Before the idea of Equestria even entered the young minds of the Sisters, there lived a powerful Vampire Nation. It's reach spread from the north all the way down into what we know today as Equestria. But one day the Changeling Swarm attacked, and a Dark Era began for Paxenarc. For years they fought the Changeling Swarm, and finally ended the war by the passing of the Queen, Calcitrance. It seemed that peace would last a long while…until the accidental slaughter that the Border Patrol thought was changelings.
Equestria declares war, and soon the Vampire Nation, now only a large city three times bigger than Cantelot fights to save what little life it has left.
King Shadow Strings, current ruler of Paxenarc, received a vision from a soothsayer 200 years before the conflict of Equestria: Fires of Blue and Red will hail upon him, and the Night will suffocate him. The King, fearing for the worst, sent out an order to kill all twins and make sure that none are born.
Blood Star, a vampire noble in the Eq-Pax war, suspects something amiss is going n within the Government, and he intends to find out why. He believes that there is more going on in this war than just preserving Vampire Culture.
Astral Fang, also know as 'the Demonic Shadow' not only fights for Paxenarc, but fights against himself; an unknown power from somewhere is taking control of him, ruining any chance of a decent life. He murdered several soldiers, not on his free will, but yet no Military Guard had come to arrest him or hang him. Astral began to question why the government is letting him live.
When a life-changing event happen in both Blood and Astral's lives, their backs turn on Paxenarc and they become their own enemies. How will Blood and Astral solve this problem? Who will they go to?
