Rarity yawned as she trotted to the doors, closing the Boutique for the day. "My what a day it has been, I'm sure Twilight is looking out of her window at the twilight," Rarity said giggling at herself, she loved the ways she accidently joked. She tucked Sweetie Belle in and trotted off to bed, took off the covers and drifted into sleep. She had quite a strange dream, it contained Rarity being surrounded by her friends. Then she watched in horror as her friends burnt away from her, soon every ounce of joy swept out of her. And she was left alone forevermore. Suddenly a buzzing sound came, it was calling her and pulling her away. Rarity took her hoof out and tried to stop her alarm clock, she yawned as she got out of bed "Oh my! I did I just yawn!" she yelped . By the time she came out Sweetie Belle was already beginning to eat breakfast. "Why does it take you so long to do, well, everything?" Sweetie Belle asked "Because, dearie, royalty has its reasons!" Rarity explained placing her hoof on her chest and posing in front of Sweetie Belle. "But you're not royalty," Sweetie Belle said "Well I am friends with royalty and I must make sure to show her respect," Rarity explained "What do you mean, sis?" Sweetie Belle asked switching her face from silly to confused. "Oh Sweetie Belle, I won't fall for your silly prank this time," Rarity replied, ruffling the filly's mane with her hooves and then trotting off to her bedroom, leaving Sweetie Belle behind, confused and irritated. Rarity hummed to herself as she brushed her mane for the 73rd time and then after laying her hair brush down she thought about Sweetie Belle and what she said. When I looked into her eyes she looked as if she wasn't joking. How can she not know that I'm friends with Twilight? Nearly every pony in Ponyville know about my friendship with Princess Twilight, so how come Sweetie Belle... Oh, snap out of it Rarity the Crusaders are probably just playing a prank on me! Rarity kept on thinking about it until she finished breakfast, she waved goodbye to Sweetie Belle before heading back to the boutique to open it. Rarity's first customer of the day was Lyra, she wanted to get a dress that fitted with nature. When Rarity came back she held with her a dress. The dress had green and blue sequins on it and a pink gown. "Wow! That's even better than I imagined, I can't wait to wear it at Canterlot, they say that whatever clothes you wear over there are the same type that you wear at the grand galloping gala!" Lyra explained. "Oh, thank you!" Rarity said with delight. Hours had past and Rarity just finished giving her last customer a dress, she was already so worked out by the time to close the shop had finally arrived. "If only Spike was here instead of helping Princess Twilight with her organisation - wait what am I saying, Princess' have far more work than I have to deal with," she said. "Who's Princess Twilight?" a sudden voice said Rarity shrieked but she noticed that Sweetie Belle had entered the room and sighed "Sweetie Belle you of all ponies should known who Princess Twilight is, she's the Princess of Friendship!" She replied "What do you mean, sis? There are only three princess' in Equestria: Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Cadence. There's not a fourth princess of friendship," Sweetie Belle explained "Oh Sweetie Belle, you and your Crusader friends aren't going to try and trick me this time!" Rarity said as she got up and went to close up the boutique for the day. "Now you go to your room, I need to go to a meeting," Rarity said, she looked at the clock and waited until there was a knock on the door. Rarity opened the door and was relieved to find Fluttershy standing at her doorstep, "Oh Fluttershy, you came at last to fillysit Sweetie Belle," Rarity said "Actually Rarity, I came here to ask - " but Fluttershy couldn't finish what she was saying because Rarityleft the boutique in a hurry, she rushed off to the area where the castle should be but when she arrived she was extremely shocked. Instead of a grand castle, there was just a patch cable for grass laying silently on the ground. Had Rarity been dreaming this whole time or was it all real? Sweetie Belle looked strangely serious when she said that there were only three princess' in Equestria. Rarity didn't know what to do, then a light bulb just flicked inside her head. She sped off to Sugarcube Corner. When she knocked on the door Pinkie Pie opened the door "Oh hey Rarity, I'm sorry but Sugarcube Corner is closed right now because Mr and Mrs Cake are too busy delivering a huge order and I'm stuck here babysitting these two," Pinkie Pie explained "Pinkie Pie, you know of everypony in Ponyville, right?" Rarity asked "Yep, even Matilda," Pinkie Pie replied "So do you know of a pony named Twilight?" Rarity asked "Hmm a pony named Twilight... Urm no. Sorry Rarity," Pinkie Pie apologised and went back inside. Rarity walked away, she kept on walking until suddenly she remembered something. Rarity galloped away to the Golden Oak Tree Library, which was surprisingly still there. When she entered the Library no pony was inside, so she decided to look around the place. The whole Library was silent except the noises of hoofsteps from Rarity, she went to the balcony where the telescope was. Rarity looked through the telescope, looking across Ponyville. "Hello, Rarity," came a sudden voice, Rarity squeeled in fright. She turned around and was shocked to see Starlight Glimmer standing before her. "Starlight Glimmer! What are you doing here? Did you erase Twilight from Ponyville? Hey answer me!" Rarity yelled with anger "Don't worry, Twilight's happily living in Canterlot. I just changed time a little and made sure that Twilight's parents never assigned her to 'Celestia's school for gifted unicorns', all her 'friendship' this and 'frindship' that! It makes me want to scream!" Starlight Glimmer yelled "There's just one more thing I need to do," she explained, a sly smirk on her face. "If Twilight never came to Ponyville than she would never find the elements of harmony! All of Equestria will be destroyed because of you!" Rarity yelled, getting angrier by the minute. "I don't care! If she's not here and your 'friendship' was never created I would never have lost my perfect town. Friendship took everything away from me!" she screeched. Starlight's horn began to glow and Rarity knew at once that she was about to cast a spell. Rarity backed away, further from Starlight Glimmer and closer to the edge of the balcony, Starlight's horn began to glow brighter. Rarity was too worried about Starlight's spell to even think about falling off the balcony. There was a crack then Rarity screamed as she fell down the balcony, Starlight jumped down with Rarity and then they both vanished.

