It was a particularly sunny day in Ponyville the birds were chirping the sun was out. It was the start of a spring break in Ponyville and all the filly's and colts were let out of school early; however, a certain rainbow pony was not enjoying it as one would expect.
"Pufft! My day off. What am I gonna do? Ugh, I'm already so booooooooerd! All of my friends are busy and they left me to rot!" Rainbow Dash said to herself as she flew Ponyville town hall and resting on a cloud.
"Huh, I can already tell this days gonna suck!" she rolled over on her back and stared at the deep blue sky.
"Day off.....what am I supposed to do! This is lame." Rainbow Dash thought to herself as she began rolling around on the cloud over looking Ponyville. The town was buzzing with busy ponies around town getting ready for a break from there jobs to kick back and relax for spring break.
"Hmm. I guess I could go see Scootaloo." Rainbow said to herself. "She might need help with flying. The pipsqueak is always up to something," Rainbow Dash said with a chuckle, as she takes off into a sunny blue sky. Her bright vivid rainbow mane whipping around as she rockets through the sky leaving a short rainbow streak behind her.
She fly's down to the cutie mark crusaders club house and lands out on the wooden balcony and brushes off her wing. "Time to make an appearance after all I am a princess to these young pegasi," Dash thinks to herself as she proceeds in. "Alright alright Rainbow Dash is here!" she bragged to a completely empty club house. She hovered there blushing a light pink from the embarrassment of boasting into a empty club house.
"Ah, jeez I'm glad nopony saw that," Dash says as she turns around and walks out "Jeez even the pipsqueak is out doing something." she complained.
She took to the skies again and did a set loop-de-loops as she gained altitude at high speeds. While she flew through the air she contemplated on what to do next. Running through her list of friends.
"Why is every one busy today?" Rainbow asked herself, as she tore through the sky like a bullet. Once again Rainbow Dash was shooting over Ponyville trying to fine something for her to do. A strong pain in her tummy followed by a loud growling told her exactly what she had to do next.
"Great I'm bored lonely and now hungry!" She says as she flies around to find someplace to eat she comes across a burger joint. "Well its better than nothing." she said landing at the entry way. She flexed her wings folding them to her sides snug and trots inside with her head up high. Personally Rainbow Dash didn't like fast food places, she liked to say fit and lean by eating healthy foods like vegetables and maybe even the occasional shake but she could make do with a cream soda from time to time.
"RAINBOW DASH!" A loud familiar voice screamed from a pink colored pony sitting a booth "DASHIE, COME HERE!" Pinkie Pie called over from a booth. Rainbow saw her friend and quickly made her way over to the pink pony with an embarrassed look.
"I told you never to call me that!!!" Rainbow Dash yells flustered with pink blush across her muzzle as Pinkie Pie giggles.
"Sorry, Dashie I forget!" she said with a snort of laughter. "Come come sit with us!" Pinkie squealed as Rainbow looks to the other side of the booth were a yellow pony with a brown curly mane was sitting.
"Cheese sandwich?" Rainbow Dash said with a look of confusion on her face.
"Hay there Dashie!" Cheese Sandwich exclaims with a happy grin on his face.
"Hey! Don't you start that to I can barely stand Pinkie saying it. Also, when did you get back?"
*MEANWHILE*
"SPRING BREAK MOTHERBUCKERS!!" A bright white pony with yellow curly mane yells in excitment while running into the local Ponyville Hotel.
"Surprise stand down!" a dull coated yellow pony yells at her as followed by 3 others.
"We really need to strap her down," a bright milky pony with turquoise hair adds with a smirk while trotting up to the front desk.
"Oh come on Blaze. Let Surprise have some fun an speaking of which you need to let your hair down I haven't seen you relax in.......Uhhh come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen you relax." a dark blue pony with a navy blue mane added while watching Blaze pull Surprise into a headlock.
"Blaze, Surprise lock it up now!" A command coming from the last pony in the five a name every pony knows well the colonel of the Equestrian air force and co-captain of the Wonderbolts Soarin Winds.
