A Human, a Changeling and a Bat Pony
You know, I thought I was going to have a relatively normal day today. That didn't happen. To understand the situation I'm in now I need to start from the beginning, and by that I mean the beginning of the day that got Cole, Jaden and I into this whole mess.
It was the last day of fight week in the town of Pampa, Texas. Now you may ask "What is fight week?" Well fight week is a bit of a tradition us high schoolers have in this town where we settle old scores, debts, rematches and revenge. It only happens about three times a year so of course people are going to go wild beating the shit out of each other, in fact there's been about thirty fights this whole week and with one day left it was my turn to fight.
The guy I was fighting that night was a stuck up, self entitled asshole named Braeden Oxley. You know the "I'm better than you because I'm rich and you're poorkind of asshole. Now my family is VERY far from rich but we're not dirt poor either, we're kind of middle class but that didn't stop him no sir. He constantly mocked my families living conditions, my intelligence, my house and my lifestyle as a whole which enough to piss me off to begin with but that's not the reason I fought him. No the reason I fought him is because him and area of his buddies caused my sister to leave school crying from their insults, when I heard of this I planned to pound his worthless skull in.
That was two days before I fought him. I challenged him to a fight the next day and he cockily accepted. I honestly still can't believe that he thought that he'd win. This guy couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag with a knife and it didn't help his situation any more by the fact that I'm a really scrappy teen and when I fight I intend to win.
We gathered in the front yard of my house since my parents wouldn't be back until next week and my sister was staying the night at a friends house leaving me alone there to do as I please. It was around 10:00 PM when the fight actually started because of how long he took to get there. We stood in silence waiting planning out our moves waiting for the fight to start. All of a sudden a skinny Mexican guy shouted "FIGHT!" and the fight began.
He ran toward me throwing a very sloppy haymaker at me which I quickly dodged and punched him directly in the stomach knocking the wind out of him. While he was trying to catch his breath I grabbed the back of his head ramming his nose into my knee. A series of "oohs" and "oh shit's" echoed across the bystanders as they heard the sickening crunch his nose made on contact. When he stumbled backward afterwards he left his face open using his arms to try and maintain balance. Seeing my opening I punched his now broken nose furthering the damage on his blood covered face and watched as he cried out in pain gripping his nose with his hands and falling to the ground. I raised my arms and stood in a victorious stance and decided to make a reference, I yelled "Are you not entertained!" Gaining a few laughs along with cheers among the crowd. Now comes the second thing I did while my parents were away. I threw a party.
The details of the party are pretty hazy but what I do remember is that I had a drinking contest with Cole and Jaden who were staying the night after the party anyway that ended in us all passing out in various parts of my living room. Oh, and the storm with purple lightning that was really weird.
Little did I know though was that after the party cleared out leaving only Cole, Jaden and I something happened in the storm that caused the house and all of us to disappear from its normal spot only to reappear in a land I believed to be fictional.