She looked around the place and discovered where she was. Ponyville? Why would Starlight teleport me all the way to Ponyville? Rarity thought. Her question was answered when she saw a filly come out of the School house, the filly had a white-coloured coat and a curly, purple mane. She travelled back in time. Starlight Glimmer was standing in front of the fences of the School house, Rarity trotted silently behind the fence . "What are you doing!?" Rarity questioned with frustration "Just trying to stop a new friendship from being born," Starlight Glimmer replied, a mischievous smile sneaking up her face. Filly-Applejack came out of the School House and was about to bump into filly-Rarity until suddenly everything stopped, Starlight Glimmer used her magic to levitate filly-Rarity to the side to make sure that they didn't meet. Then time carried on and Apple jack didn't meet filly-Rarity, instead she just trotted past filly-Rarity. Again time stopped "What did you just d-" but Rarity was blocked by a weight of pain, she put her hooves over her head and whined in pain."Your memory of ever meeting Applejack is being erased, but look on the bright side, you don't have to meet with that farm pony that you despise so much," Starlight Glimmer explained "Well then I think I'm done here, good luck handling with your memory loss," she said as she used her horn to go to a different time line. Rarity knew that she couldn't let Starlight tamper with her friendship so she just jumped into the portal. Starlight smiled to herself as she used her horn to float around the flight camp. She didn't notice Rarity coming out of the portal and landing on a piece of cloud I am so glad that I still have the effect of that cloud touching spell that Twilight cast on me. Rarity thought as she got up. She saw Fluttershy trying to fly then falling down and being bullied by other pegasus', she knew that bullying wrong but she didn't know what to do. "Hey, who are you and how are you able to sit on a cloud? I thought that only pegasi can touch clouds," sompony suddenly asked, Rarity turned around and was relieved to see Rainbow Dash. "I urm...," was all Rarity could say before getting blocked off "Hey, there's a pony being bullied! Sorry, no time for talk, time for action!"Rainbow Dash explained before zooming off to defend Fluttershy, just before Starlight Glimmer got there. Rarity was extremely relieved when the race to defend Fluttershies honour began, she was so into the race that she didn't even notice Starlight Glimmer staring at her. Rarity was amazed when the pegasus fulfilled the sonic rainboom, she cheered for Rainbow Dash when she won the race. When she turned around she saw Starlight Glimmer opening up a time portal and going in, Rarity took in a deep breath, jumped off the cloud and got sucked in. The next place she arrived in was covered in buildings. Canterlot. Everything was frozen, Why would Starlight Glimmer travel all the war here? Twilight didn't even meet with any of us in Canterlot, so why here? Rarity thought. "You may still have your memories, but let's see how you'll survive here!" somepony suddenly yelled, Rarity turned to see that a time portal had already opened up and was now closing. Rarity galloped across but didn't make it in time and the portal ssealed up. Rarity sighed and looked around the place, she didn't even know what time period she was in. "You seem lost, do you need any help?" somepony asked, the voice sounded old. "Urm, who are you?" Rarity asked, turning around "My name is Star Swirl," he answered "Star Swirl the bearded! I can't believe she'd go that far as to send me to this time period!" Rarity said with shock "Time period? Are you not of this time? Have you somehow managed to travel through time using my spell?" the bearded pony asked with interest "Well it's a long story, you see some pony else used your spell and added some adjustments to it so that she could go further back in time... " she continued explaining her story of how she arrived at the wrong time. "This seems like a much intriguing story, but I'm most surprised to find out that some pony else managed to somehow alter my time travel spell," he responded "Well some pony did and she plans to use that spell to erase friendship from Equestria! I'm not sure if I can even do anything right now," the mare said with frustration. "Well I should be able to create a new spell that'll allow you to go forwards in time and stop this villainous mare, but it will take some time." Star Swirls explained "But you may be of some use to help me create the spell, follow me, I will take you to my library," he finished before heading towards the direction of the castle. After a while of walking both unicorns were standing before the Canterlot Castle "You live in here!?" Rarity yelled. "Why yes, my friend Celestia has allowed me to use one of the libraries as a lab for spells," he explained before trotting off into the castle. Both ponies stopped in front of a door that leaded to an untidy room shelved with books, Star Swirl trotted into the room whilst Rarity stared open-mouthed at, what she believed, was an untidy room stuffed with books and scrolls. "Right then, now what I need you to do is to explain-" but Star Swirl couldn't finish because of Rarity accidentally toppled a tower of books over and made the bearded unicorn grumpy. He cleared his throat and caught the mares attention, "As I was saying, can you explain a few things to me?" he questioned with irritation "Oh y-yes of course," she replied, a little embarrassed. She trotted towards the desk where Star Swirl was and explained to him all the things he needed to know. "This spell is still not complete, I need more time, the alteration of time is a troublesome thing-" he continued to mutter random things to himself and left Rarity to wonder his library, glaring and reading many different spells that she never had even heard of. "Young mare," he called "Did you finish the spell?" "Not yet, there's something that is missing" "Oh, how long will it take?" "It could take a while," "Well, I need to go somewhere," "Which is?" Rarity didn't reply, she just left his 'laboratory' and trotted around the castle, curious about the different areas of the grand building. Unfortunately she didn't know her way around the castle and soon got lost until she bumped into one of the royal guards. "Is there anything that I can help you with?" the guard questioned "Well, I am a friend of Star Swirl the bear- Star Swirl-" she was blocked off by the guard explaining that Star Swirl had many friends. "Well, I'm a friend that is helping him with a spell and I just got lost so I'm wondering if you'd know where his library is," she demanded "Really?" he asked "Yes!" Rarity yelled, getting more irritated by the second. "Very well," the guard responded. He leaded Rarity to Star Swirls lab. When she arrived Star Swirl was too busy scribbling down things on scrolls to even notice her, he put down his quill then read what he wrote on the scroll. "Did you finish the spell now?" she asked "I'm nearly finished I just need to figure out what it is that I'm missing," he replied before muttering some strange words and then writing something else onto the scroll. Hours had gone by and it took Star Swirl a great deal of time to figure out what he was missing and place it into the spell. "I've done it!" he yelled, Rarity was reading a book on how to freeze something from your horn until she was disturbed by the sudden yell. "Did you finish the spell this time?" she asked "Why yes! You see all I had to do was-" "Yes, yes, yes, now how about giving me the spell so I could go back home!" but before she could even reach for it, it was levitated away from her "Why I never! All this hard work and I don't even get a thank you!" he said, Rarity sighed "Thank you for you hard work and generosity," then a thought had struck her "Star Swirl, why is it that I can still remember my friends and our enemies? Didn't Starlight manage to stop my other friends from meeting each other?" "I'm not so sure maybe because when you were whining in pain you jumped into a time portal, that must have somehow managed to stop you from forgetting. Because you travelled through time whilst losing your memories," "I guess so, wait I need to quickly find out what changes Starlight Glimmer has done!" she yelled before grabbing the scroll with her magic. "Okay then let's see... So, what do I do now?" she asked "You must set the spell on a time and place that you wish to go to and a time portal will appear," he explained "Okay, urm 'When time flicks by, the birds will fly, but when time is changed, the future shall re-arrange.' This is just a rhyme, I don't see how it took you this long to figure it o-" but Rarity was blocked by a sudden time portal that had appeared right above her, it swallowed her whole before disappearing into nothingness. The old unicorn turned back to his desk "Now let's see, a story about six friends saving Equestria with their magic!" Star Swirl yelled "This story shall be quite the interest," he finished before taking out a parchment.

