Tome of the Searching Flame

Sweetie and Leara stayed in Leara’s room for hours, until Dakota walked in and sat down next to them. He put his wing around them and pulled them closer to him. His sky blue eyes were tired and full of sadness. He nuzzled the mares, but unlike Leara he didn’t cry he held it in. They were the misfits of their worlds and they had to do this on their own.

“We’ll get through this together.” Dakota said struggling to smile. Leara and Sweetie nodded struggling to smile as well. Leara got up and started to walk toward the door. Sweetie was about to go after her, but Dakota put his hoof on Sweetie’s shoulder and shook his head.

“I’m going for a walk, I’ll be back soon.” Leara said not facing her friends. She walked out of the TARDIS and looked around. It was of course Equestria which was perfect. She wandered aimlessly until she found a forest. It was the Everfree forest that Leara had heard about through the ponies of Ponyville. She went in the forest and found a hut that was styled like the shamans of an African tribe. She knocked on the door.

“Who comes?” A voice asked.

“I am Leara Time, and I would like some advice.” Leara responded. A Zebra opened the door.

“You know of me, which means you must come in for tea.” The Zebra said. Leara smiled.

“Hello Zecora, we’ve never met but I’ve heard of you.” Leara explained. Zecora nodded.

“Leara Time, born from a tube has come to rid us of this terrible feud.” Zecora said. Leara went in the hut and sat down. Zecora got the tea and gave it to Leara.

“Now tell me what ails you, so I can help you.” Zecora said. Leara sighed.

“I want to help, but no one is willing to give me the support I need.” Leara explained.

“Those who need saving, the savior sometimes must be giving.” Zecora said.

“But I have been giving! I’m willing to give body and soul for these ponies.” Leara said.

“Give me your tea and let me see.” Zecora said. Leara gave Zecora the tea and Zecora gazed into it.

“You cannot do this without another. Find the fire, the son of the highest pillar. The phoenix’s fire is the one you desire.” Zecora said. Leara thought for a moment, and then she realized who she needed. She needed the son of Celestia and she knew the person who could help her find him, Ryan Cash!

“But be wary for you judgement may vary. You will see blood of those you love, be careful of those you trust. For their lust may make you get rid of those you need.” Zecora warned. She nodded and hugged Zecora.

“Thank you Zecora you really helped.” Leara said. Zecora hugged back.

“Be careful now for what you face may change your fate.” Zecora warned. Leara left Zecora’s hut and headed back to the TARDIS.
