Stuck In-Between Destiny, Dreams & Desire
"What's wrong with me?!" Yelled Rainbow Dash as she laid on her bed with her EXTREMELY slow, buy EXTREMELY adorable pet; Tank. She had been laying on her bed for almost an hour now. Why? Well, because it had been an whole day since she had been framed for sending Spitfire, Captain of the Wonderbolts, to the Crystal Mountains to receive the Is Iris, the only cure for Pegasitis. It had turned out that the "Living Legend" Wind Rider had framed her because he didn't want her to beat his long distance record. One whole day since she had blushed for the second time in her life. The first being when she save a filly who fell down a well.
"I can't believe that I , the one and only Rainbow-Danger-Awesome-Dash, BLUSHED! Also, in front of the WONDERBOLTS!" It may not have seemed like a big deal, but to Rainbow it was a massive deal! She never- And I repeat NEVER blushed. Even when Thunderlane asked her out!
And lets be truthful, he IS a god looking stallion, even to Rarity. So he was definitely SOMETHING!
''And why did I even blush!" She yelled in frustration. "I mean it COULD HAVE been the fact I was embarrassed, but I have been embarrassed LOADS of times, maybe 'cause I was in front of the 'Bolts? But I've been embarrassed in front of them loads of times! Like that time when I totally FAILED the young fliers competition! What do you think Tank?"
Not really expecting an answer the rolled over onto her belly and slammed her head into her pillow.
"Arrrggggg!" She she grunted. "Why can't I remember?"
Her head was puzzled, exhausted & tired.
"ARGH! I'll think tomorrow, but right now i'm getting some shut-eye!" Dash pulled the covers over her as Tank crawled onto her back, trying to be as quick as he could to get next to her right hoof. But it didn't work, he was buried underneath the covers. Slowly but steadily he made his was over to her and went to sleep.
Dash Woke up the next day with a pain in her right wing. As she looked over to her side she noticed that Tank was still asleep and on her wing.
"Argh... The best things in life always hurt ya..." She said to herself as she quietly lifted Tank off of her wing and onto the bed. She walked over to her mirror opposite to her bed.
"Oh Celestia, why do you wake me up so early." She said to herself, again. She looked up at her mane, realising it looked messier then before she opened her drawer and tried to pick up the brush, that Rarity had got her for her birthday (she said that she ' NEEDED ' it) with her right wing, it didn't work. Her wing had a pins and needles pain. "Well, GREAT!" She said. "Looks like im gonna have to to this with my left wing."
This was going to be hard for dash as she was right-winged AND right-hoofed. "This is not gonna turn out well..."
After trying for half an hour to brush her mane she gave up. Dash shoved the brush back into the drawer, because she shoved it in with so much force it shook the drawer, causing quite a bunch of things to fall of. They were:
-A letter from her old pen-pale, Midnight Skies, who she wrote letters to for almost for 2 years but then lost contact with as Midnights career as a 'Snowflake Make' got in the way.
-An old copy, from Twilights old library, of 'Daring Do and the quest for the Sapphire Statue, or was it Stone? Rainbow disn't know anymore as the last word had been smudged .
-Last but not least, two pictures. One of Her and (half) sister, Scooterloo at the last sister hooves social. Its was a special moment as they had one as hal- No. Not as half sisters, but as FULL sister. As Scooterloo said "If we win, Dash, that means that we are sisters for LIFE!". The second picture was one of her and a certain Wonderbolt dancing together at Princess Cadence and Shinning Armours wedding, almost a year ago that had been took but the pony that took it was never discovered.
Just looking at the picture made dash smile. Soarin. Soarin Skies, the co-captain of the Wonderbolts, asked HER to dance with HIM!
Thoughts of the night kept coming back to her, the way he looked at her in the eyes, the way he talked to her made a chill go down her spine, the way he-
CRASH!
"Muffin Mail!" Shouted a voice coming through the wall.
"Oh crap!" Dash cursed to herself. "Please tell me Derpy has broke another window! If she has I think she might have broke my record."
Rainbow walked out of her bedroom and down into the hall and down the stairs untill she reached the door. She opened the door an-
"Muffin Mail!" Derpy shouted once again as she gave it to dash. "Bye Rainbow Dashie! OH! AND YOU MANE LOOKS WEIRD!" 
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT!" Dashi- I mean, Dash shouted back. "Also, thanks for the letter... Not so much for the 'Compliment'. " She whispered. She walked back into the living room and sat down on on her cloud sofa.
"Ahhh..." She sighed. "What do I have here?"
The letter had a lightning bolt with wings on the sides of it. On the back, in printed cursive, bold letters that said:

Equestria, Ponyville

Dash looked at the letter and eyed it untill she saw who it was from.
"THE WONDERBOLTS!" Rainbow shouted. "I wonder what it says!" Dash said as she ripped it open with her teeth. B