She looked around and knew at once that her time travel trip had been accomplished. Ponyville. Yet something was different, but what? Rarity trotted around Why is it so silent? Where did every pony go and why are there cries coming from near Fluttershy's cottage? she wondered, trotting closer as the sobs became clearer. Soon she was right in front of Fluttershy's cottage and knocked on her door, there was no answer. She knocked again, but there was still no answer. Just then Rarity noticed that the cries she had heard before had disappeared, in replace of it was the wind rushing between her mane. What is going on? she thought as she trotted around Fluttershy's cottage, though after a while Rarity still couldn't find Fluttershy. She decided to leave the cottage in search of another pony but just as she crossed the bridge there was a squeal and after that crash, Rarity turned around and was surprised to see Fluttershy. "Flutter shy, what happened?" Rarity asked, Flutteshy squealed again "Y-you know my name!" she yelled "Of course I know your name your my fr- I mean I heard about your relationship with animals. I just came by to ask two questions. Why were you crying? And where is every pony? Answer the second one first," "What you don't know?" "Know what?" "About the invasion," "I-INVASION!!" "Yes, Nightmare Moon had come back after a thousand years and took a hold of the land, no pony was able to stop her. Then Discord came after being revived by Nightmare Moon and went by her side. These strange black creatures soon came but left after, I don't know why." Probably because there's not enough love for them to even feed on Rarity thought "After that King Sombra had rised and ruled over a kingdom called the Crystal Empire. Then these strange plants just grew out of the ground and started to attack ponies, Discord found out that he could control them and used them as punishment for ponies. Finally came the most terrifying of all, Lord Tirek, he can take away the magic, flight or strength from ponies. We've been living under the rule of all of them for a while now, it's all too frightening," Fluttershy continued "Us ponies from Ponyville have managed to flee from our town and escape into th-the Everfree Forest. But I accidentally left Angel behind and I'm sure that the shadow knights took him! Oh, he must be frightened to death right now!" she yelled. Whilst Fluttershy was talking to Rarity, Angel was too busy hiding underground with Fluttershy and helping herself to some carrots. "I'm so sorry darling, I wish I could help but I just came from the past and I have no info on anything except what happened to Equestria!" Rarity explained without thinking. "Urm what I mean is..." "Oh, I believe you," "Y-you do!" "Why yes! As a matter of fact, I think I can take you to the , you'd be a great use to me there," "Wh-what?" Rarity backed away, she didn't like the way Fluttershy began to talk. "What's wrong dearie, didn't you say that you wished you could help," she maliciously asked "Y-yes, but I-" "I know of a way that you can help me," Fluttershy grinned as she stepped towards the mare. Suddenly, a green pillar of light appeared out of nowhere on the place where Fluttershy was standing. Queen Chrysalis stood before Rarity. "B-but I thought that you all left!" Rarity yelled with shock "Yes, the best piece of information that you had learnt from me," Queen Chrysalis said, stepping forward, She must have tricked me! Rarity thought. A green glow appeared on her horn and Rarity knew at once that she had to run, but she was struck with fear and couldn't move an inch. The green glow grew brighter. But a sudden boom made the glow fade away, there was silence then something was thrown out from the Everfree Forest and landed in between the Changeling and the mare, the strange object exploded like a bomb and smoke devoured the air. Rarity began to cough as the smoke spread further, then she felt like she was being lifted and noticed that some pony else was carrying her away. When Rarity was out of reach from Queen Chrysalis the pony that had carried her had stopped moving and placed Rarity back on the ground. "Who are you?" Rarity asked she placed her hoof above her eyes to remove the sun's shade to see two ponies standing before her. "I'd like to ask you the same thing and what in Equestria you were doing back there?" the pony replied, Rarity remembered this voice of a female earth pony. "Applejack!?" Rarity said, not answering the earth pony's question. "Hey, how'd you know my name?" she questioned "It's a long story, but where is every pony? I thought that you all escaped into this forest," "We did, just not this part, follow us. Oh yeah, and you have to put this mud on yourself to prove that your not a changeling," another voice explained "Urm.." Rarity "Colgate, now come on!" Colgate ushered Rarity over to her to place the mud onto her. Soon after all the trouble of applying the mud on Rarity's face the three ponies trotted off in one direction, Colgate and Applejack kept on looking around themselves to see if anyone was following them. When they arrived Rarity was extremely shocked to see a village that wasn't exactly like Ponyville, but the ponies in it seemed to act as if there was no invasion and that they were still in Ponyville. "Why is every pony acting like they're still in Ponyville?" Rarity asked "They're all trying to forget about it all and act as if there was no invasion," Applejack responded before dragging Rarity over to a nearby hut. "We got a new one 'ere!" she suddenly yelled, then she shoved Rarity into the hut and led her to a zebra, with a cutie mark? "Zecora!" Rarity suddenly yelled "You're confusin' me by the second," Applejack murmured "Zecora! This mare was saved from nearly bein' captured by Crysalis, that royal changeling wanted to capture her and said somethin' about time travel," she finished "So you are a pony that is not of this time?" questioned the zebra curiously "Well yes, I mean no I mean, well I'm not really sure. You see this mare captured me and..." Rarity continued telling her intriguing tale of how she managed to accomplish time travel. "Hmm, so this Starlight Glimmer is the very reason why we are in this dilemma, so it seems that we must help you to go back in time and fix those problems that your enemy has caused," Zecora explained "Well I guess so, but how are you able to not rhyme?" "In a cause to make a potion an accident had occurred and the potion ended up spilling over me, now I am no normal zebra, the potion must have caused some side effects such as the cutie mark," she replied before going to a stack of books. Rarity thought that it was unusual for her to have a cutie mark but when everything was normal she remembered that Zecora still had a cutie mark. "Ah, here is the one, this is the book that may help 'Star Swirl's unique guide to time travel', it explains the way to travel back and forward in time. In this book there is also a message that I think the great unicorn wanted to try and send to you," Zecora said before handi- hooving over the book to Rarity. Rarity rapidly opened the book, eager to see the message that Star Swirl had tried to send to her: I would like to thank a certain young mare, for she had inspired and helped me to continue