Tears of a Rainbow
Everyone were so excited when we heard that the Crystal Empire has finally returned. Everyone was going to celebrate when the parade arrives in a honor to the reborn empire. I hope I will attend it, which means I will finally return to society.
Ever since I lost a stupid race against these gayass colts, who were picking on this shy filly, everyone never lets it go and kept on calling me ‘Rainbow Crash’. I could have won the race, if only I wasn't held back by a mysterious magic. I spent the rest of my life living with my parents and hiding from society.
It was morning, I was so excited to celebrate for the return of the forgotten empire. When I gotten downstairs, I found my parents were making breakfast. I sat next to my dad as he was reading the newspaper. My mom passed me my favorite breakfast: some hays, a milk, some fruits, and a delicious stack of pancakes.
After I was done eating, I could hear the crowd of ponies were already celebrating. I kissed both of my parent cheeks and was about to head out. Until, my mom shouted, “Rainbow sweetie! Would you mind if we could have a little chat?”
We gathered in the living room and I waited for one of them to speak. My parents stared at each other and my dad said, “Rainbow honey. How long has it been since you were out?”
I was confused and responded, “Ever since my first race when I was filly.”
Then, my mom spoken, “And why do you spent the rest of your life staying in the house?”
“Because everyone kept calling me…” I sighed and finished. “... Rainbow Crash.”
“Ever since then, we kept you company, feed you everyday, bath you, and even home school you. We moved to Ponyville, because we really hope that you would start a new life.”
“Sadly,” my dad added, “you never did and you resumed staying in the house.”
I was still confused and ask them, “Alright… where's this even going?”
They both looked at each other again and my mom says, “Rainbow sweetie… we don't think you should go to the celebration.”
I was surprised and disappointed of what they said. I was confused and I shouted at them, “WHAT?!! WHY?!!”
“Rainbow, we’re worry about your actions and your temper. What happens if you started a fight or might steal something? We can't be there for you. We can't tell you that everything is going to be alright, because it's not.” Tears were formed from her eyes. “We're not going through what you’ve done since you were a filly. I don't want to see my little baby become a criminal.” She lost it and began to cry.
My dad comfort her and finished, “Rainbow honey… we're not doing this because we hate you. We're doing this because we love you. I hope you’ll understand.”
I was so angry at them. I was planning to start a new life: becoming a wonderbolt, making friends, marry a special someone, and start a new family. Now, none of that was going to happen, because of my stupid parents. The next thing I was going to do… I regret ever doing it.
I smash the table and yelled at them, “WHY?!! WHY ARE YOU TWO DOING THIS TO ME?!! I HAVE BEEN A GOOD FILLY EVER SINCE I WAS A LITTLE PONY AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!!”
My mom cried in fear, “Rainbow, you don't understand-”
“NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!! I wanted to become a Wonderbolt. A buckin Wonderbolt! All of it was shattered by those stupid gay colts by teasing a innocent filly and calling me RAINBOW BUCKIN CRASH!! Now, here are you two forcing me to spend the rest of my life staying in this dump!”
My dad says, “Rainbow, we’re not doing this because we hate-”
“SHUT THE BUCK UP OLD MAN!!” Both of them were horrified by my anger. “YOU KNOW WHAT I DON’T NEED YOU RETARDS TO CONTROL MY LIFE!! I CAN CONTROL MY OWN LIFE!! SEE YA LATER LOSERS!!” Finally, I stormed out of the house, leaving my parents heartbroken. I wished I had never done that.
I landed behind a tree and spotted the celebration downtown. I was about to introduce myself to them, was about to start my new life. Sadly, I hesitated and I began to sob behind the tree, without letting anyone seeing me. I felt so terrible about what I did to my parents. I hated myself.
Suddenly, I heard movement in the Everfree Forest. I was about to check out the noise, but I remembered my parents told me that it's dangerous what lies beyond that forest. I didn't have a choice; I can't go back to my parents and I got no where else to go. Finally, I went inside of the haunting forest. I was wondering through the forest, until I spotted a creepy armored pony and it knocked me out.
When I regain consciousness, everything went to Tarabulus. Ponyville was under attack by a major threat. Smokes filled the clouds, fire roaring across the streets, and so many ponies were screaming in horror. I found myself with two armored soldiers standing by my sides. I heard one of them spoke, “My lord, this pony almost foiled our ambush upon this village. She could have caused a warning to the others and destroy everything we planned.”
