//-------------------------------------------------------// SG-T -by Thunder-Dasher- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// P3X-469 //-------------------------------------------------------// P3X-469 Underneath Cheyenne Mountain is a top secret facility known as Stargate Command. Within this facility lies an ancient alien device known as a Stargate, a device that allows near instantaneous travel between two planets via a wormhole. A very unique group of individuals known as SG-1 (Comprised of an archeologist known as Daniel Jackson, Samantha Carter, a Lt. Col. in the United States Air Force, an alien humanoid, or Jaffa, known as Teal'c, and a lavender alicorn known as Twilight Sparkle) has used the Stargate as a means of accomplishing many great victories over the years against a threat known as the Goa'uld. Today, the members of SG-1 set out on yet another mission. As the center, inlaid ring begins to spin, SG-1 does a last minute check of their equipment, just to be absolutely sure everything's ready. After a couple brief minutes, the final coordinate is locked in and a large liquid-like pillar shoots out and suddenly retracts back into the Stargate. After the wormhole is stable, SG-1 walks forward, ready to face whatever they come across. As soon as they emerge from the second Stargate, and the wormhole closes, SG-1 find themselves in pitch darkness briefly. Before too long, a magenta light brightens up the area, revealing strange, crystalline walls in all directions. "Well, this isn't what I was expecting," Daniel said as he took in the sight. "Something about this place feels really familiar," Twilight said. "Getting some deja vu?" Daniel asked. "It feels like I'm in an infinite field of mana," Twilight explained. "That's a good thing, though... right?" Daniel asked. "It can be," Twilight said, "Let's use it to our advantage as long as we can, come on". With that, SG-1 started walking down one of the paths nearby. After a series of maze-like twists and turns, they found themselves at a set of minecart rails. Now, they had an almost guaranteed way out. Almost guaranteed... At the end, they found themselves at a rather crevice with no visible route of safe travel. The rails cut off abruptly, angled towards a hole with light coming through it. Twilight and a pink alicorn known as Cadance rode in a minecart through the crystal caves in an attempt of making it out in time to save the royal wedding that was about to go completely wrong. They eventually entered a rather large area with a light shining through a hole in the ceiling. The rails appeared to travel to the hole, but it soon become all too apparent that was not the case. "Twilight, grab a hold of me and don't you dare let go!" Cadance said as the minecart neared the end of the rails. Twilight did just that. As soon as the cart started going over the edge, Cadance kicked off and spread her wings to fly to safety. "Twilight!" Sam said worriedly as she shook Twilight, brining the alicorn out of her trance. "Huh? Wha? What's wrong?" Twilight asked. "You zoned out on us," Sam explained, "Everything alright?" "Yea, everything's fine," Twilight assured, "Just... never thought I'd see home again". "Home?" Sam asked. "I've been in this room before," Twilight explained, "These are the same caves that Princess Cadance and I used during the time of the royal wedding that was almost ruined by the changeling queen, Chrysalis". "You sure about that?" Daniel asked. "I'm positive," Twilight said, lighting up her horn. After a brief moment, a beam shot out of Twilight's horn and connected with the far end of the room, nearest the hole in the ceiling. Within seconds the beam had traveled back to the floor SG-1 was currently standing on, not long after that, a crystalline walkway had formed. "You never cease to amaze me," Daniel said. "Terraforming spell," Twilight said, "But, it's effects are temporary, so we need to move". The team wasted no time in doing just that. After a short bout of running, they made it to the end, and just in time too. As the last of SG-1 cleared the ramp, it started fading away. "Alright, so now where do we go?" Sam asked. "Follow me," Twilight said, "And try not to gawk too much". "Hold it right there!" Called a voice from behind SG-1 as they walked around a corner. The team turned to see a small group of armored unicorns heading in their direction. In the lead was a pure white stallion with purple armor with a golden trim. A purple shield with a magenta six-pointed star sat at the base of his inner neck, and atop his head was a helmet with a two-tone blue crest. Twilight recognized the stallion immediately, but decided it was best to stay put. The stallion stopped just short of SG-1 and cast a light screen over the team. After the spell was finished, the stallion couldn't believe the result. "That's... no way," The stallion said as he got closer, "Is... is that really you, Twily?" "Yes, Shining, it's really me," Twilight said. "Where in Equestria have you been?" Shining Armor asked as he pulled Twilight into a tight embrace. "Not on this planet at all," Twilight said, "But I'll explain more about that later. For now, I'd like you to meet some of my friends from another planet". "These things are friends of yours?" Shining Armor asked. "Some of the best friends I've ever had," Twilight said, pointing to each person as she introduced them. "Well, it's nice to meet you all," Shining Armor said, extending his right hoof. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well," Teal'c said, bowing his head briefly. After introductions, Shining Armor lead the team to the throne room as per Twilight's request. After approaching the doors, Shining instructed them to wait while he informed Princess Celestia of the situation. They didn't have to wait long as a decently sized group of ponies soon exited the room as court was called to a close for the day. The last pony to exit was Shining himself, who then gave SG-1 the greenlight to enter. Upon entering, the team was immediately met with a large open room, beautifully decorated with marble columns, banners and various plant life. At the far end was a throne, upon which sat a rather large white alicorn, dressed in golden regalia. The alicorn was none other than the one pony Twilight wanted to see most at the moment, Princess Celestia. Upon seeing Twilight, Celestia got up and approached swiftly. As she got close enough, Twilight found herself caught up in yet another tight embrace. "I've missed you so much, Twilight," Celestia said, trying not to cry. "I've missed you as well, Princess," Twilight said. "Where have you been?" Celestia asked, pulling away slightly. "Here, there, and everywhere in between," Twilight said, "But as I told my brother, I'll explain more about that later". "Of course," Celestia said, looking up at the rest of SG-1, "Now, who are they? Friends of yours?" Twilight then began to introduce her friends again. As she did, Celestia took more of an interest with each introduction. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you," Celestia said, "And of course, any friend of Twilight is a friend of mine. And no friend of mine need feel like they have to act official around me, so do relax a little bit". "I must say, this is quite a place you have," Sam said, "The architecture, the interior design... it's all really quite stunning". "Thank you," Celestia said. "So, Twilight, is this the all powerful monster you said enslaved you and forced you to become her apprentice?" Daniel asked, trying to sound as serious as possible. "Well, seems your time enslaved as my apprentice has taught you nothing in reality," Celestia said, "And here I thought you'd actually come to have respect for me at long last". "I swear, I would never say anything like that!" Twilight said defensively. After a few seconds, nobody could hold it in anymore, and the room filled with laughter. It took a bit, but Twilight soon caught on to the prank. "That wasn't funny, guys," Twilight said. "You're just too easy," Sam said. "Still freak out just as easily as ever," Celestia said, "I wouldn't prefer you any other way, Twilight".
