Prologue: The day they died
I was twelve when my mother and father both died of unnatural causes... Something was running and speeding around the room, it was too fast for me to see what was going on, all I could hear and see were my parents in the middle of the room screaming for me to run, suddenly a one of the speeding things came toward me, next thing I new I was ten houses away from where I was just before. I instantly decided to run back home... By the time I got back there was about five police mares and two ambulance mares... I told the cops everything I witnessed...
They didn't believe me...
At that moment I noticed the two black bags... Body bags... For ponies who just died.. those things had killed two ponies... While the police mares weren't looking I snuck under the 'stand back tape' and went to were the body bags were. I opened one... I wish I didn't..
Inside was a female body, she had a deep blue mane, two blue eyes and two pink wings and a pink coat... These were the same features as my mother had... The same features MY mother had... This was my mother... She, was dead...
Again my curiosity killed the cat and I decided to open the bag...
It revealed a earth pony stallion with a light brown mane, a mahogany coat colour... Same features as my father... Realisation flooded back to my life... Both my parents were dead, no coming back, they were DEAD...
It started to rain this brought reality back to me... I screamed... No longer did I care about being seen... My fired red mane Was soaked, my deep red coat looked damp, my Saphire eyes looked big,angry and upset, my overly-large wings couldn't help me fly... But they opened as wide as they could...
At this moment a pony put her hoof on my shoulder... I looked over my shoulder, tears still seeped from my eyes,it was the police captain rose-luck, she smiled...
The smile was so inviting and friendly... I couldn't help it I turned around fully and pulled her into a deep embrace... She followed the suit.
"Just let the tears flow..." She whispered
And I did... It lasted for ages I cried and screamed...
" why'd they have to... *hic* to be taken... *hic* from me?! " I managed to studder out
" The best things in life don't last forever..." She said calm Tone
" But I never... got to *hic* say goodbye! " I was starting to get angry...
"It's alright... I will take care of you... " she said sounding so sad and upset...
I cried for ages...
