Rainbow Dash looked at me with sympathy as I looked at her, gulping as I was nervous. I wasn't ready! But I told her, "Yep" and left it at that. "You know, when I first tried to fly, I was a little scared too. I think you'll do alright. I did teach Twilight to fly once she got her wings. You won't be any different." Rainbow had a point. If Twilight, who wasn't able to fly, can fly now I was certain that I could too! "Alright," I started, "I'll give it a go." Rainbow Dash nudged me in a way of saying that it would be okay. Her instructions were clear; run, open your wings, and shoot up. I took a deep breath. "Run, open, shoot. Run, open, shoot," I said to myself. So I ran. Then I spread my wings out and tried to shoot up. However, I felt a very sickening feeling inside of me. I must have had a scary vision and fell down. Rainbow Dash ran to me and asked, "J.J., are you alright?" I started to cry. "No," but that's all that would come out. She just kept watching me, a waterfall of tears streaming down my cheeks and face. I really thought then that life had no meaning. I felt a tight squeeze at that moment and saw Rainbow Dash hugging me. "You don't have to fly if you don't want to." And that was that. I hugged her back. In a breeze she held me and flew back to her house high in the clouds. It felt good to almost be flying. I would never get to know the experience of flying. Later that evening, we were sitting on her bed. Tank was already asleep on his little bed. A million things raced through my mind. "I'll be back," stated Rainbow. I nodded. I lay on the bed feeling down. What had I done wrong? It's not my fault I can't fly. After all, being raised in an all-unicorn family, I was never taught how to fly and was always scared of flying. I really thought that a pegasus who couldn't fly had no meaning. She came back to the bed. "Please sit up. I have something for you." I wondered what she brought me. "You have to close your eyes though," Rainbow Dash added. I did what I was told. All of a sudden, I felt something on my nose. "Boop!" "Really!?" "That's not it so keep your eyes closed." I did but I wasn't sure why she wanted me to close my eyes. Slowly, I felt a luscious warmth in my mouth. A kiss from Rainbow Dash. I quickly opened my eyes and she stood there smiling at me. "Oh my gosh, Rainbow Dash." I blushed. I felt a little nervous, shocked, and excited at the same time!  "You are very special to me J.J. I love you." I love you too Rainbow Dash." We looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds and then hugged. "We should get to bed soon. It's getting late," I told her. "Yeah, but we really don't have to go to bed now do we?" I shrugged. " Well we should soon. I don't want to stay up late playing around with you." She laughed a that and that was the only thing you could hear for miles. She had the bed ready when it was time for bed. Once we were in, she pulled the covers over the two of us. "Are you warm enough? You want another blanket?" I shook my head. Rainbow shrugged, "Suit yourself." She turned off the light but kept the night light on. I couldn't sleep. I looked over at her back and saw that she couldn't really sleep either. I decided I would ask something that she may have normally asked. "Rainbow Dash?" She turned and asked, "Yeah?" "I'm having trouble sleeping tonight so I was wondering if umm.....maybe we could cuddle?" I was surprised that I actually said that. She looked at me, first shocked, then she giggled a bit and gave me a sort of, sexy look. "Well why not?" So we tossed around and turned trying to get in a comfortable position. She wasn't really helping. She tried to tease me a bit. " Rainbow Dash, stop it. I only want cuddles." "But this is fun! C'mon I want to." "Maybe another night, but not now, please," I finally said. We finally settled with being really close to each other. We looked at each other. The clock said 10:49. " Well, somepony must be excited." I blushed and told her, "Oh Rainbow Dash! You know I'm not like that." We looked at each other for a very long time. "You are so very beautiful J.J. You're the prettiest girl I ever met." I was blushing so hard and I could tell by the look on Rainbow's face, that she liked it. I couldn't believe being in love felt so good. Even if it was a little embarrasing for me. "Goodnight J.J.," and she kissed me. I rested my nuzzle in her neck as I felt sleepy. "Goodnight Rainbow Dash." And as Luna began to raise the moon, she created happy dreams for the two of us. "Those two seem very happy together. I wonder how it will turn out." And with that, she strolled off to find her sister.
