Prologue
A helicopter belonging to the Equestrian Armed Forces explodes. Wounding several inside and around it. It is night in the North Equestria region. Recently there has been a hostage crisis involving the Mane Six. Six mares who have been saving Equestria from danger for years now. The call came in from Princess Celestia. Telling the special missions force, the Joint Delta Task Force that they’re being held hostage by a town of cultists that believe in order to be friends they have to have their cutie marks, their self identity removed. The town’s mayor and cult leader, Starlight Glimmer as already escaped. While the town received their cutie marks once more. However there was still one sympathiser fired a RPG at the helicopter they arrived in and destroyed it. Members of the TFD retrieving their dead or injured comrades. A purple unicorn stallion with white hair, and a purple stripe, runs up to the nearest soldier. Who is a blue pegasus mare in a pink body armor.
“Where’s Sky Iris!?” Magic Tricks, the purple unicorn, asked.
“He was in the chopper when it blew up!” Iris replied, as she led the soldier she was carrying to safety to be patched up. Magic ran towards the helicopter in search for his fellow teammate.
“Captain don’t go in there! The chopper is about to blow!” Iris called back, but it laid on deaf hears. Magic wasn’t going to leave a soldier behind no matter what. It was how he was trained in the Equestrian Army.
“Sky!?” Magic said from outside the burning helicopter.
“Over here!” the blue pegasus stallion with red mane, yellow with green tail and white wings said. Said pegasus had his hind legs trapped under a jeep. Magic entered the helicopter to help Sky get out.
“Hold on Sky! I’m going to get you out of here and you will marry that mare of yours and you’re going to start a family.”
“What about you Magic? Leave me and start a family with the Princess!”
“If you die in here then I die in here!” Magic said, as he ignited his horn. “I’m going to move the jeep with my magic. On the count of three move your legs! 1, 2, 3!”
Sky Buster did as he was told, and painfully moved his legs. Now free Magic lifted Sky up in his magic and placed him on his back before running out of the helicopter just in time for it to explode. Colonel Firebrand was with the others from TFD and the ponies that wanted to leave the cult, namely Double Diamond, Party Favor and Sugar Belle.
“Colonel!” A cyan blue pegasus mare named Kim said, “Captain and the Lieutenant are still out there!”
“I got over a hundred soldiers to take care of!” Firebrand said, “we don’t have time to wait for only two!”
“HEY LOOK!” shouted another pony. Magic was running towards the dropship as fast as his legs could carry him. Along with Sky Buster on his back.
“Leave it open!” Firebrand ordered, as the dropship door opened once more. Magic tossed the wounded Sky Buster before getting in himself. The dropship lifted off of the ground and flew away as those who remained loyal to Starlight Glimmer fired at the dropship. Hoping to shoot it down.
Firebrand sat next to Magic Tricks. “That was another close one. Next time you may not be that fortunate.”
“You won’t have to worry about that.” Magic replied, “I’m retiring when I get back.”
The dropship was now past the North Equestrian borders. Flying higher to reach the airship it was stationed on. As a radio news anchor spoke about the results of the mission.
Earlier today Operation Griffin Claw was major failure. Despite it being a failure, the Mane Six, including a couple of villagers who wanted to leave has successfully escaped. The villagers are now granted asylum with Equestria, as they start new lives. Princess Celestia said those supporters for Starlight Glimmer will be arrested soon and charged with terrorism. Princess Twilight has stated that she will punish Starlight Glimmer personally if and whenever she is found… We’ll bring you more developments as this story continues.
