. That was probably one of the best moves he had made in their time together.
Hardcover was broken from his revier by a knock at his door. Setting the picture back in its place at a perfect angle so the corners matched the edge of where the glass on the desk met the metal frame, he approached and opened the door. The lavender skinned girl with thick black glasses and multi colored hair in a bun stood on the doorstep to his studio apartment.
"Hello Dear," she greeted.
"Hey love."
He opened the door wider to let her in, holding a hand out to take her backpack assumedly holding the math and science books for their Friday study session. Of all the things that Hardcover was bad at, math and science took first place. Well, that and Skiing. He still had nightmares sometimes about his third grade field trip to the slopes. He would be greatly surprised if he could ever have children after that day.
Taking the backpack from her he sat it on his desk before grabbing her in a hug which was quickly returned. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek before letting go earning small giggle in return as she straitened her glasses.
"You want some tea or coffee? I have the kettle on but didn't know which you'd want."
"Tea if you have Earl Grey I guess," She answered as she sat on the couch.
Pouring two mugs and adding a tea bag to each, Hardcover looked over his shoulder at Twilight. After being with her this long he knew when something was bothering her. Little things like Twirling her hair could indicate stress or nervousness, glancing at the floor as well. At the moment she was doing both. Hardcover walked over and joined her, handing over the mug in his left hand as he sat down. Twilight accepted it with both hands and reclined resting her head on the back of the couch.
"So how are your brother and Cadence doing?"
"They're good. Cadence told me yesterday that she just found out she's pregnant."
"Wow, congratulations Auntie Twilight!" He said, smiling rather cheekily.
When she didn't laugh or smile at the comment, Hardcover started to worry a bit. Usually he could at least coax a grin out of her with little quips like that.
"Twilight are you ok? You seem troubled."
She released a small sigh and looked at the ceiling briefly before turning her gaze to him.
"I got a letter from Manehattan University yesterday. They're offering me a full scholarship."
Hardcover slowly nodded, looking down into his slowly steeping tea. I knew sooner or later this day would come.
"It's one of the best schools in the country, I'm really happy for you." He replied.
"I told my parents I don't want to go."
"What? Why?"
"I couldn't go, we'd be several states apart. I'd see you maybe once every few months. I don't want to go that long without seeing you."
There was a long pause before Hardcover spoke.
"You should go."
"But we'll hardly be able to see each other anymore!"
"I'll move, we can share a flat I'll find a job and-"
"Hardcover, I can't ask you to do that!"
"For one why not? for another-"
"You hate the city, All your family is here, the job you love is here, all your friends are here!"
"If you're not here, then I don't want to be either!"
"That's why I won't go! I'm not going to make you uproot your entire life so I can spend four years in collage while you work a high school degree job to pay rent for us!"
"Twilight your not asking me to leave my life I'm telling you I want to because then we can have a future together maybe even a family some day!"
The room fell silent as they stared at each other for a long moment. Twilight swallowed and made eye contact all she saw in his orbs was honesty in his previous statement. Hardcover swallowed too and continued.
"Twilight, I have no allusions that I'll get a four year degree and a job with enormous pay. You and I both know with the grades I have I'll be lucky to get into a small town college off the smart phone GPS map. Tartarus only knows why you care about an idiot like me when you're so damn smart you make Celestia look dumb, but I love you more than enough to spend a few years in a drab grey city if it means we don't have to stop seeing each other!"
A few tears welled up in both parties eyes before Twilight gave a small dry sob. Hardcover put his hands on her arms in gentle but firm grip resting his forehead on hers. He'd wanted to say this for a long while, and the thought of them having to stop being together because of them going to separate schools had weighed heavily on his mind for months now. The words he spoke had been chosen with care over hours of sleepless nights worrying about the future. Shakily he spoke up.
"I decided a damn good while ago I didn't want anyone but you for me. Tartarus I think I knew when you kissed me on our second date."
"Hardcover you-"
"No, I have to say this all now or I never will because I'll be too scared to. Twilight if I had the money I'd buy the Damn ring right now! It's completely crazy and stupid, we haven't even finished high school yet but I love you and I'm not gonna let you go just because I've got a few minor things keeping me here. Not when the one major, most important thing in the world to me can go somewhere else to learn from one of the country's best schools."
The sobs from Twilight were audible now as Hardcover wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug resting his chin on her head, his left hand on the back of her head quietly holding her before he started crying too. They stayed like that for a while unsure of how much time was passing them by. Finally Twilight spoke up.
"Do you know how crazy this is? You basically just offered to marry me and we haven't even gotten out of high school!"
"Twilight if you haven't realized I'm nuts by now than I'm frankly shocked with an IQ like yours."
She let out a few short laughs and pounded a fist once on his shoulder. "You're a complete idiot."
"Ya I get that a lot."
