Twilight Sparkle paced back and forth. She called Rarity just an hour ago she wanted her to come over so she could come out to her. She didn't know who else to talk to and she was lonely. Her heart beat really fast. She couldent believe she was doing this but knew it had to be done. Soon Rarity entered. Rarity walked to where Twilight was at and sat down Twilight got up fixed Rarity some tea and gave Rarity her drink who took it and Twilight sat back down again.

Twilight looked at her at sat down as well figuring out how to tell Rarity. What if Rarity freaked out because she didn't like filly foolers. She thought of the possibilities. One was Rarity getting really mad and screaming at her telling her that she wasnt her friend anymore two was her accepting and hugging her. She went over her strategy in her head.

"Isn't there something that you want to tell me?" Rarity stated. Twilight looked shyly at her. What should she say what would happen if she said it? Maybe she shouldent. All of these thoughts went through her mind as Rarity looked at her.

"I have a secret. But you might be disgusted once I tell you." Twilight stuttered. Rarity shook her head and smiled.

"I could never be disgusted" Rarity said. Twilight thought for a minute. Rarity looked at her smiling. Twilight contemplated.

"Just say what's on your mind" Rarity said simply. Twilight hesitated, What if Rarity started to hate her because of the secret. She was at a loss on what to do.

"Will you judge me If I tell you?" Twilight asked. Rarity smiled and shook her head.

"Of course not. Just get it out of your system you will feel a lot better. She said. Twilight looked away shyly and took a deep breath.

"Rarity....." Twilight started. Rarity waited for her to say what ever she was going to say.

"I'm...gay" Twilight said tears filling her eyes. Twilight was sweating, Did she just loose a friend?
She waited. Rarity then spoke.

"So.....you like mares?" Rarity asked. Twilight was confused on how she could ask something so obvious after when she just told her.

"Yes! Please don't hate me!" Twilight said tears filling her eyes. Rarity spoke.

"Why would I hate you? I don't care who you like. Your a living being just like me. I would never hurt you over something like that.

"Is it wrong to be this way?" Twilight asked.

"Not to me no it's normal. To others it might be bad but not to me" Rairt said smiling.
Twilight sighed in relief. They both hugged.

"Have you come out to anybody else?" Rarity asked as they stopped hugging.

"I told my parents and they weren't so thrilled. I told Shining Armor and he became mad. I told Princess Celestia and she was extremely disappointed. I came out to Pinkie and she didn't care she told me that she was still my friend. I told Rainbow Dash and she didn't mind either. Applejack was angry but said she would possibly still hang out with me. I also told Luna and she said that she didn't care if I was gay and says she still loves me she doesn't understand why Celestia rejects me. I told Cadence and she said that love was love so she doesn't mind. So I was just worried about you since you like Canterlot and that's the same place that Celestia is and I was worried that you would be disgusted." Twilight told her.

"Well I'm not disgusted I know how hard that was for you thank you for telling me I just don't understand how your own parents and Shining Armor and mentor couldent accept you. I find it despicable. I kind of understand why Applejack was like that. I mean she's old fashioned so didn't you kind of expect that? Rarity told her.

"Yes I did. That was obvious before I came out but I had to tell her. I just don't understand my parents or Celestia though. The good news is is that Celestia won't banish me or anything she told me I can do whatever I want as long as I don't tell her about my relationships. Shinning Armour told me to be quiet he ignored me and didn't want to talk to me for the rest of the day which got me upset and Cadence confronted him on it which led into a big argument which Cadence won. How can they hate me? What did I do wrong? All's I am is a filly fooler. I'm not a monster I'm like every pony else. Don't they understand that don't they know how hard it is for me?" Twilight asked starting to tear up. She broke down sobbing. Rarity hugged her and proceeded to calm her down.

"No none of that. Come one relax its alright your safe and you feel loved with me. Calm down. Just calm down." Rarity cooed. Twilight started to relax. Her muscles stopped being tense but the tears still fell. Soon the tears stopped. They stayed silent for a while just listening to the silence. Rarity wiped Twilight's eyes with her hankerchief while smiling. Twilight listened to Raritys heart.

"Someday they will accept you Twilight so don't worry. Just give them time and they will see the mistakes they made and accept you. They still love you they don't hate you they are just trying to wrap their heads around why your so different. But your sexual orientation doesn't define you its how good an individual you are so relax. "She said smiling. Twilight contiued to hug her. Twilight took deep steady breaths. She was safe here with Rarity and she knew that.

After a few minutes Twilight was still there hugging Rarity but she didn't mind. Twilight could hug her all day If she wanted to. In fact Rarity liked this hug it was calming and she was glad Twilight was relaxed after she got that tough secret off her chest. She could imagine how much hate their was. She has heard of ponies being mean to the LGBT community but never really talked about it do to the fact that somepony might find offense. She has seen that Lyra and Bon Bon together and thought it was sweet.

Unfortunately they couldn't stay there all day so Rarity and Twilight both suggested that they could let go and they both did.

"Thanks Rarity. For everything. I really appreciate you listening to me and being paitent." Twilight said smiling.

"Your welcome I'm glad I could help you out. Come talk to me of you ever feel down or if something is on your mind and you need to get it out. That's what I'm here for that's what most of your friends are for just don't talk about it to Applejack. Someday though she will accept you so will Celestia and your parents. Rarity told her. Twilight nodded and smiled.

"Goodbye Rarity." Twilight said trotting home. Rarity smiled.

"Goodbye see you tomarrow." Rarity said.

Twilight smiled and trotted off to her house.

I wanted to do a story about the LGBT community so I picked the subject of coming out. People need to be educated about it.