The two fighting ponies stop immediately and salute to him."SIR YES SIR!" they both say without question.
"You guys really suck at being incognito you know that?" Misty Fly adds as she takes out her a bag of bits to pay for there hotel rooms.
No way," Soarin says walking to up her. "You paying for us? I don't believe it," he says with a smirk putting his bit bag on the desk. "I got this and you know I get the bigger pay check anyway!" Misty rolls her eyes and hugs him.
"Oh, Soarin your so big and strong. Since your so strong you can carry me to my room," she says as she climbs on his back and wraps her hooves around his neck. He blushed from the mare getting on him as she giggled.
"YAY PIGGY BACK RIDE!" Surprise adds as she jumps on Soarins back.
"Wait no I didn't say you could ride me!" He states as Surprise busts out laughing making him flush. "N-not like that you perv!" He grunts and walks to the stairs.
The team of five were have way up the stairs when Blaze adds her opinion. "I can't believe the Colonel of the Air force gives piggy back rides now. How in embarrassing!" She says walking next to Soarin.
"Alright, Blaze you can get on too but next time get on in the beginning," Soarin says smirking down to her,Blaze looks at him and squint. They reach the top of the stairs Soarin with two pony's on his back and Blaze with a satisfying grin on her muzzle as she jumps down from his back
"Thanks for the ride," she says looking at Soarin's face expecting to see a sweating pony but instead a cheesy smile.
"Anytime!" He reply's with his signature goofy smile.
"Uh guys wheres Wave and Surprise?" Misty says staying on Soarin's back as Wave chills hoof struggles to reach the top stair and barely manages to pull himself up.
''H-help! s-she w-wont g-get off!" He says panting and sweating and Surprise on top of him with a big grin.
"Surprise, Wave stop fooling around and come get your room key." Soarin stated ready to start his vacation.
"Alright everypony has their room key?" Soarin says at the four as they all nod in unison. "Alright then lets start our vacation! Uh, what you guys wanna do?" he asked, looking at the rest.
"Uhhh hmm. Well lets walk around and see what we can do," Wave suggested to the others. "I mean we can do what ever we want since this is our first day of vacation after all."
"Good point lets set off!" Soarin said as the five pony's set out of there hotel and onto the dirt streets of Ponyville.
As they traveled along the roads Blaze couldn't help but notice how small the town was. "Wow this is a really quaint town nothing like Manehatten," Blaze says looking at all the ponies pass by peacefully.
"Its really nothing like the wilds of a busy city is it?" Surprise said while she did a cartwheel around her team. "Jeez it may peaceful but its boring we need something to do."
"Well I guess we could go get something to eat. I am pretty hungry." Misty says to the group the rest of the five agree and they walk around until they find a burger joint.
"Ehhhh I'm not a fan of hay burgers maybe they have salad." Blaze mumbles to herself while the other four walk into the burger joint, Soarin walks up to the counter and begins to order.
*MEANWHILE*
Rainbow Dash is board out of her mind listening to Pinky Pie and cheese sandwich drone on and on "OHMYGOSH! OHMYGOSH! OHMYGOSH! They just keep talking and talking its like watching Twilight talk about a book but like times ten!" She thinks to her self as she hits her head on the table. Just then the five pony's walk in and she looks over her ears perks up she notices something familiar about the one in front. His eyes and that smile it had to be.
"Soarin!?" Rainbow yells across the burger joint from her booth. The call reaches the stallions ear making him stop in his tracks and look over at her as she gets up from Pinkie's table and runs over to him.
"No way, Little Rainboom!?" Soarin said as his face lit up as Rainbow Dash came over and saluted."Hehe calm down ,Rainboom, no need to formalities. I'm here on vacation!" He says smiling and scratching the back of his head with his hoof.
"No way! Your vacationing in Ponyville are you alone where are the others?" Rainbow dash asked as she put her hoof down Blaze and Misty look at each other with eye brows raised while the two continue to talk.
