Grogeness, tired, and just plum sore, where all the feelings that flowed through Twilight’s mind while her eyes slowly open. Her reaction was quick, with a glance she took notice of her surroundings. Instead of her familiar purple room, she now lay in a room covered in white, the room was very clean the only sound coming from the beeping monitor beside her.

Jolting upright she gasped, “Where am I? Pinkie!” she winced as her body responded not so kindly to her sudden movements. “God it feels like I went ten rounds with Tirek” her thoughts were pulled by a tiny whisper from the other side of her room.

“Umm, if you want I could try to explain?” Turning her head to the side trying to see where the voice was coming from, Twilight let her body relax, the sight of her timed, yellow friend calming her. Fluttershy smiled, “Thats if it's okay with you?”

Twilight went to respond, but was cut off as another voice seem to come from everywhere. “Hoo, hoo it's about time our sleeping princess rose, I must say Twilight it gets awfully boring around here, without you to tortur-I mean joke with” Twilight let out a sigh, before she started to focus on a non chas spell, only to bite back a groan, as her head started to throb in pain.

“Tsk, Tsk, Twilight you shouldn't be using magic, why with it being constantly drained and all that, what would your mother say?” the curtains that sat idly behind Fluttershy, slowly moved forward, transforming into a smiling Discord.

Fluttershy sighed “ We talked about this Discord, it's not nice to prank ponies, especially if they're sick” Discord only humphed as he crossed his arms over his chest, looking like a spoiled child who just got his candy taken away.

“Fine, I’ll behave-for now-, besides I think it's hilarious that she as no idea how long she has been here,” Twilight's brow lifted curious she went to speak, but another voice spoke.

“We think thou would have learned, when it was time to make with the jokes” the princess of the night herself slowly entered the room with a small smile. “It is good to see thy have awaken, fair Twilight, we sensed this and sent words to our sister and thy friends”

Twilight's mind was going into overdrive, nopony seemed to be giving her answers, just when she went speak, she was interrupted once more. “It is good to see you awake, my faithful student” Celestia smiled as she walked in, following close behind her where Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and last but not least Spike.

Letting Out an exasperated yell, Twilight screamed “Can somepony please tell me what's going on?” she gasped as she let herself fall back upon the bed, bringing her hoof to her head, “Sorry I didn’t mean to yell, I'm just really tired can somepony please talk?”

With a small smile, the hat wearing orange pony spoke, “Sorry ‘bout that Twilight, Ah reckon we're all just happy to see you awake, it's been a month since ah found you unconscious in your room,”

Bolting up once more Twilight screamed, “ A whole month? How in the world could that have happened?” She paused as all of Applejack’s words came rushing through her head, Her face became flushed in red as the gears started to turn,”Wait, you saw my bed room?”

“Eeyup” was all Applejack said while tilting her head in confusion, as Twilight brought her hooves together rubbing them slowly, while not making eye contact with her friend.

“So you saw everything right?” Twilight's voice came out as a mere whisper as her embarrassment broke through. Applejack just chuckled.

“Yep, Ah have to say, it was the strangest thing Ah ever did see.” It was Twilight’s turn to look up in confusion. Surly Applejack had to know what happened.

“Strange? Applejack, I know you live on a farm and all, but you have to of known what all that was, right?”

Applejack’s face grew stern at her comment, but she let it slide, “ Ah don't know what your talking about sugar cube, All Ah know is Ah came to see you, you had been missing for a couple of days. Ah arrived only to find a distressed Spike pacing in front of your door. Ah asked him what was going on only for him to tell me Pinkie told him not to open the door for any reason” Twilight’s eyes widen as the memory of Pinkie screaming before the lust took hold.

Without pause Applejack kept talking “ So without pause, Ah brought my hooves up and bucked your door clean off, only to stop to see a strange sight, you were laying sprawled out on the floor, stiller than a scarecrow, and on your bed was this strange, purple, and pink cocoon floating just above your bed. It just sort of sat there glowing all purple like” Twilight sat back once more letting the new information settle in, her thoughts were pulled by her mentors sweet voice.

“Thank you for that, Applejack,What she says is true after they took you to the doctor, Spike sent me a letter, me and my sister rushed to your side but could not make heads or tails about the strange cocoon. We were hoping you could fill us in on that?” Celestia smiled as she leaned in a nuzzled Twilight’s face.

Barely letting her thoughts settle Twilight whispered “Pinkie” right before she buried her face into her hooves openly sobbing, most of her friends look in shock at Twilight’s crying form, trying to think of a way to comfort her. One however let her anger show.

“See I knew the egghead had something to do with Pinkie’s disappearance!” Rainbow Dash’s wings flared, as she pointed an accusing hoof at Twilight’s shaking body. Twilight didn't bother to look up as she let another sob break through.

Seeing her friends distress, Rarity turned to give a death glare to Rainbow Dash, “ Now Rainbow! calm yourself, she hasn't even had a chance to explain herself yet, it is rude and unlady like to jump to conclusions, and if you recall this is Twilight where talking about” Rainbow Dash had the decency to look ashamed, pulling her hoof away, still keeping her wings aflare.