"I mean you've done and said stupid things before, but this is a whole new level," she said, cracking a smile against his chest."
"Ya sometimes I wonder how I can remember the controls to my PC games."
Twilight started to snicker.
"I mean on Shadow of Mordor I have to remember it's right mouse button to block and left to attack."
Twilight started giggling.
"And don't get me started on the W, S, A, D keys to move! I mean I'm surprised I don't need AJ to make one of her worry wart sister lists just to kill a single Uruk, and here I am wanting you to marry me."
Twilight was struggling to stay in control of her laughter at this point.
"Oh and the Uruk War chiefs all the extra HP and special abilities. Killing one of them is just short of rocket science to me."
Twilight burst into uncontrollable laughter squeezing him in a nearly painful embrace. Hardcover started laughing too before returning the embrace nearly as tightly for a moment before holding her at arms length.
"Twilight sparkle, the smartest girl in Canterlot, probably the world, and she picks an Idiot like me for a boyfriend."
"Who else could love me the way you do?"
Twilight leaned in, as did Hardcover, kissing her lips softly before hearing a small moan come from her mouth before she opened hers, sliding her tongue against his lips until it gained entry. She could feel him smiling just as hard as she was into the kiss as his arms wrapped around her. All the nights on the couch watching bad movies, The hours studying together, The dates out and holding hands on the way to class and lunch. All the memories came flooding into her mind as they kissed.
He loved her, he really did, and he meant everything he had said. This was more than him committing four years of collage to her. This was him committing his life to her. Tartarus if she asked for him to do anything he probably would. She had heard love was blind but this was love without eyes or the other four senses. "Wow, that was incredibly cheesy." She broke the kiss and leaned her forehead on his with her eyes closed, thinking for a moment. Her mind made up she drove him into the cushions peppering his face and neck with kisses much to Hardcover's surprise.
"Twilight what are you-"
The lavender girl jumped up grabbing his face in her hands and kissing him passionately. She separated from him revealing a both shocked and exasperated Hardcover before grabbing his shirt collar and pulling him over towards the bed. Grabbing his shoulders she threw him forward sending him onto his rear before jumping up and straddling him, kissing and sucking on his neck in a manner sure to leave marks for the next few days.
Before he could even react to this he felt her working on the zipper to his jeans. His eyes opened wide as he realized what was happening. Grabbing her shoulders he fell back onto the bed pulling her down with him before bringing her face up to look at her slightly dryer eyes.
"Twilight are you sure about this?"
"I haven't been this sure about something since the last time I solved a basic algebra problem."
"You are completely and utterly adorkable."
"I know."
She leaned in and kissed him again, pulling back sucking on his upper lip as he sucked on her lower. Each separation lead to a light smack before each lunged at each other again fingers running through each others hair, lips sliding past each other over and over. The sound of quiet moaning and labored breath filled the apartment as each tried to pull the other closer than physically possible. Gasping they pulled apart.
"Love you Twilight!"
"I love you too!"
She lunged forward all but ripping his jeans off and boxers with them before reaching for his shirt. Hardcover fumbled with her shirt buttons as quickly as he could while trying not to damage her clothing. Pulling it off he moved for her bra next. Thank goodness it was a snap on, the waiting was becoming agonizing. He had taken so long to get her shirt off that she had removed her own skirt while he worked on her bra. They took a moment to look at each other before entering another deep kiss as Twilight leaned on her left arm, grabbing his member in her right hand, stroking it at a steady pace.
Bringing his hand up, Hardcover began sliding his hands over her panties. The fabric was practically drenched as he massaged the sensitive skin through her clothes. Moving the article aside he ran his middle finger a bit deeper than the others. Twilight let out a gentle coo from his motions as she sped up her movements. Hardcover was not going to last long at this pace. Trying to bring her to her own fall he pushed his middle and then index finger into her, the first getting a moan the second a gasp as she broke their kiss, panting. Liking the effect he was having on her, he began adding new gentle circular movements to his ministrations, getting a cry from her as she threw her head back.
The Geeky girl's glasses fell off, landing on his chest and bouncing to the bedside. Twilight looked down trying not to squint. She was nearly blind without her glasses. "Of all the days not to wear my contacts!" Suddenly she felt a cupped hand sliding the missing item back in place. As her vision returned she saw her boyfriend, now lover, gazing at her.
"Have I ever told you your incredibly hot with you glasses on?" He said, reaching to gently clutch her breast.
"Once or hmmmmf twice! She squeaked. "Do that that again! It felt incredible!"
Hardcover used his hand to gently grope and massage each of her small but soft breasts, occasionally caressing her teats with the brush of a thumb, sometimes circling around it. Through loud muffled coos Twilight leaned down and kissed his nose, cheeks and forehead. This was a moment both were sure they never wanted to end. They were each in bliss, basking in the heartfelt emotion radiating off each other.