"There right behind me!" Soarin explained to her. "Well five of us. My sister, High Winds and the other six are in Phillydelphia right now," the two ponies continued to chatter on until they were interrupted.
"Say Rainbow Dash........How did you recognize Soarin and not the rest of us?" Surprise asks confused as Rainbow Dash's pupils shrunk as she remember too many late nights with her hoof and wonderbolt tabloids after a while of that she begin to find similarities.
"Uhhh you know he got me through basic," shes says scratching the back of her head with her hoof and blushing a light red. "So you guys are on vacation? What are the famous Wonderbolts doing today flight training?" She asks trying to hold in excitement for her idols.
"Uh, actually we are bored out of our minds. So we came in here because we were looking for something eat!" Wave Chill says from behind Soarin.
"Say, Rainboom, you wanna chill with us? After all I still need to properly thank you for saving my life?" Soarin asks her with his signature goofy smile.
"Omgomgomg they want to hang out with me!? No way in hell and I thought this day was gonna suck!" Rainbow dash thinks to herself but trys to say cool in front of her idols. "Uhhh yea sure whatever if you want me to im just chillin' you guys want to get a table?" The six find a extra large booth to sit in while surprise went to go order. The ponys all talk expect soarin who was staring out the window Rainbow dash begins to stare at him.
"Jeez i never relisted how Soarin looked with out his suit," she thinks as her eyes inspect his body his light blue coat was clean and slick. His mane was so blue it was perfectly slicked back to his neck. He looked over at her and his apple green eyes pierced her magenta ones and he smiles lightly. "His......eyes," her thought was broken by a feint voice.
"Rainbow Dash!" Misty may yelled and dash shook her head and looked at Misty. "Damn Dash your staring at Soarin like Soarin stares at pie," she says with a chuckle just as Surprise comes back with there food after a while of eating the pony's just finished there meal and were talking nothing other then what pegasi love most flying then Wave Chill chimes in.
"Hay you guys wanna hit a bar i'm super thirsty." he says looking over a Soarin. "Come on soarin you know you want a drink!
"Uh sure say rainboom you wanna join us?" Soarin asks to Rainbow Dash with his goofy signature smile.
She wanted to seem cool in front of the Wonderbolts even through all her bravado the fear of being looked down upon weighed heavily on her. The six got up and headed for the door but Rainbow Dash stopped and looked back."Oh yeah I forgot about Pinkie Pie," she thought looking back at the couple drinking a root beer float with two straws. "Jeez those two are met for each other," she says as she walks out of the fast food place.
The six ponies walk into the local watering hole and talk a seat at booth. "Alright first rounds on me what you guys want?" Blaze asks the group as they confide on beverages. "Alright Misty wants a vodka cranberry Wave wants bloody mary Surprise wants a pina colada Soarin wants a jack and coke and what do you want Dash?"
"Um.... I'll just have a water" Rainbow Dash says nervously she really didn't want to reject there company.
"You sure? its cool I'm sure you'll be fine your 20 not 16" surprise says bumping her shoulder "im sure the bartender would let one of the elements of harmony kick one back!"
"Uh no i'm fine i'm not really a drinker," she states with a nervous giggle and a cold sweat praying that they wouldn't reject her.
"Its cool, Dash you know Fleet foot doesn't drink eater no need to be all nervous your fine!" Blaze says to a sweating dash "alright ill be back with your orders," Rainbow dash sighs in relief as Blaze walks up two the bar to get there orders.
"Sooooo Soarin I didn't know you drank," Rainbow Dash said casually looking over at the stallion trying to get some sort of conversion going on.
"Uhhh not really i'm more of a soda stallion myself but Blaze she can drink anyone under a table its freaking awesome ive never seen anything like it!" He says watching blaze come back with their drinks.
"Alright there we are" Blaze states triumphantly raising a glass. "Now lets toast to a great spring break!" She and everyone else raises their glasses and take a sip and all the ponies starting chatting up.
"So Rainbow Dash where did you grow up?" Wave asked openly. "Anything exciting?".
