//-------------------------------------------------------// A Lost Muse -by ThePenDragon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Figure //-------------------------------------------------------// A Figure Muse strolled along the dirt roads of Ponyville, his hooves in fashion forward shoes and his cutie mark of a camera in front of a pile of clothes covered by an elegant saddlebag, oh how ponies dream to be him. The mares want to be with him, whilst the stallions want to be him - mainly for the mares - but, alas, no-pony, other than the Muse, could possibly be him. Moments passed and he found himself in the local sweet shop where the smell of cakes, cupcakes, pies and pastries waft in the air. Muse always held a slight love for sweets, and maybe it was normal to always eat a sweet from each town he visited, either way, he had walked to the counter, being gawked at by countless mares. The sad reality of it, is he finds none of them to be suitable ever since his marriage ended just after he took off, no mare was seen the same to him, he just didn't find any of them to be even remotely attractive enough for him to spend more than a single date with. Muse smiled at the cotton-candy haired mare who was jumping about the room taking other ponies' orders. After waiting for a good six minutes, he simply tapped the counter, dragging the mare's attention away from going into the kitchen. It made him feel mean to divert her attention from the other ponies as he had only just got there, meanwhile most of these ponies had got there perhaps hours early knowing his ritual of eating sweets. "I'd like to place an order, please," Muse said kindly as he waited for her to bust out a pen and start writing. He was thinking to himself. She's kind of cute . . . but how she looks . . . she's probably WAY too hyper for me . . . he thought to himself and smiled as she nodded. The pink haired mare went and got a pad of paper along with a pen. "What would you like?" she asked, almost tiredly. She was obviously not able to get much sleep the night prior, perhaps because of the party, but then again, he recalled seeing her as the 'life' of the party, in fact, she hosted the party. Muse took not a second before asking about a cupcake and smiling at her. "Some party it was last night . . ." he mumbled making small talk, which caused the pink haired mare to nod and smile. "I'm glad you liked it!" she giggled and held out her hand. "I'm Pinkie Pie by the way wellI'mnotPinkiePieI'mPinkamenaDianePiebutmyfriendsalwayscallmePinkiePieandIhavealotoffriends!" Muse tried to understand what the mare just said, he smiled and nodded softly. "Nice to meet you Pinkie Pie." He said chuckling, trying to make it sound like he was listening, but he was still trying to understand what she said about her real name. It soon passed and he shrugged. "I'm Muse," he said smiling. Muse's name earned a large, long, and surprisingly airy gasp from the cotton-candy haired mare. "You mean you're the Muse?!" she asked giddily as she got closer to the end of the counter, almost forgetting of the other customers who have waited in line longer than he had, but he got no words in edgewise as the mare began blabbing her mouth. "SodoyouknowPhotoFinishbecausemyfriendRarityknowsPhotoFinishshemadethedressesforherandnowshe'srunningashophereintownandinCanterlot!" she said jumping over to the side of him. Once again, Muse's head hurt from the long string of words pouring from Pinkie Pie's mouth. "Yeah . . .?" he mumbled only half sure of what she said, all he knew was he heard the name Photo Finish, and he did know her. He smiled and waited for his cupcake patiently. A few of the young kids - mainly girls - asked for his autograph, which he happily obliged by signing what it was the girl or boy wanted him to sign. A few more minutes passed and finally Muse got his cupcake, which he smiled and sat with one of the fans as he ate. "So, what's your name, honey?" he asked, tipping his news-cap slightly as he looked at the mare, who looked like she was about to faint from shock. "Roseluck!" she managed to squeak out and true to his belief, passed out. He continued eating when another mare caught his eye, a cute girl with orange plaid with a cowboy hat on. She approached Pinkie and started talking amongst the two. Then, something shocked him, a strapping young stallion appeared at the door of the bakery. His muscular body was something he couldn't stop looking at, he was similar, but somehow, seeing someone else's muscles made him intrigued. He shouldn't stare too long. As soon as his head turned, Muse jerked his head at his cupcake, it didn't appear he noticed the unicorn staring at him, that or he just didn't care. He nibbled his cupcake bit by bit stealing short-lived glances to the male he was so intrigued with. After his cupcake was gone, he got up and went to the hotel he was staying at. "What was that?" Muse mumbled to himself. "I'm never . . . like that to anyone, especially not a male." He said biting his lip, but the more he mumbled to himself, the more he was thinking about who he found cute. Later in the day Muse walked down thinking he might as well see what the fuss was about for their apples, they're just apples, nothing special in his mind, he never even ate many apples, though he did once split an apple pie with famed flier Soarin, but that's different. He walked to the farm unknowingly going to the location of his crush. He chuckled softly and arrived in the farm, he saw a little girl he walked over and tapped her shoulder and she spun around, her eyes widening at the sight she never thought she'd see. Gasping the little girl pointed to him. "Y-Y-You're . . ." she was speechless, he was famous though, however, the little girl wasn't really fashion-forward looking. "Muse at your service," he smiled softly and chuckled at the girl's reaction. She was jumping up and down. "What might your name be?" he asked politely. Muse could visibly see how she was struggling to get the name out, too star struck at the moment. Finally, she got the name out. "I'm Applebloom." She giggled and suddenly hugged him. He didn't stop her, since he was used to fans hugging him, some would even squeeze his arms to see if what people say is true about his muscles. That's exactly what she did in fact, but she didn't seem as impressed as other little girls were. "Ya'll not as strong as my big brother, Big Mac." Applebloom said huffing as she looked at him for a moment. "Why are ya here anyway?" Muse shrugged and smiled. "I hear you got the best apples for miles." He chuckled softly and looked around. "Anyone I can talk to so I can test that theory?" he asked and quickly received a nod from the young girl who pointed over to a figure. As soon as he turned around Muse's heart skipped a beat seeing that she was pointing to the figure he was so fascinated by in the restaurant. He began to approach him.