with this spell. I believe that she will one day be a hero to us all and I am sure that day will come. Rarity was most shocked to find out that Star Swirl managed to send a message from the past to her! She knew at once that she had to stop Starlight glimmer from erasing friendships future. "But how am I going to stop her if I don't even know which time period she's in?" Rarity asked after the few minutes of silence "She's got more understanding of spells than me plus she uses her magic to fly around so I won't be able to catch her so easily," she said "I may be able to teach you a few spells that may help you," the zebra responded. Rarity was told to come to Zecora's hut everyday to learn and practice new spells. Her first spell was the freeze shot, she needed to focus her energy on that one object that she wanted to freeze and feel herself get cold at the same time. Rarity managed to understand the spell in two days but still used her spare time to perfect it. The next one up was the floating spell that Starlight Glimmer used, Rarity had to feel herself levitating up and controlling herself at the same time. It took Rarity two days to fully master the spell, it was quite an easy spell to understand since Rarity used her magic to levitate many other things. After that spell was the illusion spell, she had to think of a way to trick Starlight Glimmer and allow that type of imagination to come out. I took her three and a half days to understand the illusion spell. Then came the truth spell, Rarity had to think of a question for the pony she cast a spell on and imagine that pony is under her control. Rarity spent two and a half days to master this spell. Soon came the personality spell, Rarity had to think of any type of personality and then blast it into the heart of the pony that she wanted to change the personality of, making the pony temporarily act as that personality. It took her three days to fully understand this spell. Finally came the hardest of all: the counter spell. Rarity had to have another unicorn cast a harmless spell on her and she had to think of herself as the one casting the spell so that she could deflect it back. Rarity managed to accomplish this spell in five days. After a a week and four days, Rarity was able to finish off the spells that Zecora had taught her. Tomorrow I'll be going back Rarity thought I should probably give them all something as a token of my gratitude, for helping me. then another voice arrived in her head Changing time is your token of gratitude! Forget about giving them something else! No! You must give them something else, in return for teaching you new spells, caring for you, watching out for you, I'm sure that when you change time they might not even have what you gave them, but you should still- You're going to save Equestria, no point in wasting your time on that! Now Rarity made her decision. The next day the moon was still in the sky like it had always been. When Applejack came to see Rarity she had found out that Rarity wasn't in bed. She searched the place for her but still couldn't find the unicorn. "What in Equestria's goin' on here?" "We must search for her!" proclaimed Zecora. Soon both the farm pony and the zebra were searching for the missing mare. Meanwhile Rarity was too busy searching for something precious to give to her friends. "What is there that I can find for them in this place?" Rarity whined, she trotted around the forest for for a while before entering what was left of Ponyville, "Maybe there's something around here! Why didn't I think of that before?". She searched through the broken town for a memento that was worth keeping, in the end all she found were bits of broken wood and destroyed flower beds. She met the Golden Oak Tree Library and thought that there may be something interesting in there. Let's see: History of Equestria by night flame, Guide to potion making vol.2, lecture on the two sisters - Wait the castle of the two sisters there could be something in there! Rarity thought, she galloped back into the Everfree Forest just before Zecora and Applejack came out "We might as well search here," Applejack suggested. Rarity dodged branches and jumped over mud puddles, she shrieked when she nearly stepped on a hoof-sized mud puddle. "I wonder what I should get from there, probably that old tapestry," she said as she sped along the forest, until she saw a bridge. When she entered the castle scary emotions began to creep up and around her skin, she knew that it was in ruins and it would obviously scare her but she still couldn't help it. The castle was full of old treasures that had caught Rarity's eyes but she knew she was her for more important reasons and kept on searching for something special. Soon after a while of searching she finally found it, 'The United Tapestry'. The top triangle symbolised unicorns the left triangle symbolised Pegasus and the right triangle symbolised the earth ponies. In the centre of it all was the Equestria symbol, "Perfect,". Rarity used her floating spell to reach the top of the ancient tapestry and used her magic to lift it up, once she lifted one side off she took the other one off. Finally the whole tapestry landed onto the floor with a thud and a crack, Rarity remembered that the castle was very old and it was practically falling apart. So she gently lifted up the tapestry CRACK, gently CRACK, gent - Oh who cares just lift it up! Soon after all that mess with the tapestry Rarity managed to survive the crooked floorboards and escape the castle. When she returned to the village the other ponies were surprised to see her there because they all thought that she had been pony napped by the changelings. Rarity cheerfully trotted to Zecora's hut and placed the ancient tapestry on the table. "Well we searched the place for her but still nothing, it's obvious that she's been taken by the changelings. Oh, hey Rarity! So I think we ought to tell, wait, Rarity!" Applejack turned to see an excited Rarity standing in Zecora's hut. "Surprise!" Rarity yelled, she stepped back to reveal an old tapestry lying silently on the table, awaiting for the two's arrival. "Rarity! Where were you? We thought you were captured by the changelings!" Applejack said "Oh, no, no, no! I was too busy getting this," Rarity pointed towards the tapestry. They were both surprised to see it there and was most amazed to think that Rarity was able to get away with this. "We will take proper care of this to remember you," Zecora said, calming down already, "I believe that now is the time for you to go," Zecora suddenly ordered. "Can't I stay for just a bit longer," Rarity begged throwing out her best puppy-dog eyes at the zebra, yet nothing seemed to work. "Believe that bringing back Equestria, is you top priority," Zecora explained, she turned around and led Rarity to the other ponies who were wondering what was going on. Rarity sighed, she really was going to miss being here, but she knew that she had to bring back the real Equestria for the sake of all the ponies that were being ruled over by the cruelty of the enemies. Rarity took her 'guide to time travel' book into her saddle bag, said her goodbyes and lit up her horn. She read out the words to allow herself to go to the correct time and into the time portal.

