It was a bright and sunny day. Normal day, Rainbow Dash thought when she got up next to Tank, in a robe. She yawned as she got up from her bed lazily, looking at the time. It was her day off, and she slept till 11:32 A.M. Rainbow Dash nodded and walked to her calendar, Saturday-
"PINKIE PIE'S BIRTHDAY?!"
Tank woke up, slowly raising his head. Rainbow facehoofed, and looked back at Tank.
"Why didn't you tell me yesterday as a reminder?"
Tank blinked.
"Uh-Huh, of all days you had to not look at the calendar yesterday."
Tank smiled. Rainbow sighed.
"Yeah, yeah, me and you."
She giggled, before walking downstairs. Being followed by Tank, she served his breakfast and hers. Now, with her day off, she definitely had to go to the market in town to get her marefriend a gift. Pinkie loves parties, baking, and Dash. A new spoon? Naw. Too simple. Jewelery? Got enough of it. A party? She already planned her own birthday!
'Ohh, this is harder than I thought! Celestia why didn't I just check the calendar yesterday?!'
"Hey Tank, got any ideas on what I can get Pinkie Pie? I need a little bit of help.."
Tank turned his head to face the Pegasus, whom was eating right across from him on the table. Yep. Dash let's her tortoise sit on the table. He blinked.
"A story?"
He nodded.
"But that would take forever. You know her party is today right?"
Tank nodded. He blinked again.
"A song?"
Nod.
"She did do that at my party....But, how am I supposed to think of a song in a couple of hours?"
Tank paused from eating for a little. Then, blinked and continued eating.
"Just think about her?"
He nodded, then blinked again, smiling this time.
"Oh...So, you want me to write a song about how special she is to me?"
He grinned wider. Rainbow smiled and set her spoon down with her wing from eating her wonderbolts cereal.
"You're right! I'll start on it after breakfast though, I'm still hungry."
"You smell like flowers."
Tank frowned.
"What do you mean that isn't a good song lyric?!"
Tank blinked.
"Too cliche?," she sighed, "Er...Why did I even agree to do this?"
Tank looked up at her with a smirk.
"So I though it was easy! I'm sorry I'm too confident."
Tank smiled.
"I know I'm not confident around her!!"
Tank shook his head playfully. He then tapped the piece of paper.
"I know, I know I'm going. My brain is trying to think of ideas, but my hamster is dead."
Tank blinked.
"It's just a metaphor Tank. There is no way a hamster is going inside my brain."
She chuckled before looking back at the paper. She sighed, then looked up at a photo hanging on her wall. She remembered that picture of her and Pinkie at the carnival. Pinkie had been playing almost all the booths with teddy bears on them just to win her marefriend a cute plush. Soon, Pinkie succeeded, getting Dash a big teddy bear, which Rainbow returned a kiss to Pinkie. Then, Rainbow tried winning her Pinkie a plush. But, money is money, and she ran out. Rainbow was disappointed, but Pinkie gave her a couple of bits. And thank Celestia, Pinkie finally got a cupcake plush. Soon, both found a photo booth, and took pictures, which both saved.
Rainbow giggled, and shook her head. She actually still had the big sized teddy bear lying around her bed, planning to one day give it to one of her future children.
'I can't wait to see Pinkie Pie again...What time is it?'
"Hey Tank, what time is it?"
Tank looked up at the clock behind his owner. Then looked at Dash. Blink.
"2:03?! When does the party start?!"
Dash said as she reached for the invitation given to her yesterday.
'Why didn't I check my desk as well?!'
The invitation read 5:00 P.M. Rainbow gave a sigh of relief. Three hours. She can work with that maybe.
"5:00 p.m, Tank, not so much time left on the clock."
Tank's eyes widened, and tapped the paper once again. Rainbow gave a groan of frustration. She had sat there two hours and nothing appeared on her head, her wings wanting to go into the open air, but she wouldn't move. Tank smiled.
"Okay. I can do this. Just think Dash! Give your hamster more running time!"

Snores can be heard from Rainbow as Tank nudged her head with a foot. Tank sighed, and stood there a little longer waiting for his owner to wake up. He looked at the clock to read 3:45 P.M. Almost lunch time, though Dash was taking him to the party, he couldn't eat till he got there. Tank can already smell his food aroma. Delicious, sweet, yumm-
"I GOT IT!!"
Tank nearly fell of the table at the sudden outburst of Rainbow. Dash shot her head up, flipping open to a clear page on her saliva covered notebook. She took the pencil in her wing and started writing. Tank opened his eyes to see his owner writing quickly. He smiled.
"Derderderder....ARGH! Still not enough! I barely wrote down five lyrics!"
Tank's smile formed back into a frowny face. Rainbow banged her head on the table, letting out a long groan.
"I can't do this! I can't do this! I can't do THIIS!"
Tank blinked.
"No I can't, Tank!.....What time is it?"
Blink.
"3:47?!"
Rainbow picked up her head to see her five lyrics written down. She can do this. As long as she has more time.
"Tank? Sharpen my pencil, I got these lyrics."