"Well I grew up in Cloudsdalle just had a normal child hood I guess you know mom and dad brother all that I really wanted to be a wonderbolt for most of my life but I met my friends and i could never leave now," she said staring at her glass of water and smiling.
"Well never mind that lets get this party stared," Surprise yells.
A few hours later they were lit. Misty was passed out in the booth next to Surprise. Blaze was at the bar taking shots of tequila and Soarin and Wave Chill were standing on the bar singing my own worst enemy by lit in unison.
"Jeez the Wonderbolts can really party wish i could chill with them every day," Rainbow Dash thinks to herself in the booth with passed out party poopers.
"A dance ma lady?" He says with a snarky smile she blushes a warm pink across her muzzle as she takes his hoof and they get up on the bar and do the world famous chicken dance.
After a few more drinks the six were kicked out off the bar it was one in the morning and they were super drunk. "That was so awesome you've got some real moves rainboom!" Soarin complemented the drunk mare with a hiccup as they wobbled back to the hotel with both Surprise and Misty on his back and Wave who wasn't paying much attention to anything and Blaze running around yelling from the vodka and redbull.
"Why didn't we hangout sooner? Your like the coolest mare I know!" He says wobbling with her down the street.
"G-gee thanks I do my best ya know." she says her face red with blush as they continue to chat as they walk.
They soon reach the Ponyville hotel the streets were bare and dark and Wave was puking into the bushes. "Hay thanks rainbow dash for coming out with us it was really fun." Soarin says barely able to stand.
"No problem. Honestly I should thank you made my a hell of a lot better! I really would love to hang out with you again"! She says with a hick up.
"Definitely! You are the shit!" He said falling over drunkenly and Dash laughs so hard she had stomach pains.
"Alright alright I got to get home ya big lug," she said still laughing
"Uhhh you, OK to fly Dash?" Soarin says barely able to keep his eyes open.
"Immm f-fine!" She says as she takes off.
"A-almost h-home," Rainbow dash says as she starts the lose altitude and starts spinning....she crashes into the window of Sugarcube Corner....
"Mmph!" Came a grunt from a soft blue stallion as the rays sunshine hits his eyelids.
“Uargh, come on Celestia just five more minutes please!” He pleaded trying to make a deal with the sun princess as he sat up in bed and rubbed his head.
“Ugh, how much did I drink last night?” He groaned, looking at the alarm clock which read, 15:00. “Oh gosh, my head is throbbing.” He complained, stumbling out of bed and trotted to the bathroom. “I am never going to drink ever again!" he declared as the throbbing in his head intensified making him grab hold of it tenderly rubbing his temples. I feel horrible and I smell horrible and…..horrible.” Soarin thought to himself.
He stepped into the shower and turned on the water letting it hit his head and flow through his blue mane letting the cool water take the hair gel out and resetting his hair to its natural resting position. “Oh sweet, Celestia…..That feels great.” he stated as he let the water run down his body. The water was ice cold but his service in the military cold showers were nothing.
“Soarin!? Are you in there? Come quick!” A panicked Surprise yelled as she began to slam on his hotel door.
Soarin's ears perk up from hearing a slight noise. “Huh? Hello?” He said as he stuck his his head out of the shower. “Hummm….I swore I heard
something.” he thought to himself
“Soarin! Get your flank out here!” Surprise yelled slamming her hoof into the door putting a hoof sized hole in it before it collapsed on the floor and the mare rushed inside. “SOARIN!”
“Surprise? Great what stupid thing is going on now,” he mumbled to himself, as he turns off the water and gets out the shower and steps into the living room. He gave the mare a look of shock as he inspected a small hole in his door. “Surprise!W- w-what did you do to my door!?”
“No time!!! We have to go now!” Surprise said frantically as she grabbed his hoof and ran down to the lobby Soarin still wet from his shower.
“Surprise! Where are we going!?” He asked, being dragged by the white mare.
“The Hospital! Rainbow Dash had a accident!” She said as Soarin stops her in the lobby.
