//-------------------------------------------------------// Magic Miracle -by Kpopjunkie- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Brilliant Light //-------------------------------------------------------// Brilliant Light       Twilight Sparkle moaned in pain as she felt another contraction. Even though she's been worried about how much pain and work involved in the birth process, she was even more worried about what her child will look like since it was conceived by magic. It felt like forever since she had found out. For months, she would feel its kicks and dancing and something else. Almost like it was writing? Who knows. All she knew was that today was the day she will meet her little partner. Contractions were now about five minutes apart. It was almost time, Twilight couldn't wait any longer. Shining Armor, her brother, is by her side to support her through this emotional and painful process. Twilight was squeezing his hand as she cried in pain.      “There, there. You're doing good, Twily.” Shining Armor said softly, rubbing his sister’s head.    Twilight loosened her grip and opened her eyes as the contractions finally stopped.  “I wish...I could do...better.” She said between breaths.      The new midwife entered the room. The current midwife Twilight had got stuck in another complication with someone else. So she had to get a different midwife. “Alright, it seems you’re almost ready. Now take deep breaths, and DON’T SCREAM SO LOUD.” She said.      Twilight found her voice a bit familiar. She couldn’t recognize her because there was a mask covering her lower face, but she did recognize her behavior. “Sour Sweet?” Twilight asked. Sour Sweet gasped, realizing who her patient was. “Twilight Sparkle!” She exclaimed. She then looked down and muttered “Traitor!” then looked back at Twilight happily, “How are you!”     “Oh my! It’s been forever!” Twilight exclaimed. “I hadn’t seen you since--” She has been off by a contraction. She shut her eyes and gritted her teeth, moaning in pain.      “Breathe.” Sour Sweet said sweetly, placing her hand gently on Twilight’s shoulder, before tightening her grip and violently shaking her. “And don't scream!”      “Hey! This is no way to treat a woman in labor!” Shining Armor exclaimed.      Twilight tried to relax, ignoring Sour Sweet’s yelling. She glared at Sour Sweet, remembering how she treated her at the Friendship Games a long time ago. How did they even let this bipolar mess become a midwife?      “That’s right, take deep slow breaths.” Sour Sweet said. She then started to whisper. “Please make this faster so we could be done.”      Twilight began to hate the fact Sour Sweet was her midwife. All these years and it seems like nothing changed at all. As soon as the pain started to fade, Twilight began to relax. She turned to her brother with a distraught look on her face.      “Do I seriously have to deal with her at a time like this?” Shining pulled his sister in for a hug and patted her back. “Don't worry about her, worry about your baby and getting him or her out into the world.” Twilight smiled. “Ya know...I wish I got to find out the gender and not make it a surprise. I don't even have a name.” “You’ll come up with a good name when you meet him or her,” Shining said. “Thank you for being here with me, big brother,” Twilight said starting to tear up. Suddenly, she felt another contraction. This one was more painful than the others she experienced before. She started to scream in pain. Tears started to well in her eyes. She was breathing deep and quickly, squeezing Shining Armor’s hand. He scrunched a bit at his sister’s grip, but what hurt him even more was seeing Twilight like this. “It's okay…” Shining Armor said. “You can make it through this.” “AAAAH!” Twilight screamed, which grabbed the attention Sour Sweet. “S-SOMETHING’S HAPPENING!” She started to breathe uncontrollably. There were a harder contraction and a sharp pain forming between her legs. Sour Sweet walked up to Twilight and started to pat her sweaty bangs. “There, there. You’re doing fine.” Sour Sweet kindly said. Then she started slapping Twilight’s forehead. “What did I say about screaming?” She said not so kindly. “I-I’m trying…” Twilight said. “But...i-it hurts so much...and p-please...s-stop slapping m-me.” Sour Sweet didn’t stop. Twilight began to scream again as the pain got worse. “Don't treat her like that!” Shining Armor exclaimed. “Can't you see she's in pain?” “Oh yes, I do see that.” Sour Sweet said kindly. “It's the miracle of life bozo.” She then said rudely. Shining Armor was about to go ballistic. “Could you, at least, show her some support? Speak to her kindly, encourage her, take care of her? This is your job, what you dedicate your life to! She’s going through  a lot right now and you need to cut the crap and HELP HER!” Sour Sweet shook her head and slowly left the room. Shining looked down at Twilight and rubbed her cheek.      “It's going to be fine. Just stay strong.” He said softly. Twilight shook her head with tears flooding her face. A gynecologist came rushing into the room with Sour Sweet following close behind. “Alrighty!” He called cheerfully while sanitizing his hands and putting latex gloves on. He got into his exam chair and rolled to the end of the bed Twilight was lying in. “Let’s take a look shall we?” Sour Sweet helped Twilight get into position. The gynecologist lifted the blanket to expose Twilight’s legs and started to check her. “HOLY CRAP!” He yelled. Sour Sweet’s jaw dropped and eyes widened. “What's wrong with her?” Shining asked. Twilight started to get scared. “W-what’s happening….i-is something w-wrong?” she asked concerned. “I’ve never seen anything like this…” The gynecologist said quietly. Sour Sweet was speechless. “L-like what?!” Twilight asked loudly. “What’s wrong! What’s happening?!” “Alright, Twilight...the baby is coming, and I mean it is coming.” The gynecologist said. “Just start pushing on the count of three.” Twilight shook her head and got ready as the gynecologist began to count. ”This is it…” She thought. “One...two...three…” Twilight inhaled and started pushing. She loudly moaned in pain, squeezing her brother's hand as hard as she could. It was, of course, bearable to him. She calmed down when she was breathless and started hyperventilating. “You’re doing good, keep going.” The gynecologist said, still examining what was coming out of her. He didn’t want to say anything else to worry the mother-to-be. Sour Sweet, however, was ready to blurt out the truth. “Twilight! I think you are giving birth to a--” She has been off by the gynecologist who stomped on her foot. She yelped.     “A-a what???” Twilight’s voice trembled with fear and concern. Shining Armor was speechless. “It's nothing, Twilight. Don't worry.” the gynecologist said, trying to drop the subject. “One...Two...Three…” Twilight inhaled and started to push again. Her moans turned into slight screams of pain. Tears began to roll down her face. She stopped pushing to catch her breath. After another inhale, she began pushing again. When she was out of breath, she laid back, ready to give up. “Almost there! Keep going!” the gynecologist encouraged. “Ready?” Twilight shook her head and nodded. Even though it was painful, she will meet her baby very soon.             The  gynecologist began to count. “One...two...three…”           Twilight let out a loud scream when she resumed pushing. The scream was so loud, it pierced Shining Armor’s eardrums. He rubbed her shoulders with his free hand. All he could do was stand there, encourage his sister, and watch.        “Hang in there! I'm here and everything with be all right! You can do this!” Shining Armor encouraged.         “Come on, Twilight! You’re doing a great job!” the gynecologist encouraged. “Sour Sweet, can you bring some towels?” Sour Sweet nodded, walked to the cabinets, and took out a few towels. She returned and spread them on the gynecologist’s hands. After a few more pushes, the head was out.       Twilight laid back to calm herself. As she was hyperventilating, she started to grow a tension headache.  “When will this finally end?” she moaned.      “Hang in there!” the gynecologist said. “Trust yourself, you’re gonna be a great mother!”      “You can do it.” Shining Armor said.     Twilight began to feel inspired. She couldn’t wait to meet her baby. Imagine her years of caring and loving him or her. She took a deep breath and started pushing again.      “It’s coming! You’re almost done!” the gynecologist exclaimed.      After many painful pushes, the baby finally came out.     “It’s a boy!” the gynecologist exclaimed. “And…” He examined the baby carefully, then motioned for Sour Sweet to come over and whispered something into her ear.      “AND WHAT?” Twilight asked as she was hyperventilating. She was so anxious and concerned that she was now furious.      “And he is perfectly healthy! You did well, Twilight. Everything is okay, don’t worry ‘bout a thing,” the gynecologist said soothingly.      He cut the umbilical cord and handed the crying newborn to Sour Sweet, who tried her best not to make a face. She took him to the sink to clean him.      “You did it, Twily!” Shining Armor said softly. “You brought a little miracle into this world!”      “A magical miracle,” Twilight said softly. Her voice was hoarse and tired. “I just hope everything is alright. Did you see the looks on their faces? It was like I was delivering an alien.”      “It's fine. I know it is.” Shining Armor said. Twilight smiled softly as the gynecologist started to continue his work with her.      At the sink, Sour Sweet examined the baby a bit and cringed at what she saw. The baby looked exactly like Twilight. He had the same skin and hair color. She didn’t know about eyes since they were still closed. But there were also some ‘added features’. He had a horn, wings, was wearing glasses, and was holding on to a little book that also looked like Twilight. Was it made of her skin? She didn’t want to think about it…      The baby was screeching louder than before as Sour Sweet removed the soggy book from his grip. It wasn’t a part of his body or anything, it was a normal book with Twilight’s colors. The pages were her skin color and the cover was her hair color.      Sour Sweet placed the book to the side and started washing the screaming newborn, being gentle with his wings. There were actual feathers. Sour Sweet tried not to faint. Once she got to his face, she felt his glasses. Real glasses, with real lenses. Sour Sweet’s fingers shook. She couldn’t wait to see Twilight’s reaction when she sees the ‘mutant’ she had given birth to. Once she finished washing him, she hesitantly placed a diaper on him and swaddled him in a blanket. He kept crying, so she thought to give the ‘book’ back would calm him down. She placed the soggy book in his chubby little hands and cringed even more on the inside. His crying died down, and she picked him up. That was when she decided to revise her career choices. She thought bringing life into this world would be a beautiful thing until she saw Twilight’s son.   She walked over to Twilight, who was exhausted. She had never been so tired in her life. She wanted to sleep, but the excitement and eagerness to see her son kept her awake. A bright smile grew on her face when she saw Sour Sweet walking towards her with her newborn.      “M-my son!” Twilight said with excitement in her raspy voice. She then noticed the look on Sour Sweet’s face and grew concerned. “Is there something wrong with him?” She asked.      Sour Sweet quietly moved the ‘baby’ over to his mother’s open arms, but Twilight took one look and put her arms down. She began to panic.      “W-WHAT IS THAT ON HIS HEAD?!?!?!” Twilight screamed. “I-is he wearing glasses? Did you put those on him? Why do I see feathers…and what is that he’s holding?”     “Oh wow….I….what the….is he….” Shining Armor stammered.      “It’s okay sweetie, he’s still perfectly healthy.” Sour Sweet said. “Besides, how would we know? You were the one that gave birth to him.”      Twilight felt her world ending. She turned back to Shining Armor, who was staring at his magical nephew with a look of utter shock. She took a few moments to look at the baby and remember that he was her son, and she was his mother. She forced a smile and reached out to hold him in her hands. Then suddenly, his eyes opened.     “Gweetings, my deaw modduh.” The baby spoke.      The...baby...spoke…     The whole room was silent. Twilight, Shining Armor, and Sour Sweet stared at the newborn boy with shocked looks on their faces. The gynecologist was just finished cleaning Twilight when he heard the voice. He thought it was coming from the other room or something, so he continued.     “Di-di-did that baby….j-ju-just...s-say something?!” Sour Sweet stammered.     “He what?” The gynecologist asked.     Twilight was speechless. She stared at him for a while, not believing what she just heard. Then she started to speak to him.     “H-hello…,” She said softly. “W-welcome t-to the w-world.”      “I'm honowed.” The baby said. He talked a bit weird because he didn’t have any teeth.     Shining Armor’s jaw dropped. Twilight shivered. He really did speak. The gynecologist couldn't believe what he was hearing.      “Who is this baby’s father?” The gynecologist asked. It seemed he had never seen a baby born with only his mother’s traits and added features that throw logic right out the window.     “Oh...he was conceived by magic,” Twilight replied.      “M-magic!” Sour Sweet exclaimed. “You’re still up with that mess?”      The gynecologist didn't know what to say. He didn't see anything like this before. Magic? Was this baby conceived by magic? How what that even possible? He thought of taking the newborn to a lab to be examined, but that would break the new mother’s heart. It was best to let things be.     “I think I'll name you…” Twilight began and thought for a moment. “Brilliant Light.” Twilight smiled.     “Yay! I’m Bwiwiant Wight!” He said exultingly.    Twilight smiled. She gave him a kiss and cradled him a bit. Not matter what he looked like, what strange features he had, or what he was able to do at such an extremely early age, Twilight’s feelings for Brilliant Light didn't change. “I’ll try my best...to be the best mother a child could dream for.”     Brilliant Light laughed and playfully reached his right hand up to take hold of Twilight’s hair. She giggled and gently placed a finger on his nose, he squeaked happily at the contact. Shining Armor smiled at the sight. Twilight placed her hand on Brilliant Light’s shoulder, and Shining Armor placed his sore hand on Twilight’s hand.      “Hey, little guy,” He said softly.      “Heyyy.” Brilliant Light squealed.      Twilight looked up at her brother. “He's so wonderful!” She said.      Shining Armor looked at her with a smile. “We all know magic can do amazing things,” He said.     Sour Sweet and the gynecologist looked at each other with slightly confused looks on their faces. They seemed to have been distracted by the features of the baby for too long. Sour Sweet cleared her throat and broke the awkward silence.    “Well...Brilliant Light here needs a check up and stuff and so do you. So I need to take him to the nursery.” Sour Sweet said.    “Awwww, right now?” Twilight whined.    “Bring him here Twilight.” Sour Sweet kindly said. “I don't have all day..” She grunted.    Twilight hesitantly handed she baby to Sour Sweet. She watched her leave with Brilliant Light, feeling a mixture of sadness and worry.    “Bye bye modduuuh...” He said sadly as Sour Sweet carried him away.       Later that night, Twilight got out of the shower in her room of the maternity ward. She had convinced her brother to go home and get some rest and she would be fine on her own. It took a while, but he finally did so. Now, Twilight was alone, sore and exhausted. She really wanted to sleep but worried about her son and what might be happening to him. He was a strange baby. What if they took him to some sort of lab and she was never going to see him again? What if they plan on surgically removing the ‘extra features’? All these thoughts made Twilight so worried. She was sick to her stomach and missed the comfort of her friends. She looked out the giant window, the city lights shimmered like bright glitter. The nurse that was waiting for Twilight to finish washing up helped her to bed. She gave Twilight a little check up to make sure she was alright, then pulled the blankets over her and left. Twilight was now alone in the quiet room, feeling excited and worried about her son and their new future.      “Oh, Brilliant Light,” Twilight whispered. “I wish to see you again.” Tears started to form in her eyes. She didn’t know where her child was or when she will see him again. She closed her eyes as the tears began to fall, waiting for sleep to overcome her.    The sky was still dark and the sun was coming up when Twilight woke up to the sound of crying. She quickly sat up and turned to the source of the crying. It was Brilliant Light. She quickly got up and limped over to the bassinet he was lying in with his little book in his hands.    “There there, I got you,” Twilight said to Brilliant Light as she gently lifted him up. He calmed down at the sound of his mother’s voice. She cradled him in her arms and sat on the bed. “Everything alright? Are you hungry?” She asked.      “Yeth”. Brilliant Light responded.     “Okay then.” Twilight laid back in the bed. “I learned how to do this a while ago.” She held him up to her chest and he started drinking. Twilight cringed in pain for a moment. As it faded, she relaxed, happy her son is finally with her. She looked out the window, the sun was coming up. She was able to relax a little more, knowing her son was alright. She looked down at the book in his grip. It looked exactly like her. Was it made out of...her? She had to know.    “Brilliant Light, where did you get that book?” Twilight asked.    He continued drinking and pointed a chubby finger at her.    “Me?” Twilight asked, confused.    He shook his head. Twilight felt her insides sink. What did he mean? Me? Was this book actually made  of me? What could be inside it? She grew more concerned.    “Can I see it?” Twilight asked, not knowing if she really wanted to know.     