Ponies were busy buying groceries from the market and digging themselves into sugary delights at Sugarcube Corner, she saw herself trotting into the boutique - Wait what! Rarity turned to see that the boutique had closed before she could check if she was seeing things, she began to get worried as soon as she saw herself "Is that how my mane really looks like from the back?" she asked herself. Rarity went all around Ponyville and didn't see anything suspicious yet. What am I doing? How could I have forgotten that the trouble all starts on the summer sun celebration! she thought without noticing that her present-self was trotting out of the boutique. She accidentally tripped over a stone when she was thinking of what to do until the summer sun celebration came and saw her present-self locking the doors to the boutique. She got up and looked around for a hiding place before herself or any pony else for that matter noticed two Rarity's. She jumped behind a bench before present-Rarity was able to spot her, after that fiasco Rarity thought that she had better wear something before this trouble would happen again. But suddenly Rarity felt the strange feeling that she was being watched and turned around to see a white coated filly standing before her "Watcha' doing sis?" Sweetie Belle asked curiously "U-urm," Rarity couldn't really explain herself "You look a little lost, did you see a ghost? If you did, can I come and see it to?" asked Sweetie Belle, her eyes gleaming with hope "U-urm, no. I did not see a ghost." Rarity finally said "So why are you looking so worried?" questioned Sweetie Belle "W-well... Do you know when the summer sun celebration will arrive?" asked Rarity who completely changed the subject "It's going to come the day after tomorrow," Sweetie Belle replied "Oh is that so? Guess I'll have to hurry up," Rarity muttered "Hurry up on what?" the filly questioned in an interrogating way "On my dresses! I must finish them off before the summer sun celebration," Rarity lied as the filly's ears drooped "Oh. Well if you see a ghost, don't forget to call the crusaders! We're pro's at ghost hunting!" Sweetie Belle said and went off into the crowded little town. Since Rarity couldn't keep hiding from herself anymore, she decided to make herself look more different. She shaped her mane into a sort of bun to look posh since she loved to be posh and died her mane temporarily into the colour of blue. She thought that she might as well get some clothes from her own boutique, thinking that it would be a bit fun. She entered the boutique and instead of giggling she just stood there, she felt a little awkward to be standing in her own boutique as a customer. "Hello there, which dress would you like to buy?" present-Rarity asked, Rarity stood there not answering the unicorns question and staring at the scene that was surrounding her. "Is there something wrong?" present-Rarity asked, confused by how her customer stared "No, no, no-" "Oh I understand, you're a new pony here and you're obviously amazed by my design. Well how about you have little look around and we'll see which dress suits you the most," present-Rarity blocked, Rarity couldn't think of a better reason for staring so awkwardly at the boutique and so agreed to present-Rarity's suggestion. They both looked at dress with spectacular designs like a blue dress that had green sequins to match the ocean and a green dress with a blue trailing, but in the end Rarity decided to pick nothing as she couldn't decide on what to wear. "Come back any time! Wait, what is your name?" present-Rarity asked, Rarity stopped in her tracks and remembered that she didn't think of a name to disguise herself with. "Well my name is..." Rarity didn't know what to do and just mumbled some gibberish and left. "Good, bye?" said present-Rarity. Rarity darted to the golden oak tree library and slammed the door shut. She couldn't wait until it was the summer sun celebration, it was just too exhausting when you're trying to save Equestria all by yourself. She looked around herself and sat on the floor, although it was unlady-like Rarity seemed to be too exhausted to go all the way upstairs. She got back up before looking around at all the books that had surrounded her, she hated having to do this by herself. The next day looked like the pegasus's were going to make it rain that day, so every pony stayed in their homes until there weren't anymore raindrops. Rarity on the other hand seemed to have missed going outside because there was barely anything she could do in here other than read, "Is there anything else Twilight does in her spare time?". She trotted around the book shelves, looking at some of the books that caught her eye and placing them back to where they came form when they turned out to be something less interesting. She entered the underground lab and wondered around at the many astonishing objects that lay there, eventually Rarity began to get bored at the strange machinery and went back upstairs. The mare sat on the bed and looked out the window at the drooping weather "Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to just look further outside," Rarity leant closer to the window and got amazed at the sight, she leant in a little closer until she decided to open the window to get a good view, completely forgetting about the rain. She used her horn to open the window but when she opened it just about a centimetre wide the window burst open and rain flooded into the library. Rarity screeched and slammed the window shut with her magic, "Maybe I should just get some rest," she said to herself. For the rest of the day Rarity slept in and dreamt of something fearful. She dreamt of herself being trapped in tartarus for going against the enemies and being executed for her bad attitude towards them. On the day of her execution many ponies came to see her die in pain and also threw tomatoes and veggies at her, believing that she was the true enemy that was trying to destroy Equestria from within. The Executer placed Rarity's head on the table and got ready, he brought it high up and slammed it down. Rarity screamed as she woke up a four hours later from her dream "Oh my, that was a truly dreadful nightmare, the summer sun celebration! I'd better get ready for it," but before Rarity could go downstairs she heard hoovesteps then the door opening. "Well I'd better get ready before Twilight gets here!" the earth pony yelled, rarity looked down and saw Pinkie Pie preparing for Twilights welcome-to-Ponyville party, "I'd better get out of here quick," she said and looked around for an escape route. She noticed that the window lay open. "Ooh, maybe I should decorate the bedroom upstairs!" Pinkie Pie suggested, she trotted up the stairs and looked around, the room had a bookshelf and a cuckoo clock with a bed. "Hmm, maybe I should place some banners here and a few streamers here and..." Pinkie Pie bounced around the room spraying colour all over it. "My