They made it about ten steps before Steven, the sea serpent, spoke up to warn them.   "Oh silly me. I almost forgot to tell you about the group of pegasi that headed that way a few hours ago."   "Where did they come from?" Twilight asked hoping that this information was good news.   "Most of the flew in from that direction," he pointed towards the southeast, towards Ghastly gorge.   "Well thanks for the heads up but we still gotta go," Dash pointed out causing the group to express their thanks again and continue on. Steven just waved goodbye to save time he'd accidentally wasted. They forged on considering the possibilities and concerns that the information brought. ~~Rainbow Dash's POV~ A few hours later~~ //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Two nights ago a prophecy was fulfilled and, for the first time in a thousand years, Nightmare Moon landed on Equestrian soil. The sun never rose again but as she will discover one doesn't simply create eternal night without a few new obstacles. Nightmare Moon had defeated the royal guard and stopped the Wonderbolts before they could even leave their compound. Unbeknownst to us, a small ragtag group from Ponyville was currently en-route and Nightmare Moon had set traps to stop any who approached from land. There where traps to stop pegasi as well but a team of fliers skilled in their forgotten magic made short work of them. That almost brings us to the present but I'm going off topic so let me get back to the beginning.