Brilliant Light shook his head once more and moved the book over so it could meet his mother’s reach. She hesitantly took the post-it sized ‘book’ with her free hand and felt it. The cover was her hair color and it felt like a regular paperback book. She opened the book to pages that were her skin color with tiny writing on them. The handwriting was identical to hers. Twilight felt her insides shiver. A chill ran down her spine when she read the words on the first page, the names of all of her friends, including Spike. Their likes and dislikes, their ages, their interests, what they wanted, all of it were written down like detailed class notes. The next few pages were filled with every memory Twilight had while pregnant, including all of her cravings, things she smelled, and even all of her feelings (which were a lot because she went through a lot of mood swings). Even some of the dreams she had were written down on the book’s pages. She had no idea how all of this fit in such a tiny book, but that was the least of her worries right now.    Twilight looked down at Brilliant Light, back up at the book, and back down at Brilliant Light. “D-did you write all of this? While in my womb?” She questioned. Brilliant Light shook his head. Twilight gave it back to him and tried to comprehend what she just learned. “You wrote this book… before you were born… the book is  made out of me....” She didn’t know what to say after that. She quietly sat there as she nursed him. When he was finished, she sat him up and burped him. Twilight sat there, cradling her now sleeping magical child. //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie Pie Visits //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie Pie Visits      Brilliant Light woke up in the arms of Twilight Sparkle, his mother. She was on her cell phone, typing something. Twilight heard her son whimper as he stretched and yawned.       “Good morning Brilliant Light,” Twilight said softly and planted a kiss on his forehead.     A huge smile grew on his face. “Mommyyyyyy.” Brilliant Light squealed.  It's 9:30 AM. It has only been two hours since he had fallen asleep.      Twilight smiled. “Guess what. A friend of mine wants to visit me. I was just talking to her. She should be coming soon.”      “Who?” Brilliant Light asked.      “Her name is Pinkie Pie.”      “ Peenkie pieeee!” Brilliant Light squeaked happily. Pinkie Pie slapped her visitor’s pass on her shirt and skipped to a maternity ward. She impatiently looked for room 107A. In the middle of her search, she paused at a window that had a full view of a room full of newborn babies.      “AWWW! Look at da wittle babies!” She cooed. “Dey wook so cyoot with der wittle chubby faces. Oh, I wonder which one is Twilight’s. Is it that one? Or that one? Or could it be that one? Or thaaaaat one?”     She pointed at almost all the babies. Not like she was able to tell since Twilight wouldn't send a picture. For some reason, she wanted to see her friend’s reactions.       “Oh, he must be with Twilight!”  Pinkie Pie said as she turned to continue looking for Twilight’s room. “104A, 105A, 106A, AH, 107A!” Pinkie opened the door, not having a courtesy yo knock. “ TWIIIIIIIILIIIIIIIGHT!” She sang.      Twilight was startled by the sudden intruder “Pinkie Pie!”      “I'm here! I'm here! I'M HERE!” Pinkie Pie shouted. She locked her gaze upon the tiny baby boy, swaddled and being held in Twilight’s arms. “IS THAT HIM?!”     “Ssh, quiet down Pinke….I know you are excited but there are babies and mothers trying to sleep.”    “Oh sooooory….” Pinkie whispered. She walked closer to get a good look at Twilight’s son.      “Pinkie Pie, meet Brilliant Light.” Twilight shifted her arms a bit so Pinkie could get a better look at his face. Pinkie’s eyes widened and she gasped. He looked so cute.      “Hi, Peenkie Pieee.” Brilliant Light said with a smile.     Pinkie Pie gasped even louder. “THE BABY CAN TALK?!” She shouted, then quickly covered her mouth with her hands.    “Yes, I think it's because--” Twilight was cut off.      “Can I hold him pleeeeaaase?” Pinkie Pie asked, shaking with excitement.     “Um, of course.” Twilight said.     Pinkie reached her arms out. As Twilight lifted her son, Pinkie placed one hand under his neck and another on his bottom. She seemed to be an expert at holding newborns. When Brilliant was successfully placed in Pinkie’s arms, she sat on a cushioned chair next to the bed Twilight was in.      “Hello, Brilliant Light.” Pinkie Pie squealed.     “Hiii!” Brilliant Light squealed happily.    Pinkie Pie looked to Twilight. “Congratulations Twilight! He’s so precious. I wonder what everyone else would think of your talking baby!”      “I hope they take it as easily as you did.” Twilight said. Pinkie laughed. She stayed there for a while cradling Brilliant Light. She soon noticed Twilight was fast asleep.     “Aww why does Twilight have to be so tired now?” Pinkie asked herself.    “Mudduh ith sweepy….mudduh is sweepy.” Brilliant Light said. Poor Twilight.” Pinkie Pie thought. She must had been through a lot last night. Well, I'll just help her. I'll entertain Brilliant Light here while she gets the rest she needs. Pinkie Pie looked down at Brilliant. “Wanna see a funny face?” She asked.      “Yayyyy!” Brilliant Light squeaked.      Pinkie Pie stood up and laid Brilliant Light in the bassinet. She started at make silly faces that each made Brilliant Light laugh in delight.  Pinkie Pie then pulled a small toy out of her hair and hovered it over him. She unwrapped him so his arms could be free. Pinkie Pie and Brilliant Light were having a good time when there was suddenly a knock on the door. Two tall men walked in wearing black suits.      “We are looking for Brilliant Light, son of Twilight Sparkle.” One asked.     Pinkie Pie started. “What's it to ya?”     “This child has abilities of rapid growing intelligence that could be a danger to society. With every legal right, we have the right to take this child to a remote facility.” One of the men said.    “You can't do that!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed, wrapping Brilliant Light back up and taking hold of him. She stepped back away from the men.    “We have the right!” The other man said.    Pinkie Pie began to panic. She stepped further towards the bed and began shaking Twilight to wake her. “ TWILIGHT! TWO MEN ARE TRYING TO TAKE YOUR CHILD!” She screamed.    “Calm down ma’am, and let this be done the easy way. Please hand the child over.” One of the men said.      Twilight's eyes slowly began to open. “Uhhh….p-pinkie pie….what's going on?” She asked.     “Twilight! Two men! They want to take him away from you! They want to take Brilliant Light!” Pinkie Pie said in a voice filled with panic.      Twilight’s eyes shot open and she quickly sat up. She caught sight of the two men in her room. “W-What are you…”      “We have rights to take children that are a danger to society.” One of the men said.      “N-no…” Twilight felt her body shake intensively. “No, please don't! Please don't take him!”     “We are sorry to break a brand new family, but it's our mission. Maybe it's best for you, the child, and society.” Both men began to walk towards Twilight. Twilight wrapped her arms around Pinkie Pie, blocking all contact from her son.    “Mommy…” Brilliant Light whined. “Wahs hapaneen?”    “No! DON’T COME NEAR HIM! STAY AWAY AND LEAVE HIM ALONE! GO AWAY! GO AWAY PLEASE!” Twilight cried as tears quickly streamed down her face. The men kept walking closer. “NO! DON’T TAKE HIM! DON’T TAKE HIM!”     Twilight’s eyes quickly opened as she gasped. She started breathing uncontrollably staring at the ceiling.     “Twilight?....” A voice called.      Twilight turned her head and saw Pinkie Pie sitting on the chair with Brilliant Light in her arms. He was fast asleep.     “Twilight, are you okay?” Pinkie Pie asked.     “Oh, Brilliant Light…” Twilight said. She started tearing up. “I'm so glad….you’re okay….” Twilight sat up and wiped her tears. She held out are arms signaling Pinkie Pie to bring her son over.     “Oh.” Pinkie Pie got up and handed Brilliant Light to his mother. Twilight held her sleeping baby in her arms as more tears streamed down her face.    “Isn't he just the most precious--,” Pinkie Pie noticed Twilight crying. “Why are you crying?” She asked.    Twilight turned to Pinkie Pie. “It's fine.” She said. “It's just that, I'm so worried and...and...” Twilight placed her fingers under her glasses and wiped her tears.    “Awwww, what are you worried about?” Pinkie Pie asked as she sat on the bed.    “Well….” Twilight began. “I saw the look on their faces when Brilliant Light was born. He is not really a normal baby…people will find his physical and mental features so strange. I'm worried what he will go through in his life.”      “Oh, Twilight.” Pinkie Pie began. “ Brilliant’s features is what makes him so unique!” She exclaimed in a cheery voice.     “Very unique but…” Twilight paused.      “Twilight…” Pinkie Pie said as she placed a hand on Twilight's shoulder. “No matter what people think, Brilliant Light going to be the BEST part of your life!” The smile on Pinkie Pie’s face grew wider.      Twilight looked back down at Brilliant Light with a calming smile. She snuggled him even more as she planted a kiss on his forehead. “The best part of my life…” She whispered.
