Tricky Moon Dances
Act 1
Load Full StoryMoondancer sat in the library at CHS. She was to engrossed in her newest find, a rare and old set of research documents from the early years of the CHS science program. She learned tricks and tactics she wouldn't have found in modern science, even though all the aforementioned data would simplify her projects. Lemon Hearts had actually found the bulk of these papers, but Moondancer went on a hunt to get the full report. Which, as most could tell, successfully happened.
In all her reading, Moondancer hadn't noticed her friend, Twilight Sparkle, standing in front of her table. Twilight cleared her throat,Moondancer's head jolted up to face her. The astonishment on Moondancer's usually concentrated face was something dorky to Minuette. Twilight had something to do with Moondancer.
"Hey Twilight. Uh...what's up?" Moondancer asked awkwardly.
"Hey. Not much is going on. What are you reading?" Twilight asked with a polite smile.
"Oh, just a few documents feom the old CHS science program. It's actually quitw shocking that so many good techniques were abandoned. These methods will slice my project time in half. With that extra free time I could really have a social life!" Moondancer was more than happy to discuss reading, friendship, or reading about friendship. If not one, it's both combined.
"Wow. Sounds weird they'd drop so many projects." Twilight said as she skimmed through the previously read pages.
"Girls, library closes soon." Said a cheery voice. The duo looked away from the documents, Cheerlie stood smiling.
"Okay, we'll be out in a few minutes. Okay?" Twilight asked sweetly.
"Sure, you two spend a ton of time in here. If only Rainbow Dash would do some studying." Cheerlie rolled her eyes at the thought of Ranbow Dash studying then walked away.
"So, uhm...Moondancer. There's someone I want you to meet." Twilight said carefully. She knew Moondancer. And for one, Moondancer hated talking to people she didn't know.
"Okay?" Moondancer said with confusion edging in her words. But Twilight smiled reassuringly.
"Great!"
The chemical components should be equal. If not you may have super-saturation. This results in a quantity of powder or solute gather at the base of the container. Only use the directed amount of solute to avoid this overwhelming mess made by super-saturation.
Moondancer sat by the statue waiting for Twilight to bring this person. Reading through her chemistry notes, she wrote little tips and tricks from the catalogue of great documentation of the past techniques. Her excitement ebbed at her. She wanted to be known for something other than reading and studying.
"Are you Moondancer?" Said a chalky voice. It sounded like it had belonged to someone with a massive ego. Moondancer looked up to see a blue-silver haired teen girl in a jacket. Her skirt was imprinted with a wand and cloth. Both themed after the stars.
"Yes. I am." Moondancer stood, closed her book, and held out her hand.
"I'm the Great and Powerful Trixie!" This bizarre girl rolled the 'r' in her own name. Then Trixie shook Moondancer's hand.
"Where's Twilight?" Moondancer asked in moderated confusion.
"In the music room, with her bandmates. The rainbooms." Trixie said in annoyance. She seemed to not have a fondness for anyone who wasn't herself that is.
"So, uhm...what do you like to do?" Moondancer asked awkwardly. The conversation hadn't waited to kill itself. Which happened right after introductions, but Moondancer decided to try to relight a short fire.
"I like to perform. Magic shows, Band gigs, and my personal favorite youtube videos." She seemed so egotistical that Moondancer half expected a random person to huck spaghetti at her, and say 'Enjoy your spaghetti, you're very egotistical.'. She giggled thinking about it.
"What's so funny?" Trixie asked with a cross look. A glint of malicious rage sat barely nestled in her eyes.
"Nothing, just remembering something funny." Moondancer said lightly.
Trixie eased up a tad. She liked this Moondancer girl. Mostly her silly thinking. She kept that a secret, or at least until she'll likely spout out ridiculous statements. She looked around slightly.
"So, now what?" Trixie asked calmly. Trying not to make a fool of herself, for she was no fool. To herself and her. She was the best guitar player in the school. Although the Rainbooms definitely beat her. She still had no problem bragging about her band. Even if they were coming apart at the seams.
Moondancer shrugged. She'd go to the public library, but Twilight wanted these to to talk and make merry. So be it. It was a weird but easy to cope with subject.
The duo sat in silence until Trixie suddenly got an idea. She decided that they could possibly go and have a small trip to the cafe.
"Hey, why don't we go off to the cafe? It's relaxing and quiet. So maybe we can have a less awkward conversation?" Trixie pitched it to Moondancer.
"Um...I guess?" Moondancer put away her book, she'd work on her project later. For now she was starting to like this ego girl. They walked towards the edge of the campus. Moondancer suddenly asked.
"Do you have a car?"
Trixie looked at Moondancer, her eyes were staring forward. She then said,
"Nope!"
Moondancer laughed at this reaction, Trixie broke free of her act and laughed at her own silly joke. Then she remembered. She really didn't have a car. The two decided to walk anyway. Even though the whole time was barely speaking when they did, they were cracking jokes and laughing. Vinyl walked past them while entranced by the headphones blaring music.
When they entered the cafe, there were only three people. Octavia was enjoying a cup of her evening tea. While Derpy conversed with Carrot Top, they were eating muffins and drinking what appeared to be juice. Trixie paid for some apple juice and a package of peanut butter crackers. Whereas Moondancer settled for a chocolate muffin with a coffee. She'd need the caffeine to get anything done on her project.
They took seats. Derpy laughed at a joke that Carrot Top had made. Trixie and Moondancer got situated. Smiling and chatting. It was a long and funny evening. At the end of the night. The duo had become almost inseparable, like Lyra and Bon Bon. But not dating.