"What if she couldn't come? Or she forgot?," Pinkie let out a gasp, "DID SHE NOT CARE?!"
"Calm your horses, Pinkie Pie, she loves ya more than mah cider."
Applejack let out a smirk as she imagined Rainbow bringing a cheesy poem to the party to tell her marefriend, Pinkie. Pinkie smiled.
"I know she does. But, it has already been two hours since the party started, and not a single piece of rainbow hair has appeared."
"Ah know, ah know but- Well, would ya look at that. Try finding a mare wearing a plain white dress."
"Wait why? Dashie doesn't even we- DASHIE!!!"
Pinkie got up from her chair, and raced across the grass. She tackled Rainbow to the ground, and started planting kisses all across her forehead. Rainbow giggled. Pinkie stopped to look at her mare, and smiled.
"Since when did you start wearing white dresses?"
"Today. Sorry I came late, I was working on your gift."
"It's okay! Oo~ Really? What is it?"
"I won't spoil it, silly Pinks!"
"Aww, you and your surprises!"
Pinkie said as she helped Dash to her hooves. Rainbow looked at her with a smile.
"You look beautiful in blue Pinkie Pie."
"Aw, thanks! You look gorgeous as well!"
"Thanks."
Rainbow chuckled, and grabbed Pinkie's hoof, walking to a nearby table with her friends. Applejack smirked.
"Ya planning ta get married tonight or something?"
"What? We barely started dating!"
"About a year ago."
Applejack giggled as she saw Rainbow look away, blushing. Pinkie smiled.
"Later it'll happen, right Dashie?"
Rainbow looked back at Pinkie, and smiled. Nod. Rarity gasped.
"Oo~! I'll get started on the outfit designs!"
Applejack nodded, "Yep. So, which one of ya is going ta wear the tuxedo?"
Pinkie's mouth formed an "o" shape, "I don't know! Depends on our dream outfits!"
Applejack chuckled, "So, what have ya gals been dreaming of wearing these years?"
Pinkie tapped her chin, "Hmm...Either is fine with me! I'd look good," Giggle, "What about you, Dashie?"
"Uh..."
"Come on sugarcube! Don't tell me ya haven't dreamed about having a wedding."
"T-that's cause I haven't!"
"Ya smell that?"
"Smell what?"
"It smells like lying ta me."
"Argh! Fine, I've dreamed of having a wedding!"
"And ya wore?"
Rainbow mumbled under her breath. Pinkie looked at Rainbow. Applejack smiled.
"It's alright. Just tell us what you dreamed of wearing."
Fluttershy said as Rainbow looked up with a tint of blush, Pinkie spotted. Rainbow told them. In a voice not even Fluttershy can hear.
"What?"
Applejack said, prepared to get out a microphone out of no where, just in case it happened again.
"I said a wedding dress! I've dreamed of wearing a wedding dress!!"
Rainbow said as she looked around to see some ponies staring. She chuckled nervously, waving a hoof in the air to excuse herself. Finally, when everypony stopped staring, Applejack let out a chuckle.
"Ya didn't have to shout it out ta everypony! Now, they are gonna think you two are gonna have a wedding!"
Pinkie giggled hugging the tomato faced pegasus. Rarity smiled.
"Alright dear! Oh! I can't wait! I can already see the designs on each dress!"
Twilight chuckled, "Okay, we are getting off topic on what is going on today! Today, we celebrate Pinkie Pie's birthday! So let's celebrate!"

"Thank you, Rarity for the necklace!"
"No problem deary, it was my pleasure."
Pinkie smiled as she let go of the hug, and turned to her marefriend. Dash looked at her, heart racing, hooves sweating. Pinkie giggled, and walked towards her.
"Why are you so nervous silly billy?"
"B-because, ya know, i-im nervous about what you will think o-of my gift."
"What do you mean? All the gifts are gone off the table."
"Well, m-my gift is hoof w-written."
"Ooh! Really? Can I see it?"
"Sure, b-but, it's a-," Her eyes turned to look at Tank. Tank nodded with a smile, "It's a song..."
"A song? Aw, you couldn't have!~ Will you sing it to me? The mic is already on stage!"
Rainbow gulped, "O-Okay."
Pinkie giggled, "Well, what are you waiting for?"
"Yeah, go on sugarcube, for Pinkie."
Rainbow stood up with her hooves shaking a little, and looked at Tank for help.
Tank blinked, 'Just look at me or Pinkie when singing. If you have to, close your eyes at times. Now go on.'
Rainbow nodded. She slowly walked up the few steps and paused behind the microphone as she saw everypony now looking up, waiting. Rainbow took a few deep breaths, before tapping the mic.
"G-Good evening everypony," She found Tank at the crowd and looked at him, "I w-wrote a song for m-my marefriend Pinkie.."
Applauses were heard from her ears. She looked back to see Octavia and a couple of other musicians ready to play what she wrote on a few pieces of paper. One of them nodded, and she turned back around, now everypony was quiet as the music started to play. Rainbow panicked until she found Pinkie and Tank sitting together smiling. Her heart slowed down a little.

The musicians played the final piecepiece, and stopped. Rainbow opened her eyes to see everypony clapping their hooves together. She scanned the crowd, trying to find Pinkie, but she was no where to be seen. Only Tank. She almost went into tears, until she felt hooves hug her tightly. She turned around to see Pinkie Pie with tears on her cheeks, and a smile. Rainbow smiled, almost on the verge of tears, looking at her mare friend. They both hugged.
Pinkie Pie giggled a little sniffling, "Thank you Dashie, I love you!"
Rainbow let out a few tears before saying four words, "I love you, too."