I turned towards their leader and I spotted the monster. The past has returned to the present and seeks its revenge. It was the former ruler of the Crystal Empire, King Sombra. His sinister voice occurred, “You have stood trial against my future, foolish pony. You could've destroyed every single one of my plans, if only my minions stop you. Your punishment is… death.” He formed a dark crystal sword and he was about to execute me.
Until, my father voice cried to the ruler, “WAIT!!” He stopped and turned towards him. I also turned around and found my parents with some of the ponies among them as prisoners. “Please don't kill our little filly!”
The both stared at each other and nodded. My mom cried, “If there's anyone that should be slain… let it be us.” I was broken by what she just said. “Take our lives… just don't hurt our baby.”
Sombra was quiet and spoke, “Fine. Makes no difference to me.” He turned to his guards and demanded them to bring my parents to him. The first one stood before him is my dad.
I try to help them, but his minions hold me down. I watched helplessly as my father is about to meet his fate. I began pleading to the evil ruler, "Please! You don't have to do this!"
"I'm afraid that these couples have beg me to end their foolish lives," Sombra laughed. He turned to my dad and said, “Is there's any last words you want to say before you die?”
My dad turned to my mom and said with his last words to her, “Firefly… I love you baby. I'm sorry that I couldn't spend the rest of my time with you in this world. I am so happy that I marry a amazing mare like you.” My mom began to cry out, “OH BLAZE!!”
Then, he turned to me and spoke, “Rainbow… honey… I will always love you… no matter what. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a perfect life… but I want you to know that if I had one wish… is to give you a awesome life. Promise me that you will become a Wonderbolt.” Tears were falling out of my eyes as I nodded to my daddy. “Thank you… I love you… my little rockstar.” Then, Sombra slashed my dad neck.
I cried real loudly when it happens. I shedded so much tears like never before. I could hear my mom mourning for my dad death. Sadly, it doesn't end there. Next, is my mom.
I struggled to escape and save my mom, but it was hopeless. Sombra voice spoke to my mother, “Any last words before you share your husband fate?”
She turned towards me and she formed a weak smile. She cried out to me with tears in her eyes, “Rainbow honey… I want you to know that I'm sorry that I couldn't be with you when you become a strong mare. I wish me and your father would have been there with you when you're in trouble. I'm also sorry that we have to leave you alone in this world. I wish none of this have happened. I'm sorry for everything. I love you my little Dashie… I love you… I love you so much.”
As the nefarious king was slashing my mom neck, I cried in horror as my tears were dripping like raindrops. Finally, both of my parents died before me; I was all alone.
Suddenly, my anger just made the situation a whole lot worse. I roared in anger, punched and elbowed the guards besides me, grabbed one of their swords, and charged towards the murderer. Sombra try to shot me down, but I dodged them and stabbed him in the chest. Shockingly, he wasn't dead. He roared in anger and tossed me aside.
I was about to grab the sword, but he disingenuous it and he slapped me across the face. As he was holding me down, I was about to cried in anger, but I didn't. Instead, I cried to him heartbroken, “Please kill me… You took everything I love in this world, so I got nothing to lose… PLEASE KILL ME!!”
He grinned and spoke, “Oh, don't worry my dear. I'm not going to kill you. I'm a stallion of my word to your parents. Instead…” What he said next will haunt me forever. “... I'm just going to hurt you… Really… really… bad.”
Then, he formed a dark crystal and he levitated towards me. It placed by my left eye and he warned me, “Close your eye.” Without letting me close it, he pierced it above my eye and slowly drag it down across it. I cried so loud, the pain was unbearable. Finally, he stopped and destroy it, but blood was dripping out of the scratch. Sadly, the torture didn't end there. He whispered to my ear, “Say goodbye to your wings.”
I try struggle away from that shadowy monster, but he was too strong. He made me stop by biting my left ear. He almost tears my ear off, but he did tears some of it off. I couldn't hear anything out of my torn ear due to the blood filling it. “That's what happens if you refuse to listen to your king,” he yelled.
After he had gotten off of me, he used his sinister magic to formed crystals to lifted me up and pierced my left wing. I tried to escape, but everytime I try the more pain I will cry. After Sombra drawn my face towards his, I began pleading, “Please don't take away my wings! Please, I beg you!”
“Oh! I love it when you beg,” he laughed. “Now, prepare to experience the real torture of your life.”
Then, what happens next will always be my worst nightmare. He grabbed my trapped wing with his jaws and pulled it, furiously. I cried so hard as he slowly ripped my wing and breaking my bones. I try to look away, but he forced me to stare at my gruesome punishment. I ran out of tears to shed as he almost finished torturing my wing. Finally, he torn my wing.