“W-what!? Is she OK?! Where are the others?!" Soarin said as he shakes Surprise.
“I-I don't know I just woke up with a letter taped to my face from blaze! That said she was at the hospital from a flying accident last night!” Surprise barely able to explain because she was being shook mercilessly by panicked Soarin.
Soarin grabs Surprise’s hoof and runs out of the hotel lobby and onto the streets of Ponyville and runs down a dirt road, Surprise right on his heels.
Soarin! Do you even know where you're going!?” Surprise said trying to be the voice of reason so a panicked Soarin.
“I…..no I just I let her fly off Surprise! It's my fault what if she never flies again!? I can't believe I'm so stupid!” Soarin creied out as his eyes started to tear up.
“Soarin, calm down I'm sure she's fine, but we need to find the hospital fast.” Surprise said looking around for local ponies when she sees Lyra and Bon Bon walking together. “Um, excuse me!” Surprise yelled as she waves to the couple.
“Oh, may we help you?” Bon Bon asked as she and Lyra walk over to the panicked ponies. “Uhh, are you guys alright?”
The two mares tails were intertwined in a swirl keeping their flanks together as they walked. “Do you know where the hospital is?” Surprise asked out of breath as Lyra looked at Soarin with quizzical look.
“Umm, yeah you go down this road and you-” Bon Bon was saying when she was interrupted by Lyra “Soarin?!” Lyra said with a smile.
“Huh? How do you know my name?” Soarin asked looking at the seafoam green mare.
“Soarin it's Lyra from Canterlot Instrumental School!” She said hugging him.
“Lyra? " he asked rubbing his chin before he realized who it was. "Oh yeah, I remember you! You played the uhhh harp right?” He asked while hugging her back.
“Soarin you went to instrumental school? Why did you never tell me about that!" Surprise exclaimed.
“Yes but it was brief. It wasn't very long and it was a very weird time for me, but that's where I met Lyra!” He said while he rubbed the back of his head with his hoof.
“Yeah, pie boy had a liking for me back in the day,” Lyra said with a slight giggle.
“Pie boy?” Surprise said with a smirk while Soarin was blushing with embarrassment.
“Look this reunion was great but we need to get to the hospital.” Soarin said trying to change the subject.
“Oh yea I know where it is me and Bon Bon can take you there.” Lyra said looking at BonBon who was pouting about the detour.
“Lyra! Come on this was my day off. We were suppose to spend it together.” Bon Bon hissed, whispering to her mare friend.
“Shh! Bonny come on I haven't seen Soarin in years this can wait a bit,” she whispers back. "Please?"
Bon Bon rolled her eyes at Lyra's sad puppy dog look before relenting.
"Hmm, fine. But you owe me Lyra." she said leading the way. "Follow me!"
The four ran for Ponyville hospital which took only a few minutes thanks to Bon Bon's guiadance. Entering the lobby the four trotted up to the front desk where the receptionist sat with a clipboard in her hooves. “Uh ma'am I'm looking for a Rainbow Dash.” Soarin asked the nurse pony.
“Room 110 down the hall to the right,” the nurse responded to the four ponies as they take off towards Dashes room.
The four ponies barge into her room to find Rainbow Dash in a hospital bed reading a book with bandages over her right wing and right hoof. “Huh?” Dash responded looking up at them. “Soarin? Uhh what are you guys doing in here?”
“Rainbow we thought…….What happened to you?” Surprise asked Dash
“Oh I'm fine! Just crashed into a window no big!" she boasted like it was the best thing in the world. "Just a broken hoof and sprained wing, what's wrong with you guys?" Rainbow asked confused on the quad of ponies in front of her. “Soarin wow…..your mane,”
“Oh yeah, I totally didn't get the chance to put any gel in it.” He said putting his hoof through his droopy mane. “We rushed down here as fast as possible! We thought you were really hurt!”
Rainbow Dash laughed. “Misty told me Surprise would freak. She totally called it!” Soarin sighed and sat in a chair right next to Dashes bed.