mane! Oh! This is not how I want to live!" Rarity whined, she used her magic to pull out a twig from her mane. Rarity stood up and looked through the main door, she saw Pinkie Pie jumping around Twilight's soon-to-be bedroom upstairs. "Alright Rarity, try to remember what happened on the summer sun celebration. So Princess Celestia was missing and Twilight and the others went to find the elements of harmony, well that's it. I'm going to have to wait until tonight!" Rarity suggested. Rarity was reading her time travel book when she stopped after seeing Fluttershy carrying Spike into the library then Twilight shoving her out. Rarity stared through the window and giggled at how Twilight reacted when she found out that she accidentally ate hot sauce. Twilight tore all the banners and streamers then slumped on her bed, Twilight began to get sleepy and closed her eyes before laying her head on her pillow. Rarity entered the library and spent hours there partying and hiding from her present-self, when the eve of the summer sun celebration came Spike went to Twilight's bedroom with what he thought as a hat on his head. Rarity still remembered her occurrence here and remained in the shadows so no pony would notice two Rarity's. She stood at the back of the crowd and listened to the soothing tune that the birds sang, the mayor of Ponyville finished her speech she stepped back for the Princess to reveal herself. There were many gasps after that, Princess Celestia had vanished completely from her spot. A little while later a blue, glittery smoke began to appear and after that a navy-coloured alicorn stood in its place. Nightmare Moon had finally arrived. "Oh, my beloved subjects. It has been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces," she said, Rainbow Dash was about to swoop up and grab her but she was blocked by Applejack. "Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?" She asked all the ponies. Rarity suddenly remembered that she had to go to the elements of harmony before her friends could, so she dashed off to the Everfree Forest. Finally Rarity got to her destination before Nightmare Moon and could. But when she entered ancient room that holds the elements of harmony, there stood Starlight Glimmer. "What in Equestria are you doing here?" Rarity questioned her. "Just stealing the elements of harmony," she replied "And what makes you think that you can do that?" Rarity said "Because I can," Starlight turned to the elements and levitated them to herself, Rarity was about to shoot a freeze ray but was knocked out by a spell that Starlight Glimmer cast which made her hooves feel slippery. Starlight went straight past her and nearly got to the staircase until she slipped over a rock and smacked her face on the floor. "I wish I had a camera for that!" Rarity murmured, she saw that Starlight had dropped the elements and used her magic to levitate them over to her side. Starlight stood back up again and noticed that the elements were gone, she turned around and saw Rarity carefully drinking up whilst holding the elements. Starlight got her horn at the ready but before she could cast the spell she was blasted back6b6 a personality spell. Rarity made sure to make Starlight a kind pony so that she could take away the slippery spell that was stuck to her. "All right now that I'm free from that spell, you can - Oh no, the fog, wait here I need to place these back to where they belong," Rarity explained. She quickly placed the stone spheres to where she thought they were supposed to be on then, forgetting about Starlight, she galloped out a few seconds before the mane six began to cross the bridge. Starlight, however, woke out of her spell and travelled to a different time in anger. After the day of the summer sun celebration, (for Rarity wanted to stay) Rarity finished reading a page of her time travel book and then began to cast the spell behind the boutique. But unfortunately, she was interrupted by some pony: "Hey, if your Rarity-" said mares voice "Then who am I?" another blocked "No, Pinkie, if she's Rarity then who was that white-coated and purple-maned mare who entered the boutique?" Rainbow finished "Oh yeah, so how'd you do it Rarity?" Pinkie Pie asked "Urr, lightning speed," Rarity lied "Pa-lease, as if you're faster than me," Rainbow boasted "So what are you doing here anyway?" she asked "Just feeling the air," she continued to lie "Okay then but did you remember what we did yesterday? We were totally awesome! From barely knowing each other, to becoming heroes to Equestria! It's like I was born for this," Rainbow said "Anyway, see ya!" she yelled back as due and Pinkie Pie left. Rarity sighed in relief, she hoped that she wouldn't have much problems in the next time period. Rarity concentrated on her spell for time travel, then she vanished into a portal. "I'm telling you, Rare, we just finished talking to you back there, how is it that you remember talking to Twilight instead?" Rainbow asked.

"I was expecting to land somewhere else in Sweet Apple Acres," she said, the unicorn trotted across the Orchard then she stopped when saw popcorn coming out of the sweetcorn. "Well at least I know I'm in the right time," she watched as Twilight cast her spell and nothing happened, Rarity stay hidden in the pile of popcorn until herself and her friends had gone. "I suggest they're going to Canterlot," Rarity knew that she had to head off to the Palace labyrinth. When she finally arrived at the Palace labyrinth, she searched for any sign of Starlight Glimmer, but she was nowhere to be found. Rarity searched around the labyrinth even behind the statues, eventually her friends had come to the labyrinth and she was out of time. She saw them being split up and spreaded across the labyrinth. Rarity used her floating spell to see if there were any changes made, but there was nothing really strange going on. Well except the fact that Applejack had talked to the apples and Pinkie Pie had chatted to a balloon, wait that's no different to how Pinkie usually acts. The labyrinth disappeared and in its place stood a large crater, Discord laughed at the arguing ex-friends. Rarity growled at him, she still believed that Discord was not fully reformed by Fluttershy and still caused chaos. Twilight and her friends began the journey back to Ponyville, which surprisingly took longer than expected. The road got covered in soap and the sky switched from day to night, it was complete chaos-wait, of course it is. When they got to the library, Twilight begged for her friends to go in and carried Tom (Rarity's rock) in. Rarity watched through the window at them, they fought each other for the elements of harmony reference guide. Twilight managed to catch the book and find the elements, but Rarity knew what would happen next. Discord laughed at the mane six, their plan didn't work in the end and they all split up. The unicorn entered the library, she didn't understand why the elements didn't