Twilight spoke in between sobs “It is my fault! I knew it would only end in disaster if one of my friends helped me,” Twilight felt her world start to shatter, sure her heat had subsided, but at what cost. Her musing halted as she felt a wing drape around her, bringing her into a timed embrace.

“It's okay Twilight, We’re all here for you, if that's okay?” Fluttershy started to hum as Twilight leaned into her embrace. After a couple of minutes Twilight pulled away with a small sad smile.

“Thanks Fluttershy, I guess I should fill you guys in on what I know” none of her friends showed any signs of hiding their curiosity, as the all leaned in closer, even the princesses leaned in. “ Well I started to have my heat, but unlike all the other times where I could sate it, it just grew more intense. No matter what I tried spells, sleep, touch, but all of it didn't help. Eventually it got so bad I couldn't leave my room. Finally Spike convinced me to send a letter to the princess”

Twilight took a moment to glance around her, “After, Luna got a hold of me by dream, to tell me to rut with someone. she suggested one of my friends, but there was no way I could ask that of any of you, that in my mind is something too special to sacrifice”

Her speech was cut short by a burst of laughter, “Really sugarcube? Ah think ya might of been over thinking it there Twi, haven't you ever heard of friends with benefits?” Applejack spoke while sneaking a quick glance to a slightly blushing fashionista, “Heck, Ah'm sure any of us would have helped you out, you would've only had to ask”

Twilight gave a frown at he friend’s words, “I’m sorry that I don't agree with you Applejack, but I was raised to the respect that it was something special, something you only gave to someone you love, so I couldn't ask any of you to do it. And like always Pinkie Pie had to show up at the worst of times” Twilight went to speak once more, but quickly leaned back, as Rainbow Dash leaned in real close nostrils aflare and teeth grinding together.

“Tell me you didn't take advantage of her, Twilight Sparkle!”

Twilight waved her hooves in defence, afraid of her friends radom anger, “No it was nothing like that! I tried to turn her away, but she kept pleading that she wanted to be the one to help me,” Rainbow Dash let out a slow breath as she leaned away from Twilight.

“Sorry about that Twilight, it's just that Pinkie has had feelings for you for a while now, and you know I treat her like a sister, I think I was the only one who knew?” She took a quick glance around noticing all of her friends shocked expressions.

“I know, she told me, and as soon as she did it felt like the dam broke, and whatever I was took hold. I lost control and let her in. Then we….we did the deed, a lot, at the end I only could remember reaching out to her before passing out” Twilight turned her head trying to hide the blush that was on her face.

Celestia only stood still in thought, trying to process the information, finally she spoke, “Twilight, this may sound like an odd question, but do you remember if there was another voice in your head, talking while you did -cough- the deed?” Twilights eyes widen at the question, only nodding her head.

Celestia smiled “I think I know what happened?” all ponies in the room turned there heads in question, “ It seems that Twilight’s primal power awoken, using your heat to take control” Twilight's eyes grew once more filled with curiosity, Celestia smiled before speaking.

“Twilight as you are well aware, you just recently turned into an alicorn, alicorns are gods in a sense, we all have power that no others have. Luna, Cadance, and myself were born with our powers, having our whole lives to control it. You have only had a couple of years. The power itself is a force of ancient power, my guess is that whatever is happening to Pinkie Pie, It probably cast a very old spell that only it could know,” Celestia stopped to look at her student, waiting for her response.

Twilight sat in awe, her mind was grinding away at all the possibilities. Se had to admit that what the princess said made sense, it was hard to explain but it did make sense. “Okay the answer is simple then, it just mean I will have to do research to figure out what spell was cast” She paused before asking one last question, “Why am I at the Canterlot hospital instead of Ponyville's?”

This time Discord spoke, “ Oh I get to tell this one, it's hilarious. you see Twilight that cocoon of yours was draining you of magic, and turn you started to drain your friends Oh you should have seen it, Applejack kept falling asleep against her trees, Rarity couldn't keep her eyes open, and Rainbow Dash did nothing but sleep, well that's normal though”

Twilight looked at her friends in worry “None of you got hurt did you?” Rarity took a step forward, taking a second to uptun her nose at Discord lack of tack.

“No darling, none of us got hurt, just tired. As soon as we pieced it together, we alerted Celestia of the issue, she decided it was best to separate you from the cocoon. But the distance did not hinder it, but luckily it started to take less and less magic it seemed, we all started to feel like ourselves,” Rarity smiled, giving one last glance at Twilight, hoping her friend wouldn’t beat herself up over something she didn't have control of.

After a couple of minutes of silence, Twilight looked up in determination “ Well if nopony's getting hurt anymore, than I can set my goals to the task at hand!” everypony looked in question at the newly determined mare, Rainbow Dash being the first to speak.

“And that is?”

Twilight slowly climbed out of bed, gathering her balance she walked toward the exit, “That's easy Rainbow Dash, it's time for research, So I can save my mate!”

Everypony in the room turned to each other in question, all having the same thought go through their head.

Did she say mate?