“Oh thank Celestia you're OK, Dash,” he said with a sigh of relief. “I was so worried you were really hurt bad.”
“Oh Dash, you should have seen it he was almost crying he was so worried!” Surprise said to a blushing Soarin.
“Uhhhh…..” Rainbow Dash said as she points to Lyra and Bon Bon fiercely making out behind Surprise.
“Whoa!” Surprise said as the two bump into a counter and knock over a empty glass. “Alright filly's come on out let's go,” she guides the two out leaving Dash and Soarin alone.
Dash looked over at the silent stallion. “So the mighty Soarin was crying over me?” She said with a mocking tone. “Are you getting soft on me Colonel?”
“Well….Yeah kinda I thought you were really hurt and stuff,” he said with a light red blush across his muzzle while he puts his hoof on her's. “I care about you and junk”
Dash blushes a wild cherry red as his hoof touched hers and her left wing started to stand up on its own
“So, Dash, when do you get discharged?” He said as Rainbow was blushing hard
“Umm, today a five but I might stay because I can't get home. I can't fly,” she said laying back in bed.
“Well I can fly you home! After all I caused this letting you fly drunk!” He said smiling and nibbled on her hoof.
Rainbow Dash giggled at Soarin as Surprise skipped happily back in and Soarin took his hoof away from hers. “Sorry, about that those two. They were going nuts,” she said as she walked over to Dash's bed and sat down. “So Dash you doing, OK?”
“Oh yeah I'm fine Blaze Wave and Misty were up here later today before they headed to Cloudsdale,” Dash said sitting up in the bed. “Other than that I've been so bored! I'm glad you guys came here when you did." she said hugging the group."So what you guys wanna do? I have like five more hours left here,”
“Uh, we could talk?” Surprise suggested to the two ponies beside her. “Um, Rainbow Dash what do you guys do around Ponyville?,”
“Well I usually just hang out with my friends but they're all busy for spring break and I've never went this long without something attacking the town like this. So I'm not really sure what to do.” she said yawning.
“Uh, there's a TV in here you guys. Wanna see if something is on?” Soarin asked to the two mares.
"Sure! Let me get the lights,” Surprise said turning off the lights and getting remote. “What you guys wanna watch?”
“Oh! Oh! Something funny! The mood needs to be lightened!” Soarin said with a smile while Surprise flipped through channels.
“You guys don't have to stay with it me if you don't want too.” Rainbow said while blushing.
“Oh please! It's the least we can do and we have nothing much going on anyway,” she said turning the channel to Preno 911.
“Hay I love this show! Turn it up!” Dash said with a smile. Just as Bon Bon and Lyra walk back in. “Oh...hey where have you guys been?” Bon Bon and Lyra manes are really disheveled and Bon Bon had a devilish smirk.
“Oh, don't worry about it were fine.” Lyra said taking a seat with her milky color paramore.
All ponies were watching the TV when Soarin slid his hoof back on Dash's bed and softly grabs her hoof again and Dash, meeps, quietly as she feels his hoof on her's. She looks over at him and there eyes meet.
“Her eyes are exceptional~,” he thought to himself as she tightened her grip oh his hoof.
“Oh my gosh his hoof it's so...big! Should I say something? What do I do!?” She thought to herself as a cold sweat ran down her forehead as they stared into each other's eyes.
The show ended and the three other ponies in the room were staring at the two that were deadlocked into each other's eyes.
“Uh..we should give them space.” Bon Bon whispers with her first words of the day as the three sneak away to give the two privacy.
The two sat there for a good 15 minutes when they noticed the room was empty. “Oh…Where did everypony go?” Rainbow Dash asked looking around.
“Uhh I'm not sure” He said getting out and looks outside of the door. “Well...I guess we got the room to our self! I wonder where they went?”
“Probably left. I'm pretty boring stuck in this room and all.” Dash said with a sigh while Soarin walked over to her.
“No way you're the best ever!” He said smiling. “I'll chill with you all day!”
“Thanks Soarin your like the nicest stallion ever!” She said smiling back.