work but didn't even care about that. She began to pack up and ordered Spike to do so as well, Rarity watched and felt as if something was missing. Twilight packed up some of her books at the same time that Rarity remembered it. "Oh no! Twilight told me that Princess Celestia sent her many letters to remind her and give clues about Discord true intentions! If those letters aren't sent then, then Twilight won't know his plans and our friendship could be broken! I cannot let this happen, but what?" Rarity thought of what she should do. When she saw Twilight closing up one of her bags, Rarity couldn't take it anymore and just decided to give Twilight the answer straight away. Rarity looked through the the window and saw a little pile of spare parchments lying around, Twilight left the room to go look for, Rarity used this as her chance to sneak in and take one of those parchments. Twilight wouldn't miss it, besides, Rarity is going to do something good with it. She also took one of Twilight's quills, looked at the door, the floated do a desk and wrote on the parchment. "There, now I just need to find a war to give this to Twilight," she heard Spike and Twilight coming in "I'm telling you Twilight, I still think that you should reason with them," Spike suggested. Rarity felt as dumb as an elephant, "Of course I'm in Twilight's home, I can easily give it to her!" he said she said. She heard hoovesteps coming closer to her. "Yeah but no matter what I do, they never listen. Wait, why is one of my parchments all the way over here? Hang on a sec, it's letter." Twilight said "Well, what's it say?" Spike asked "It says: 'Discord has probably made you split apart on purpose so that you couldn' t use the elements. Their memories are the key!' I don't-No, I think it means I must cast a memory sell on the others," she suggested. Rarity made sure to follow Twilight around Ponyville, hiding in the shadows, staring through windows to make sure that nothing would go wrong. Eventually Twilight and her friends had to go up in a balloon to catch Rainbow Dash, Rarity floated up with her spell and saw her friends darting towards Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy pulled the balloon forwards but she still couldn't catch up to Rarity and Pinkie Pie, Rarity herself thought of this as a little more entertaining when she saw it from here. Twilight yelled at Fluttershy about how Discord could win which was able to make her speed increase, they were able to catch up with Rainbow Dash and then Applejack used the rope to hold he in place. The memory spell was cast on Rainbow Dash and now they were all back to normal. They all went to Discord throne so that they can surprise him with their elements. But something was wrong. Discord wasn't on his throne. "Where could he be?" Rarity asked "I don't know, but I think that the only thing we can do is search for him in Ponyville," Twilight explained. Applejack searched all of Sweet Apple Acres, through the orchard, behind the barn, inside the apple cellar, but there was nothing in there other than dancing apples. Rarity looked through her boutique, (she would be enraged if Discord was there) fortunately for her and unfortunately for her friends she couldn't find him there. Twilight searched, in detail, throughout the library: in the bookcases (though there's in no way he'd be in there), through her bedroom, in the kitchen, yet there wasn't even a clue. Pinkie Pie looked inside Sugarcube Corner, mostly spending her time eating cakes, and using her magnifying glass to act like a detective. She accidentally slipped and dropped her cupcake, which splatted all over her detective hat. Rainbow Dash flew across Ponyville in lightning speed, she looked over houses and in corners, on the edge of town, and underneath flying buildings, but still nothing. She looked from above if there was any suspicious things going on, there was nothing strange other than chaos. Flutter shy asked her animal friends if they could search for him, (she could only talk to some of them since the others had gone chaotic) they all pitched in on finding him. "Find anything, even a clue?" Twilight asked hopefully "Nope, nothin'," Applejack replied "My little critter friends couldn't find him either," Fluttershy added "So what now? He could be anywhere in Equestria by now," Rainbow Dash said, that was when a sudden suggestion popped up in all of their heads. "Canterlot!" they chorused. Meanwhile Rarity had already figured out about where to go (since she watched all of them hunt for Discord). When she got to Canterlot she figured that she had been correct, ponies were flying everywhere, buildings had gone all jelly-like and the road was moving by itself. "Oh my," Rarity said in shock, the palace was even worse. The towers swayed from side to side, the doors opened and closed continuously, the guards kept on bouncing around and the chocolate milk rain covered it all in puddles of chocolate milk. She literally dualed the doors just to get inside. When she managed to get inside the palace, there were dancing armours and it seemed as if they had been turned to life. The corridors were filled with apple pie, Rarity had to doge most of them to get to the throne room. She was able to survive the journey to the throne room where she found out about what had happened. Discord sat on Celestia's throne with Starlight Glimmer at his side, his eyes were spirallinghwhich proved that he was hypnotised. "Well you took your time," Starlight said "Zip it! What have you done to Discord, never thought I'd say that," Rarity questioned her "I was sort of hoping that you'd find me quicker," Starlight commented "You've hypnotised him haven't you, he needs to be back there!" Rarity yelled "Of course he needs to be back there, but I can't allows that. Discord here is my little puppet," she said "I don't really care about puppet shows right now, you know that my friends will come and turn him into stone," Rarity reminded her "Well then I'll be here to stop them, as for you, well I can't let you go free just like that," Starlight began to trot towards Rarity and Rarity took a step back whilst gathering her energy for a spell. "Aruno!" Starlight yelled, her horn started to glow and she cast a spell at Rarity, but before the spell could get to her Rarity cast a counter spell and deflected it back to Starlight Glimmer. Starlight vanished, "I wonder where she went, wait, no I don't!" Rarity went to Discord and saw that he was still hypnotised. "I order you to break out of this hypnotism spell when I say now!" Rarity ordered, she heard other voi "Come on! I don't think we've checked the throne room!" was obviously Twilight's voice. Rarity opened up a time portal and before she got sucked in she yelled "Now!" and Discord fell out of his trance and was confused at how he ended up in the throne room and even more confused at how the mane six were all colourful. "Hey how did that white unicorn get there?" he yelled.
