Pony Standard Time(PST) March 27, 1 Year Before Celestia bans her sister (B.C.) Undercover Soldier: Lucid “Dream” Night Hzfv Cmjzkxg (Fort Skyline) Tarerusha, Equestria (Present-day Ponyville) “Do you gentlestallions remember your positions?!” Commander Blizzard screamed over the loud thunder of tonight’s storm. “Yes, sir!” The soldiers responded. “Keep your eyes on the clock tower; at 0330 hours, we strike!” Dream, a dark blue stallion clothed in light medieval armor, turned his head to the side. “Hey, you got any darts left?” “Yeah, which ones? Poison or regular?” A gray pony answered. “Poison, about four more please,” Dream replied. “No problem.” 3:28 A.M. The commander looked up at the tower. “Tpagwdpf, fy pzh uzgly Vktpfwcjlb. Remember, do not speak Tarerushan.” Dream thought he heard footsteps behind his squad over the unrelenting rain, but he was ordered to stay quiet and act normal, therefore he chose to abide by the orders he was given. Dream was getting nervous, as the footsteps were becoming louder; his whole team was preparing a full on breach on an enemy intelligence headquarters. Dream remembered the new weapon that he was given before him and his squad were sent on their mission—a new type of blade; one that can be covertly worn on the wrists' and wielded with the press of a button. This wasn't Dream's first mission, no, Dream had been through many like these, but on this mission, he had a bad feeling. He knew that he should inform the commander of the footsteps, so he decided to just that. He opened his mouth, but before he could let out a single word, a loud, stern, female voice came from behind them. “Vssto vssa ktp! Otbgdh vrgx onv! (There they are! Arrest them all!)” “Wait! You have the wrong ponies, we're-“ Dream saw the commander get knocked on the head with a large baton. Lightning boomed overhead. “Hey, we are here to guard the west side of the fort! We-“ Before Dream could finish his sentence, a dark, hooded pony hit him on his back hip, knocking him to the ground. Dream saw his ally, who he, for some reason, wasn’t allowed to know his name, get knocked in the hip, just as he did. “Ahh!” “Thou shalt be quiet!” The female voice yelled again. She speaks our language. Dream tried to look at the figure who spoke. The uncover pony recognized the mare as the infamous Princess Luna. How could she do this?! Dream thought. Before he could move, Dream was knocked unconscious. 4:18 A.M. Dream woke up in a chamber in which he was tied to a table. Everything was barely lit by the Moon's light, yet Dream managed to make out what the room looked like to his right; it was nearly empty, save for him and another table. Everything was very dusty with aged cobwebs here and there, and moss on the brick walls. He looked up and saw a tall futuristic-looking pole, with ancient-looking rings that circumscribed it, aimed at the night sky. It was quiet, but the tap-tap-tap of rain could still be heard. What is this? Where am I? Dream looked to his left and noticed that his ally was tied to a similar table, but he was conscious. His ally slowly struggled to reach something on a nearby table. A scroll? When he finally grabbed it, he slipped it into his sleeve, and grabbed his sleeve tightly. Dream was about to ask what he doing, but his alley looked at him and shook his head. He was a light red-colored stallion, with his mane and tail two stripes black and one stripe an even lighter red. A door opened in front of them, and there stood Princess Luna. She didn’t say a word, and just walked to the pole that was between and behind the two of the tied prisoners. She glanced at Dream's squad mate and commanded, “Thou shalt be exiled!” “Untie him and introduce him to the Machine!” Luna ordered as two hooded ponies walked in.. Then the two hooded ponies began to untie Dream’s ally. After they untied him, they put him into the machine, which automatically tied his legs. Strangely, he didn’t struggle nor say a word. Luna pressed a button near where the scroll was and screamed “Bye!” And laughed, maniacally. The machine and the rain grew louder and three rings lit up blue. The cell the red pony was in moved slightly up. Then, in a flash of lightning, was ejected at an amazing speed. As Dream watched in horror as the cell was becoming a little dot in the sky, Luna slapped him. “And as for you, thou shalt be executed!” She yelled. Luna came close to Dream, and eventually kissed him, and whispered, “I’m sorry.” After another strike of lightning, the mare then repeatedly punctured Dream’s chest with a hidden blade similar to the one he had, until he expired, and then she began to tear up. “Clean up this mess, now!” She ordered. Discovery of Abnormal Solar Activity 11:48 AM PST March 26, 999 Years After Nightmare Moon was banished (After Darkness or A.D.) Twilight Sparkle Canterlot Research Labs (CRL) Canterlot, Equestria An astronomer, looked through a special telescope, “It seems like solar activity has picked up, as expected.” “Have you yet found a probable cause to the abnormal activity?” Twilight asked, looking through some papers. “No. Could be normal cycle or it could be something else. For now just hope it doesn’t become too violent,” another astronomer replied. “There's a legend you might know of; the legend that says Nightmare Moon will return tomorrow. What do you think?” Another astronomer asked. “Not likely; Nightmare Moon controls the Moon not the Sun. I appreciate your research and motivation, but can you all stay on science, not legends or myths?” Twilight said. “I'm just throwing out ideas.” “Woah, we’ve got a dangerous spike of radiation from another solar flare!” The first astronomer warned.