“So, Dash, um you have a coltfriend or anything like that?” Soarin said resting his head on the side of the bed.
“Uhhh no I haven't had a coltfriend is like…… since I was sixteen I've been well…..I don't know just not to many good stallions around here I guess,” she said laying back in the bed. “Why is the mighty Soarin asking me out?”
“Oh please as if, like you could handle all this stallion!” He said putting his hoof on his chest proudly.
“Oh yea is that a challenge!?” She said sitting up and getting in his muzzle feeling her competitive nature rising.
“Yea it is! Dinner tonight at eight, cutest pony wins,” as the two ponies were deadlocked staring at each other.
“Miss Dash,” Nurse Redheart walk in to see to ponies in a blinking contest. “Uhh OK, Miss Dash you're being discharged so you can leave.”
“Oh, its five already?” Dash said staring at the clock. “Oh Soarin you're so gonna lose this bet! I have the perfect dress! Your gonna look stupid,”
“Oh, please! I've got you so doomed I have my officer's uniform!” Soarin said as he helped her out of her bed and they walked down the hallway gloating with each other as they walk out to the front desk and sign out.
“I'm so happy I'm out of the hospital it's so boring around here” Rainbow Dash said as she signs her name out.
“Hope your not to tired for our bet your gonna get creamed!” He stated proudly as the too walk outside.
“We'll see now I need to get back to my house to get dressed to school you,” Dash said while climbing onto Soarin's back. “Jeez, you're a big pony Soarin.” she said literally sizing him up.
“I'll go slow for now so you don't pee yourself from the speed.” He joked taking off into the twilight sky while Dashes hoofs tighten around his neck.
The sky was the perfect color orange and purple as the sun was going down. A sea of colors that reminded Rainbow of her sonic rainboom. Only this time it was a natural beauty to behold. She glanced own at Soarin rubbing his neck.
“Damn Soarin is super big, I should let him stay over he must be super tired he's super nice I owe him one,”
Soarin glided for the most part so Dash wouldn't lose her grip as he landed in front of her house. “Wow this house is huge!” Soarin said looking up at her cloud mansion.
“Yeah, I know. Feel free to be jealous.” She said walking over to her door and trying to open it. “What the….”
Dash continue to kick and bang on the door. “Uh Dash why is there a note on your door?” Soarin said as he pointed at the door. Rainbow snatched the note of the door and promptly read it.
“I've been foreclosed!?” She said sitting down on her doorstep.
“What why?” Soarin asked looking at the note. “You haven't payed in months why!?”
“Uhh...I…I lost my job..” Rainbow said rubbing her arm.
“Wait why?” He said looking at the now Dash curled up into a ball. “D-dash”
Rainbow Dash stayed silent. “Come on Rainboom laying there isn't gonna solve anything!” Soarin said to a silent ponyball “Come on perk up it'll be, OK!” Again she didn't move. “Can't you stay with one of your friends?” He said patting her back.
“They're all out of town” Dash mumbled.
“Oh…. Well um say you can stay with me! I have room at my hotel! It's been awhile since I've had a roomie!” He said wiggling Dash.
“R-really?” She said looking up at him her eyes have a bit of red in them and under her eyes were damp with tears. “Soarin...why are you being so nice to me? I have nothing you want.”
“I don't do it for wealth Rainbow Dash. I probably have enough in my savings to buy Ponyville! I'm a First Lieutenant I have more bits then you could spend in a lifetime I do it because I care about you and I don't want to see you in pain,” Soarin says rubbing her back.
“But why me? Why am I so important to you?” Dash said as she sat up.
Its getting late Dash come on get up we can let anyone see a rainbow cry” He said helping her up and onto his back and taking off. Moments later Soarin lands on the ground in front of the hotel and proceeds in ”I didn't know Dash was this insecure I've never seen her like this,” He thought to himself as he walked passed the front desk and begins to walk up the stairs.
“So Rainbow, do you uh, do you like sports or junk?” Soarin said trying to make light conversation but to a effortless extent because Dash was passed out on back. “Awwww somepony’s tuckered out.”