Looking back down at him she went back to work on his neck, even lightly biting it in experimentation. Enjoying the sensation, Hardcover brought his left hand to her right ass cheek, giving a squeeze, getting her to gasp again. Twilight was getting close and she could tell he was too. Leaning on her left elbow she leaned in and kissed him briefly separating with a light smack of the lips. She closed her eyes as she cried out again, feeling him rub her clit with his thumb as his fingers worked in and out of her.
"Twi-light look at me. I want to see your eyes when you cum!"
She did so as she felt it building up in her. She was almost there.
"I'm-gonna!"
Twilight let out a small scream of pleasure as she had her first non self induced orgasm on his hand spirting cum down his fingers and past his hand onto the bed sheets. She started loosing more and more control of her body and legs as she continued to squirt substantial spirts of cum. As she did so her final stroke made Hardcover cum as well with enough force to spray her lower chest and stomach above him with his love.
Twilight fell on him catching her breath. It was a certainty neither of them had ever cum as hard as that before. When her breath returned Twilight could feel his shaft had not gone down. She didn't mind at all she wasn't ready to be done either. Grabbing him she pulled Hardcover above her and grasped his member lining it up with her entrance.
Hardcover looked down at his beautiful lover. Her glasses had fallen off again and her hair, normally in a bun, was spread across the mattress with the sweat from their labors drifting down her brow. Leaning down to kiss her he grabbed her glasses sliding them back in place as he pulled back. Still catching his breath getting ready for a second round they took a moment to gaze at one another.
Hardcover saw beneath him wrapped in his embrace the only woman he could love like this. The smart, Kind and beautiful girl he met his junior year was still, there but now he also saw a more confident and emotionally strong woman there, and hopefully a life that he was more than happy to commit to.
Twilight gazed back, seeing the boy she met a little over two summers ago now an adult looking at her with hopes of more than just a relationship but a life for him, her and anyone else who would come along for the ride be them friend or possibly...family. His expression changed slightly to one of caution before he spoke.
"Twilight are you-" He swallowed. "On the pill?"
She noticeably swallowed as well.
"No...But I don't care. If it happens then...It's just a new chapter for us to me."
Hardcover swallowed. "Your really sure?"
"I want you to do it inside. Please don't make me wait, just-be gentle."
"I'd never be anything but. If you're ready for-whatever may happen I am too."
Hardcover placed his hand behind her neck as he slowly slid into her. She grimaced a little and he slowed but she pulled him back in at the same speed. It hurt but in a strangely pleasurable way. Once he had hilted all the way in her she wrapped her legs around his back with her arms. She let a few tears fall not from pain or sadness but from the love she could feel emanating from his form and his actions.
"F-f-faster p-please"
Hardcover picked up the pace slightly as Twilight pulled him further into her with her arms and legs, letting out coos and moans from the pleasure she felt. She could hear Hardcover panting slightly as he worked. Slowly he brought his hand down her side stroking her skin softly and kissing her cheek and neck occasionally between thrusts.
"Faster!" She moaned.
The pace quickened as she buried her face in his shoulder to muffle her cry's of delight. She clung on tighter as if letting go would lead to falling down Ghastly Gorge. pulling back she was barely able to keep her voice under a yell.
"Gah! F-f-uck! Harder pl-lease!"
despite being surprised at both her language and her plea, Hardcover did as he was told. Thrusting as hard as he was beginning to take a heavy toll on his stamina. Luckily Twilight could feel another orgasm building in her even stronger somehow than the last.
"How close are you?" She barely gasped out.
"You've got me so turned on I could go at any second!"
"Just a- little longer! I want us to do it together! Keep g-going and finish as deep in me as you can!"
Hardcover sped up slightly working in her harder. He had to fight not climax right then. This was his first time and hers. It had to be perfect for her. She deserved the best and only the best. Twilight's moans got louder and more frequent. Soon she was just letting out muffled screams of pleasure from behind the back of her hand. Suddenly she pulled it out and grabbed the back of his neck.
"I'm cumming!"
Hardcover made a final thrust, letting it all out inside her. Between the two of them Twilight was filled to the point it began to leak out of her onto the bed as she panted heavily her heart beating like she'd fallen off a cliff without a bungee cord. Hardcover was having the same experience. He collapsed beside her and pulled her into a hug using his last bit of energy to toss a blanket over them. Twilight curled up against him kissing his lips a few times as she caught her breath as he pulled her tight into his arms against his chest. To Twilights surprise, and admittedly corny delight, their heartbeats were nearly in sink.
"So-Is that-a yes?"
"Hmmm-mmm?" She panted out.
"Will you marry me-be my wife?"
"Of course I will, you idiot."
With that Hardcover smiled, hitting the lights and kissed her forehead. The two fell asleep in each others arms safe, loved, and together. neither was going to leave the other not now or ever.
