With the Mane 6's Magic growing weaker, 3 scientists have started working privately on robots that will, hopefully, become heroes to Equestria and beyond. These 3 scientists were Silver Lining, Plasma Strike, and Shadow Stream. Silver Lining was a Pegasus tester for these new robots. She usually tested to see if the robots had the capability to fly, and she would also put them through several weather tests. Plasma strike was the main programmer and magic tester for the robots. She put them through tests to see if they could use magic to do normal tasks, and out of the norm tasks like shooting lasers. Shadow Stream was the only Stallion tester for the new robots. He was another Unicorn tester. The team tried to get some earth ponies to test, but most of them denied. Shadow Stream, to say the least, was mysterious. He hardly ever talked and mostly worked alone. However, toward the end of production he started working more cooperative.
"And... done!" Plasma Strike exclaimed. The 100th robot in testing had finally been completed. "You do realize it still takes a long time to connect it to the mainframe." Shadow Stream replied. The mainframe was the core of all production on the Mecha Ponies. "Mecha Ponies" was the name that the team decided on. The mainframe would do a lot of things. For example, if a robot didn't obey commands, the mainframe would alert the crew, and the robot would be automatically sent to testing areas. Not without permission of the scientists, of course.
The mainframe was also out of reach of the scientists. That is why the unicorns were usually the only ones going to it. They had teleported to the mainframe for a long time now. "Ok now we just need-" "Number 97's approved!" Silver Lining interrupted. "Great, would you stop interrupting me now?" Plasma strike replied. "Like I was saying... now all we need is to connect 100 to the mainframe, put it through testing, and the we'll finally be done!" Plasma Strike squealed. Shadow Stream and Silver Lining were staring at her. "Sorry! Did I get a little too excited there?" Plasma strike said, embarrased. Testing usually took about 2 days if it were a unicorn, 1 day if it was a pegasus, and a tiring 3 days if it were an Earth pony. Number 100 was an Earth Pony. Plasma Strike sighed. The connection was complete, and it felt like testing had just begun.
The reason everypony was so excited for the 100th Mecha Pony was because they have been trying to reach 100 mechas before official release. They thought that 100 was a good starting amount. Since the Lab was closest to Ponyville, the Mechas would be released there. Second reason being, the Mane 6 exist.