Soarin reaches the top of the stairs and walked into the hall his floor was on and he was greeted by dark blue stallion. “Hey Soarin!” Wave Chill said walking up to him.
“Shhhh! Be quiet Wave Chill don't you see I have company?” Soarin said to him.
“Uhhh is there any reason why?” Wave Chill asked the light blue stallion.
“It's a long story just look can you not say anything to Surprise and them especially Surprise don't tell Surprise,” he insisted to Wave Chill. “Oh, no sweat.” He said as Soarin walked passed him and walked to his door.
“Thanks I owe you one,” Soarin said as he walked into his room and closed the door. “There now let's get you into bed,”
He walks past the living room and into the bedroom and lays the passed out mare on the bed and covers her up “Um, goodnight?” Soarin said not really sure how to put somepony to bed a proceed out of the door.
A hour later Rainbow Dash awakes. “Mmph,” she moans as she rolls over. “W~where am I?”
Dash stumbles out of Soarins bed and looked around. “well i'm not in the sky,” she said looking at the night stand to goggles and a pair of dog tags. “Oh yea i'm at soarin's hotel,”
Dash now snooping around and comes upon his closet. “Hello what do we have here?” Dash said opening his closet and looking inside. Everything is clean and pressed and in order from formal attire to his Wonderbolt suit.
“Wow this is nothing like my closet! Everything's so neat,” she said looking exclusively at his Wonderbolt suit. “I'll just look at it.” Rainbow proceeded to take his suit off the hanger. “Wow I've never been this close to a actual Wonderbolt suit it's so awesome!” Dash said as she felt the soft material.
“Maybe he won't care if I put it on for just a minute,” Dash said putting on the Wonderbolts flight suit it was way to big for her. “Oh well it fine I didn't expect it to fit anyway,”
Dash said as she began to take it off but before she could the suit started vibrating. “What the!?” She yelped as the suit grabbed her body and shaped her. “Uhhh well….this is...weird”
Rainbow walked over to a mirror inspecting herself in ti like a model. “Awww yea!! I look so good!” She said looking at herself in the mirror.
“You having fun?” Soarin asked leaning in the doorway.
“Soarin I'm sorry! I was just well I-” Rainbow said panicking and trying to get out of his suit.
“Hmm. I didn't know the old model could confide to such….hard circumstances.” he said inspected her.
“Hard circumstiems? Old model Soarin what you talking about?” Dash said not able to pronounce the word circumstances but clearly knowing the meaning.
“Oh sorry all wonderbolt suites are magic built to be tough and resilient and to shape the user no matter weight gain or loss. Im surprise how it could shape you! You're so small!” Soarin said nudging her, though she didn't like to accept it she was a Fluttershy to his Big Mac. “Oh Dash I have a surprise for you!”
Soarin took her hoof and walked out to the living room and gives her a box with a ribbon.
“OK, Soarin you really didn't have to this you've done enough,” She said blushing under the suit and rubbing her mane.
"Dash you really need to open it I didn't put holes in that box,” He said with a nervous smile.
“What are you talking about?” Dash said as she open the box to find her tortoise, Tank “Tank!? Soarin where did you how did you!?”
“Let's just say I called in a favor” He said with his goofy smile.
“Soarin there are no words I owe you my life and-” Soarin interrupted Dash before she could finish.
“It's fine it really is but Dash I'm exhausted can we talk tomorrow?” Soarin asked, Rainbow Dash just now noticing the deep circles under his eyes.
“Oh of course i'm still so sleepy do you have a blanket so I can sleep on the couch?” She asked trying to take off his flight suit
“Oh it's thought activated just think about it and it will release” Soarin said laying on the couch. “And I have the couch you can take the bed,”
“Really are you sure?” Dash asked to a now sleeping Soarin. “Wow he must have been really tired”
Dash walks into the bedroom and uses the mind trick to take off the suit. “That is super cool.” she says as she lays in his bed and dozes off to bed.