The changeling invasionView OnlineForwards to an unfortunate futureThe changeling invasionWhen the mare landed, she noticed that she didn't feel the rocky hard ground, nor did she feel the swaying breeze of the wind. She didn't have any blades of grass tickling her furry as well, so where was she? Rarity could feel something smooth and furry instead, then she noticed that she wasn't outdoors. She was indoors. She looked around, there were coats of armours surrounding her and fascinating paintings implanted onto the walls. "I must be in Canterlot Castle," she walked through the corridors and stared into all kinds of rooms. "I hope I didn't place myself in the wrong time!" Rarity continued on trotting across the hallways, just when she was about to give up, there was a loud bang. She galloped to where she heard the bang from, when she did get there she found out that she was a little more forwards in time. Through the door she could see Celestia being cocooned in some green shell (she nearly vomited at the sight of it), Shining Armour under Queen Chrysalis' control and the mane six surrounded by changelings. "I really need to improve on my spells, it seems like I've gone too forwards in time." When Rarity looked closer inside, Princess Cadence looked dizzy and dumb. It was like she was under some sort of spell. Oh no thought Rarity, she knew what she had to do next but she didn't know how to do it. Cadence and Shining Armour were all the way at the end of the and half the room was already covered in black. Rarity thought hard on what to do, she couldn't just gallop in and save the day, one of the changeling's would obviously be able to capture her. Plus, it would be weird if another Rarity suddenly jumped into the room. She tried to think of another way to get to Cadence without being spotted, then once again the window was there for her. Queen Chrysalis ordered for her subjects to go outside nd terrorise the ponies of Canterlot, Rarity used this as a chance to get to Cadence. After hiding behind the doors when the changelings left, she teleported outside the window. Rarity held herself up with the floating spell and looked through the glass, Cadence stood there blindly and Queen Chrysalis admired the destruction outside. "Did Starlight do that, or Queen Chrysalis?" Inside Rarity thought of different ways to knock Cadence out of the spell "Wait a second, who do I have to knock out of the spell. Wait a second, second I have to knock Cadence out! Well ladies first, all I need is for something to hit her with..." She searched around the place and even floated herself down a little to look closely, in the end she found eleven pebbles and rocks. The unicorn floated herself back to up and looked through the the window, everything was the same as last time she checked. Rarity threw a pebble but it missed and hit Queen Chrysalis on the side, "Who did that?!" she screeched "Was it you? You will pay for that you puny pony!" her horn began to glow and then Pinkie Pie got squeezed into a ball. She giggled at herself, "Look at me, I'm a bouncy ball!" she said, Pinkie tried to move but couldn't do anything but roll "Hehe, looks like I can't move, urr, little help here guys." Rarity threw another one but this time it hit Twilight's forehoove "Ow, who did that?" she asked, the other ponies just shrugged. Twilight wiggled her hoof then looked back at Cadence "What are we going to do? I can't reach Cadence the from here and if I walk to her, well, her royal blackness will obviously notice me!" "Can't you just use one of your spells to free her?" Rainbow whispered "I don't know any spell to break her out of a trance!" Twilight replied "And besides, Queen Chrysalis cast a wall that can block any spell! Looks like there really isn't a way out of this," she finished. But of course she didn't know that a time-travelling mare was outside, trying to save them. "Third time's the charm!" she threw another pebble which unfortunately hit Shining Armours ear, "Looks like I have no charm." Rarity threw another pebble which hit Pinkie (who apparently was a ball) and made her roll over. "What's with all of us getting hit today!" Applejack said "Yeah, so can one of you turn me back around?" Pinkie asked, Rainbow Dash picked her up "Hey, I have an idea! Why don't we throw Pinkie at Cadence, then we'll knock her out of the trance," Rainbow suggested, she began to aim at Cadence but was blocked when Twilight levitated Pinkie off her hoof. "It wouldn't work, only a spell can break that trance plus it would be rude for us to throw a friend at a princess!" then her expression changed to confused "Even though Pinkie's a balI, it kinda sounds weird saying 'throw a friend'." When Twilight finished, Rarity dropped her pebbles onto the ground "What a waist of time!" she yelled. When the pebbles reached the ground they clattered all over it, which made it sound as if the pegasi had covered the sky with rain clouds. "Oh no! Is it raining today? Oh, my mane will be covered in filth!" present-Rarity squealed "You do know that we're indoors, right?" Applejack said "Of course I knew that I mean I was a... Urm, just testing you," she lied "Whatevs... " Meanwhile Rarity floated outside thinking of a way to break Cadence out of her trance, "I need to think of a way to bounce that trance spell of the Princess, but how?" she continued to think. Breaking a trance would be extremely hard for her, if she only knew a spell that could deflect a spell off a pony. If only she knew of a spell that could remove spells of a pony, if only- "I've got it!" she screamed "Did you hear something?" Present-Rarity asked "Probably just your imagination," Twilight replied "I really need to be more cautious," Rarity thought. She placed her forehoof on her chest then stretched and breathed out, she had thought of a plan, she just hoped it worked. Rarity stared straight into the eyes of Cadence anedtried to think like Chrysalis, it was hard for Rarity to think like a villain but in the end she managed to do it. Her glowed the usual light blue colour, then she took a deep breath, and imagined herself casting a trance on the Princess. Her horn grew brighter which signaled to her that the spell was working, she finally made Cadence's eyes glow the same colour as her aura and broke the trance. Rarity took a final, relieved deep breath. She completed the counter spell. Cadence looked around herself "What's going on?" "Just wait a few seconds it'll get to you," Twilight replied. A few seconds later Cadence regained her memory, "Now I remember! Chrysalis to over Canterlot then, then she cast a spell on me... What happened after that?" she asked "Well you were in a trance just like Twilight's big bro and whilst you were in a trance the changelings invaded Canterlot and we were stuck here trying to figure out how to free you both," Pinkie explained "Shining Armour?" Cadence turned her head towards him and placed her horn on his, tears began to swell in her eyes. Because of Cadence, Shining Armour awoke from his trance and took a while to stand still and understand the situation, "No! I have to do something!" he concentrated on his horn and try as he might he couldn't do the protection spell. Cadence placed her born on his and the mane six watched in awe at what happened, Rarity in the meantime was being chased by a couple of changelings. She flew above the roofs and around towers but still couldn't get rid of them. Then she decided to lure them somewhere and trap them in that place, she just needed too find a place to lure them in to. Rarity turned a corner and saw a perfect place to trap them in. She flew straight into an alley, flying closer and closer to the end. Then when it looked like Rarity was going to smack her face onto the wall, she flew up into and out of the alley. Since the changelings had kept their eye on her they didn't have a good look at their surroundings, they watched Rarity fly up before smacking their faces on the walls. Rarity stopped flying and watched the chasing hunters be thrown away by Shining Armour and Princess Cadence's magic. "Now that took some time, who knew that using a counter spell would be so hard." Rarity flew across Canterlot and admired the view. The ponies were bustling about because of the reschedule of the royal wedding. To Rarity, Canterlot was still the same as ever, even when it was busy. When Rarity was able to get out of the city and floated to the grasslands near Canterlot. "I hope that's the last issue in this time period that I had to solve," she said as she floated up and thought time. But Rarity was very wrong indeed.