After he ripped my wing, I stared at the sky slowly turned red in my eyes. I loosen my grip from the crystal and fallen to the ashes. I lost like half of my blood from my torn wing. As I was on the cold ground, instead of crying, I was panting because I got no tears left to shed. I watched him licking my blood and enjoying it. Sombra drawn towards me and began nuzzling my cheek; I could barely feel anything.
He gotten up and he was about to do the same thing to my only wing. If he torn my last wing, I could've die. He placed his crystal to held down my wing and was about to bite it. Then suddenly, him and his soldiers were attacked by Equestrian soldiers. As he was fleeing, his crystals disingenuous which freeing me. However, I can't barely move a single muscle and fell to the ground again. Before I pass out, I watched as Equestrian soldiers chased Sombra and his remaining warriors away.
When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital. For a second, I thought it was a horrible dream and I was in a accident. Sadly, it was real. They bandage up my bitten ear and my torn wing. I grabbed a mirror and found a scar mark across my left eye. I can only form a single tear to come out of me. I still can't believe I manage to survive that torture.
I gotten out of bed and try to find my parents. When I try to stand up, my whole body was still numb; I try to fight through the pain. Suddenly, the door was open and a nurse caught me. “Oh my gosh! Young lady, what are you doing out of bed,” she asked worry.
I ignored her question and tell her mine, “Have you seen a stallion with a same mane like mine? Or a mare that looks exactly like me but pink?”
“No, I haven't. Anyway, you need to stay in bed until the disaster is solved. Now, get yourself back to bed.”
Then, I shoved her and hurry myself out of the hospital. Of course, there were nurses and staffs try to hold me back, but never get between a awesome mare and her family. When I stepped outside, there were soldiers forming camps and setup posts. A couple of soldiers try to stop me, but I manage to get past them. They even warn me that Ponyville mayn't be safe, but I ignore them and rushed to my parents.
When I manage to enter Ponyville, it was like a ghost town. Ashes and dusts filled the air, burn strains on every houses, and ponies, with dusts and ashes on them, walked out of the poor town. I try to find the spot where I was torture, but it was too dusty to see. Luckily, I found it but there were no signs of my parents bodies. However, I spotted two black bags left in the open and the size of them matches my parents.
I took a deep breath before I unzip both of them. After I open them, I found my parents. Both of their eyes were shut and slash marks were remain on their necks. Then, I cried over their decay bodies and hugged both them. I cried to both of them, “I am so sorry that I've done this to y’all. I've never meant this to happen. I wish it should've been me instead of you guys. I never meant what I said to y’all back there. I was so angry that I don't know what I said. I'm not ready for y’all to leave me. I want y’all back. PLEASE COME BACK MOM AND DAD!! PLEASE COME BACK MOMMY AND DADDY!! PLEASE!!”
As I was sobbing over their deaths, a big shadowy figure casts upon me. I turned and yelled in anger, “LEAVE ME ALONE!!” Suddenly, I noticed that it was the ruler herself, Princess Celestia. My anger was cast aside and I resumed crying. “I’m so sorry your majesty,” I apologize to her while still crying. “I-I-”
I was cut off when she wrapped her wings around me and began nuzzling. I hugged her back and resumed sobbing in her coat. “Oh you poor dear child,” she said caring. “I’m so sorry for what happened to you and your family. No pony should ever go through the horror that you have witnessed. Is there anyone else you can rely on?”
I shook my head and responded, “I am the only one of my family. I'm all alone.”
As I was crying, she lifted me up to me her face to face. She wrapped away the tears and blood on my face and said, “Don't be afraid my little pony. I'm here for you. I will take good care of you.” I hugged her neck and resumed sobbing. “You're not alone. You will never be alone.”
I try to respond with calm but my sob gotten the best of me. “Th-Thank you, you-your highness.”
“You're welcome, my little pony. Tell me what's your name.”
Finally, I removed the tears in my eyes and answered, “Rainbow Dash. My name is Rainbow Dash.”
Later on that day, all of Equestria has heard one f King Sombra attack in Ponyville. Princess Celestia declared war against the tyranny. I even heard that monster controlled the innocent crystal ponies to do his bidding. Everyone must volunteer to either support or fight in the war. Princess Celestia announced me to be the leader of the air support. The doctors made a mechanical wing for me to fly. I swear that I will do whatever it takes to bring that demon down and avenge my parents. This is Rainbow Dash… keeping up the good fight everyday.
