Pokemon: Twilight Version
“Welcome to the world of Pokemon! My name is Professor Celestia, of the Equestria Region.” Professor Celestia threw a pokeball. Out of it came a Fletchinder. “We share this world with creatures known as Pokemon. Trust that wherever you go, whether it be land, sky, or sea, you can find Pokemon there. Together, we life in peace and harmony. Now, my student, it is time for your adventures to begin!”
Twilight got out of bed. She hadn’t slept very well, considering that she so excited. Why was she excited? Well, today was the day she’d be able to get her very first Pokemon.
She put on her glasses and looked over at her clock. 7:50. She had about 10 minutes to get ready. She didn’t waste a second. By the time it was 7:55 she had already gotten dressed, and was on her way downstairs.
“Good morning, Twilight,” said her mother, “You ready to get your first Pokemon?”
“Yeah, I am. It’s a big choice. Got to pick carefully.”
“Good morning, Twilight,” said my (adopted) little brother, Spike. Spike wants more than anyone to become a Pokemon Trainer, but he’s still too young.
“Yes, I know, Mom. You’ve already told me that. I should probably get going to Professor Celestia’s lab.”
“Alright, see you later. Love you.”
“I love you too. See ya, Spike.” With that, Twilight left the house.
Twilight strolled through the streets of Canterlot until she found the Professor’s lab. It wasn’t anything spectacular, but to Twilight, it was like heaven. Twilight goal was to become a Pokemon researcher herself. She would complete the Pokedex and become the best researcher the world had ever seen. but in order to do so, Twilight would need to get her first Pokemon. And so, Twilight went in side.
Inside there were many machines doing many different things.
“Ah, Twilight,” said Professor Celestia, “I’m glad you’re here.”
“Well, why wouldn't I be here?”
“Good point. Now, if you would please come with me.”
Twilight followed Celestia into the next room where two other girls were waiting.
The first girl had white hair and she was wearing a dark blue zip-hoodie, a purple skirt with a magic wand on it, and a purple wizard’s hat and cape.
The other girl had fiery, red hair and she was wearing a leather jacket over a purple tee-shirt with an orange and red sun on it. She also had on an orange skirt and really tall boots.
“Twilight, I’d like to introduce to you Trixie Lulamoon and Sunset Shimmer,” said Professor Celestia.
“Um, hi. I’m Twilight.”
“Nice to meet you. I am the Great and Powerful Trixie!” said the first girl.
“Oh, get over yourself, Trixie. Hi, I’m Sunset.”
“Nice to meet you both. So, I’m guessing you're both here to get your first Pokemon as well?”
“That would be correct. Someday, I hope to be the Champion of the region. An unstoppable force which no one will be able to defeat.”
“And you, Trixie?”
“Trixie hopes to someday be the world’s best Pokemon Coordinator,” Trixie said in the third person.
“Okay, girls, it’s time to pick your Pokemon,” said Professor Celestia, walking out to a table with three Pokeballs on it, “Twilight, you first.”
Twilight walked over to the table. In front of each Pokeball there was a name plate. They read, “Bulbasaur”, “Charmander”, and “Squirtle”. Twilight thought about which one to pick for a second before choosing. Eventually she chose Charmander.
“Are you sure you want that one?” asked Celestia.
“Yes, I’m sure,” Twilight answered.
“Okay, now Sunset.”
“Hmm, I think I’ll choose Squirtle.”
“Well, I guess that leaves Trixie with Bulbasaur,” said Trixie.
“Now that all three of you have Pokemon, I want to give you these,” the professor gave the girls their Pokedexes.
“Thanks, Professor,” said Twilight.
“You're very welcome, Twilight. I wish you all luck on your journeys. Now off you go. Adventure’s out there.”
They were just outside the lab when Sunset said, “Hey, Twilight.”
“Yes, Sunset?”
“Do you think I could have my first battle ever with you?”
“Um, sure. I don’t see why not.”
“Great.”

Vs. Rival Sunset Shimmer
“Go, Squirtle!” shouted Sunset, throwing Squirtle’s Pokeball. The ball bounced on the ground and let out Squirtle.
“Go, Charmander!” shouted Twilight, throwing Charmander’s Pokeball. The ball bounced on the ground and let out Charmander.
“Let’s see what the Pokedex has to say about these two,” said Trixie, sitting on the sidelines. She pulled out her Pokedex and pointed it at Spike.
“Charmander, the Lizard Pokemon. The fire on the tip of its tail is a measure of its life. Charmander will die if its tail goes out,” said the Pokedex.
Trixie then pointed the Pokedex at Squirtle.
“Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokemon. It shelters itself in its shell, then strikes back with squirts of water at every opportunity.”
“Okay, Squirtle, use Tackle!” said Sunset.
Squirtle used Tackle.
“Charmander, use Scratch!”
Charmander used Scratch.
The two Pokemon continued to do a rather uneventful fight for a few minutes until…
“Charmander is unable to battle. The winner is Squirtle!” shouted Trixie.
“Alright, Squirtle. We won our first battle!” said Sunset, excitedly.
“Congratulations,” said Twilight, a little bummed.
“Ah, don’t feel down, Twi. This was both of our first battle. We both had the same chances of winning. Take this loss as encouragement to get better. I’m sure you’ll win against me someday. Tell you what, how about I teach you how to catch a wild Pokemon?”
“Thanks, Sunny.”
“Don’t mention it.”
