Cotton Cloudy might not be the richest or most popular filly in Ponyville, but she has a happy life nonetheless. In particular, she enjoys spending time with her brother, Blizzard Wing, the one pony she looks up to among all others.

But one day, tragedy strikes and Blizzard Wing is killed in a horrific accident, leaving Cotton Cloudy small, confused, and worst of all, alone. Confined to her internal darkness, she has no idea of who she is anymore.

But then a massive storm threatens Ponyville. Can she finish what her brother started and move forward, or will she stay sulking in his shadow forever?

I looked out the window

"It's about your son, Mrs. Cloudsmith."

"Oh no, did he hit somepony with a lightning bolt again?"

"No, he..."

I edged closer. If something happened to him, I just had to know what it was.

"He was working with his weather team, as usual, when a large storm brewed. He foolishly took it as a chance to prove himself..."

Why was I not surprised... Bliz was always trying to prove himself, often dangerously. He'd been in the hospital twice just this year.

"He flew straight at the cloud... Next time he was seen..." The policemare paused and looked at the floor, "He was in the creek, his head split wide open..."

...That doesn't sound good...

"Your son's gone, Mrs. Cloudsmith... He was dead before we found him..."

Dead? My brother's dead?
